“I wish I saw all of these reviews before ordering with Horizon music, sounds like he’s doing the same to everyone, I ordered 2 records in Nov which weren’t even in stock, so a month later he offers me a voucher or another record. I asked for a refund and still waiting, do not order. The biggest time waster and hassle I’ve ever been through for a record. Phone is never on, barely gets back to you on email. Needs shutting down”
“Why has someone not investigated and stopped this company trading. He has been stealing people's money by not honouring the initial order put in by people to purchase records which was paid for persons at the time including me. I am still waiting for a number of records I had ordered in 4 separate orders from early last year. Bits had come but no follow up the missing parts of the order or option of a refund. Last contact had was August and nothing since. No response to e-mail and can't contact by phone. Seriously, someone needs to sort them out!”
“How are these people still trading? I bought an order, nothing to say when it was coming. A few months later I get an email and jogged my memory this vinyl has never been delivered or sent. Eventually I get a replay asking if I want credit. Four months later!!! I want a refund, I bet if I hadn’t chased up I wouldn’t have even got a refund. Then had the cheek to say 7 WORKING days for the refund to get to me. I’ve contacted my bank for fraud and am taking this matter further. AVOID.”
“CALCULATED SCAM ARTISTS!
I placed an order of an item that then transpired not to be in stock. Asked for refund through PayPal after a while. Horizon took their time to respond and two attempts and an complaint with PayPal. Horizon then made a calculated refund which then made made PayPal to automatically close the case, however Horizon then shortly afterwards withdrew their initial transfer. After that I really had to be persistent with PayPal to finally get me my money (PayPal clearly have a loophole here).
STAY CLEAR of these SCAMMERS!”
“I recently placed my first order with Horizons Music, assuming I was buying items that were actually in stock. As soon as I signed up I was BOMBARDED with emails EVERY DAY trying to sell me things I didn't want!
After 5 days I contacted them as I had heard nothing regarding my order. Horizons Music eventually replied and informed me that BOTH ITEMS I had ordered were OUT OF STOCK! Had I not contacted them I would still be waiting for an order thay they could not fulfil! They then gave me 3 options, 1, wait until next year as it might be back in stock. 2, choose alternatives. 3, credit to spend at a later date. No mention of a refund for selling me imaginary items! Luckily I had paid through PayPal and opened a case with them. PayPal resolved the problem and a refund was issued
This was my first encounter with Horizons Music and definitely my last! I buy a lot of vinyl and don't have any problems with anyone else! Prospective buyers, think twice before ordering from Horizons Music!”

Usual scenario like other posts, i payed for the vinyl then recieved an email explaining that it was not in stock but I could have a different vinyl for a higher fee. Stupidly I payed. I am now waiting a month after ordering, I have tried to request a refund with no luck. I will take this further. Complete scam. Shouldn't be allowed in 21st century Britain”

“Same experience as everyone else here. Neil Monteiro has stopped responding now, but after he took my £28 and didn't ship the record, he initially responded to me saying 'I'm extremely doubtful we'll get the record in stock' (and nothing else...).
A few people have mentioned Trustpilot here - my friend works there and showed me the Salesforce page for Horizons Music - they are actually BLOCKED now due to a large number of dubious reviews... Says it all really... Neil is nothing but a criminal and a conman - it has to be a matter of time before he gets caught for all this”
“Scam company- avoid. Failed to deliver my item for over three weeks now. Most reviews say the same- they take your money and then don’t deliver the goods. On the companies house website it shows their accounts as overdue (as at mid-December 2021), so I suspect that this is just a way to steal from people.”

“Received my order 2 months late, this was late august by the time I actually got it. I had to phone every week for 4 weeks to get the order, kept being told ‘we are moving warehouses’ everything will be so much better once we have moved. Lady on the phone was polite and vague but can’t fault her, probably not her fault.”

“I feel very loathed to give it 1 star. this is a cowboy company, it seems to me like they have managed to pull in feeds from other music websites and try and present that they have music in stock when they don't anything. who in the 21st century still uses btinternet.com for a professional web mail account (most people would use the domain address). I've been waiting 3 weeks for my vinyl and neil stopped responding to me 2 weeks ago. I've contacted my bank to get the money back, this individual's website needs to be taken offline and reported to the trading standards. complete rip off and makes a mockery of all those passionate music lovers who work so hard to provide us with great music.”

It took me longer than a month and many stupid emails about nothing from them to finally receive a refund and only because I started a claim via PayPal attaching all emails, screenshots etc.
