I brought a mattress online on Thursday 16th Jan which was delivered on Friday 17th Jan. Delivery was within 24hours as described so can't fault that. The product was as described so can't fault that either. Over the weekend I was sent a link to a site called Sleepshop.co.uk who had the very same product for £80 cheaper. I contacted Mattressman on Monday 27th asking if they offer a price match and if they would refund the difference to which they replied I should have made them aware at the time of purchase. I responded by stating If I had known at the time I more than likely would have purchased from Sleepshop.co.uk as they had in stock and offered delivery within 24hours too. Mattressman have responded with a refusal of refund which is fine. Hence the 2 star review as their customer service is nowhere near as good as their service of delivery. Noted that I should have done some more homework on my purchase and could have brought it cheaper elsewhere, my loss which I accept but just want readers of reviews to know that Sleepshop.co.uk is cheaper with the same stock and delivery service. Such a shame as I would have been more than happy to recommend this company and made future purchases with them.

Awful service, avoid this company. The delivery courier damaged paintwork and a large picture frame when taking the mattress up the stairs carelessly. When I contacted the company they refused to take responsibility.

Ordered first bedframe. Delivery repeatedly changed/didn't show up (despite me staying in the house for it for 2 days). I am a carer for my grandmother so this was a major inconvenience. When it did arrive, one box was missing. Had to wait another 2 days. Both boxes arrived horribly damaged. When we put the bedframe together there were huge cracks in it. After waiting a week for the bedframe, we decided to keep it and ask for a partial refund. We were offered a free set of pillows, which we declined. They then said they could give us a discount on another bedframe for our spare room. We stupidly agreed, and have now had the exact same experience with the second bedframe, only recieving one box which is majorly damaged (it has a footprint on it and is open at one end). We are now waiting for the second box which I am sure is going to turn up damaged. If this bedframe is also cracked, I will be seeking a refund for it. Not impressed at all, do not recommend. GO ELSEWHERE AND SPEND A BIT MORE MONEY. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

BEWARE ! There’s an issue either with Mattressman or BJS Home Delivery, when we tried to order a mattress from Mattressman. I ordered a Mattress, and asked and paid for the old mattress to be collected, and a delivery date was agreed. I was given a timeslot of between 9am – 12noon on the day of delivery…I stayed in to await delivery, at 12noon I still hadn’t heard anything and no mattress. At 12:10pm I received a phone call from the delivery driver, saying they will be there in 50 minutes, but he wasn’t going to pick up my old Mattress, as I was his first delivery, so there was no space and he had no bag for the old mattress. I told him this wasn’t good enough, and he had best turn around, as I wasn’t accepting delivery unless he was taking my old mattress. I then called Mattressman and explained the situation, and they were going to speak to BJS about this. I then received a telephone call from BJS, saying they were going to still deliver the mattress and they hadn’t decided whether they were collecting the old mattress or not. I explained again that if they weren’t collecting the old mattress then I wasn’t going to accept the new one. A further phone call from Mattressman, said they are 100% collecting the old Mattress and they will be there at 1pm as everything is now sorted. 1pm arrives, as does the delivery man, who knocks on my door. I answer and he says he has a mattress to be delivered, and I said yes and you are taking the old mattress away – to which I was told no we are not taking your old mattress. I advised he speak to his Manager as this has all been agreed. I in turn called Mattressman back, and the guy I had been dealing with was on lunch. I explained the situation and was told they will sort it. After 5 minutes the delivery guy knocked at the door and said 100% he is not collecting the old mattress, at which point I turned him away and said I’m not accepting the new mattress. At 2:30pm I had received nothing back from either Company so I had to chase Mattressman again to see what was going on, and all they could say was we will re-schedule. I informed them that the contract agreement was for them to deliver the new mattress and to take the old one away. As they had broke the contract by the delivery guy refusing to take the old mattress I wanted a full refund. Needless to say the refund didn’t arrive and I had to chase multiple times to get a full refund, which in the end I did. It felt very much like a scam with the old mattress, as how many people would send away a new mattress if they weren’t collecting the old mattress ? and therefore they keep the money and would they actually come back on a different day to collect the old mattress ??? I will NEVER use Mattressman or BJS Home Delivery service again, it was appalling service and extremely poor communication. Funny enough on the Mattressman website, when you try and leave feedback, if its not 4 or 5 stars it won’t let you submit it !

Despite paying extra for next day delivery over a week later still not received delivery . Wasted 2 days waiting in for delivery. I cannot review the mattress as I do not have it. Mattressnan need to change couriers. Extremely disappointed.

There courier didnt deliver, they failed to rectify and I lost two days waiting around. Dont use these jokers.

Fantastic price, great delivery service. New mattress feels fantastic. Was kept informed throughout. Old mattress taken away, new one put straight on to bed. Cannot sing their praises highly enough. Thank you Mattressman. Absolutely brilliant.

Was told my mattress couldnt be picked up due to staining and that the £30 I paid for it to be picked up was then none refundable. 'Acceptable staining' is not a clear definition and left to the discretion of the delivery driver which is completely subjective and not an acceptable method to then refuse a refund for a service that was not delivered.

Happy with the product but if I were to say I'm extremely unhappy with the delivery and customer service it would be an understatement. We were told multiple different delivery times and windows which we repeatedly rearranged our work schedules around. Then the bed arrived with no headboard and we had to go through the process of being messed around again. The man on the phone in the Lowestoft branch was very rude too. I would only recomend this company if you do not work and have time to wait around all day for your purchase to arrive. 4 stars for the bed... minus 10 stars for the customer service

Wanted to order super king mattress .emailed an enquiry and heard nothing back, despite getting message someone would. If they're not bothered to answer I'll go elsewhere. £1400 order lost there

Purchased an Emma mattress when delivered clearly was a refurbished model they were trying to offload to me while charging full price new. Informed them straight away and treated like a criminal wouldn’t arrange a replacement until I provide photos to prove the item was delivered in poor condition even though they said across phone the photo from courier showed it was damaged. The item was a refurbished mattress definitely not new, have rejected this and requested a collection and refund not acceptable and against Trading standards I’m sure! Would use again!

Bought a mattressfor my back ( have a disability since birth ) but i was NOT MADE AWARE of T& C and looking back i now realize i was rushed into it by Ian - Peterborough branch - I received a mattress that is way too hard than the one i tested in the shop. I RECEIVED NO HELP AT ALL !!!!!! IN TIME I FIGURED THAT THE MATTRESSES IN THE SHOP HAVE BEEN USED BY SO MANY PEOPLE SO ARE NOT A RELIABLE STANDARD ANYMORE, SO YOU THINK YOU ARE BUYING THE ONE FOR YOU INSTEAD YOU BUY AN OPPOSITE !!!!!!!! BE AWARE!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!! YOU WON'T RECEIVE ANY HELP AT ALL !!!!!! HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE CUT ME OFF AND DISCONNECTED THE PHONE SO I COULDN'T CALL ANYMORE!!!!!! I AM SHOCKED THE WAY THEY DEAL WITH GENUINE CUSTOMERS THAT NEED HELP WITH AFTERSALE!!!!!! :( THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD STEP IN OR THE CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU OR A TELEVISION SERIES TO TRY TO SHAKE THEIR HORRIBLE WAYS!!!!!!! Mattressman was the best priced for the most amazing quality we have ever had, we cannot recommend him and his service enough! service was fast and we definitely will be buying in the future our children’s beds from him.

Paid a lot of money 11months ago for a cast aluminum patio set, was used only 4months then covered away for the winter. on setting back up found a item had broken away from a part of the unit, they no longer supply the item and had spoken to the manufacturer saying that I was at fault caused by impact, the whole unit has no other sign of mis-use and had been safely stored. feel so disappointed with customer service find they have fobbed me off because they no longer sell. Wouldn't recommend nor the manufacture

Terrible service, paid for uplift of old bedframe, guys refused to uplift saying it wasn't on the order, showed them the order then they said it would have to be dismantled. Nowhere on emails states dismantle. Called customer services to ask for refund of £30 paid for uplift - not a chance of this happening of course. All round awful experience, avoid using this company
