Ordered over a month ago. Was told due to covid, order wouldn’t be received for a month- fine, totally understand. What i don’t understand is why I can’t get get an update on status via the website, can’t send an email, can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone. They have taken my money and provides zero in return. It is not unreasonable to expect communication about an order- even if it is to tell be it is delayed. Otherwise I’m assuming you’ve basically stolen my money. This is completely unacceptable

My experience is the same as everyone’s below: ordered a bookcase, confirmed receipt emailed to me, delivery date promised, item not delivered. Customer service cannot be contacted. Ikea should simply stop taking orders that it doesn’t plan on filling. This company is scamming people!

I ordered items to be delivered on 4/16/2020. The charge posted to my credit card on 4/17/2020. After completing the order they said delivery to be 5/19/2020. Really,why not tell me before completing the transaction the delivery would take over a month. On 5/18/2020 no word from IKEA. Multiple phone calls to IKEA 5/18-5/21/2020, “we are unable to take your call”. Email sent to IKEA to cancel order per their website instruction, no response. On 5/21/2020 disputed the charge on credit card. Maybe that will get their attention. AWFUL service. Why can’t a huge, global corporation get it together to deliver goodsin a timely fashion and provide customer service. Never again!!! BEWARE! HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY DISPUTE THE CHARGES!!!

I was trying to buy an item online since the stores in BC are closed. Upon check out i've chosen pick up but couldn't complete the transaction, it just was not working! tried to call provided number but the line was either busy or dropping. Chat option didn't work due to long queue Gave up after trying half an hour. If You hear IKEA complaining about drop in sales tel them to shove it! The company laid of thousands of workers but can not organize online services. Hopefully our Government won't give them helping hand because they have a lousy CEO and such!

Ordering the product on line was simple, payment was taken immediately and a delivery slot provided. The delivery day came and went. Since then nothing not a whisper. No possible form of contact to see if the product will ever be delivered. Incidentally the delivery cost for a £40 window blind was £29.95. Steer clear of IKEA.

Same issue, ordered $400 worth, delivery was scheduled today between 9am and 12pm. Its 4:30, I'm still sitting here so I go online to check the status and it says preparing order ( which is the process before they pick the items and load) but I had already received an email the said they were " picking the order". Hmmm, the status now is back to the beginning? I called customer service- not taking calls but go online if you have to reschedule. I go online and the only option available is to cancel your order. Meanwhile, I don't know when or if my order is coming and they have taken the money and not communicated ANYTHING TO ME - NO UPDATE OF STATUS - NOTHING!!!

I have never experienced something like this before! I wish I had read all of the reviews here beforehand! Then I would have saved myself a lot of trouble! the worst service I have ever experienced! I am really very understanding at the moment, but what was pulled off with me today is outrageous! My order should be delivered today (350 £) + 30 £ delivery costs, the driver called me this morning at 6:44 a.m. and told me he will arrive in the next hour. Shortly after 7 a.m. I recognized the driver in front of our gate, he did not Ring the bell, I opened the gate so that he could drive to the courtyard, I stood on the balcony to tell him he could just put the delivery in front of the door, my husband had taken holiday extra today, to accept the package, the moment when the courier saw that the gate was opened, he drove away. 40 minutes later I got the message that the delivery could not be delivered. seriously! To calls and SMS he did not respond. I then turned to customer service at 9 a.m. and that outraged everything! The first time I was queueing 1 hour, to thrown out of the Chat, when I explained everything. The second time I was in the queue for 2 hours!!!! And was thrown out of the Chat, after the customer Service after I was informed that if I no longer want the order I would have to wait 14 days for my refund or a new delivery could be booked for next week. I was not enthusiastic about it, then it was written to me that the query was resolved and I would be thrown out of the chat again. with the note that everything has been clarified and the new delivery date is booked for me! I had clearly said that I don't want a new appointment and because it was too uncomfortable I was simply kicked out of the chat ?! I printed both Chats and officially complained. I have never had such insolence, who deals with his customers in this way, lost me as a customer from now. I will never buy anything from ikea again. a shame because I think like almost everyone I bought there a lot, but this bevavio, I do not Support!

I wish there is a 0 star option, I ordered items from IKEAUAE on 4th of April and schedued for delivery due on 16th of April then changed to 21st then 28th then 5th of may them 7th of may then 15th of may and yet still not delivered. I called, I emailed, I facebooked, Instagramed and tweeted IKEA but all in vain and they didn't even bother to call back. Why are they still selling online and didn't close till they deliver all pending orders and solve their issues ? I registered a complain at DED Consumer protection and unfortionately IKEA isn't responding even to them. they take your money, no delivery and i wouldnt dare to ask for a refund after reading the 100's of reviews and social media comments about people still waiting for their refund from more than 2 months.

I am so frustrated reading all these reviews, wish I would have read these before I spent almost $300 on an order I have received no information on. I placed an order on 4/27, and was told my “estimated delivery date” was today, 5/19. I waited all day hoping for items that never came. You call and get no one, and I feel I have no choice but to dispute my charge through my credit card. I loved all the items so much and am truly disappointed with this whole experience.

I ordered curtains online and waited over a month to receive them just to realize I received baskets and now can NOT get anyone on the phone, email and ALL stores and customer service are closed! I paid over $200 for curtains that I need for privacy and have no way to get my correct order!! I have loved shopping here but will sincerely NEVER order online again.

I placed an order on 4/3 and the delivery date said a month later... which is ridiculous but with Covid19 i thought ok they are just extending it out to make sure you do not expect it sooner. 5/4 comes and goes and nothing from Ikea... completely ghosted. Mind you... they had no problem charging my card the day after i ordered my items (who does that? don't they legally have to wait til an item ships? I've never heard of a company doing this). i have since completely paid my credit card bill, and the items haven't even shipped? after days of trying to get ahold of them and i finally get thru i am told that its fedex/ups fault??? how is that even possible when i have had countless orders from other retailers come in two days or less and earlier than the expected delivery date? while on the phone with customer service i am told they have 7-14 days to ship my items past the original delivery, and they had no care in the world that i have already paid in full for these items over 6 weeks ago!! I am now past the 14 days.... and STILL NOTHING!!! IKEA has lost a repeat customer! i have never seen a company act so careless.

DO NOT USE FOR KITCHEN SUPPLY/INSTALLATION. I bought a kitchen from IKEA in 2018 and have had nothing but issues. The kitchen team in store were wonderful but IKEA tried to charge us hundreds more for the worktop than quoted (due to them calculating the size of the worktop wrong) and then threatened not to deliver if we did not pay within 24 hours, they didn't deliver the kitchen on the day scheduled and didn't tell us they weren't delivering, meaning me and my partner missed multiple days of work with no explanation or apology. Their worktops are shoddy and have snapped within a year of use. They have their employees outright lie to avoid the blame for any issues. IKEA refuses to take responsibility for any of this. I have called many times and sent multiple emails, often with no reply - IKEA do not care about their customers and I beg you to stay away if you want a quality kitchen and good service.

I ordered 37.00 worth of things. No furniture NOTHING large at all. I ordered this on April 25, 2020. When I got the notification that my order was successful AND of course IKEA has been paid, it states that my order will be here around May 31, 2020. REALLY? What the ........? I have over 200.00 in my shopping list and am reconsidering buying anything else from IKEA.....first and probably last order. You can't reach IKEA by email or phone. What is up with all of this IKEA??? Awful business practices. And don't go blaming COVID19. I have ordered from Ebay, Amazon, Michael's, Hobby Lobby and it seems like nothing is bothering them from shipping orders. If you could just SAY on your site what the heck is taking so long? But no, no mention. I am now looking for the products I have on my shopping list on Ikea's website elsewhere. At least I know I won't grow old waiting on them.

I placed my order on May 1 . I was told delivery would be on May 11 between 9am -1pm. Received a text at 8:30 saying the my order would be there in half an hour. The truck pulled up at 9am. They unloaded my order quickly and efficiently. The delivery men were friendly and keep social distance. Overall, I am very pleased with my Ikea experience.

CEO needs to be fired!! I made a small order on 04/14/20 for a curtain rod. It's now 05/15/20. Their website says it would be delivered by 05/12. I got an email saying it was shipped on 05/11. Shipping status for Fed-Ex still only says shipping label created? Nothing else on shipping status? I can't get through to anyone, the phones just hang up on you! When I try to email them using their email contact page, the only email option it lets me us is a cancelation email form? SO basically you can't contact them. You can only cancel orders which tells me that's all they want you to do because they can't handle their online system. I would rather them just fully close and not take online orders at all.

In March, I ordered a sofa and a few other items and was given a delivery date of mid-April. Come mid-April, the delivery came, only to receive HALF of a couch. Since the couch is modular, the half of a couch I do have is missing legs on one side and has metal connectors visible. Terrible and dangerous! But that's not all. After countless promises for call-backs and warehouse searches, no one ever followed up. Finally I was able to get a supervisor, who offered to refund the delivery fee and the part of the couch that wasn't delivered. Like that was making it right... I was told I could order it once it came back into stock. So I did (after getting the refund 3 weeks later). I ordered the couch, which said it would be delivered in a week. Four days later, after I called to double-check, they said my order was cancelled (no email/update online). Why? Because Ikea didn't receive my payment. Even though my bank account showed that had been pulled (the full delivery and all). After checking with a manager, they found out my CC was charged and that it was cancelled due to a "technical glitch". Kicker is, the couch is now out of stock! So I'll get a refund in 3 weeks and still half a couch! I will never ever shop at Ikea again. There is no sense of customer service at this company and their order system clearly doesn't work. Ikea never offered to make it right and none of the representatives/managers ever offered to make the situation right or follow up.

I don't mind waiting for the order I placed on April 11 (Now May 14) because I own several pieces of IKEA furniture and I love the quality and look for the price, but what THE actual hell... If you're going to send incomplete orders, how hard is it to inform the customer that they should expect 2 different shipments for one item?? I feel as though I have been more than patient by waiting over a month and the fact that I have to call them to find out that my bookcases' pieces are not even arriving together.. I am literally missing the 2 largest bookcases of a 3-piece set... Come on, IKEA. Tighten up! COVID-19 doesn't excuse poor customer service, and I think people would be a lot more understanding if communication in regards to the service people are PAYING FOR was strengthened. I'm glad I'm not the only one, but it saddens me that so many people are experiencing this...
