NOT RECOMMENDED TO ORDER ONLINE DURING COVID19. Online ordered 4/12/20. Card was charged immediately. No email confirmation. Over a week to get through to anyone at support. After apologizing to me for not receiving an email and order details, I provided my email address and was told, "I'll resend you a confirmation email and will get another email from the delivery service prior to delivery which should be 4/30"...still waiting for that first email...First experience with IKEA's online ordering...probably will never order with IKEA online again.

Disappointed with Ikea. In fact furious. Ordered items online to be delivered 27th March. The delivery was meant to take place between 9.00-13.00, no one showed up. By 13.30 received an email stating they were sorry but there has been a problem and i should wait to be contacted by Ikea. After nearly 2 weeks I had not heard from them and decided to call them to be told that they tried to deliver but could not find the address, this in Portimão (Praia da Rocha). Couldn't understand why it was so difficult to find with so much techoligy available niwadays. They have then told me that it had to be rearranged and it would cost me another delivery fee (€35.00). I was very angry but have agreed to pay it as the good are to refurbish a bathroom and had a builder set up to do it. Surprise, surprise!!!! On the next delivery there wasn't any problem about finding the address. I contacted customer care/ apoio ao client about this but after a week have not heard from them. Totally disgusting and unaceptable behaviour.

I'm done with IKEA. Tried ordering over 6K in Kitchen cabinets but was sent on a wild goose chase with their "online store". Long story short it's been over 2 months of planning this and none of their items are available once you make it to checkout. Tried contacting them via email (not possible) and by the phone (also not possible). They've made me so mad that I'm actually wasting my time writing a REVIEW! You kidding me!?! What am I doing with my life? Lastly I'm a contractor and have used IKEA before but those days are done! I'll be sure to tell all my friends as well.

I placed an order on line on 26 March 2020 for 2 Grundtal shelves. Delivery was to be 26 April 2020 but payment was taken at the time of ordering rather than at despatch. Today I recived an emailed credit reciept (the money has not yet been replaced to my credit card), it appears that my order has been cancelled. No explanation and no reason given. These items are still available on the Ikea website to order and for delivery. Would definitely not use the Ikea online ordering again, lots of publicity but no action!

I just wanted to write a review here on the service I've received from Ikea. I wrote a product review on the Ikea website but they refused to publish it after it was moderated by their staff. Ikea seem unable to provide a good reason why it was moderated and this tells me a lot about the company and how they operate. The overall experience of the product and their service from Ikea was very poor. I've bought a lot of items from Ikea in the past and have had some disappointing items and some decent ones. This latest experience was far from perfect though. I bought and assembled a product which was obviously very poorly designed. Immediately after building the item some of the plastic clips started failing and the product wouldn't hold together. I took the assembled product back to my local Ikea store. The store staff refused to let me have a refund though as I'd already built it. I told them it was faulty and they still refused. I asked for a manager and eventually got to see somebody. The manager told me that there was nothing wrong with it and they sell thousands with no issue, so it must be to do with how I built it rather than the product (I've since checked for other reviews on this item and I'm not alone and it is definitely a product quality issue). I refused to leave the store until I had my money back. Eventually they agreed to give me a credit note....not ideal and I'm sure that's against consumer rights, but anyway, it's all they were prepared to do. It's frustrating enough to buy and then take the effort to build something, then to have to take it all the way back to the store, only to be treated by the store staff like you're not at all valued as a customer. This was amongst the worst customer service I've ever experienced. You've got a lot to learn about how to treat your customers Ikea and please don't try to prevent genuine reviews from being posted on your website.

You did not make me happy, in fact you ruined my day. You allowed me to place numerous items in my shopping cart because they are "available for delivery". Many items I wanted were not available, but I was still willing to place the order. You calculated the delivery fee for the 7 items I wanted, but then suddenly when I entered my information to check out you decided 6 of the 7 items I wanted were "not available for purchase"! I don't understand how they can be available for delivery to place in my cart, but not available when I go to pay. Your website is abysmal. There is no customer service either, and won't even allow an email. "Only accepting emails for cancelled orders". IKEA is just not what it used to be.

IKEA is the worst customer service company ever. After more than a month I am still expecting my refund, my own money, based on their mistake. The delivery process is unbelievable. They send you an email with the estimate day and when I called to confirm, the same day, they told me that I will receive another email in 7-10 days. Now I’m without sink in my bathroom for more than a week. And for apologize they offered me $20 gift card after I spent $700. The worst, I will never recommend this brand to anyone

Worst On Line store EVER! Order several items almost three weeks ago. They charged my credit card right away! They called two weeks later to say half the items were not in stock and the remaining items would be 4 weeks delivery. I cancelled the order 8 days ago and still have not received a refund on my card. Meanwhile... I have ordered from good Canadian outlets like EQ3 and Structube and have not been charged until items were shipped and they have shipped quickly. Will not bother with Ikea ever again.

I placed an order for a loft bed and mattress almost a month ago. On the first of delivery attempt the drivers gave me one box out of the three items that I ordered. Two boxes that belong to an us another customer and was told that I was supposed to get three boxes here is three boxes if they’re not correct we can’t take them back you have to call customer service. That was three weeks ago I have had another customers order sitting in my house for three weeks my daughter who is five years old has been without a bed for three weeks waiting on this to be delivered. I am now being told that to the mattress that I had ordered and paid for is now out of stock which it wasn’t when I ordered it. The delivery company keeps trying to deliver the frame itself or to pick up the other customers order no attempts to get my order correct have been made. IKEAs customer service has been incredibly awful to say the least. They seem to be more prone to just throw money at the situation instead of trying to fix it. I don’t need money thrown out the situation I need my order I’m at the point where I’m going to just cancel my order in order with somebody else. If you have the option to order with anybody other than IKEA do it worst experience ever will not be shopping with them again

I made an order of a few of the komplement products for an existing wardrobe I have from Ikea. However shortly after the lockdown took place and I requested to cancel the order online which I did. Then I had a text asking to call. I tried calling you have a message saying they are experiencing high volume of calls then hangs up, the next time I tried it just rang and rang and rang. Next I tried messaging on instagram. No answer Then live chat online, told to call a different number, after 45 mins I gave up and saw a call back button, received a call back within minutes. The lady was rather rude and short with me as I explained I cancelled my order and called up as instructed. She told me to wait for the refund as it was going through, a week later no refund. Guess I know what I’ll be doing tomorrow now waiting in line to talk to another person

They took the money and never delivered goods after waiting 2 weeks for delivery . Support and support manager rude and hung up. They said there is nothing the can do and to wait another 2 weeks for delivery.

They are not responding So fast to deduct the money from the car Seems slow and never responding when it comes to ask about the product it self No response on email No response on call Very very terrible experience

Worst customer service ever during these times of working from home- it’s been over a month No single response from email Calls are being cut! After staying for over 50 min on the line There is no online they are not operating You could have informed everyone instead of keeping them hanging

I placed an order online AFTER the stay home order. Credit card was charged for the purchase right away and delivery was supposed to be made 4-1-20 between 9 am and 9 pm. We didn't receive any confirmation or phone call. On the day of supposed delivery, we moved the furniture around and made a space for the furniture. No delivery that day, or the next or the next. I called customer service number only to have them say "we're receiving unusual number of calls and cannot take your call" and a hang up. I finally requested refund but have no idea if they received this request (no confirmation email) or if they will ever consider refunding our money. What kind of business are they running? If they are not going to deliver, how about letting me know so I don't spend all day waiting? This feels worse than getting stood up on a date.

I've been waiting for 3 weeks and counting for Ikea to send me an order from Ikea Bucharest to my home address in Bucharest which is like 10km far. Each time I contact them to ask about my order, Ikea support pretends my home address was wrong and they keep asking me what my home address is and they say they can't do "more than that" to deliver it to me.

I bought a mattress from Ikea about 7 years ago. It has a guarantee for 20 years. After 7 years mattress looks horrible. Mattress is Sultan hjartdal. See attached pictures. Please beware of this.

I truly understand the current situation that we are in with this Covid-19. But I placed an order almost 3 weeks ago and I received confirmation that my order would be delivered 2 days ago between a certain time. I never received it. I called customer service to check the status to only be transferred 4 times and put on hold for 32 mins. When I finally got through to someone she told me that there won’t be any deliveries in the state of California until further notice. Ok so why couldn’t that be specified on the IKEA Website? Beats me. But they were surely quick to process the transaction. Now after waiting I ultimately cancelled my order and will be waiting on a refund in 10-14 days. Thanks IKEA. I’ll just stick to Target.

Customer service at this company is a joke. During the Covid 19 outbreak we made the mistake of ordering 2 mirror cabinets for delivery to complete our bathroom reno. 2 weeks later nothing. Calling customer service is an exercise in futility. You get someone with marginal ESL skills who parrots the company line about extended deliveries during the outbreak. Contrast this to the effective service of retailers like Home Depot that can deliver multiple orders in a couple days.

I have always had terrible customer service experience with IKEA but I am not sure why I even purchase anything there. I wanted to order a small shoe cabinet for $129 and the shipping is the same cost. I can not pick it up at the store because the stores are closed because of COVID-19. The customer service rep I talked to was very unpleasant and not helpful at all. I’ve had so many issues in the past with them too so I guess that will be the last time I try and order from them. They are the most frustrating store I’ve ever dealt with.
