Bought a Christmas tree and paid for next day delivery. 5 days later still no tree. Delivery company say it’s too big to deliver. House of Fraser refuse to refund cost of tree until I send it back. How can I send it back when it hasn’t been delivered? If I could give zero stars I would. Disgusting customer service. Do yourself a big favour and don’t shop in this store.

Ordered an item for Christmas. It took them 5 days to tell me it was out of stock. 2 days later, I received not 1 but 2 emails from them apologising that it was an error & the item was in stock. They even gave me a code for free delivery. I duly ordered it again. Firstly, the transaction didn’t accept the ‘free delivery’ code. Then I received their standard email stating the this transaction didn’t amount to a contract until they confirmed that the item was in stock. Now, not only do they have my personal details, they also have my financial details. I’m still trying to find out if I’m going to get the item. Frustrating at the very least.

I ordered a pair of boots online. They were too small. Returning them was ridiculous. The Norwich store would not take the from me. There was no returns label in the box. It cost me £12 to return the boots. Their policies are outdated and I will not shop with them again.

I had an order and tried to speak to the live chat and the "Bot" continued to say "Oops! Couldn't get that, am a new bot in town and learning with time. You can try rephrasing your question." .. I continued to rephrase the question but it was pointless.. I typed talk to an agent but it did not put me through to one!!

They refunded me 100£ less than should be. Mails, phone calls and visit to the shops without any solution given.

Very bad service by such a big a company. Ordered few items online paid almost £5 for the delivery, received the items but they were not suitable so had to return them. Took them to store at Westfield shopping centre to avoid the delivery charge but paid almost £8 for the parking, when took the items to store they said they can only offer a credit note, returned two items there for a credit note and brought two items back to send by post and get my money back, paid £12 at the post office as the jacket and one pair of shoes was over 3kg, received an email from house of Fraser 5 days later that the items will be amended in my order. 15 days on and no refunds has been sent. Now have to chase them by sending emails etc to receive my money back. Just one order took a lot of my time and energy and pulse the expense. Will never buy from this company again and do NOT recommend it to anyone.

This store is a shadow of its former self. Very confusing, disorganised layout. Not the enjoyable shopping experience it once was.

Absolutely dreadful service - dishonest, unprofessional, disappointing and will never shop there again. The change in your refund policy and lack of any customer service means your days are numbered on the high street.

You have been warned! You cannot return items after purchasing them! They will tell you that you have 28 days to return/exchange an item but when you go back they will swing every story/covid etc to prevent it from happening! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!

Absolutely shocking customer service. Placed a £180 order that contained a gift boxed skin care set, a game, and a china planter. All arrived with damaged and dented packaging but was told that packaging is not included in their warranty so I would have to pay to return it. Absolutely unacceptable - you do not buy an £84 beauty gift set and expect to give it someone as a present damaged. Will never order online from them again. Packaging is poor and items arrive in poor condition

I ordered a MK jumper as a Christmas present for my brother but Hermes delivered the package to the wrong address, the picture shown as proof of delivery is blurry and looks like the reception desk of an office building. I contacted House of Fraser and Hermes - Hermes responded after 24 hours to apologise for the misdelivery and said to contact House of Fraser, but House of Fraser just keeps talking me on a not so merry go round. Definitely the worst service I have ever received. I've been asked to complete a denial of receipt form twice now after already completing and sending them one. Everytime I contact customer service at HoF to find out if a replacement item would be sent or at least a refund issued, I get told the package has been delivered. I've sent screenshots of the email received from Hermes to HoF letting them know the package is missing because it was misdelivered but last night I was told by HoF that they need to hear directly from Hermes - it's been over a week. I heard back from Hermes after just 24 hours, what's taking so long on your side HoF? Considering I was also expecting a package from Dunelm and Selfridges on the same day, all of which were misdelivered to the same wrong address by Hermes and immediately replaced by the retailers, why does the customer have to suffer with you HoF? House of Fraser has severely gone downhill, definitely not the store it used to be. Horrible customer service that just doesn't seem to give a toss about its customers. Haven't you ever heard the phrase the customer is always right? But then again I'm not surprised at all, since I wrote an email to the owner of HoF pleading with him to put out a statement or at least contact the person affected after the ugly incident at House of Fraser Bluewater with Cephas Williams but my email was simply ignored, no response, no statement and no contact with the person affected. Shame on you House of Fraser. Disgusting way to treat your customers - I want my money refunded House of Fraser!!! As soon as this issue is hopefully resolved, I will be bidding goodbye to HoF. You won't be getting my money anymore

I recently ordered 5 pairs of shoes from House of Fraser online and have encountered a number of issues that in my view would never happen before the takeover. Firstly, at the point of purchase I wasn’t notified that we couldn’t get full refunds when you return to store, I only found out after travelling to the store to return 3 of the shoes (of which 1 one was faulty - different sizes sent) that I couldn’t get a full refund in store. This needs to be very clear at the point of order instead of it being hidden down in the small print. Secondly, following the lack of help from the store I posted the 3 pairs of shoes back to the warehouse as advised (registered delivery at my own expense) - the website says I’ll get my postage costs refunded if I’ve received a faulty item. I then contacted customer services (email only) to notify them of the faulty item and request a refund - I was told I wouldn’t get a refund until the shoes were scanned in as faulty. Thirdly, of the 3 shoes returned - I’ve now received a refund for 2 out of the 3 shoes including the faulty pair but not the delivery charge even though it has been scanned in as faulty. To further worsen this experience, I am yet to receive a refund for a 3rd pair of shoes and after chasing twice (again all by email), I’ve now been told that the shoes were returned back to me as it was ‘deemed’ used by the returns team. This is ridiculous as the shoes were sent back exactly as received - I bought 5 pairs of shoes, kept 2 and returned 3 including a faulty pair. Why would I return the shoes if they were used, given I’d kept 2!!! Makes no sense. Just to be clear, I have since not received the shoes, the delivery charge or the required refund. This whole experience has been so bad such that I will never again shop at House of Fraser online and would actively discourage anyone from doing so. It would be much better if one can actually speak to a person who can help instead of having to send multiple chaser emails with no human contact. Can you please get someone to review and get back to me as a matter of urgency, my order ref is - HOF40000068239431 and I’d expect a refund on the outstanding amount please. Many Thanks!

Bought over £500 worth of clothes. Needed to return some items so took them to a store. Apparently you now can no longer return to store if you want a refund so had to pay over £16 to post back to HoF in addition to the £4.99 initial postage. I will not buy from HoF again.

I ordered a vase & two diffusers with a delivery charge of £9.99. I then received an email saying HOF were processing a cancellation request (not by me) as one of the goods was faulty and I had changed my mind about the other item. I therefore, never received any goods, yet they still charged me £9.99 for delivery, outrageous. Will never shop with them again.

Brought 2 packs of boxer trunks with 3 per pack but 1 pack only had 2 pairs in it. Can't get to speak to a human only a robot. Could not get any satisfaction after an hour so sent the hole order back for a full refund. Will never shop at this place again.

I bought a jacket as a gift, I paid for urgent delivery. Two months have passed since my purchase. I received 21 letters from Matthew from the senior advisor! 2 months of correspondence! Are you seriously ? Return my money ! I paid for express delivery, this item is no longer relevant to me.

The item, a mens' deodorant stick, arrived damaged and un-usuable. Not surprising rally as it had been simply chucked in a carrier bag and posted. I sent them a photo of it and asked what they would do. They offered to knock 25% off the price!! I said no and then they made me post it back even though it was clearly broken, with a chunk missing, and I had to wait until they got it back before they refunded. The whole thing took over a week. No apology, nothing to compensate me for my wasted time and travel to return it Awful I'm going to go to Amazon in future where you get good customer service.
