“ I live in South Africa and sent mum a bunch of flowers to the U.K. for Mother’s Day. She is elderly and these types of communications speak volumes. I was surprised to not have heard from her by the end of last Sunday so I checked to see when the delivery had happened and the flowers had been dropped off at completely the wrong house! Luckily I had a pic from the couriers proof of delivery, but my poor mum had to get dressed and walk to the house in the pouring rain and carry the box back! A totally ruined surprise, not to mention shambles on every level! I contacted M&S and their response was a basic ‘sorry your mum had to walk in the rain’ and send me a £10 e-card which is of no use to me as I live in Africa, and it’s also of no use to my mother as she wouldn’t know what to do with it! I also don’t want to spend more money with this company! I told M&S all this and they couldn’t care less - saying that they are sorry that I’m not satisfied!!! ”
