We were planning to recarpet our house - 3 bedrooms, a den, a formal living room and a hall. Since we were in Lowe's and I was looking at the available samples of their carpet, my husband insisted that I discuss carpet with their associate. The associate was helpful and eager to help me. We are of advanced age and I was interested in carpet that would not track if we were in a wheelchair or on a walker plus easy to maneuver with those devices. Measurements were necessary to tell me what I was going to need so an appointment was made for them (I thought) to come out and measure, but it turns out that Lowe's contracts with another company 50 miles away to come measure and install carpet that you pick out in their store, After getting home, I get an immediate call from this contracted company to confirm the appointment. This person had a foreign accent. I looked at reviews for the company and find that Stainmaster is owned by Lowe's and that there are multiple bad reviews about the particular carpet I was looking at plus bad reviews on the process for installation by contracted companies plus a nightmare if you had a problem. If you have a problem, It's a MESS! I decided to cancel the people coming to measure and called Lowe's to cancel the appointment and to get a refund of $32.50 that I had to pay for this appointment only to be told by the associate in flooring that he couldn't do that - he was not allowed and many questions about WHY was I canceling. I was given 2 numbers to call - one for the installing team and one for the quoting team. I called the first number and told that person that I wanted to cancel and who I had talked with at Lowe's. She put me on hold and when she came back, she had talked with the associate that I had spoken with at Lowe's. She said that he would get with his manager and have the problem settled by 1. At 12:45, the associate that I dealt with when I made the appointment called me and wanted to know why I was canceling. I told him that I didn't think I owed everybody an explanation and he wanted to know where I had read bad reviews. Also, he asked if I wanted a refund which I told him Most Certainly, but he told me that he couldn't do that - they had to have my card. He also asked if I had notified the people who were to come measure that I was canceling the appointment. Duh??? I was dealing with Lowe's, not the outside people so they should be the ones to call them plus I didn't have contact info!!! Now I'm having to go to their store which is 45 minutes away to deal with it again!!! So, the morale of this story is, do your homework before you get involved!!!! THE REST OF THE STORY: At 1:25 just before I was leaving my house to drive to Lowe's, I received a call from the Asst. Manager of Lowe's that she had taken care of my refund and that when the refund was made it automatically canceled my appointment with the contracted people. Too much of my time lost dealing with this when a simple phone call would have been sufficient if the associates were knowledgeable. At this point, I think my appointment has been canceled - we'll see.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I ordered something today and called them back to say I forgot to change shipping address and the total hours on the phone after all the the run around that I got was over 2 hours. They keep putting me on hold. After all that they said they couldn’t change address because it was shipped even though when I went to my account it said it was being processed not yet shipped. Arrival date will be June 20. I called my cc to dispute charge. I will never shop Lowes again.

5/12/2024 5:30 hiring manager:Carlos Columbus Store I went to interview for customer associate and I waited for 35 minutes. He never came back or let me know anything the whole time I sat there and proceeded to gather associates around and have a "meeting" during my interview time. That was completely unprofessional and a waste of my time. When you guys hire to hire other employees. make sure their qualified to multitask, if not then what are they hired for?

Everything went wrong! I know that’s hard to believe but at each step of the project there was a problem. The person sent to the house to estimate the project either didn’t relay the correct information as to what was truly needed to complete the job or there was an error in translation when those measurements got into the hands of the person who puts together the estimate. There were miscalculations, missing product, wrong product, and no solutions to their errors. The install team were not told to pick up the product and at the last minute we were told we needed to pick up the flooring install materials. We had no direct contact with anyone. This was through email where we tried telling the person estimating that we thought the estimate was wrong. She doubled down and outright told us the estimate was correct. At this time Lowe’s was also updating their systems so even at the store people couldn’t get to areas they needed to in the computer to complete steps. Absolute disorganization. Numerous complaints were filed due to their delay in completing steps of the project and because no one oversaw the product delivery, they ended up delivering it all for free hours before the installers arrived. However when the installers showed up they told us the products were wrong and missing. Another call to the store had me on hold for 20 minutes and then another call to their customer care ended up with them saying we needed to return the wrong product and purchase what we needed. Unprofessional behaviors, incompetent workers, and needless to say we learned our lesson. Beware and go elsewhere.

Lowes sent merchandise three days late. Just lost my Mother and was packing things up in Florida. Boxes arrived when I was back in New Jersey 3 days late. Customer service was no help! They were actually rude. There was nothing super about the supervisor. Unsympathetic, lacked compassion, and was a real complete butthole! I have is name and code to follow. All this over $43.00. I also had to go buy more boxes from Lowe's since the original never arrived. Lowes customer service is as crappy as the rest of are third world countries!!!!!

What went wrong? Lowes delivered a fridge that wouldn’t cool so I ordered a replacement. My credit card for both transactions and now I am struggling to get credit. Similar situation with a washer that I bought at the same time to take advantage of a promotion. Additionally, the salesperson added $100 without any reason to the total. I am fighting to recover 1,936.07 that I was overcharged. What else could go wrong?

My neighbor directly behind my house in Indian Harbour Beach Florida bought a new fence from Lowes. The installers were absolutely incompetent and lazy. They took five days to install a fence that should have taken three days. The installers cut my fence and removed my corner post leaving my fence to sway in the wind. The other neighbor had his fence cut and repaired half ass by the installers. The fence was not install properly. It's out of line and has a one foot gap on two north east sections where my two little dogs got out twice. When the buyer complained to Lowes they put the poor lady off for two weeks with rude management. Then told her it would be approximately 3 weeks before the subcontractors can come back out to check her complaints. The sub contractors also over ordered fence materials and fencing and tried to take the materials with them....the home owner stopped them from loading the materials on their truck. You would think a multi-million dollar company like Lowes would hire competent subcontractors. This has been a nightmare for the customer and her neighbors. Such a shame. I also called Lowes in Indian Harbour Beach to complain and was treated rudely by a character named Jim who claimed to be the store manager. Jim would not give me his last name and talked down to me as if I were stupid. I suggest Lowes send this character back to management school.

I recently visited Loews to purchase blinds and had a disappointing experience. I had to wait for 45 minutes because the only available employee was on lunch break. When she finally arrived, there was no apology for the wait. Additionally, her attitude was unenthusiastic and she showed no interest in helping me select a product. Overall, the customer service was poor and did not meet my expectations. I guess it’s the new world we are living in.

I have been rebuilding my front porch on my home due to rotting wood. Lowes #1925 has been by go to store in Cornelia Ga which is almost 14 miles away. Many times I have gone to the store purchasing items sometimes duplicates, sometimes needing more, items not needed, too many etc. My Lowes card has been the primary source of purchasing items but sometimes I have forgotten my wallet so I paid in cash. Today June 9th 2024 I am almost finished in rebuilding my porch and I needed a few things to paint the floor with non-skid paint. I’m 70 years old and afraid of falling on wet or icy surfaces. The reason I want non-skid paint. I gather some items that I knew I wouldn’t need to complete my project. Several Items were returned with no issues. I have other items to return but am afraid they will be stolen as well by Lowes #1925. 2 items a sanding sponge and Mini wax wood hardener were issues. I had bought 3 cans of the wood hardener at various times. The csr told me he couldn’t find them to return with a receipt. Informed the clerk I had some receipts in my vehicle and receipts at home. Most often I used my Lowes advantage card but at times I paid cash due to leaving my wallet at home. No need to drive 28 miles round trip when I had cash in my pocket. I took both items back out to my vehicle and started looking for receipts. I remember the 2 items were purchased at the same time but I found a receipt showing the mini wax wood hardener. The sanding sponge was not on this receipt even though I clearly remember purchasing the wood hardener, sanding sponge and a few other things at the same time. He never said he needed the exact receipt only a receipt. I took the wood hardener with the receipt I found back to the return desk. Even with the receipt he couldn’t find them. Lowes camera caught me twice entering the store with the wood hardener $19.98. The store manager acknowledged that the cameras recorded me twice entering the store with the wood hardener but the receipt I found in my vehicle showed returned. Obviously it was not the right receipt. The store manager refused to hand me the wood hardener backing away when I reached for it. Stating the receipt I had provided showed returned. OBVIOUSLY THE WRONG RECEIPT. Refused to give me my wood hardener, store credit for items I intended to purchase to paint my porch floor. It is an undeniable fact I walked into the store twice with the $19.98 wood hardener. Why did she refused to let me leave with an item that cameras show I entered the store twice? Why did she not tell me to return with another receipt ? She never asked me if I had any other receipts. If she had I would have told her I in fact had other receipts at home. It was my intention to take the wood hardener back home and look for another receipt as well as make my purchases for the day. Perhaps it was the way I was dressed. I had been working on my porch and my clothing showed I had been working. I’m not some derelict. I am in fact a 70 year old honorably discharged Vietnam Era Veteran, never been arrested and in my life I have received 2 tickets. One when I was 19 years old for speeding and one for being on my cell phone. Georgia laws regarding cell phone is different than Texas where I lived for 25 years which allow you to be on your phone if you are stopped. I’m not going to get dressed up to go to Lowes and come back home change clothes to continue working. Needless to say I was furious and the cameras will show I was furious. She stole from me and smiled about it. Let me tell you what this has cost Lowes. The wood hardener was stolen from me by the female who claimed to be the store manager and it is my intention to let everyone know what occurred. Tile has been ordered to tile my kitchen floor. Plumbing has already been installed to switch from an electric stove to propane stove. I’m merely waiting for a phone call the tile is in . It could be next week or a couple of months from now. The tile is from Italy. I need a large quantity of the tile so I’m not going to run to different stores piece meal the tile . I want the same run number for color uniformity. These are the following items I intended to purchase from Lowes #1925. backer board waterproof 35 pieces 24.98 =874.30 backer screws 3@ 34.98=104.94 backer tape 5@ 7.88 =39.40 ready mix mortar 4 @ 32.99=131.96 ¾ round white 8 ft 7.84 =54.88 Unfinished 3/4 round 8 ft 6.88 =48.16 Grout 3 @ 34.98 =104.94 Tar paper 2 @34.98 =69.60 Propane 30” 5 burner self-cleaning air fry $2000 $3428.18 Deborah H Schimek

It is really sad that lowes has chosen to not have cashiers at there stores,I was at the lowes in iowa city ia and not one cashier because they went to self check out, when I asked a employee for assistance they wouldn't help and said everyone is going to self check out and it was the only way to go,they were actually very rude about it,so I left my cart full of what I had and went to a store that actually had people that would check you out,I am canceling my lowes card and will not go back

We purchased 3 new appliances from Lufkin Tx Lowe’s. On the delivery date due I had an email from the Alexandria La. Lowe’s that my order was loaded and on the way. The driver called me and was 20 minutes away. Cristian, the driver, was efficient, knowledgeable and really nice, courteous guy. He asked me to come out and look at the freezer. Door hinge at top was broken somehow. He called his dispatcher and they said return it and they would start getting us a.new replacement. Best professional delivery persons ever! Highly rated and yes, Lowe’s and Christian are also highly recommended.

Lowes is a terrible company. I opened a business account to help faciolitate a contractor doing work for our office on a project. Despite the fact that we made a payment in full for almost the entire credit limit, and the money was paid to Lowes for almost 2 weeks, our contractor was not allowed to purchase more material. After an impossible call; with customer service, they still did not release the funds, despite the fact that the payment was already made. Horrible service, something out of the 19th Century. Just riduculous and a little like fraud sine they took my money already.

I went to purchase a dishwasher that Lowes offered a $150 rebate. However the rebate required me to switch electrical providers that would have resulted in a $250 cancellation fee. The new provider’s rate were twice what I was currently paying. So the rebate would cost about $2200 my first year of the contract. It’s shameful that Lowes would offer such a bogus sham rebate.

Lowes VB. I am sure all Lowes are the same. Ordered refrigerator and had it delivered. There is a dent in the side and the doors were not even in the front. There is a dent in the front also. I will never again buy an appliance from Lowes. I will always buy from an appliance store. They never bring a product with flaws. Lowes did twice, unfortunately we did not notice until after it was delivered. Lesson learned.
