What ever happened to friendly sales people? I hardly shop at JC Penny but I do buy my sneakers there. The last pair I bought hurt my feet. So I brought them back. I was told since I had worn them I couldn't return them. How could I tell if the sneakers were going to hurt my feet if I didn't use them. They were clean and not worn when I returned them. Apparently even if you use them once you've got no recourse. These were expensive sneakers and should not have hurt like they did. I understand breaking things in I just think they were defective in the making. Anyway, when I bought the sneakers the lady that waited on me was rude and having a bad day. That I just shrugged off. But when I went to return the sneakers the cashier and supervisor could have been a lot nicer than they were. I called the 800 number and asked about returning the sneakers because I was so ticked off about the way it was handled. The person on the line said if it was an online order he could me but because it was on store he couldn't. Was I mad at him? Nope... why? Because eventhough he couldn't help me. He was nice! Absolutely horrible. I ordered clothes on 1/14/24 for my mid February trip. I kept an eye on my order through tracking. The order said it was shipped, in route through 2/22/24. The following day, the status said that it was delivered on 2/11/24. I reached out about it and was told that it showed delivered. Neither me nor my neighbors received the order. I was supposed to receive a communication on Sunday, then on Monday. Today I requested a refund. JCP should have a better customer service base and delivery methods on their online orders. This is terrible.

I used to be a faithful customer, but don't shop much here anymore because of these issues. I had a $15 off coupon and finally found a chain I would buy at 60% off. It didn't ring up correctly so I showed the cashier the sign that said SALE. She then stated she could correct the price, but that the coupon wouldn't work since anything over 50% off is a DOORBUSTER. The sign didn't say that. I asked how would an average customer know then if the sign didn't say. She replied, "that's just the way it is." I have no problem following the many exclusions, but the signs should give us valid information! Another lost customer for Penneys!

The sales lady offered me the opportunity to open an account and after 45 minutes on phone, it was declined. I previously had one ( not used 2 years as I am Canadian and could not come to the US during covid) I was then told it will then be renewed and sent to my Canadian address. Three weeks passed, no card. I called customer service, the agent could not help and his superior did not pick up phone! Poor service all around. Returning bought merchandise on which I would have had 35% off as promised by salesperson.t

I input my correct shipping address on the website when I ordered my item, but I paid with PayPal, so JC Penny changed my shipping address to the PayPal address (which was not my current address and all the way across the country from where I live). When I found out what I happened, I called them immediately and they refused to do anything to help, even though it was their fault the whole thing happened. The customer service reps were extremely rude and kept telling me to call UPS to change the address. When I called UPS, they said JC Penny has to change the address. When I told the customer service rep this, they refused to believe it and told me to change it at UPS even though it doesn't work. It was like talking to a brick wall made of stupidity. Never shop here unless you want to lose your money since they don't care about customers at all.

I ordered an expensive comforter that I did days of research on due to horrible allergies. JCPenny sent me the wrong color 3xs! Even after making notes on my account to check stock before sending. Gas back to the store, gas to go to the hub, call after call after call and I was very patient. NOW the 3rd wrong delivery shows up so I ask for a supervisor just to get sent to the escalation department to be told "if you reorder it again you're probably not going to get the right color." Huh, wtf? I Asked her why, and she said something stupid about them maybe they changed their dye.... WTF! And then said "again I'm so sorry, you got the wrong color what else can I help you with today?" If it wouldn't hurt my credit to just close it, I would just close it! If it weren't for the fact that they were trying to force me to take something I don't like or want I would just keep it, but light gray is not black! Capital F' JCPenny, not worth the hassle SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!

O purchased something on line and they charged my credit card. I then received a notice 5 days later saying it was no longer available and that I would be refunded on my card Never received the refund. Called them and said they don’t charge u t’il item is shipped and refused to give me a refund Tried to speak to a manager and refused to allow me to do so

Davenport jcpennys. I worked here and the management is bad and likes to choose favorites. This has to be the most boring job ever. They like to stick u at the cashier where nobody goes ALL DAY and just forget about you. You could leave the store and they wouldn’t notice. I got yelled at for wearing leggings but the other ladies who were wearing leggings didn’t. So unprofessional! We always cut these stickers from the roll downstairs, so when I was upstairs I looked and it wasn’t done. So I started to cut them so it be easier to just grab and go. But my coworker saw this and ran over to me and said “ we do not do that, you needa stop” in front of many customers. Don’t even get me started about the bathrooms 🤮. Always has poop or pee on the toilets. Always stinks even after they “ clean”. Half the doors don’t lock. This jcpenny is by far the worst company I’ve ever worked with. DO NOT APPLY HERE!!!

I took my children to take pictures at JC Penny at 360 Gateway Drive Brooklyn NY 11239 and the staff was horrible. I know you may be thinking oh it's children what do you expect. No the photographer had no patience at all. She actually set a timer on her phone and told us we only had 10 minutes to take pictures. So in my mind I'm like this is not our first rodeo I have been taking pictures with my children here for the past 8 years and a timer was never set. I'm thinking maybe their about to close but no its 4 p.m so they can't be closing. I remembered when I took my daughter's pictures for her birthday the floor which is a back drop had rolls in them and they showed in her pictures so I tried to change rooms so that I could see whether the floor was like that in each room. It was all the same so that annoyed the photographer. So now we start the session and the way she was rushing to take the pictures was unbelievable. She took a total of 13 pictures and none of them came out nice. I don't understand why the session was rushed. This will be my last time ever taking pictures with JC Penny.

I entered the mid rivers JC Penny store at 11am to return a jewelry item. There was one store employee at the jewelry counter waiting on a customer. The associate called a manager over to help with the transaction and after completing her assisting the manager walked away without any acknowledgement of me standing there for the past 15 minutes. After completing her assistance of the other customer the associate came to me to attempt to assist until 2 other customers walked up to which the associate walked away from me and called for assistance to help the other customers. When I questioned why she called for assistance for them and not for me she claimed her reason was because she was "waiting on a customer and couldn't stop to call anyone" yet she interrupted her assisting ME to call someone. It took me 23 minutes to return an item, which to me was OUTRAGEOUS!! The manager was INCOMPETENT and apparently does not know what 'customer service' is by allowing a customer to wait for as long as I did. I will NEVER shop at JC Penny nor will I EVER order online from a JC Penny store again!

I ordered 2 shoes online and both of them got canceled because not available. but they still show available and ready to order online after 7 days. Customer said they shows available in inventory but not in warehouse, what the heck. How can JCP do business even no clue about their inventory. Shame on them.

I saw two cute kid dresses priced at 70% off. Went to pay asked to have her check the price because they were in the 70% off. The lady just rang them up and gave me the price to pay and I asked if that was with the discount she said no. So I reminded her she said prove it so I told her to the rack they were hanging on, with other just like them, she said no it’s only for these ones and pointed to the other dresses on the same rack. I said the tag says 70% off she just said nope and so I did not buy them. She then said I can give you a small discount is said no I want the discount that the store has advertised them. Bait & switch! Fraud! It has happened alot in the past year at this location!

I just closed my JCP account after 45 years! In November, I sent my husband a JCP link for a sweater that I would like for my birthday. JCP has closed the store nearby and I don't use my JCP credit card very often and evidently the credit card was saved in my account. I'm the person who pays the bills but we never received a bill in December and then we received a bill with a late fee and interest in January. It is difficult to get to a real person and everything is automated on the website but I completed a dispute form and then received a response that they HAD sent a December invoice and I still owed the additional fees. So, my $29 sweater ended up costing us $61! I only shop JCP occasionally online, at which time I will just use a regular credit card.

I ordered several things from Christmas they said when I ordered them we will guarantee them by this date they didn't one of them didn't come by that date it was well after that day and they were nasty about it they would not answer their phone at the store the lady at the register said we were told not to answer a phone no customer service whatsoever I've had an account for some time now but never again do yourself a favor shop anywhere but JCPenney's

I went to JCPenney and found a pair of shoes I adored. However there was no box or sticker on them. I took them to the register where Kendra agreed to hold them and find a price by tomorrow. Which she did. When I returned the next day Angele had the shoes for me with a price. Even better a sale price. Thank you Kendra and Angele for your customer first service.

They suck as an employer. And no respect when it comes to going to doctors and dentists. Management cares about pushing credit cards too much. Give me a damn break!!!

The worst, they sent wrong order and asking me to return which is fine with me but then they wanted to me to reorder. I can order other stuff in other stores return them back and they will send the correct one. This one you have to call a different department so annoying as if it was my mistake they sent the wrong order. So much hassle buying from them.
