Scammers. They dont send you a email where and how to pick-up the car. You get 1 email with 1 button and when you click on it your credit card got charger for extra insurance. You wont get your money back. Even when you call just after you clicked the button. You lost your money!!!

Please for everyone, be advised that this company is stealing to customers. Don’t rent from this company and add car, which are the car rental company that works with them. My husband is a lawyer and we’ll sue them. Is not a money matter, it’s just the fact that they are playing with the necessity of the people. We saw all the customers complaining the day we were there, and they didn’t have the car we rented and they are not giving us our money back. Please don’t do business with this scoundrels

Worst company ever!! I made an reservation by my name but they didn't ask for driver information. It was only for payment and reservation. My driver license get lost in the airport and I told them this. Also show an official paper from my country government that I have a license but it is stolen/lost. They didn't help us to change the reservation by my friends license. I had all the documents that show it was me so there were no conflict with my identity control. We called costumer services for help for approximately 2 hours but no one answered. They didn't give us the car and they didn't pay our money back which we payed all the money from the beginning.

I arrived to collect the car on time with all necessary documents (voucher, driving license, passport, ID) and three credit cards under my name, each with the required 2000 Euros deposit funds. The issue arose because my cards are in Turkish currency, while the company demanded the deposit in Euros. Turkish banks do not provide credit cards in Euros, making it impossible for anyone in Turkey to rent from this company. Although my cards work abroad and convert transactions automatically to Turkish Lira, this company insisted on Euros only, which would also affect US customers. I offered to pay in USD cash, but they refused. Additionally, my voucher stated no extra deposits were required, so the 2000 Euros deposit was unexpected, especially for a 70 USD rental for four days. Despite agreeing to the deposit as a security measure, the issue remained the currency and payment method. Ultimately, I lost 70 USD as they refused to refund, despite their support team initially agreeing with me over the phone and instructing me to email for a refund. They replied: "Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund on this occasion. When you completed the reservation, you confirmed that you read, understood, and agreed to the Cancellation and Non-refundable Policy. Therefore, you accepted the transaction, made the reservation, and received confirmation. Kindest regards."

INSURANCE SCAM | DO NOT BOOK 1. Attractive prices 2. Onsite scam where they demand you contract an insurance that is 5x the price of the rental, else they keep the car Their scamming strategy goes: 1. Onsite, they rely on the fact that you are abroad, after a long flight, and you anyways NEED the car 2. The onsite complicit "rental car" companies tell you to complain to EconomyBookings cuz it's not their responsibility 3. On the phone, EconomyBookings says it is the rental car company's own terms, not theirs (NOT advertised anywhere) Typical Russian hack.

I never received a car at the airport. The staff told me that they did not have any vehicles that day, and in order to make my hotel connection I had to pay through the nose to another company to receive a car. When I called Economy Booking to demand a refund for having no cars at the airport, I was dismissively told that by the phone representative that it was not their problem and I would not be receiving a refund. Do not EVER use Economy Booking for rental cars!

Overall i got a car but it was huge issue with an insurance where i spent extra money for new insurance from car rental. I booked a car via economy bookings on Madeira with full coverage insurance as i do always because don't want even to think about any possible damages, theft or whatever. Story started when it i was at pick up desk of rental company where i was asked if i want insurance coverage. I was surprised of it but long story short. Economy bookings did fraudulent action and giving misleading information where they stating that car was booked with full insurance. In fact it was third party insurance with excess of up to 1700EUR that's what "Full coverage" for economy bookings and that's what i think misleading. Eventually i had to buy a real full coverage insurance from rental company. I tried to explain my case to economy bookings my case and that i want my money for insurance, that's the only answer i got "As you have taken our Full Coverage option, your excess is covered by this product in case of an insurable event up to a maximum amount of 1 700 EUR." and then they started ignoring me. Awful experience of the support, fraudulent car insurance policy of the company. Will never do it again and not suggesting because at the end the prices at the company which i rented were the same but the process much more transparent and honest.

This company is a scam. I booked a car though their website and they also sent me a confirmation email. However, at the airport the car rental company did not have any availability. I requested for a refund by calling economy bookings customer service. They said they cannot refund online and that I have to email their support group. It’s been a month and I still haven’t heard back.

I booked a car rental in Istanbul through Economybookings.com, and their supplier was DMR Car Rental. I paid £143.80 plus 100 euros as a deposit since DMR did not accept any of my credit cards. From the second day of my rental, DMR Car Rental became unresponsive to my queries regarding toll charges. Initially, I didn't suspect anything was wrong. A few days later, my car was towed by road parking enforcement. When I contacted the police and went to retrieve the car, I was informed that DMR Car Rental had gone bankrupt and closed their business. The car owner, who had leased the car to DMR, reclaimed the vehicle, and the police handed it over to him, leaving me stranded. I raised a dispute with my bank and Economybookings.com, seeking a refund for DMR Car Rental's failure to fulfill their commitment. Economybookings.com refunded the £7.12 I paid to them but took no responsibility for DMR's actions. My bank requires proof that DMR Car Rental is out of business to proceed with the dispute, but Economybookings.com refused to provide any written confirmation, despite ceasing new bookings with DMR. This experience has been extremely disappointing. I trusted Economybookings.com to support me if anything went wrong with their suppliers. Their lack of responsiveness and professionalism is unacceptable. I will never book with them again and advise others to be cautious, as they do not take responsibility for bookings made through their platform. booking no: B46295586

Economy Bookings is a legit website. I book my cars through them quite often. Where people are messing up is Booking through Green Motion... Routes... Next car which are all off name brand rental car places...Stick with Hertz...National...Dollar...Budget or Thrifty...places you know and trust...Economy is just third party like Expedia or Priceline...they don't have nothing to do with the company YOU CHOOSE once you arrive. P.S. and YES they give you your money back or a credit for a future rental most of the time unless it states otherwise.

Do not shop from this website. Because if you want to cancel your reservation, even within the rules, they keep your money. So what they call cancellation is actually not cancellation. They do not return the money. They are waiting, you will forget and that payment will burn there. In my opinion, this is a very vulgar fraud. Here's what happened to me: On 24 February I rented a car through the economybookings.com website. Before the rental I checked that there was free cancellation. 2 days before the free cancellation date, on 26 February 2024, I cancelled the booking due to a change in my schedule. I then saw that the refund did not go to my credit card but to a place they call "Wallet". I wrote to Economybookings.com about this through various channels, but you gave me responses like "you can still cancel" "check our cancellation policy". The problem has not been resolved for months. They have not refunded my money for months. I request that the payment be returned to my credit card immediately. This is fraud, I will follow it step by step.

THAT CAR RENTAL DID NOT EXIST We rent a car which we did not received. Pick up date 16.03.2024 at Guatemala City Airport. We wait 4-5 hours calling here and there NOTHING. The contact Number was wrong number. We had to rent a car by another Company PASS Rent a car SO after all that we did not get REFUND, the reason customer did not show to pick up :-( bookinggroup.com is scammer

Booking Group or economybookings.com is a SCAM. Do not use them. This is my experience on June 1, 2024, I pre-paid for a 5 day car rental in Tampa, Florida (USA) on economybookings. I got what I thought was a great price from what turned out to be a scammer rental company called Green Motion Car Rentals. Green Motion refused to rent me the car unless I specifically paid for their additional insurance which would 3x the cost of the rental saying I don't have enough insurance (I have plenty of insurance including up to $300,000 on accidents). So I refused to pay for the bait-and-switch and returned to the airport to rent somewhere else. When I asked for a refund of my pre-paid rental because Green Motion refused me service, Booking Group / Economybookings just gave me the run around and ignored me for over a week. I emailed them, and they told me to email another address. When I tried to call them, I got completely lost in their Automated Voice Recognition system since there was no option to talk to a real person. I sent them multiple emails and they just kept ignoring me by not replying. Finally, I got fed up and got my money back through the chargeback process from the Credit Card company. As you can see, economybookings is just part of the bait and switch rental scam. Don't waste your time with these guys. They allow scams on their site and they don't support you when you complain.

Booked a car for my trip to Bulgaria paid 600bgn deposit as you do with all hire companies, 2 weeks later I still haven’t received my deposit back emailed customer service and guess what no response

I rented a car for a week but had to cancel due to bad weather and cancelled flight. They stole the full amount of over $500! I don’t care what their small print says, but this is outright thievery. Do business with companies who have fair policies. Read the reviews of so many angry customers before you get caught in their trap.
