Missed delivery even though I was in at the stated time. Was relying on delivery on my day off and cannot call them as they charge exorbitant rates for calls. To add insult to injury they even sent a snapshot of my front door claiming they were outside at 0905 while we were both in, one in the kitchen twenty foot away, one upstairs at the front of the house with window ajar. Before buying online in future I'll check who they use for delivery and avoid

Second time in a month I missed my delivery. Absolutely disgusting sick of waiting in all day for them to not even bother to try & deliver my parcel. Showing photos that are clearly not my address disgusting. You now on par with my hermes the worst courier in the UK. Congratulations As you can clearly see from the picture can't even be bothered to take a picture of the address he has supposed to have been to my house does not have horrible stones outside first of all.

It was not the first time I was at home, no one knock or ring a doorbell, instead, I just received the email "sorry we missed you". If we paid for the delivery we except delivery!

Ordered my item, next day delivery, driver couldn't find the house. ( Only courier firm that ever has problems locating me). I was patient and waited another 2 days for delivery, the item was delivered to the wrong house and the photo that was taken was so blurry it looks like it was taken by someone having a stroke on a digital camera from 1901. It's not my house but after wandering around my village trying to find it I managed to recognize a neighbour's doormat in the photi, the item is gone and the service department were about as much use as chocolate teapot, no info or advice, just hours on the phone waiting whilst staff checked their OS maps as they obviously don't have any computers or have an understanding of gps!

DPD you have a no 1 delivery guy, Kaushik. Always friendly, professional, very punctual, always within given time slot of 1hr. A good guy. Just delivered to Netherne CR5. Hope you give him a decent Christmas bonus.

The driver did not deliver the parcel. I hade been waiting in all day. He claimed to have tried to deliver it but took a photo of somebody else's front door! I rang immediately but had a very hard time getting through to anybody and even then was given no satisfaction. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Consistently fail to deliver when they say they will. Get message telling me that they couldn't deliver when I know I was in the house and they failed to turn up.

By far the worst experience I've had with a delivery company. We've used DPD in the past with great success, but when something goes wrong it’s a disaster with this company. So, a bit of context. We booked 2 parcels to be pick up from our house to be delivered to Germany, a Christmas present for my partners family. So here where it all goes wrong. On the day (Tuesday) of pick up the DPD drive only picked up the one parcel. We were like ok there might be another driver on the way... (as we booked the second parcel a little later on the Monday). There was no further driver. We called the DPD helpline (premium number) was on their hold for 30+ minutes to get through to the Customer service person. 1st Customer Service (CS) person (Tuesday evening). Explained to him all the problem and asked for the collection to be rebooked for the Wednesday. Yep done. We asked why the second collection never happened and he started to get "arsy" He found out the DPD warehouse had cancelled our second booking thinking it was a double booking. (we received no refund for the second booking). We explained to CS that this was not great practice as they should have confirmed with the customer before cancelling the booking. Day 2 (Wednesday). So, I waited another day no pick-up person at all.... I'm a key worker and I have now had to take two days off work!! So, we call the CS helpline again. Another 30+ minutes wait... we get through to Adam. Lovely guy and great help. He found out the 1st CS person had messed up the collection address and had it with a depo. (Great) Adan then re-booked the pick-up from our address the next day (Thursday). Day 3 (Thursday) So another day off work. Waited all day for the pick-up driver. So, decided to do some housework. I hear the letter box go. So, I open the door and there he was the DPD man. Well here where the fun begins. We tells me he waited 10+ minutes (this is not the truth as there was not even a knock on the door) and as he had scanned the "sorry we missed you" excuse card he told me he could not pick up the parcel....(I'm not a complaining person but 3 days waiting for this parcel to get collected and having a lame excuse not having it picked up, really hits the nerve) I have a loud doorbell and if he had actually knock on the door or used the bell I would have heard him. So off he goes. And here I am back on the phone to DPD CS. Another 30+ minutes wait. I get through to probably one of the worst CS workers yet. So, to put some context in this call. It sounded like she was having a party in the background with all the other co-worker (Working from home, I don't think so), I also hear the mobile notification sound going off. And she had a very strong accent. I told her the issue she was very unhelpful throughout. So, I just asked her to rebook the collection. (Doubt she did that. As no one turned up on Friday). I told my partner and she called the CS helpline. Another 30+ minutes wait. We get through to someone called Alan, by this time we had given up and wanted to chat to a manager. We were told that a manager would call us as this is there protocol. We did not receive this call or any miss call notification or voicemail. So here we are Friday we are on the phone in the morning the CS helpline. Thankfully this was a short hold time. Probably as DPD probably have not messed around with anyone's day yet. 1st CS person an Indian lass by the name she gave us. we explained to her the problem and told her our frustrations…. Yep she hung up on us. Great CS. 2nd CS person, Tom his name was lovely person. This time he noted down all our grievances and guaranteed us a call back from the manager. 4 hours later (you know your feeling like a well valued costumer being made to wait 4 hours to chat with the manager). So, I chat with the manager who as much help as a chocolate fireguard. He gives me the Sorry speech (well saying sorry and not fixing the problem nor is it really an apology). No fix to my problem no compensation. Then he tells me he can't even book the parcel back in for Pick up. Yep the CS MANAGER who can't even rebook for Pick up. So, I ask him what I should do. We tell me the make a new booking with the Company (parcel compare) we booked with. So, all in all avoid using DPD. 60% of the CS team and managers are incapable at their jobs and need serious retraining. The Pick-up drivers and warehouse admin team are incompetent and all need a lesson on CS. Last but not least the Pickup driver - no mask, no gloves and I doubt he sanitizes his hand after every delivery/ pick up. And his attitude stank. We try to put in a complaint through the DPD website. Yep that those not work too. We reported it to Tom in the CS team. We have put in a Complaint through Resolver.co.uk to submit our disappointment with this Company.

I ordered express delivery for an item from an online retailer, DPD texted and emailed me giving me my hour delivery slot. I made sure to be in all day to be able to accept my delivery, I also allocated a safe place in the off-chance that I didn't hear the van arrive. Instead, I receive a 'We missed you' text and went online to see what had happened only to be shown a picture of a house that I do not recognise as apparent proof that they were at the property. I'm extremely annoyed as I was counting on this parcel arriving today and that is why I paid for express shipping from the online retailer. Furthermore, I have found it seemingly impossible to contact anyone from DPD to lodge a complaint or receive an update on my order. The website is extremely unhelpful and borderline infuriating as pages often show an ERROR statement.

Total calamity with shopto PS5 order. Went to the wrong depot on the day it was to be delivered, only to be sent to another wrong depot the day after. Paid for an upgrade, to be delivered at a set time, was confirmed and failed. Now there is no delivery time and customer service is by bot. No idea where the package is and if it has been lost.

Reported a driver for using my classic car as a resting place for my delivery in order for him to take a POD photo and causing damage to the wing in the process. Added to this he rocks up at my address on a sunday morning unannounced to confront me about making a complaint about him, i find this stalker like behaviour. Added to this how the hell does he know my address details from a week maybe two ago from delivering? At the time he turned up my 8 year old son was there, which if it turned ugly would have been distressing. I’ve sent repairs quote three times now and they’re still saying it hasn’t been received and asking for cctv evidence. I made it clear WE DONT HAVE CCTV but they keep asking its appalling the way my complaint has been handled, and the fact the driver randomly turned up on my doorstep surely it’s a GDPR breach him having my personal details? pretty creepy really. UPDATE: Had email today 20/11 the person responding on email now accuses me of being abusive to the driver when he turns up out of the blue on a sunday morning of all days to confront me about the damage to my car. They are using this as an excuse to say as i was abusive the depot are not letting the driver have anything to do with it, and are now saying i should use my insurance company, even though i’m not at fault, they are. Still left with £200 damage to my classic mini and they’re refusing to accept responsibility as i don’t have CCTV to give them, i don’t have CCTV not everyone does, the driver sent POD a photo with the package on my car is that not proof enough the parcel was on the wing of my classic car? DPD disagree, i will continue to expose this incident further till i get a result.

Took almost 8 weeks and 3 hours on phone/webchat to get my parcel delivered to Australia. They managed to lose it in that time. Various customer services members contradicted each other and gave me incorrect advice. At the end I complained and they took zero responsibility for it. A waste of my time and money

Didn’t deliver Amazon subscription parcel despite instructions of where to leave, on second date waited in and no one showed but got text couldn’t deliver, rang customer services Tod Depot Manager would ring, didn’t. Left review on Trustpilot Dpd said I would be contacted soon , 3 days and 3 phone calls to customer services later and they still haven’t. NOW they’ve returned parcel to Amazon saying undeliverable!!!! Unbelievable - was regularly delivered until they got hold of it - don’t think I’ve met a more incompetent company with zero management capacity (check out indeed reviews from previous employees) and shambolic customer care. Hope this helps future customers to stay well clear of this company and pass on to anyone you can. Even the customer complaint process on website just takes you to a “page not found” not surprising will be overwhelmed. But Martin Lewis ( The Money Man) has a site with links of how to claim as Dpd has a history of incompetency and appalling customer care. Will be passing on to Amazon, please do the same.

DPD lost my parcel and refuse to pay the compensation as per our contract. I sent an item using the app shipping service which never arrived with the recipient. Instead another item (a car part) was incorrectly delivered twice (each time DPD collected the item they had incorrectly delivered). After over a month and a half of corresponding with DPD over email, phone call and filling out forms they have failed to locate the item I shipped and now have rejected my claim for the cost of the item despite this being within the standard £50 cover they provide as part of the service. To add insult to injury they are now pretending they would never have entertained the claim for compensation if they had known what the item was (a pasta bowl) despite me mentioning that it was a pasta bowl every single time I spoke to them / when corresponding in writing. I have wasted hours communicating with them only to finally have my claim rejected. I understand they may choose to exclude certain fragile items for cover in terms of damage but this is a case where they have simply lost the parcel completely. If you can't successfully deliver an item and you lose it then it should not matter what that item is, you are responsible for paying for a replacement within the £ limits of the cover you offer as part of your service. I will never use this absolutely useless company to send anything again and will consider taking legal action to recover the amount in question.

Parcel due friday (last week) I was given 1.5 hrs notice and sadly I was out so missed the delivery. Rearranged for today, got a text saying it should arrive 11-12am - never came. Phoned customer services who couldn't care less. They told me it would be here tomorrow at 1pm precisely! Then got another text saying it would be delivered 16.45-17.45 (same day). I have been in all evening and now received a text saying that they have missed me and to rearrange for another day. Frustrated is an understatement. I am a key worker and had to take an unscheduled day off work for this today. Who knows if I will ever get my parcel? It has had lots of miles on it.
