I booked with Opodo just from Cardiff to Paris. The return leg was with an airline I'd never heard of - Enter Airlines. I was given no information regarding the check in with Enter Air other than a booking reference. I needed to know which terminal to go to (Paris CDG is massive, terminals are miles apart) so rang Enter Air. Enter answer with a recorded message saying they don't deal with Customers direct and to contact my travel agent. I spoke to three people at Opodo, all of who simply put the phone down when they couldn't answer my call. Never did find 'Enter Airways' and had to buy a ticket elsewhere.

HORRIFIC SERVICE WOULD EVEN RATE ONE STAR, After having a flight cancelled only to find out by calling to get flight details I was told someone would contact me 72 hours. Had no response I called to change the flight 1 HOUR WAITING TIME EACH TIME. Travel agent then moved my flight home via singapore, I asked if this was safe for me to fly to as I am 12 weeks pregnant. I then found out this airport is second most dangerous to fly to with the coronovirus. I called Opodo to cancel as the stress of this all I wanted a refund which I paid an extra £130 to have CANCEL AT ANY TIME ANY REASON insurance to then be told it wasnt valid on cancelled flights ! Ok fine but I had rebooked a flight so how was this not valid I had a scheduled flight !!!! I have now been told I have to wait 90 days for a full refund 3 MONTHS !!!!! So I have paid all this money for what !!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM After reading all these reviews I felt incredibly stupid Please to anyone who thinks to book with this company please do not they do not care about their customers at all

The representative Sunny needed to be repeatedly told what to do. We booked and paid for 5 Business Class tickets all with seat preferences and the confirmation has come through with 5 economy seats and no seat preference. Very dissatisfied customer looking to take the matter further.

Booked flights for 2 people form Heathrow to Perth via Hong Kong. Opodo notified me of a major flight change and my flight from Hong Kong to Perth was put back 24 hours meaning I will have to get overnight hotel I purchased cancel for any reason and asked for a refund. Opodo have said tat due to a flight change they can not give me a refund. A total of 5 hours on the phone and nobody answers. Attempting to get the credit card company to reverse the payment. NEVER EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Stay away from Opodo if you want to have a reasonable experience of shopping/change/customer service. The app or website makes the purchase smooth and easy, but everything after that is a totally different story. I contacted Opodo 3 times regarding one cancellation. 1st time, I waited for 1.5 hours on the phone to be told that Opodo does not have access to make the change on my booking, I need contact the airline directly (Opodo 'kindly' provided me a direct line to the airline which turns out to be an invalid number). After contacting the airline, I was confirmed with the cancellation and the cancellation fee will be passed down to my card through Opodo, but the rest of the ticket fare will be able to be refunded, and will be processed by Opodo. 2nd time contacting Opodo days after receiving confirmation from airline. I stayed on line for 1 hour, Opodo had to verify the information back-and-forth and told me that, yes, they got the confirmation, but he cannot refund me and needs to transfer me to an internal specialised department and kept me on hold for 1 hour. 3rd time contacting Opodo, I was told again that he had to transfer to their internal specialised department (refusing to provide a direct line, or case id, or even the name of the department); plus, there is nothing can be done except waiting on the line. On hold for another hour, still was not assisted. By the time I sent this review, my problem is still not solved. I highly suspect the existence of such a "internal specialised department" and they just put people on hold until customers finally give up then Opodo can keep the refund.

This has to be the worst company in the world, they speak very bad English, pretent they don’t hear you as they pretend the connection is bad and then hang up... they really don’t help at all. This company only fills there pockets and as soon as you have an issue there is 0 help whatsoever! I will never book a flight with them again, very very very bad!

I've been trying for days to get my refund for the British Airways flight I booked to China with Opodo, I finally received a response via messenger. Opodo offered me £131.23 less for my ticket which I find confusing because after talking to British Airways who commented that I would get a full refund. It is clear therefore Opodo is with holding sum of money from passengers, in my case it is made up as follows: Insurance £99.00 not used because the flight was cancelled by BA. Service option £7.78 no service used flight cancelled. Text Service £2.90 service not used flight cancelled. Baggage tracking £9.00 no service used flight cancelled therefore no baggage tracking. Service Charges £12.55, I have no idea what this is for? I will never use this company again and I'm still in the process of getting my money returned. I don't hold out much hope for my refund. I was given the option to make a complaint via a link which is not a complaint option, it requests only the document number, email address and a request for a refund. The website withholds information deliberately, when and if you get someone to speak to, your are given the deliberate run around and when perfectly reasonable questions are asked you are treated as an idiot and then cut off. I find it hard to believe that this company will continue to exist with such a poor level of service, be very careful using Opodo services. I fully agree with the last review, "Not Trustworthy"

Not Trustworthy Booked 2 tickets to Manila. Received email confirmation and further emails regarding our trip. Even received airline booking reference. After 5 days have not received our e tickets contacted Opodo and then found out they had NOT booked our flights as the card had not gone through. NOBODY told us.

Avoid this company at all costs. Customer service is virtually non existent. They asked me to call and then didn't answer the many calls over 3 days. When someone eventually answered after 40+ minutes on hold they said they would put me through and they cut me off. I have tried calling as instructed for 3 days and they have still not resolved the problem.

You’d be well advised not to use Opodo - ever - unless you love stress. My flight to Beijing was cancelled by BA because of the Coronavirus and I because I had (unfortunately) booked via Opodo, I had to ask Opodo for the refund, not BA. This has taken many, many phone calls to their Indian call centre (best time to get thru is between 1am and 5am and even then I was holding for 53mins!) and I got nowhere...they put you on hold constantly and the phone call lasted almost an hour! I finally got verification that I would get a refund (less their service fee, which suddenly surfaced) after a messenger chat which lasted an hour and a half - because of mainly being put on hold. There is no doubt whatsoever that the 5* reviews on TrustPilot are scams. This company will wear you down in an attempt not to give refunds. Since mine was almost £3000, I stood my ground, but conceded the ‘Service Fee’ only because they wore me down. I will never, EVER book through an intermediary travel company like this again - I’ll book direct with the Airline. Take heed, you’ve been warned, steer clear and stay happy, you don’t need the grief they give - all the reviews on here are clearly real......take it from me. PS. I haven’t actually got my refund yet - they said it would take up to 90 days! PS -and don’t assume paying by credit card will help - they won’t do anything without written confirmation from Opodo that they won’t refund you - impossible since the call centres can’t Email!! Ridiculous!😖😖😖😖

Booked a flight via opodo on atlasglobal more than 3 months ago on 3.11.19 from london to kuwait. Flight was cancelled due to recent financial struggles of the airlines. Airlines doesn't provide any communciation/information on what they intend to do and what you can do to receive your refund. They don't respond to your emails. When you call them up, they say to get in touch with your booking agency (opodo in this case) and ask them for it. 3 months on, I've been calling both, atlasglobal and opodo. Opodo staff keep saying they have no information from atlasglobal and keep telling me to 'wait for more days'. They don't provide any proof that they are involved in the process or trying to get the refund issued. Honestly, my suggestion is to stay away from all turkish airlines (atlasglobal, pegasus). I've had many flights cancelled/delayed because of them. Personally I'll never be using opodo again either. Trying to save a few quid is always nice but no gurantees provided via third party booking agencies and you end up losing hundreds in the process. (Still haven't received my refund.)

DO NOT USE OPODO. IT IS A SCAM COMPANY. After I bought my flight, Opodo kept sending me cryptic emails telling me of a "major modification to my flight", which isn't for three months: "Dear customer We have been notified by your airline of a major schedule change. London (LON) to XXXXX OK (XXX) with Iberia Please contact us as soon as possible within the next 48 hours on the number below to discuss the best available option for you." But they won't answer the phone, won't provide an email address, and the chat bot is deliberately programmed to avoid proper questions, and when it sends you to an agent, the agent will never answer. I can only surmise it is a scam. I was on the phone for 90 minutes, before some jerk with a bad attitude answered 'hello' (not hello, welcome to Opodo, sorry for the wait, how can I help"?), then put the phone down on me. As for their stupid bot - forget it. It is clear this company don't want to talk to their customers. They will take your money and run. Talk to the airline direct. It is a disgrace. A bloody joke. Never using this shower of sh**e again.

Horrible customer service! Had booked two flights via opodo. Flight schedule changed for the first one and the other was cancelled. Opodo did not inform me about any changes. They also refuse to pay a refund from the flight that was cancelled and won't answer my emails.

Do not book through them. You will not get any benefit from their protection cancellation schemes. They will lie and deflect and likely won't refund you even if you have paperwork showing they already authorised it. They will bounce you around and even just leave you on hold for hours. Sloppy inept and just out to get your cash.

the service of this Opodo website is extremely bad, I am trying to refund the return ticket from China to London due to the bad virus in China, and even Tianjing airline(the airline I am flying) from China told me it is ok, but this Opodo company does not contact the Chinese airline itself, and asks me to contact Tianjing airline for Opodo. In addition, Opodo does not have enough agents to help over the phone, nor over the online customer chat help. I have to call/chat hours and still onhold and wait for help. Extremely bad service in this company, very disappointed.

Customer service is a joke, rang them for an hour on Facebook messenger waiting for an agent to speak to me for 3 hours. My flight got cancelled and now they're refusing to talk to me.

Stay away from them! I did not receive a refund from them, STILL after one month. I paid the extra to be able to change my flight if needed, which i had to. They charged me for the second flight (after originally already having paid for the first one) stating that I would receive a refund for the first one within two weeks. This never happened and I am still trying to get in contact with them to find out where my refund is! Trying to contact them is a nightmare as well... I have tried three times now and I am on hold at least 10 minutes each time only to be 'suddenly' cut off half way through the phone call. Do not even bother with them, really not worth the hassle!!! STAY AWAY

I paid for the option to be able to change my flight and then ended up having to change my flight. They charged me for the first flight originally (as expected) and then the new one i had to change to(as expected) BUT they stated they would refund me the original flight cost and still, one month later I have had no refund. I have called them three times now and still have not got this resolved. The waiting time until you speak to someone is over ten minutes each time and when you do finally get connected, the line cuts out! Still trying to resolve this, no luck so far! Appauling service and I would never book through them again! Also, they had added a random charge to the overall price of the flight, this was not mentioned in the overall cost when booking the flights in the first place. Stay away from them, not worth the hassle!
