I ordered a henry hoover on 12th May 2015! website said it was in stock and would take 3-5 working days to arrive, I received confirmation of my order via email. It is now 22nd June! and all I have received is junk mail every single day! even though I have chased them countless times for an update as to where my order is, but still to this day I haven't received any reply / update.
There is no way you can speak to anyone over the phone, all the contact numbers they provide are utter useless. And no customer service support team gets back to you when you send them messages so I would advise to steer clear!!!”
“Placed an order for a LG TV. Described as being available and would be delivered within 3-7 days. After a week with the order sitting in processing I contacted sales support, which you can only do by sending a message. Took about 24 hours to get a response that they were waiting for the TV from the manufacturer and that they had no ETA. They also stated that while this was bad news, the good news was I was saving money. I replied that I was not saving money as it is not saved if I never receive anything. I also pointed out that their web site still was advertising the tv as in stock with a 3-7 day delivery. Got a refund via PayPal dispute. Never again.”
“Would have left a negative star if it was possible. Ordered item on 12/5 and was told that as it was not a stock item it would take up to 10 days for this to be delivered. After 14 days I contacted the company to ask where my item was and received the response that there had been issues but it would be there 'in the next few days' and then would be immediately despatched to me. I asked if it would be possible to get next day delivery given the delays but was told that this was not possible unless I paid an additional £8. A further two weeks later I still hadn't received my item and sent an enquiry to the customer service department, which according to the website, aim to respond within 1 hour. 3 messages later and 36 hours (!) after my first message I get a response saying that the item 'will arrive within the next few days' but that they have 'upgraded me to immediate despatch'. Given that this was the exact same answer I had 2 1/2 weeks earlier I instead asked for my money back . Again, no response until I had sent another 3 messages, all of them requesting immediate refund. The response? "Thank you for your refund request. I have passed your details t our Finance Department who will also send you an email to confirm this refund when it is processed. Thank you for choosing www.nigelohara.com." No acknowledgement of the lack of response or the fact that I specifically asked for the refund to be processed right away and NOT via their standard processes which are said to take 5-7 days on their website. AVOID at all costs unless you want to be out of pocket for a very long time!!!”
“I ordered a tablet from this company on 3rd June. I ordered the wrong item and cancelled the order within half an hour. I received a telephone call the following day confirming my refund would be processed within a few days. By 15th June i still hadnt heard anything, so emailed again to find out why i hadnt received my refund. I was advised the Finance department would "endeavour" to process a refund. I still havent received a refund, my last 3 emails asking for clarification on when i will get the refund and why it hasnt been processed yet have been ignored. Ive now had to report this as a credit dispute to my credit card company to obtain a refund from them. Terrible service”
“I ordered 2 bottles of Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce. Short version is that I have been waiting since MARCH ( it is now JUNE ) for it and still no bottles. Customer service assured me that it was due to arrive with them in next week ( it didn't ). I then had to contact them ( Always have to contact them first they never update you ) to which they told me it was now a discontinued product ( yet it still sells in every Abercrombie store ) then I was told this is untrue and I will be getting it shortly. THEN AGAIN I was told I am sorry it is due to suppliers that they cannot get it THEN AGAIN I was told no that was untrue and you will receive it shortly. This is OVER 3 months now and a complete joke in customer service. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME I never ever put bad feedback on anything but I am so annoyed with how I have been treated as a customer that I felt I had to share my experience.”
“Ordered a TV which was available to order but dispatch was estimated at a few weeks. It was cheap, so I ordered and waited. Date came and went and no TV! They don't publish a contact number and their live chat is slow to reply and fob you off. I got fed up of waiting and cancelled and requested a refund. They said this would take 14 days!!! 14 days later and I'm still waiting. I'll be passing this to my credit card company as fraudulent and that seems the only method to get my money back.”
“First time order with Nigel Ohara. I ordered a deep fat fryer and a toaster. Deep fat fryer took 2 weeks to arrive but was faulty and kept tripping my electrical trip-switch. I had to pay the postage for the return and it took them another 2 weeks before offering a refund or replacement. Of the toaster there is still no sign after 8 weeks of ordering. Slick website and a fairly good response time when contacted but all this is no good when products are faulty or not even available ( 8 weeks - come on).”
“I ordered some items on 21 May (21 days ago). The items were indicated as being in stock.
Nigel O'Hara never dispatched the items and were vague and deceptive about their stock and fulfilment processes.
Finally they proposed that a refund that I requested on 5th June (5 days ago) would take another 14 days to process.
When I opened a dispute with PayPal - guess what? An IMMEDIATE refund.
Having seen many recent reports of similar experiences from other shoppers on various review sites - some of whom are still waiting for refunds - one suspects that the company is in financial difficulties and should be investigated.

“I placed 5 orders (totaling nearly £1900) on the 07/05/2015 (I had to do 5 separate orders as their system won't let you put more than 1 discounted item in the basket using their "found it cheaper" option).
After much nagging (because my orders were just showing as "processing" for ages) I finally received 3 of the 5 items I ordered after nearly 2 weeks! The other 2 items (value of over £850) were still "processing", I complained about this and to their credit got a polite email & phone call explaining that they were very sorry & my orders were being discussed with their suppliers. On the 19th of May I spoke again on the phone and was PROMISED that the main component of my order would be delivered to them from their suppliers the next day, this did not happen & by the 22nd of May they still did not have my items. I asked for a refund and immediately ordered the components from another site. Within a few minutes I had a call back saying that my main order was actually dispatched on the 18th of may & I should expect it shortly, I was also given the tracking no.
When I checked this tracking no. it was actually the no. of one of my other orders that I had already received!
I called back and asked for an immediate refund, but was told that refunds can take between 7 to 14 days. I asked why this was & was told that there is a backlog of refunds & "when the funds are available" I would be sent my refund!
ALARM BELLS STARTED TO RING IN MY HEAD!!! If the money that I had paid them was "not available" to refund me, then how could they possibly have purchased my items from their suppliers? No wonder I did not get my items!
It is my humble opinion (as I cannot prove this) that this company is in financial difficulties & is using the money from new orders to fulfill old orders / refunds!
I finally got the refund authorized on Saturday the 6th of June and it arrived in my account today on the 9th of June.
NOTE: the refund was only authorized after several emails & phone calls explaining that I would take legal action against them if they did not give me my money back. The company had already BROKEN THEIR OWN POLICY (14 day refunds) and had BROKEN THE LAW (Distance selling act states that a refund MUST be given in 14 days).
PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS ON OTHER WEBSITES AS WELL, MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME SORT OF EXPERIENCE AS ME!

“I placed an order for a well known citizen watch which said it was ordered by request on purchase... I thought this would take a few days to order and be delivered. However, I ordered the watch on 09/04/2015 and after two weeks I decided to raise a support ticket. What followed was several more weeks of useless emails being sent to me promising that the watch would be sent as soon as possible.
I continued to "be patient" as the emails from the support team suggested me to do. I spoke to someone on the phone after they called 10 minutes before the company closed for the day... they couldn't resolve my issue and seem to be untrained. I am pretty sure a chimpanzee could have helped me more.
By the 22/05/2015 my patience had run out. I had waited for 45 days, yes... FORTY FIVE DAYS, and was still getting the same useless answer... "We are expecting your watch to be delivered tomorrow or the next day and we will send it as a priority, please just be a bit more patient"
I had received no update in relation to my order and every person that I spoke to via email and telephone was useless and did not help or provide me with an answer as to where my item was.
On the 22/05/2015 I requested a refund. I am sure you can understand that waiting for 45 days for an item you paid £290 for, is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
The date is now 8/06/2015 and I have still not had the refund issued. Nigel Slo'Hara has now had my money for TWO MONTHS!!!!! Are you kidding me?! This company is taking peoples money and then sending them on a wild goose chase.
P.s. They do not even have a number you can call them on to discuss issues, just a useless number which tells you to go onto their website and click on the live support button - which isn't even live support, its far from it and they take several days to respond sometimes.
