AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID If I could give an even lower rating, I truly would! Purchased a £500 bike on their website through a finance company that are provided as a method of purchase. Ever since, all I’ve had is problems. It’s also been a month since receiving my dispatch email and still no contact or sign of delivery! 1. Customer Service Beyond appalling, honestly. They want to shut their customers up rather than deal with the MONTHS delays they’re causing and refusing to answer ANY emails or calls. Little to no contact whatsoever! Just have a look on their Facebook and read the comments from people who have had awful experiences - because they’ve turned off the reviews so they can’t be slaughtered. 2. Waiting/delivery times Initially told 7-14 days for build times for the bike. No problem. 24th or 25th of April was my purchase date. 8th of May I received a dispatch email but no information on who with, when to expect it etc... literally just said “good news. Your bike has been dispatched from our warehouse!” Looked on their website and they had changed their information to say it will be an 18-21 day delivery time. (Still no back at time of writing 07/06/2020) Since then, I have written multiple emails Asking where my product is - to get no response. I then contact the finance company to discuss my cancellation after reading all of the customers comments on their Facebook page and that they have been waiting months for their expensive products too - even those who ordered a couple of months before me. Wait.. it gets better. So upon ringing the finance company to complain, they told me they were under the influence that I had received my product as Evans Cycles approved they contract to say they could start charging me money as I’d received my bike. LIES. Pure LIES!!!! Sent another email telling them I’m cancelling (upon instruction by the finance company) and was told they have 14 days LEGALLY to respond to this - to which it’s now been 16 days and no response. You couldn’t write it! Absolute awful company who do not give a damn about their customers or their customer service as long as they’re getting money one way or another, even if it involves scamming the finance company! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Terrible company. Over two weeks and still no bike. The bike was in stock and Evans cycles say dispatch time is 3 - 7 days. Phone lines shut. Web chat only which is constantly busy. Will never use them again.

Appalling customer service - do not use Appalling customer service. I appreciate this is a difficult time for everybody. I won't go into the details of my own experience other than to say that Evans are not responding to any customer service enquiries through any channel. If you send them an e-mail they say they will get back to you in 10-14 DAYS! The most frustrating point is that they continue to quote 3-7 days lead-time on their website and run marketing promotions, when they are clearly completely overwhelmed with existing orders. Just taking cash from people and not responding to customers. I am currently trying to cancel my order!

Appalling service. Ordered a bike 11 days ago and have heard nothing since the order was confirmed. My bike doesn't even need assembly because I bought an ex-display bike that was already built. Have tried calling them to find out what's going on, but their phone support is totally suspended. Have emailed them for information and the stock message I received said it would be 15 DAYS before I can expect a reply. At this point I would like to just cancel my order but there's NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM to do so. Coronavirus is no excuse - For one thing, bike shops have been allowed to stay open throughout. And I didn't even place the order until after the first lockdown restrictions were lifted. Suffice to say, I will never order from them again.

Very angry. Buying a new bike is supposed to be an exciting time, but not so with my ‘buying’ experience with evans. Not even gonna go into the details! £825 gone. No bike. No way of contacting . Awful.

DO NOT EVEN THINK OF BUYING A BIKE ONLINE FROM THEM! Waited over three weeks to get an email informing me the bike had shipped, a week later still no bike and cannot contact anyone... this business will definitely go bust!!!

100 year heritage is currently going down the pan due to the service being provided to their clients. Money taken instantly, whilst delivering the products is not happening with no way of contacting them to ask what's going on. Have a look at TrustPilot or Evan Facebook page to understand the extent of the issue. Phonelines closed, web chat unavailable, emails non responsive, FB messenger non responsive. It goes on.... I'm on day 22 and still no bike, no knowledge of when it will be delivered and no way of cancelling because you can't get hold of them.

Extremely poor communication unfulfilled delivery, no response from the contact page. Email to customer services with no reply for over 7 days. Still have no idea when or if my purchase will arrive. Absolutely shocking.

Phones not answered, web chat never available, don't reply to emails, they take the money and then nothing happens. If they are that overstretched, stop taking orders! Will never use them again even if the bike does eventually turn up.

Worse online shopping experience ever. Don’t believe ‘in stock’ status or delivery times, both a complete lie. Don’t expect any customer service, cannot call anyone, web chat is never available, you can email customer services but there is a 14day response time, which has long passed. Still have no idea when or if my purchase will arrive. Absolutely shocking.

Placed order and was told it would be 10 days. After three weeks got a note to say my order had been 'dispatched', but no way of tracking. One week later, still no bike, and no way to contact them. Even their shops can't tell me when it will arrive. Buy elsewhere

Ordered goods on line Yes you expect delays at the moment 18 days ago noted as stock allocated But not dispatched Phone lines are closed On line is never open E mails are not responded to According to shops even they cannot contact their Head Office..what a load of rubbish First and last order Avoid and go elsewhere!

INFURIATING The people in the shops are lovely but the head office management is spectacularly bad. Originally I'd bought a bike there thorugh insurance and had it delayed and stuck and reviewed. When I asked for a discount because I'd had to pay out for public transport for 8 weeks while it all stretched out, I was told they wouldn't be making a profit if they did that, sorry. Fast forward a few years and my steering column snaps mid cycle with no warning landing me on the street with luckily no major injuries. I took it in for what I would have expected to be some acknowledgement of a product defect and instead I get a bunch of phony excuses. I had to chase them for MONTHS for what was originally only promised to be 2 weeks. They then recommended me the wrong size fork, no sympathy, no discount. I really feel for the nice people that do work there but it is an awful company as all of these reviews demonstrate. just DON'T.

Placed an order with yourselves on 21/4/2020 with an expected delivery 14-18 days. On the 15/05/2020 I received an email from Tuffnells saying they had my order. On the 18/05/2020 I called Tuffnells - no help Received at email from Evans stating my order was dispatched the day before so would be out for delivery - THIS WAS A LIE On the 19/05/2020 I called Tuffnells again and was informed Evans were running a 2 day delay in their dispatches. 21/05/2020 - called Tuffnells ringing for over an hour - NO ANSWER 23/05/2020 - Have emailed, fb messaged, tweeted, called Evans and Tuffnells to NO AVAIL I would definitely think twice before or from these again. You have made an otherwise bad situation worse. The reason for the order in the first place was someone had stolen my bike.

Don’t buy from them. They accept your payment. They don’t deliver as they promise. They deliver with months delays without keeping you informed and you get missing and broken items. It’s unbelievable how perfect they look and how bad quality they provide in everything.

Probably the worst online retail experience I have ever had... - Said it would be 10 - 14 day delivery online - Taken my payment online £1000 - Heard nothing for 28 days - Web chat offline all day everyday - No response to email 14 days ago - No response to Facebook message 7 days ago I'm now stuck in limbo and cannot do anything - regardless of COV-19 this company should not be allowed to profiteer by misleading customers. Had I known the above was going to happen I would never have ordered - they know there is an issue yet are still taking peoples money. Disgraceful...
