Following on from my previous review ,and in fairness my hedge /chainsaw trimmer has been delivered. Only 2 days late. Not used it in anger but works under no load. Unit made in China but quality is not too bad. Just being fair but comments on phone response are true and I think if I need a spare part I would just chuck it away and put it down to 125 pounds of misjudgement rather than a nervous breakdown trying to get a part.

The list of excuses for not delivering product continues to grow. Today I was told that they cannot supply a replacement unit until they have received the faulty one at their premises. So now, having collected the faulty unit yesterday, they are promising to ship a new one by Express delivery next Monday, so if I am really lucky I might have a working unit by Tuesday. Please also be aware that they are now offering discounts to encourage you to Pre-order. The particular item I looked at is not expected to be available until 27th July, but they will take your money now - and who knows when you will actually receive it !

I only wish I had read these reviews before ordering from Eckman. I am in my 70th year and disabled so when I saw a LIGHTWEIGHT (3.8kg) 9 foot hedge trimmer I ordered it. I payed for express delivery, £7.99 and received standard delivery. I was refunded the difference. When the item arrived it was at least twice the weight stated. I have tried to contact the company 3 times by telephone, and have been unsuccessful and I have sent 1 e-mail again no response even though their web page says all e-mails will be answered within 24 hours. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with and I agree with several other reviews that it should be closed down. Graham H

Be warned, please. This company is a scam. Ordered a hedge trimmer and became suspicious when trying to call. The phone was answered but fave a different company name, when I asked if this was Eckman, there was an awkward " eh yes". Paid by credit card, so contacted card provider who stopped the payment and raised a dispute. I have contacted trading standards , these scum bags need stopped.

Further to my earlier reviews. Despite being promised that Eckman would arrange to collect the faulty unit and deliver a good replacement unit this afternoon (Fri 17th July) Yodel turned up at 8:10 p.m. this evening and collected the faulty unit, but they did not have the replacement ! Unsurprisingly, Eckman have not been in touch to let me know what happens next. I might be willing to give them the benefit of any doubt if they would just be honest with me, but sadly that does not seem to be the way they work. I really despair of this Company and have filed a complaint with Trading Standards.

This company is not even worth one star. I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am! In short, damaged product returned on 24th June, still waiting for a refund! No response to emails, which they claim to respond to within 24hours, and they don't answer the customer service number, despite the recorded message saying the call is important! The website says UK based customer service line is open on fridays from 8am.....I phoned this morning at 8.55am to be told by a recorded message that the offices were closed. What a shambles! I will not be recommending this company to anyone & I will not order from them again.

Again not worth one star. Two months ago i ordered the 2 in 1 back pack unit - it worked great for an hour - e mailed the company and they collected the item as agreed on June 11th with the intention of replacing with another, despite numerous e mails and sitting on the phone for hours ever since - just to be passed to different departments and wait in yet another queue - i have not received the replacement. Customer service is a disgrace

Warning - do not use this company. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee but you will be lucky if you receive a response from them in 30 days. My elderly father ordered a pond pump in May. Upon arrival several of the parts were missing. I contacted Eckman on 23rd May and they said they would despatch the missing parts. 3 weeks later, numerous calls and emails and nothing! Eventually they old me the supplier was awaiting new stock. Again it didn't turn up. Numerous emails and calls and they said they could not supply the parts so would collect it and despatch another. They arranged to collect but didn't turn up! Second time they did turn up but didn't deliver a replacement! Eventually they told me they could supply a replacement so would arrange a refund! I am still trying to get a response or refund from them, nearly 2 months on! At the same time I purchased an indoor tray of strawberry plants. I still have the tray but still no sign of any strawberries! I would steer well clear of this company, their customer service and professionalism is zero.

I ordered 2 wildlife cameras online on 30th June. 3 days ago I called their Irish helpline and after a wait of 20 minutes was told the cameras had been out of stock but had been despatched last Thursday and should be with me no later than today 16th July. Yeah you've guessed - they didn't arrive today either. Only found this website today and am appalled to find I am dealing with a dodgy business. I will update this review.

bought a trolley pressure sprayer which broke after first use arranged courier collection this was 4 weeks ago keep getting in queues for the phone and getting no answers.What a dreadful company will not be dealing with them again.

Oh dear I wish I'd seen this site earlier.. This company is a disgrace. Like others I ordered on line and then nothing!!! EVERYTHING you read in these reviews is true. Can't believe a company like this exists in this day and age. PLEASE TAKE NOTE AND SHOP ELSEWHERE.

Beware! I tried several times to contact these people about an order by e-mail and by telephone. No response to e-mails and as far as by phone I have wasted up to 20 mins on a premium rate line being told by recorded message that my call is important to them so please hang on. In all I must have wasted nearly an hour to get through and still didn't get to speak to someone. There is no address to write to them and I dread my next telephone bill. I can't even cancel my order once given on line. After this I wouldn't buy even Gold bricks from them even at a fiver!

Customer service is ABSOLUTELY APPALLING - I paid for a product on 1 day express service - It is now 7 days and still nothing - I have sent 3 e-mails to try to see what is going on and nobody has bothered to get back to me - I called them on their 0844 number which is chargeable and was left on hold for over 20 minutes only to be told I was being transferred to customer services for which the phone was left ringiong for over 7 minutes and then somebody just hung up on me before speaking. I will NEVER NEVER order anything from this company again.

Ordered goods online on 6 June 2015. Product out of stock due to enormous demand, but apparently with couriers on 25 June. Rang customer service 10 July (got through which seems unusual for this company) promised call back. No call back. Subsequent attempts to get through later that day and the following morning resulted in waiting on for 20 minutes (although my call was "important" to them) and gave up. Email ultimatum on 11 July, ie deliver by close on 15 July. No respond and no product. Have now asked credit card company to reverse transaction. According to Companies House Eckman Limited was incorporated in 2014 and has a £2 share capital. It presumably traded through a different company before. I wonder what happened to that?

Update on my review of yesterday. I rang their sales support line at 0800 when they opened this morning but still had to wait 15 minutes. I was told it was a 'sales line only' and could not help with queries on existing sales. he offered to put me through to customers services. I pointed out that their brochure gives the hours of customer services as 0900 to 1700 and he agreed they were not yet open. At 0900 on the dot I rang their customer services but again had a queue but only 10 minutes this time. I was told my order was despatched at 1503 the previous day by Yodel. I asked for the despatch reference and was told that 'it had not yet been entered into the system but I would get an e-mail today giving it to me. Surprise , surprise no e-mail about the despatch but each day this week I have received an e-mail from Eckman about new offers!. This seems to me a classic case of a company over-trading having neither the staff nor the finances to manage the level of business they aspire to. Will wait a couple of days to see if the order turns up.

What a dreadful company. Placed an order on 2nd July have had to make 2 telephone calls. I was told products were dispatched on 6ThJuly and must have got mislaid in transit. I was also told they would contact the delivery company and confirm by Email they would resend items I have received nothing. From the number of complaints I think the police should investigate this company.

Took my money, Goods out of stock, THEY DECIDED TO SHARE THIS WITH ME ONLY AFTER CHASING THEM, me having paid for express delivery. Still they havent credited myaccount after 14days. BE WARNED

An update on my earlier review. I have finally managed to contact Eckman Customer Services today, on their paid phone line. I have been advised that they are not aware of a general problem with the EKPMT02 multi-tool system, and have promised to deliver a replacement item, and collect the old one on Friday. They assured me they will check that it does not have the same fault as the original. When I asked why I had not received a response to my email sent last Friday, I was told that they have a backlog of over 1000 emails to deal with. Let's see what happens on Friday !
