I bought a mattress from Ikea about 7 years ago. It has a guarantee for 20 years. After 7 years mattress looks horrible. Mattress is Sultan hjartdal. See attached pictures. Please beware of this.

I truly understand the current situation that we are in with this Covid-19. But I placed an order almost 3 weeks ago and I received confirmation that my order would be delivered 2 days ago between a certain time. I never received it. I called customer service to check the status to only be transferred 4 times and put on hold for 32 mins. When I finally got through to someone she told me that there won’t be any deliveries in the state of California until further notice. Ok so why couldn’t that be specified on the IKEA Website? Beats me. But they were surely quick to process the transaction. Now after waiting I ultimately cancelled my order and will be waiting on a refund in 10-14 days. Thanks IKEA. I’ll just stick to Target.

Customer service at this company is a joke. During the Covid 19 outbreak we made the mistake of ordering 2 mirror cabinets for delivery to complete our bathroom reno. 2 weeks later nothing. Calling customer service is an exercise in futility. You get someone with marginal ESL skills who parrots the company line about extended deliveries during the outbreak. Contrast this to the effective service of retailers like Home Depot that can deliver multiple orders in a couple days.

I have always had terrible customer service experience with IKEA but I am not sure why I even purchase anything there. I wanted to order a small shoe cabinet for $129 and the shipping is the same cost. I can not pick it up at the store because the stores are closed because of COVID-19. The customer service rep I talked to was very unpleasant and not helpful at all. I’ve had so many issues in the past with them too so I guess that will be the last time I try and order from them. They are the most frustrating store I’ve ever dealt with.

During caronavirus it’s expected for click and collect to be suspended for now. As for home delivery, what use to cost 7$ now costs 69$ and only within Ottawa. Not to outside areas. IKEA doesn’t deliver a delivery company does. They are still running. So why not ship? Why not charge at least the same price if not make it free what use to be $7 and maybe less than $69+ For heavier items. Looking at replacing lamps in living room as I need two matching floor lamps and refusing to support ikea again in the future (I have Tabletop lamps from here And need to get matching ones) off to amazon or somewhere else I go! ✌️

Ok, first I have placed an order...they charged my cc...I tried to track my order, and it claims there are no orders on my account! No one is available to talk to, and I also bought a desk with a filing cabinet, it does NOT hold letter sized folders as the drawer is too frickin small! IKEA sucks to say the least.

You know those bad reviews that you wonder if they can't be all true... ha haha hahahaha *cries* I have never had a bad enough experience that I've had to share with my entire circle of family and friends just how bad a company can be and to avoid them. I order a sofa the FRIHETEN. I was VERY much looking forward to it. I selected the wrong color and called customer service immediately after I placed the order. I was told they can't cancel it but that I could return it for the other after it was delivered. Weird and annoying, but far from a deal breaker. First , I'm told it's out for delivery. Then they I get a call (at the end of the delivery window) that their truck broke down. I call Select Express directly and they schedule for next Thursday. Seven days later, (a week lost) because they say they only deliver to my area on that day. Thursday comes. I call that day, I get confirmation on delivery. They transfer me to their IKEA specialist, who hangs up on me. I call back, the specialist laughs at me and blames IKEA for "choosing the wrong date" when I called them directly. I call IKEA and they say they will refund for shipping for this horrible experience. That works for me, I am happy. They schedule for Monday. The tracking number showed they loaded it at 10:30 AM on the truck for delivery. I follow the truck on the map on the Select Express tracking. It starts to get late. The map no longer loads. I call Select Express and they say they lost my couch in their warehouse and that they will call me when they find it. Even though it shows as being loaded on the truck. I call IKEA who calls Select Express, who tells IKEA "we never got the couch from you". A slightly different story. I call IKEA. The first option is a full refund and a cancellation of the couch I really want. I go for it. Obviously its not possible to get this couch. I message IKEA on Twitter, I'm told that my refund is in the "final stages" of being processed. I get refunded for the shipping. I message again. Nothing for several days until finally I'm told a glitch has caused them to only refund my shipping. I can expect the rest in the next few days. How could I possibly ever recommend IKEA to anyone when I can't even get one sofa with my first experience with IKEA. I am so disappointed that I cannot get that amazing couch. I can't shop with IKEA ever again and will recommend others to do the same. I asked IKEA if they would offer anything to maybe convince me to buy the couch (small discount at least) and prove that they aren't all bad. They offered me free shipping HAHAHA. Goodbye IKEA. Hello Wayfair....

I've never experienced customer service as despicable as this. How on earth this company stays open when they treat their customers so poorly is beyond me. I will never shop at Ikea again, and certainly not for something as costly as a kitchen! Unbelievable! Complete lack of care and no desire to resolve issues.

Awful ecommerce experience. Like 1993. Selected item, put in cart. Going through check out and it kicks and error on a numerical field. I try a bunch of different ways to enter my phone and it finally takes the data. Get to payment page - can't buy it because it's out of stock. Thinking buggy page, I call customer support. Nope - it really is out of stock. Just for fun I go back to site, I can still put item in my cart, get all the way to payment before it tells me it's not in stock. This is an absurdly easy fix that even crappy companies got right when GW Bush was still president.

Multiple bad interactions with ikea. I ordered shelving. It arrived banged up beyond usable. They agreed to send another set - "just throw it away" they said. The next one was similarly banged up. I gave up on that.

I got a bookcase. The build quality is soo low that I can't use it even like a dog-shelter. Value for money ratio was very high.

Tried to order a sofa for the "family price" yesterday, but the online system was not working. Told me to try again later. I kept trying throughout the day, with no luck. Then, today, I am able to order the sofa, but the "family price" is gone. I called Customer Service to inquire about purchasing the sofa with the "family price" since I was unable to yesterday. Victoria from Customer Service was not helpful at all. Even though the error was on their end and I could not order the sofa yesterday, I still cannot get the sofa for the "family price." With this COVID-19, they need to figure out their online system ASAP.

I had a bad experience with Ikea service and customer care for installing a kitchen unite, their sales representative is not explaining exactly the service they provide, they make u you sign on the order without knowing, after waiting for the delivery 2 weeks, they came first time and told me I have to remove the old until first, so I did after struggleing to get somebody to remove, after one more week, when they arrived they told me that they don't fix the plumbs they only install the unit, so I had to search again for a pipe fitter to do this simple job they couldn't provide the customer though we are paying for installation, and now the installation went totally wrong and still leaking after the pipe fitter fixed it, I paid triple price for the installation, besides the inside cabinets are poor quality as not as expected, shame on them

Steer clear! Ordered a kitchen, waited several weeks, truck shows up which slides past my driveway, Then the drivers backed into the ditch. My neighbour pulled them out, they offered to leave my kitchen and appliance s on the street and wanted me to sign their delivery slip. I said no, they drove away. Two weeks went by, nobody came back. Frustrated I just returned it! Total unprofessional service from there phone system, lack of follow up, staff are powerless to make decisions, drivers aren’t qualified to deliver! Not worth the experience!! Disappointing Greg

Kitchen is ok, but service after sale is a big 0. Had errors with parts and when I called IKEA for the second time I literally waited 1h on the phone before anyone answers on both occasions.

YOU ARE BETTER OFF BUYING FROM ANYWHERE ELSE BUT IKEA!!!!! I purchased 2 "Lack coffee table for a project I planned. Both arrived damaged in a few places. First phone call, Ikea rep wanted to see the pics, told me to email them to him. I waited a few days, nothing. So I call in, 15 minutes on phone, then transferred and disconnected. Third call in 32 minutes on phone only to be told to repack items and ship back. I was like, WHAT?!?!?! How do you want me to pack this in a box with no styrofoam or anything? all the pieces came shrink wrapped to a piece of cardboard which resembled a lid to a huge bankers box. No protection at all. Rep said put it all in a box, print the Fedex slip and send it back. Don't they realize that if I do that it will punch a hole through the box? Fedex won't except insecure items. They expect me to spend money to secure it, just so they can receive damaged items. Bottom line is DO NOT BUY FROM IKEA. I actually was able to see the cardboard honeycomb inside this table. Seriously? they use cardboard to fill the gap thickness of a table? I would rather buy from a second hand store, offer up, mercari, etc. I have seen better furniture at Walmart!!!!!! I will reach out to m credit card company and get my money back. If I worked for consumer affairs, I would be closely inspecting each and every item they sell to anyone in the U.S. I know that furniture stores mark up their items between 100-400%, but there are many ways to get quality items at a low cost. so many options out there, just avoid IKEA. Read the reviews yourself, if you on a budget, buy second hand stuff, its well worth it. They won't refund unless I find a box, pack it so fedex will except it, and ship it back. they shipped it poorly, and honestly I can't do the same to them, but I should not have to spend money to ship it back..... I will let my bank handle them......

Horrible service, they want to charge me $49 for a reschedule delivery because they couldn’t find my house and I was home, and then proceeded to tell me they called my phone and I had it on me the whole time and NOBODY CALLED. Ridiculous, never ordering from here again. Can’t even get my refund because THEY DONT DO REFUNDS.

Ikea have now failed to deliver twice to my home. They didn't call on either occasion to inform me of this, it fell to me to contact customer support. They charge GBP39 for delivery, which they refuse to reimburse. However, they will offer a GBP20 voucher for each failed delivery, which is frankly laughable as I have no intention of ever shopping with them again.
