This place is a joke, it would appear the click and collect service needs a total overhaul as when you order an item at a selected store showing the product in stock, in most instances the item will infact be out of stock pending delivery from the warehouse. This will be followed by a wait of at least 2 to 3 weeks for a delivery to your sellected store. Returns for online reserved items are the same, even though you have clicked and collected an item at a store, if you want a refund, the item will be sent back to the warehouse with another 2 to 3 week wait for a refund back to your account. The whole customer service system stinks, it would appear the stores cheap prices = cheap customer services....

Shocking. Ordered a fishing chair, ticked a box for 1 hour collection. Arrived at the store, they are out of stock. I had 3 more messages over 3 days to tell me the chair was ready for collection. Upon arrival, 'again' still out of stock! Customer care team are passing me around each other, every email from a different person. I can see there will be NO resolution to this, I believe the policy is to pass me around and make me give up.! Worst online experience ever. Shameful.

I really don't know where to start, your service is that appalling, you make false promises of a tent being in stock we order it and still nothing , rude staff with an attitude, lost our deposit on a camping site due to the non arrival wasted a week's leave, plus a very upset little boy who was looking forward to his first holiday, ohh and still no tent , we spent a lot of money and got everything to go camping , but no tent, and no one at your company seems bothered , customers just get fobbed off

Wow where do I start , my partner ordered a tent on July 4th 2020 , we waited till july 17th for delivery only to realise there was no tent only a small parcel for a tent mat , now the fun begins trying to get a resolve , got ignored told lies left waiting only for go outdoors so leave email on 17 aug stating tent was delivered on 17 July try looking in porch or ask neighbour ??? Even tho I have a video ring bell showing delivery of only 1 tiny parcel which was not a tent , but do they care or accept blame ..no , instead they insult my intelligent by saying look in my porch 6 wks later...scammers , was only in feb just before lock down go outdoors was on verge off bankruptcy , then with the upsurge of brits staycationing tents sales are up, now there trying to fill there accounts with our money and not resolve issue's they create ...avoid all online purchases which involve delivery , in fact avoid them all together ...

Place an order online which is accepted and money taken which would mean that sufficient stock is available. However that's it. No communication from them apart from initial text, no email, phone CS who are useless and make promises they fail to keep. Twitter response is immediate to be fair but waiting with baited breath to see if actioned as promised. Stay well clear of ordering online. Not worth the hassle. Say all when emails to CEO come back because he isint interested unlike many other companies are. Can see why they are in administration

I ordered a load of stuff for a camping trip. Firstly the order didnt arrive in time for the tip - thats OK, I can understand current logistical issues. Now it gets confusing.. I noticed a partial refund into my account, then sometime later an email to tell me the full order could not be met. However, when the order did arrive some of those items were present and yet some others were not - and I even got an item that i didnt order at all. The delivery invoice does not match the contents of the box either. Clearly, there is a serious problem in the order picking and logistics team. Its chaotic. The customer services team member I spoke to was delightful, and very helpful though. I have no trust at all in Go Outdoors and have requested a full refund. Ill honestly be surprised if they manage to get that right.

Worst online customer experience ever. Nine items ordered only recieved 2 so was told til fill dispute form in as everything had Been scanned and despatched and would be delivered in one go how wrong could you be.,later in week another package arrived which content had spilled from bottom of box with one assecorie missing The a other package appeared with two more items. So contacted again saying five items still haven't been delivered. So what do you? Tell me to fill the same form in so you can investigate again beyond a joke 0 stars if I could. Was going to buy other items but will shop elsewhere

They advertise shoes that they do not have in stock - I was contacted only 3 days after I placed my order and paid that they no longer had the salomon shoes in stock that I ordered. although after receiving this email I went on their website and they are still advertising this specific shoe that apparently is no longer in stock. Really poor - I won't be ordering from go outdoors again. Wondering when my refund will come as I paid with klarna

They are advertising products not in stock. They refund a partial amount but fail to refund postage paid. This has happened twice now. It then takes ages to get the refund. Obviously go outdoors are wanting people to forget about postage

Couldn’t fault you for the service we received. A lot of negative comments so guess we were the lucky ones but several large items purchased online over £400 worth and they came within the 7-10 delivery time that is clearly advertised with full tracking and great phone service when I called because I was worried about all the negative comments and when one item, the trippier fold out table was damaged I was able to return it to the local store and get a replacement that day and we had a great camping trip. Thank you Go outdoors.

Id give 0 stars if I could. Dont buy online from these con men. They take your money, you wait the 7 to 10 days all the while getting 'encouraging' texts saying your order is being processed "dont worry". After 10 days you ring up. They "guarantee" your order will be with you shortly. 5 days later you ring again to be told, wait for it... "your order left their warehouse but was "lost" between there and the delivery company. 5 days and they didnt tell me. They had no idea it was lost till I rang... yea, sure... They are liars and frauds just looking to keep your money for that bit longer to balance their books. Oh, I forgot, another 7 days for them to return your money. Buy in shop, if you must but NEVER buy online from these con-men.

Below is a formal complaint sent to Go Outdoors. I am still waiting on a response. On the 20th July I ordered two items from Go Outdoors specifically for a camping trip commencing on Saturday 1st August. The delivery details showed 7-10 working days, this meant I would have my items in time. On the day of my order I received the following text message: “Hi P, thank you for your Go Outdoors order xxxxx. We’ve received it and we will be in touch again as it progresses through our warehouse”. Later that day I received another message: “Great news P, your order xxxxx is working it’s way through our warehouse”. Then over a period of three days the following messages: “We are working hard to get your order to you. No need to contact us as rest assured, we are on it. Thanks for your patience”. The messages hadn’t filled me with any confidence and with no tracking details I decided to call the customer care team on Tuesday 28th July: 9:04 am: I spoke with an operative and explained the situation and asked for confirmation that I would receive the items on time for my trip, she informed me that she would contact the warehouse and get back to me by 3:00pm with an update, by 4:00pm I had not received a reply so called customer care again. I explained about my previous call but there was no record of this on the system, after being cut off a couple of times I managed to once again explain my situation and asked if I would receive the items in time. The lady said she would place the items on next day delivery and that she finished her shift at 5:00pm so would contact me before to confirm this. The lady failed to contact me. Having yet another operative fail to follow through with their action I then made a further call. At 6:15 pm I spoke with another operative. I went through the full story again, The operative was sceptical that a “next day delivery” could be ordered, she tried to call a manager whilst I was on hold to no avail, so said she would message a manager and get back to me. True to her word the operative did contact me and explain that no next day delivery was available. Various emails were then passed between myself and the operative as I tried to work out why next day delivery couldn’t be authorised and more importantly, will I receive my items before the trip they were designated for! The outcome of all this: No one can tell me if the items I bought in good faith with the knowledge that I ordered them in good time will be delivered for me to use for a specific purpose, regardless of the misleading text messages that followed. The exact delivery details can’t be issued until the items are dispatched. It feels as though the customer care team have very little to offer in way of support or assistance, only one of the team followed through with trying to find a solution but could only offer sincere apologies.

Order never received. Order placed on 15.05.20. 5 items ordered, only one item received to date. In excess of 15 emails and numerous forms completed but still unresolved. No goods received and no refund. Customer service is appalling. You cannot discuss over the telephone with anyone. Now contacted office of Fair Trading and have been advised to hand it over to a legal team. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE DIABOLICAL!

Go to Go-Outdoor's @ Granton in Edinburgh, and you would expect to see lot's of outdoor people. Outdoor people wearing outdoor clothing. What you do NOT expect to see is people on drug's. What you do not expect to see is theft, with staff turning a blind eye. What you do not expect is to be served by a member of staff who like's to attack his disabled neighbour. What you do not expect is for this same member of staff to offer you a discount upon a discount if you buy drug's from him or his next door neighbour. What you do not expect is this member of staff who's job is in logistics, providing drugs to other members of staff, in particular, supposed bike mechanics. What you would expect is for Go-Outdoors to randomly test their staff for the use of drug's. Starting with the logistics manager. What you do not expect, is a member of staff wearing knee length shorts, sportinmg the union jack, lots of small union jack's on these knee length short's, allowing a thief to walk out the store, and allowing said thief to walk free. What you do not GET at go outdoors is a 34% staff discount when you are NOT staff, unless of course there is more to this deal than meet's the approval of Go-Outdoors. One would assume that a manager would check all cctv for say, a 6ft + tall skinny logistics manager, one wearing union jack patterned knee length short's and the same grey hooded top. One would ask, why is there so many theft's from a store that supplies outdoor wear for outdoor people, which you would expect do not need to steal. Why are these theft's never recorded, perhaps they are deleted from the cctv system by say, a logistics manager, whom one would assume has access to the cctv system. What is the discount should you purchase the membership card for £5? It's 34% should you buy drugs. But you MUST buy the £5 mebership, giving drug dealers access to your information. If the only thing stopping this reviewer from purchasing a discount membership card for £5 is a drug dealing suicidal maniac (scars on his wrist) who send his kids to attack a disabled person, what would Go-Outdoors members say?? Would they review the evidence that most loss of stock occur's when this member of staff is around? Would they wish to see evidence that was ignored by the police? Would they admit the police ignored it because this member of staff is a bro? Bro's do protect Bro's dont they, proven by the royal arch degree which can be read on google. If cctv evidence held by this disabled person matched the cctv held by Go-Outdoors, what would go outdoors do? Claim they dont have recording's that go back far enough to catch the theifs? Or continue to let this dealer remain in employment? Video's of this abuse of a disabled person carried out by Go-Outdoors staff available on request. But hurry, this deal wont last long before it becomes a freebie on facebook.

Don’t put yourself through it! The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Only scores 1 star because 0 is not an option on here and they are so bad I’m moved to write a review for the first time! Go Outdoors has my money, it has not delivered my missing item, it’s impossible to speak to anyone, I have sent countless emails but I get a different person each time with infuriating standard comments. They keep asking for information they already hold and yet despite that I resend it in the hope it will eventually get me to someone who will return my money. This company ruined my camping weekend by not delivering all my order (supposedly in stock items), it clearly could not care less about the customer, the farce of a ‘customer service’ experience is driving me nuts... and they still have my money and it has been weeks now. It’s constant stalling and delay. I believe Go Outdoors hopes I will get fed up/bored/forget about it and so then it’ll just hang onto my money. I’m not surprised this company was recently on the brink of collapse. I will never order from them again.

Go outdoors are a bunch of CROOKS, they are continuing to take orders knowing full well that they can't fulfil the orders they already have. Complete management incompetence means that no orders are going out on time and they tell you the order can't be cancelled even though its not picked, well if it's cancelled within 14 days of being placed, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 clearly mandates that it can be cancelled, so this company is acting illegally, contact citizens advice and they will confirm this, you also have the option to cancel within 30 days of receipt if you are unhappy with items. And please remember the way they behave and do not buy from them or their stores in future. GO ELSEWHERE and give your business to a more reputable company that will treat you fairly, this will send them a message that they will remember at every annual shareholders meeting.
