Twice I have ordered things from IKEA (who use XPO for home delivery) and twice they've has screwed it up. First time, they managed to bring me double what I ordered, including 6 huge extra boxes for a bed frame, and two more large boxes for a computer desk. The second delivery, they wasted an entire Saturday of mine because the best they could do was tell me they were going to show up sometime between 9 AM and 6 PM. When they finally came (late, around 6:30), they proceeded to hit the wall in my apartment building's hallway hard enough to put a large scratch in the drywall. If that wasn't enough, I also paid for assembly on the second order. The delivery men told me that they couldn't do it, and that someone else would coming within the hour to get this done. Nobody ever came, or even had the courtesy to call and give me a reason why. The IKEA customer service number hung up on me during my call (never giving me a case number), and XPO won't even answer their phone.

Big company for no reason worst place to order any type of furniture customer service is the worst rude ass people I ordered something in july 2018 we in August 2018 still waiting piece of S$&@T FYI IKEA needs to go out of business ASAP

IKEA is the worst shopping concept ever. I have been there twice and hated it both times. Thought I would give it a second chance and disliked it more the second time. They will never get my business.

My order arrived DAMAGED. According to Ikea's website, I'm supposed to 'contact' them about this by phone or email. BUT.........the phones are never answered - the caller hears only an outgoing message that says 'all circuits are busy.' Believe me - I know this for a fact, as I have called 20-30 times over the last few days. The website also indicates that you can email Ikea about damaged merchandise. BUT.....the form you're supposed to fill out requires a 'case number' and a 'manual number.' No manual rec'd with my order and I don't know how I'm supposed to get a case number when no one will respond to me.DISGUSTED. Will never order from Ikea again.

No one can reach them on the phone. The wait is no less than an hour. When I have gotten a supervisor, and they promised to send a gift card, and call, nothing happened. I am still on hold now, as I don't believe that I will be refunded for a product that was never delivered when promised. It was a gift for my daughters birthday, and it was never delivered. Be very careful with this company. They promise things that do not happen. They are very sweet when you speak to them, but they DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH!

I bought a Stuva/Folja wardrobes for my daughters room and am very happy about he purchase-they are beautiful pink and were quite easy to fit

I canceled an order and requested a refund. I have been waiting over 40 days and still no refund. Takes hours to reach a representative who obviously doesn't resolve the problem. I will never again do business with this company. Don't believe me, try calling their customer service.

THE WORST customer service. Don't order online. We have waited over a month for our purchases, after we were promised our stuff a week after order. When I called to inquire about when we should expect our purchases, I was put on hold, on two different occasions, for over an hour and got no where with no answers.

Well your question is what went wrong, well so far nothing's even gone right! Where do I start let me see... in May of 2018 I ordered a stove and microwave online. Included the delivery charge. Did some checking online on IKEA site. I was reading how for a fee they will also remove your old stuff and take it. But I couldn't find online where add that to my order. So I started calling Ikea's number to be told all circuits are busy all circuits are busy continually. I finally got through was on hold for an hour and 45 minutes. Which is just so unbelievable and ridiculous, I wanted to know how I could add on to my order for them to pick up my old appliances. I was told you could only do that in the store and not online. The customer rep suggested if I wanted to cancel my order and then I could drive to the store closest to me which is an hour away. And I really wanted that service since I really had no other way to get rid of my old appliances. So that's what we did and she gave me a case number. She said it would be 7 to 14 business days till I received my refund. Which I have never had any refund Less Than 3 days return to me. And I could not purchase another one at the store until I receive my refund. So I waited the 14 quote business days. Still no refund. Try calling again all circuits busy all circuits busy etc etc. kept trying off and on the next several days. Finally I got through on hold for an hour and a half for the resolution Department, gave them the case number and they put me on hold for another 20 minutes. I was told that for some reason it was not log back in that it was did not get delivered. So I'm assuming now that it's being taken care of. Again I was told it would be 7 to 14 business days till I see my refund. Yes again I waited the 14 days and still no refund. We are now in the middle of July. So again I try to contact them and yes you guessed it all circuits busy! On July 20th 7 weeks into this, I call again and get through only a two-hour wait this time haha! And just for fun when the gal got on I asked her what's the longest she's heard of someone waiting, and she responded 3 hours unbelievable!!!! She checked on my case number again and said it had not been processed unbelievable!!!. And I was told again 7 to 14 business days.... I did ask her if there was a way since I have already waited 7 weeks to speed it up. No just the standard 7 to 14 business days. And yes I am now into August the 7 to 14 business days have come and gone. I'm on hold now for 2 hours and 7 minutes when I call this time. Gave the gal my case number put me on hold for 17 minutes. Came back that it didn't process till the 26th of July and didn't go out till the 30th of July. And again yes you guessed it 7 to 14 days business days from the 30th of July. Please if you have read through this, I wish I would have read all the reviews all about Ikea and how any company can stay in business with the poorest customer service rate I have ever seen in my 63 years of life. It's 2 months and 1 week now no refund. Please please please tell others so we could stop the frustration of trying to get a refund trying to get our things delivered, in the reviews of how much of their stuff breaks or is missing parts and then trying the frustration of getting them. I have to say I read reviews on their beds and decided not to get one. I went to Wayfair online ordered my bed it came on time there was nothing missing the product was amazingly made well. I hope I saved someone by not shopping at Ikea it's a joke!!!!!!!

IKEA is a joke honestly i ordered from them because they are a known big company and seemed legit but it seems like a scam to me i ordered 2 Alex Drawers and the table top and a mirror 350$ total and was made to pay almost 70$ shipping since i have no ikea near me and instantly then take my mom from the card , then it was said to be delivered 6/31 on the STI delivery truck from 9am to 9pm i’m like ok no problem, then sure enough 6/31 comes around and there is noooo sign of my order it’s around 7:30 i call STI and they closed at 5 so that’s the first lie where did ikea get the 9am to 9pm if the delivery company closes at 5 , and then i call ikea like what is going on and they make excuses on top of excuses , ikea tells me the date they gave me for my order to arrive was a guess and not 100% true WOW really !! now it’s august 4 and my order still hasn’t even been shipped to the delivery company ikea is a definitely not worth your money , your time and not worth all this stress

Delivery 3 hours late with no notice, two items missing, and yet we had to pay for the item selection and assembly. Went to the store; mostly indifference from the supervisor.

Wow. Excited to be receiving my new refrigerator today. I opened the door to the delivery men. Before even saying "Hello" they said "Did you schedule a pick-up?—because we can't put anything on the truck." To which I replied: "Yes, I did schedule a pick up. You are to pick up my old refrigerator. I PAID for that service." It went downhill from there. The man claimed to have no room on his truck. I looked in the truck and ONE HALF OF THE TRUCK WAS EMPTY, and on the other side was a small stack of flat pack furniture! I was in shipping/receiving for 20 years. You can move the contents from side to side pretty easily—especially flat pack. Then the delivery man shoves the paperwork in my face and says sign this. I need you to sign. To which I replied, I have not even seen the contents underneath the wrapping, I need to confirm it is the correct refrigerator. So I hastily unwrap the front to see if it's the correct model. It was, I signed the paperwork stating I was unable it inspect or confirm is was in working order. They didn't even remove the bolted pallet attached to the bottom of the refrigerator. I have been on hold for 43 minutes and counting with "customer service" What a hooptie operation. Thanks IKEA. FAIL. I did speak with a nice lady ... she transferred me to Store Resolutions"... my housemate has (still waiting as I type this) to take turns with me being on hold with them.... the saga continues.... N.E.V.E.R. A.G.A.I.N.

We ordered 4 chairs and paid for assembly and delivery. On the delivery date the 3rd party delivery firm said they had cancelled the order because of an Ikea. Ikea blamed the shipper. We spend close to 4 fours trying to reach a human of sitting on hold as each firm blamed the other. We finally went online to Ikea and cancelled the order. Ikea as not acknowledged (after a week). We have filed a complaint with our credit card company.

I will never buy from Ikea every again in my life! I will insure I tell ALL of my friends and family and pass it to my kids that this company is worthless!! I ordered a desk a over a week ago. It was SUPPOSE to be delivered Tuesday 7/31. I waited 2 days incase it was late. NO DESK! I call the IKEA number and I am on hold for 30 min only to be hung up on!! I don’t even want the damn desk, give me my money back!

I'm giving 2 stars because the service we received in store was fantastic. But, the 'distribution' delivery was terrible, delivery was booked between 7-11 am but didn't get delivered till 13:10. Plus there was a shelf missing. Very disappointed with your delivery IKEA!

Can I rate less than 1 star? Horrible service. How do they stay in business? Placed order, charged immediately, almost 4 weeks later and no item yet. Missed 2 estimated delivery dates. 48 minutes on hold to be told has not arrived in the warehouse yet to be sent out for delivery. Are they sending it by turtleback. First and last order with these people.

I convinced myself it wouldn't happen to me. The missing parts. The broken parts. But it was delivered in over a week after ordering online and an entire box was wrong and so a huge shelving unit sits in my room for weeks. Yes, weeks. Customer service has no answers. They claim they can't expedite shipping, ever. This is the worst experience ever and I will never shop here again because of this. Spend more on quality furniture because this company SUCKS. It will waste hours of your life and it's not worth it.

Everything wrong with the delivery....they screwed up our delivery 4 times!!! Even with an Ikea confirmation. Work day lost, a lot of re arranging schedules...Ikea hires a third party, so don't call them to track your order....they don't know, I have emails from IKEA employee, telling us they don't know who to call to track our order!!! You might think is not Ikeas fault because its a third party, but to have them tell me they can't track the order and don's have a number!!! We are really hoping to receive the order, and that they didn't scam us...right now, that's the only feeling we have. Lets see what the 5th attempt brings us!.
