I bought 500 USD worth of furniture in Japan. Eight months later, I had to return to the US and sent back all furniture new, unused, with the packaging not even opened. IKEA Japan has a 365-day return policy and I have several emails acknowledging I was owed a full refund. And then, because of an error on their end, they could not process a refund to my American credit card! I didn't understand - it was a MasterCard that can be used internationally. It was the same MasterCard they had no trouble charging 500 USD in the first place. For four months I've been arguing back and forth with IKEA. They will only mail a check to a Japanese address; I asked them multiple times to contact IKEA US for me, so that my American CC could be refunded. They refused. I reached out to IKEA US for help - they also refused. This is a total scam.

Some time has passed and my complaints have still not been resolved. IKEA in Murcia in Spain is not serious. My complaints are not being processed. IKEA MURCIA does not call me back. When I call IKEA Murcia again, they always let me wait at least 1 hour on the phone. IKEA Murcia supplies broken and damaged cabinets and they do not solve the problem. IKEA Murcia promises a lot, time and again but does not keep its promises. IKEA Murcia leaves me with damaged cupboards, doors and shelves and does not supply any new parts for the cupboards. IKEA Murcia IS UNRELIABLE. IKEA Murcia also works with a delivery service that throws shelves and cupboards. For me there is only 1 solution and from now on it is to buy furniture and cupboards from another company. I warn you: Do not buy anything at IKEA MURCIA. You will regret it otherwise.

Ha pasado un tiempo y mis quejas aún no se han resuelto. IKEA en Murcia en España no es grave. Mis quejas no se están procesando. IKEA MURCIA no me devuelve la llamada. Cuando llamo a IKEA Murcia nuevamente, siempre me dejan esperar al menos 1 hora por teléfono. IKEA Murcia suministra gabinetes rotos y dañados y no resuelven el problema. IKEA Murcia promete mucho, una y otra vez, pero no cumple sus promesas. IKEA Murcia me deja con armarios, puertas y estantes dañados y no suministra piezas nuevas para los armarios. IKEA Murcia NO ES CONFIABLE. IKEA Murcia también trabaja con un servicio de entrega que arroja estantes y armarios. Para mí solo hay una solución y de ahora en adelante es comprar muebles y armarios de otra empresa. Te advierto: no compres nada en IKEA MURCIA. Te arrepentirás de lo contrario.

Don’t buy online and don’t try to complain to customer service either because they won’t respond or they’ll hang up on you THREE times. I bought a closet system and all of the parts were literally just THROWN into one big ass box. Nothing was secured, the boxes (and the board to my system) were warped because nothing was correctly packaged. And no I try ruins either. I’ve been a long time okra customer bit after this (and after leaving multiple messages for their customer service) I can confidently say that IKEA is some ass. Won’t ever waste my money here again.

We had a problem with our sofa after 11 months. Ikea have been amazing, within the week they had an agent come out to inspect the sofa, and the following day called to say we could replace. The two Ikea workers who I have been dealing with are June and Stewart. I can only say their professionalism and way in which they have dealt with this has been excellent. I would highly recommend Ikea for price, returns and giving an excellent service.

Don’t get anything delivered - they are a complete joke with regards to compensation if anything’s damaged,offered me a £10 voucher to spend with them even though I’d paid £39 for delivery of damaged goods - had to drive to the store to swap the damaged items and that’s there goodwill gesture lol u can’t make it up

Ordered some furniture online, waited 3 weeks for delivery, order when arrived was missing some items, spent few hours on the phone to try to get all my items from my order resend, when after few days started putting furniture together some of panels inside a box were damaged. Spent half day to calling customer service, constamtly busy or when you get somebody they were saying that they will transfer you to other dept just to drop your call or to busy line which automaticly disconnect you. After 3 days of trying to file complaint finaly gave up. What a pitiful disgusting customer service, IKEA US really dont care aboslutely ridiculous attitude they have towards their customers. Never will buy from them.

this is the second time that this thing happens to so i am writing it so if there any authority of Ikea reading it understand the root of their problems, its the second time that I ordered something and its been handed to DHL with an incomplete address, the first time, it took about 30 days to deliver and this time god knows when its gonna be delivered. I paid delivery fees for a safe secure delivery not a delivery with a wrong address. I checked my order for at least three times and even shown the address of it to a couple of friends, but still half of my address is not even mentioned in my DHL package information and everyday i get this bogus Email that due to incomplete address the package is not deliverable, if there was something lower than 1 star I would give to this company cause they led me down for the second time. my feeling toward IKEA is currently an untrustworthy company with a lot of drunk employees who cant even read an address. I am trying to be the most fair possible to not think about it since my name is too long and I am being by that matter discriminated, But i feel some drunk person is behind the computer shipping my stuff with wrong address. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!

I have been using Ikea for a very long time, but always using the store to pay and organise deliveries - if needed. this time I ordered online, each time a receipt etc. but no mention of the delivery I had paid for and adjusted to be on 11 October next between 07 am and 12 -30 ... this is because I could only be there at that time and the two items I ordered would then be coming together... there was no mention of time and date on the receipt.... and nothing, but as I had carefully filled in the 11/oct and time I did not think twice about it.. yesterday evening - when I was away I got a message saying the sofa would be coming today between 12 30 and 4 pm.. I had to rush back as there is absolutely no way of communicating (telephone is busy non stop half hour waits). and no online live help... disgraceful, it was their fault the times were not what I ordered for delivery and there is no way of getting through to them... they are a large and rich company and should have more in the way to help people who book online... beware and be very careful about using their online ordering...

Have spent more than 8 hours on the phone trying to get a $2000 refund processed from 1 month ago. All the CSRs polite but ineffectual and there’s no way to escape to a manager who can get to the bottom of the problem. Do I have to make a legal claim? Seems crazy - at my wit’s end. Don’t order through the click and pick up system!!

I ordered in advance with a specific delivery date of September 30. I arranged my schedule to be available. I then get notified that it will be October 5th when I am out of town for work. Incompetent and inconsiderate come to mind Now I am left struggling to find someone to be there to accept delivery. What is wrong when they cannot do something as simple as keeping their word? I suspect it just wasn’t convenient for their truck so they simply said F you and changed it. Won’t be buying their again. Might as well buy from a local furniture company and get decent service and assembled furniture. Thanks for nothing!!

So, yup, the same problem as many others. Damaged goods delivered, and one missing item entirely. Impossible to get through to customer service. Phone number is a sham, and you can't send in an email because the form requires you to fill in information that doesn't exist (such as the bar code from the receipt which doesn't exist because it was an online order) The only option is to drive to a store? Come on, that's why ordered delivery in the first place. You get what you pay for, but honestly IKEA is not so cheap these days on some items. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Another review again about the disgraceful customer service - buyer beware!! The only way to get them to respond to an issue is by filing a claim with the BBB. Very easy process and the BBB was great, they responded right away!! So to all those who cant get through, try reporting to the BBB. It is such an absolute shame that customers who are having issues are completely ignored, via email AND their scam of a phone system. Just an awful way to treat your customers! People who purchase from IKEA are usually traveling long distances and might only find issues with the products when they get home to assemble. There is no way for these customers to get help via phone, its just unbelievable that this is allowed to keep happening. Shame shame on you IKEA. There are so many complaints and bad reviews on BBB, google..etc. about this very issue and nothing is being done to resolve it. Disgusting.

Impossible to get to a customer representative when calling Ikea. At the end of a series of automatic choices, the call is dropped. This has happened 6 times in a row. Shameful.
