“Ordered on 12/7 for arrival by Christmas. About a week and a half later my order doesn’t show as shipped so I use their email us button and ask for an update on my order that I might cancel if it can’t be received before Christmas. Two days later I get a response that the address I emailed is not monitored so my email wasn’t received along with another email us link. I email them and ask for an update on my order status and explain I might cancel the order if it can’t be received by Christmas. They respond that they usually ship within 2-3 days but are busy because of the holiday season. I ordered almost all my gifts on-line from alot of different companies and they all arrived within days. I emailed them again and explained their response was inadequate as I needed to know if my order would arrive before Christmas and they couldn’t tell me that. Ordering on 12/7 and expecting the order to arrive before Christmas was more than reasonable. I told them I would never be ordering from their company again. And the order changed couriers in transit. Terrible customer service.”
“Horrible customer service! Ordered on 12/8/24 expecting to have them by Christmas. Didn’t happen! If your shopping is backed up, an email alerting your customers would be nice. Received order and one candle is broken. Sent email and 5 days later someone responds. I originally disputed the charge because the order didn’t ship for weeks. Now they r telling me they can’t refund me for the broken candle because there was a dispute filed. Glad I only lost 7.99 because I will never order from them again. Ordered several years ago and had the same problem…broken when received.”
“Absolutely horrific shipping and customer service. Read about how awesome their candles were and participated in a sale before the holidays. Placed my order Dec 15th and now we are well in to the New Year and just now getting a notification that they shipped! It’s January 3rd twenty TWENTY FIVE! No apology for the late order or any acknowledgment. Glad I was proactive to get a few family members gifts just to have them show up well after Christmas. Can’t wait to order again! NOT!”
“I ordered a lot of candles on 12/8 for Christmas gifts and to use during the Holidays. It is now Jan 2nd and no candles. When I receive them I will save for next year. Won’t have to buy them and Goose Creek loses sales for next year. I like their candles but don’t accept orders if you can’t fulfill them. Going back to Bath and Body. I tried emailing and the email wouldn’t go through. I’m sure they are getting hundreds and hundreds of complaint emails. I’m done.”

I also told them that I would probably try them in the future since it seems they were not able to handle the logistics of the orders they received. They responded and refunded me my money. “I made a large order for Christmas on 12/13 promising a 2-3 day order ship out. After noticing the order had not shipped out by day 4 I tried to get in touch with the company. The phone number listed is just a voicemail telling you to reach out via email. After reaching out via email to get information on the order, I was continuously given a scripted” We are working hard to get your order out”. I have not received any information about my order after leaving multiple messages (9) total by 12/24. It is now 12/30 and I still have no information regarding my order. The company will not get in touch with you nor give you any information about your order. It has been 20 days and I had to go out and purchase alternate Christmas gifts, which in return has cost me money. There is zero communication or customer service with this company. I am extremely disappointed and will not be shopping with them again.”
“this company is an absolute nightmare to deal with do not order from them. Their candles are horrendous. They are nothing like Bath and body Works. They have no smell and the glass is very thin and flimsy half of my order was broken! Also they have plastic wrapping for the name tag on the candle, which is going to melt when you turn the candle on very dangerous! Also, I put in my order on December 6. I did not receive my order until December 28! Well after the holidays and I ordered Christmas scents so what’s the point of ordering that when Christmas is over!? Also, these were Christmas gifts I had to go out and buy everybody different Christmas gifts because these were not Here. again! I am warning you do not order from this company. They refused to cancel my order even when I contacted them on December 15, they still had not even processed the order yet and they refused saying it was already processed lying and then I didn’t receive a tracking number until several days later I told them I would be on vacation December 19 until December 29 and that I did not want the boxes sitting out in front of my house where somebody could steal them. They didn’t care I’ve had to open up a case with PayPal because I can’t get customer service to help me stay away from this company”

“4 weeks to receive an order is unacceptable. Do NOT advertise Christmas candles in December again. Get a brain Goose Creek! It happens every year. Sell your Christmas candles in October & November. Then stop.
Don't give customers a sad sack of excuses such as, our candles went viral. They did last year too or at least that's what you said. If that's the case, you could have planned ahead, but you didn't.
You also mention hardworking people in rural areas. What a lame excuse for such incredibly poor customer service.
I wish I could find more places to complain to raise awareness of their horrible business practices. It will continue because people aren't aware of it.”
“I placed an order on 12/14 and today is 12/29. I still haven't received my order. I received one email with them saying there is a delay because of the holidays.
If a business can't handle this many orders, they need to hire more people or block their website from taking in more orders. I won't buy from them again.”
“I am very disappointed with goose creek, and my opinion is based on my three orders. The first order was a large order in my opinion, I order about 8-10 candles and after lighting and using them I was beyond impressed. I own a 2100 square foot home, and I could light one candle and place it in the foyer and I could smell it throughout my entire home.
So I decided to do a second order and this time I tried the holiday candles. This order was a big disappointment to me. I ordered about 6-8 candles and I could only smell them if I was standing within 2-3 feet of the candles. I had to light two at a time and still they weren’t as affective as the first order.
I decided though to do a third order hoping the second order was a fluke. So I decided to go back to the original scents I purchased on the first order. So one of my disappointments came from how long It took for this order to arrive. It took about three weeks were as the first two orders took about 7-10 days.
I’ve already used three candles from the third order and they are much like the second order with very little scent ommiting from them. I’ve spent so much money with them that I am very disappointed about my entire experience.
The couple of good things I’m happy about was how amazing the entire first order was. Also the first order had some broken candles and once I let them know they replaced them immediately.
Before goose creek I was purchasing candles from “Seventh Avenue Apothecary” but their candle are two to three times more than goose creek, so when I got the first order from goose creek I was sold. But I’m going back to Seventh Avenue, I’ve never purchase a candle from them that was ommiting strong scents.
This is all my opinion and you’ll have to make your own decision…..”
“I placed an order in 12/08 also and finally received it today. I sent an email to them on 12/20 for an update on my order and they responded back saying shipping was delayed but my order had not even been shipped. I then received a shipping confirmation on 12/23 saying my order had shipped but when I tracked it, it still hadn’t shipped the label was created. Almost a whole month to receive my order is insane. It was my first and last time ever ordering from them I’ll stick to Bath and Body Works, it usually receive my order in not more than three days.”
“Still waiting on a order from Dec. 13. Contacted them and received a generic email that apparently everyone one is getting when asked were their order was. Very sad they do not have better customer service support. If you ran a business you should be able to talk with a real person.I will be very hesitant to order from them again. If you can't handle the over flow of customer at Christmas, then 1. hire more people or 2. Tell people you can't handle an overwhelming amount of ordering and won't be able to process their orders.”
