“Dreadful delivery service. Postman are dumping parcels in the communal area of my apartment block and saying handed to recipient. Or attempted delivery but noone in - I'm waiting indoors in lockdown for the delivery. Or, delivery made but nothing there. Just dreadful and pot luck whether I receive anything! This must be costing companies a fortune in missing parcels and deliveries.”
“It's all very well and good blaming corona for poor service but when all your competition is doing a great job and expanding on their business and you offer delayed service with absolutely no help at hand for queries about your tracking system which does make sense or work properly. Absolute joke of a service! Going to have to massively improve soon or there's no way you'll be able to compete. “We have been having trouble with post / parcels going missing since before the lockdown , this has been going on for near on 1 1/2 years , when complaints go in the manageress of the sorting office says “ everything is running fine “ Bootle and Seaforth Office and we are meant to accept this . We have not had any post again for over a week , waiting on 5 parcels and 10 letters , now definitely think someone is stealing . I have also done test birthday cards myself and they have not arrived , do they think there is money in them ? I fo appreciate how busy they are at the moment but this is now getting beyond a joke . “I have had 3 , 1st class signed for parcels go completely missing over the past 5 months. Now another SND delivery no tracking movements for 24 hours on site. I think this service is totally on the down. Charging for a service they do not give and this was sometimes before virus kicked in.

“I have used Royal Mail many many times before covid and at the start and we’re usually great but now it sadly has become a shambles.i feel sorry for the staff as genuinely having a hard time but when things like you get a we’ve got it Langley and all post tracking sites saying processed in destination country uk,that tells me that it’s passed through customs and simply has to be sorted from hwdc to local depot and then to me,however parcel still at Langley with no updates 7 days later 21 may to date!and have another 4 sat in customs,2 wich are reship cod they didn’t arrive,and now it’s damn near impossible to speake to anyone.please Royal Mail just say your parcels will take an average of 3 weeks to get to you instead of maybe possible delays!!!!!i empathise I sympathise,I lost my father to pneumonia and now mother is diagnosed with covid aswell so I get the seriousness,I work for north Devon council doing the recycling so trust me I understand the problems,what I don’t get is the burying head in sand wich is why you have gone from a five star to a one star service to me!RN154304762NL is the one you claim to have so if you can update me in anyway I will happily up my stars!i have tried all other angles and got nowhere!very sad and like say heart goes out to your workers,but it feels like you are giving up.keep safe”
“I am currently dismayed by the Royal Mail service as it’s so hit and miss!! I have so many expected deliveries after tracking daily I know they have been handed over to Royal Mail to still not have them 3 or 4 weeks later and still waiting!! That’s not even counting the ones that have never arrived, and I’m not talking a small percentage of parcels taking long than they should at the moment it’s probably about 50% of my expected deliveries.
I am actually disheartened at the poor level of service received nowadays, I’m not a person who usually writes reviews but in this case I am that fed up with it I’ve purposely searched for somewhere to write my experience to let others know.
And yet there are a certain number of other parcels that land in the U.K. and I have them 48hrs late, so well done on those deliveries but unfortunately they are very few and far between, a shame not every delivery receives the same level of high service then I’m sure the U.K. recipients may be satisfied and happy with the service levels.
Sorry Royal Mail I am just very disappointed at present and don’t like being a moaner!!”
“I have post item with Royal mail. Item only says dispatched to destination country. When I call destination country, they say item has not arrived. 2nd week and is on same status. They telling me to claim refund after 20 days but they dont understand that I cannot afford to loose such important documents. I will spend more than the amount I will get refunded in cost. And their customer service always hang up halfway the conversation and they give you same answers without making any effort to find my documents for me. As for now I rather receive my item back and deliver it with DHL. I have learned my lesson. This is second time this has happenend to me with Royal mail international service and is my last. Totally forgot about my first experience 2 years ago when item took 20 working days to arrive. Poor customer service and no clearance at all and am having sleepless nights over this. Still hope it arrives or is returned back to me asap. I received documents in 2 days from DHL, and 2 weeks on, still no information. This is pure torture. It is 3 am now as am writing this.

“This company has caused nothing but stress over the years! It is so outdated, slow and useless that i don't know why it isn't just shut down and let the couriers take over who are 100 times better! They have better delivery rates, better tracking from start to finish none of this we can onnly tell you where it is when it has been delivered rubbish! I would say about 75% of my parcels failed to be delivered and every single time i am in the house waiting for the thing!!! I actually pay people extra on ebay etc now NOT to use royal mail. Disgusting, greedy, lazy, outdated, joke of a company this is!”

“I bought an item from Amazon and it was a large package which cannot be delivered through the letterbox. Amazon gave me a timeframe that the item will arrive ON 29th May (not BY 29th, so I wasn’t expecting it any sooner. Yesterday (23rd) I heard knocks on the door but I live on 2nd floor, wasn’t in the right state to open the door and there is a tenant downstairs. I thought it’s for sure not for me. I am very strict to open myself for my items because the neighbour downstairs is not a decent man and he tears the packages out of curiosity and narcissism. Just now I saw an email that the item was delivered yesterday and rushed downstairs to find it torn and sniffed into. The item itself wasn’t damaged but the fact that someone with despicable behaviour does with you what they want is very unacceptable and humiliating!!! “Not sure how Royal Mail is still in business! They are consistent at being bad, the latest debacle involved a 48 hour delivery time but will now be at least 120 hours due to the fact that they sent it the wrong distribution office. Its not even worth complaining because they never do anything about it.”
