i'm in kenya, normally import goods under a reshipping agent to the uk, who then ships them to me in kenya, bought item on ebay from seller in hong kong and had it sent to uk, seller used parcelforce, they received the package and held it since the 13th of September citing need to clear custom fees, as of this time i had severed relationships with my shipper (kotecargo), i contacted parcelforce asking whether there was a way i could pay for the duty, since kote wasn't willing to help, parcelforce said their policy barred them from accepting payments from me, and if kotecargo (consignee) didn't claim/pay duty package would be resent to sender after 21days. this was despite me proving that in fact the item belonged to me, they insisted on me contacting kote and request them to avail payment information conveyed to them via a letter, they might just as well have sent a raven or pigeon. it's only after close to 5 days of constant email correspondence did i manage to get the item reference number, that has allowed me to pay for the duty and get my item released. the manner in which this case was handled and the amount of agony it caused is completely hideous and an acceptable of such a company, the level of bureaucracy and indifference to customers is appalling. i really hope no one else has to go through this. guys, just walk and deliver your packages, say from hong to the uk yourself, i bet you'd encounter far less pain than parcelforce is capable of causing you. Extremely slow delivery! The parcel just sits in their depot for weeks without being checked! The parcel tracking online is of no help. If I can avoid using Parcelforce, I will! I've been waiting for a month just to receive my package and it still has not come!

Absolutely useless! Paid over £30 for Global Value service to deliver a small parcel to Cape Town. Was advertised as a 7 day turnaround. When I tried to track the parcel using the tracking number they sent me, I was told that there was 'no tracking for this service'. I phoned them and was passed to the international desk where they gave me the number of the Cape Town depot. my recipient has tried to call them several times, but there is never any answer. We have now waited for over a month and the parcel has still not been delivered. I tried to claim but the claims process is extremely complex and obviously designed to make it impossible. I will never use this company again.

My sons uni boxes should have been with him on Friday, it's now Monday evening & they seem to still be @ the Depot. He has no duvet, sheets or pillow, no clothes left ,no cooking utensils etc. Operators were useless apart from Ashley in Aldershot" who went on a mission to get me answers from the Bristol Depot. Never again, this is a Mickey Mouse operation unfit for purpose

Item held in by customs, paid customs fee and Parcelforces 'handling fee' which is about £11 and they offered a delivery date. Waited in all day and no delivery. Waited next day no delivery. Threee separate calls and eventually delivered a few days later. No compensation for wasted days and when complaint made, the only recourse is an apology by email. Pathetic response

I got a call from a rude lady called Lizzie/lizzy, who was very arrogant asking for my details since I requested for a redelivery/pick up for my parcel. That lady just said "whatever" or however you pronounce your name, whilst collecting fees for redelivery.

Stressful and unpleasant experience.. Luckily my parcel wasn't lost nor stolen or damaged. Nice and polite assistants and driver but... The problem was with the lack of information about the delivery time and its progress. My parcel was supposed to come on the 12 of September. For the whole day I was literally standing by the window, waiting to see the car, since the parcel was extremaly important for me. However, the parcel did not come. I had no phonecall, no information/card left by the driver. At 9PM I read the update on the tracking website, that my parcel is back in the depot, because of problems with the address identification. Next day I called the office and heard, that the previous day, the driver "run out of time" - so unprofessional. I got the parcel on the next day. If there is too many parcels and the delivery cannot be done, then the customer should be informed. If you can see, that you have too many parcels in the depot, inform the customer about it and promise next day delivery or even later, but be sure to have it done. It is better than giving some false information and causing people lose their important time.- Lack of the respect toward the client. The lack of contact with the driver is scandalous to me. Even the assistant in the office whom I called said, that they have no way of contacing the driver. I believe that Parcelforce Worldwide has a chance to become a trustworthy company. I suggest starting with improving the communication within the firm. So basic, yet so crucial for the prosperity of every firm.

How this shambles of a company is still in existence baffles me. Never, ever have they delivered on time. When I complain they try to fob me off with their usual waffle and excuses. The Bodmin, Cornwall branch is particularly bad and that's saying something! A total bunch of muppets!

Read the other reviews: a totally rubbish company which should be shut down! I wish I could give it no stars! Antique print, well wrapped, arrived to the sound of smashed glass. Even the delivery driver said it needed to be marked " Damaged on arrival". Glass was not simply cracked or broken, but smashed to smithereens. Parcel must have been flung around or jumped on. Even the picture was damaged. Will try for compensation, as suggested by delivery driver, but am sure they will quote the fact that pictures/ antiques/ glass are exemptions. Difficult to find something that isn't an exemption! However, will add to their growing pile of complaints - why should they keep getting away with this appalling level of service?

The Parcelforce driver caused £500 worth of damage to my car by allowing his trolley to strike it. They offered me 20% contribution to damage repair. I had to threaten legal action before they paid up in full. Bully boys tactics!

Usual shocking service. I get a lot of deliveries from all the usual delivery companies but only ParcelForce seem to never be able to find me. Same rubbish today...got a text for delivery between 8.10 and 9.10am. 9.30 came and went.. no surprise. Looked at the Tracker and it says "insufficient address". Rang them up checked the address...all fine no problem Turns out once again they couldnt find me (aka didnt bother to find me). Rang them at 9.30, gave explicit instructions and my phone number (yes the one they send texts to) and was told it was coming later. Now 5pm...and rang them again and it's back in the depot. They refuse to delivery tomorrow (as it's Satuday) and that is an extra charge so wasted another day sitting at home for nothing. Parcel Farce more like!

i missed a delivery and went on line to arrange a re-delivery. took the morning off work, but guess what? the parcel didn't arrive! i rang the depot to be told"you are better off ringing, the on-line service doesn't work that well" the advisor i spoke to said they would deliver the following day, and i arranged for the parcel to be left with a neighbour ( who waited in especially to receive it). but of course the parcel never arrived! i again rang the depot to be told " sorry the driver forgot to put it on his van", but we can deliver tomorrow. i informed him that i was at work, and wouldnt be able to take the delivery, so arranged with him for it to be delivered saturday morning. i was told they would waive the charge for the inconvenience. and lo and behold the parcel has been delivered this morning (friday) to my neighbour who luckily was in! this company is shambolic, and don't have a clue what they are doing! i have been informed that the parcel is very badly damaged, and i am hoping the contents are still intact. i suppose i should be grateful it has arrived at all given the total ineptitude of this company. on-line retailers should take note, as any offering services using parcel force will not be getting my business! try Hermes they are much better!!

""I paid over £50.00 to get armchair delivered. Parcelforce managed to break all four legs off it. They scratched them, a piece of the wood on one of the legs was missing. The customer on the other side refused it. Parcelforce just said sorry, no compensation for furniture damage. No refund for the delivery. NOTHING! Basically, i paid to have my armchair damaged and my client annoyed.

""Absolute disgrace of a company. No communication and they make mistake after mistake, resulting in a 48 hour delivery service taking a week! I thankfully wasn't the one paying the extortionate rates for this service but I feel very sorry for the seller who did.
