I didn't get my refund back and there is no one to talk, just a robot. Please everyone, don't use Opodo!!!!

Due to the pandemic I had to cancel mine and my daughter's flight from the US to Kenya for august 2020. Then the airline also cancelled. I had booked through Opodo. For months, the status is that it is cancelled; any queries it says go to manage reservation, but there is no way to go any further than that. There is no way to contact Opodo either with a chat, a phone call or email. The flights were over $2000 and I can ill afford to sacrifice that money. I will never use Opodo again, and I am still hoping that something will be done so I get a voucher or a refund.

This is the most trash company ever. I booked a flight from them and had to cancel it pre-covid times. They told me it would take upto 90 days to get the refund. It has been 90 days + another 5 months. I have been informed that they have received the money from the airlines and have “initiated my refund” time and time again. I keep getting promises that I will receive the money in 5-6 working days but never get it. This company is a scam. They have literally stolen my money and are sitting on it for months. Never ever use this utterly trash company because they are just there to steal your money and not help you. The customer service is even more useless. They only thing they are good at is making false promises. I once got on the phone with them to complain about this nonsense and they even had the gall to hang up on me! Please never use their service. EVER.

Impossible to make contact,I have been trying to get a refund for my flight which was cancelled due to Corona virus out break in April 2020, now some 5 months later after trying on almost weekly bases I am still waiting.Do not use these scoundrels.

Never again will I use Opodo/eDreams for any of my travel bookings. The whole experience has been nightmare from start to finish. The so called customer service, who after 1.5 hours eventually have someone to talk to, then pretend they can't hear you if you start asking difficult questions Being lied to, promised call backs and told that a refund was not possible just added to our stresses. Opodo tend to offer lower prices for flights, however i strongly recommend paying a bit extra and using a company who care about their customers. A joke of a business who will never get even £1 of my money in future.

I hope Opodo goes out of business. They deserve to! They have been uncontactable by phone and they ignore emails. They are hanging on to the money I paid for flights, hotel and transfers for a long weekend in Dublin in June, cancelled due to coronavirus. They have made NO attempt whatsoever to refund my money - in fact they have ignored every attempt by me to contact them about it. This means they are retaining my money, and presumably thousands of other people's money, illegally. The government stated clearly that such cancelled bookings should be refunded. We are NOT obliged to accept unsuitable vouchers. Opodo are beyond despicable. They apparently have no decent business principles. And they are presumably holding large sums of customers' money for holidays which were never taken. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER book anything with this shameful and unreliable company

If I start writing a full complaint this will be a wall of text. Short version - been waiting 5 months for a refund and still can't get through to a real person!!! Unacceptable. NEVER, EVER, use Opodo. Their customer service is non existent and they are just trying to hold onto people's money (just look at their twitter comments). They have deactivated their UK Twitter, Blocked comments on Instagram, apparently shut off phone lines, and are holding onto people's refunds.

“Opodo is really a poor broker service. This is a big warning for customers. No coordination with their third party providers, poor and misleading information, and they shy away from their responsibility through confusing contracts. We arrived at 11pm at Palma airport in Spain with our Opodo reservation. A couple of other Opodo clients were waiting there too for the Centauro shuttle. After 45min we understood that the Centauro car rental office was already closed. We had to figure cab + accommodation, and come back with a taxi the next day to pick up the car, fight with rental who had cancelled the car because we weren’t there = this cost us a day and 300euros (more than the original rental). Opodo Customer Service was very cowardly. Blaming Centauro first, then us for not having checked the opening times of the third party provider. They also considered us clients of Centauro and not them, although we paid Opodo. Several emails later, they still stand for their sad opportunistic position. Worst experience ever. Go through suppliers directly, Opodo is really a scam.”

Warning Do not use Opodo they are thieves I canceled on car rental they did not refund me the money They say they did not see on their site that I canceled and I am one hundred percent sure I canceled so probably their site is broken and it is a good way to steal money from people

As per every other feedback report, Opodo have absolutely no understanding of customer support. I have telephoned, emailed, chat linked and used an independent legal interface yet they have still not refunded my flights from March 2020. They claim that they are waiting to get confirmation from the airline, however, I contactewd the airline directly and they confirmed that they gave permission for a refund within 7 days of the cancelled flights. Why do independent search engines still offer links to Opodo without linking to customer feedback experience so that people can be warned and choose whether to deal with this bunch of liars and cheats in the first place.

Excellent service I am extremely pleased with the way opodo conduct their business. I phoned up with a query and the very patient person on the other end of the phone talked me through it step by step. Excellent service opdo and also great value, being half the price of other companies including the airline

I had a bad experience with Opodo they cancel my fly in the last minute without refund I had to complain to my bank and take back my money they stolen money.

I have been dealing unsuccessfully with OPODO since 16th March 2020. i have contacted them no less than 34 times. Each time a different person dealing with my "Case". So I even rang the airline directly to get them to refund my flight money which they did but to the OPODO Card!!!!! Now the monkey business really starts. The customer "Care representative told me that they had received the payment form Air lingus and that it will take up to seven days to refund my account...that was 6th of July!!! still nothing. Lucky I recorded that last phonecall because now I am taking my case to the European ombudsman and consumer rights commission. absolutely outrageous carry on from this company!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Opodo, customer service is none existant, they have kept my money long after they said that they would refund. I have started chargeback through the credit card company and have raised a complaint with the CMA. All I get from them is the option to take a voucher. They should not be allowed to operate.

134 days later.... This is a joint review for both Emirates and Opodo. Both companies are in my opinion as bar as each other and don't care about their customers once they have their money. Myself and my husband both key workers, myself and staff nurse for nhs and my husband a supermarket supervisor were in Australia in March when we received an email from Emirates to say our return flight was cancelled sorry for any inconvenience. This inconvenience being stuck on the other side of the world with not suggestion of them giving is any support to get back to the UK. No contact number given, no email address and not one email from opodo about this cancellation. Our flight was Emirates airline but booked through opodo. Which I will never do again. We then spent the next week on the phone to Emirates and opodo. To get through to anyone took hours. Sometimes 6+ hours, listening to the most irritating songs for this long certainly did no good for our mental well being. When we eventually got through to both companies we would the be told by emirates it had nothing to do with Emirates or be told by opodo it had nothing to do with them to contact Emirates instead. The frustration of this was awful. We couldn't get anyone anywhere to help us. We continued to get passed from pillar to post. By this point the British government had made an announcement that airlines were to allow passengers to transfer to other operating airlines for little to no fee. Again another day waiting for Emirates to answer their phone. Explained this to Emirates and how qatar were currently the only airline operating for us to get home. Emirates uselessly stated that they would allow us to transfer to any airline but for POLITICAL reasons would not allow us to transfer onto a qatar airline flight. This is absolutely ridiculous. They care no amount at all for their customers safety and well being. We were desperate to get home safely. And with every phone call and day passing we got more and more frustrated, upset and scared. Both opodo and emirates have proven to be absolutely useless and their customer service skills are terrible. Once they have your money they could not care less. We eventually managed to get a flight home which we had to pay full for. So on the 2nd April we phoned opodo again to start the refund process. At this stage we were informed by opodo that Emirates have stated 90 days will be the wait for any sort of refund. So then began the wait for 90 days. We are now at day 133. We have since contacted Emirates who say again it's upto opodo. We have also contacted opodo on a couple of occasions, one of which we were told within 3 days we would receive an update of our refund. I was reassured this would definitely happen. SHOCK. No update within 3 days. So another phone call. Yet no further forward as they say they can't do anything until they hear from Emirates. So currently myself and my husband and £1500 out of pocket as we had to get our own flight home organised. If it had been upto opodo and emirates we would still be stuck in Australia with no accommodation, no money and no wages. I would advise everyone to avoid both of these companies unless you want to be out of pocket and feel very unsafe on your holiday. I dread to think how much longer we have to wait for any sort of contact or refund. But 90 days is now 133 days so let's see. Absolutely useless terrible companies EMIRATES and OPODO

My flight got cancelled by pegasus airlines and they refunded my money to Opodo and Opodo kept it. They ripped me of outright absolute scumbags, don't do business with people like Opodo you regret the day you did. Ripoff merchants for sure.
