“What the hell is going on with Royal Mail. Totally random IF you get post at all. Have been waiting over three weeks for a few ''First Class'' postage deliveries (and address has been correctly confirmed). No doubt sitting in a bin at some sorting office never top be seen again. Excuses blaming the virus that has been with us for months just doesn't hold water. Overpriced and ridiculously inefficient company - its laughable they want to add the service to come and pick up parcels now”
“Five days, and a "Large First Class" letter still hasn't made it 140 miles from North Lincolnshire to Liverpool. The postage cost me £1.15, which is a complete rip off as well. It would have been quicker to cycle there and hand it over myself.”
“Was given RM 48-hour track and trace ref number but it is now past the notified delivery day/time and all the tracking shows is the date/time it was initially received at the receiving depot - nothing else whatsoever!! I do not call this 'tracking'. Useless.”
“Paid for "Signed for 1st" over a week ago. Tried to track and trace no joy. Online service is a joke, Rang customer services numerous times waited 30 minutes hung up. Tried text number bit messages bounce back not delivered. This is no way to run a business. Royal mail are drastically cutting services and jobs but still excepting money from customers. Is this not extortion? Online reviews tell the nightmare stories. Must all be down Covid I suppose???”
“I paid for "signed 1st class tracking" at Post office over a week ago. No tracking information available yet. Website a joke if you need to complain. No answer on customer service phone line. They are obviously continuing to take money from people whilst drastically cutting staff and services, Nice cash cow???????
Courier company next time.”
“Literally never had a good experience with Royal Mail.
They advertising on their website "Track and Trace - Track your Item Check the progress of your deliveries" but when you going to check where's the hell your parcel is, it tells you delivery information will be available ONLY when the item delivers, if your parcel got lost? tracking numbers can stuck there for months! with no updates or information what's ever!
Also make sure never loose their receipts or else you never see your refund, even if you paid for tracking!
Useless people, company and service!”
“Literally never had a good experience with Royal Mail. Had to pay upwards of £30 of customs fees (can't pay in advance, can't have the postie knock and ask you to pay so you get your parcel when it arrives).
Almost never knock before they post a "not at home card".
Sent numerous cards with first class stamps that have never arrived. They do not deliver on time.
Takes over 10 hours for them to even deliver their parcels from the main mail centre in the city, to the local mail centre (in the same, small city), just so they might be able to be delivered on the day you paid for.
Have had several parcels left on my doorstep in my shitty neighbourhood most of which were nicked and had to wait double the time to get a new parcel.
All of this is probably due to excess work loads that are now being put on employees meaning they don't have time to double-check letters, find a safe spot for packages or even knock on the door. Privatisation hasn't done them any favours.”
“Absolutely useless, delivery due thru 24 hour track on Sat 24th, notified out for delivery and has yet not turned up,tracking service doesn't work, can't speak to an operator, I've had better service and less hassle from other crappier courier services”
“Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed must be a joke, right?!
I was informed it was coming but was told to try and track my parcel on the day of delivery.
The parcel needs a signature but if no one is in it goes to the depot. The depot is open for about 2hrs a day which means I will have to join the queue on Saturday morning .
Why not leave it in the shed and lock it!! It’s not the Crown Jewels. But then that would be a special delivery and not another Royal Mail rip off!!
Our normal postie is brilliant and Hermes have overtaken everyone.
Where’s my guarantee then?”
“I had to send my pasport to dvla I ve paid 2 Times for Special delivery and during return Royal mail delivered my pasport and my ID under wrong adress. I tried to call them and they are swing me that they don't Tell me where it was delivered. They Lost My Documents !!!!!! I dont recomend. Avoid”
“Special delivery before 1 is a joke. And waiting at home just to find a card saying we missed you, because the driver didn't bother to knock on the door. Wasted my day waiting and the next day because i had to go and collect it. And complaining goes on deaf ears. Many times over. They should not employ this people. I hope they go out of business. They don't deserve to be in this business”
“These guys are a joke. They are beyond slow. I’ve been waiting weeks for first class domestic parcels to arrive. I went to the sorting office and they said that the delivery person for our building is off sick so we won’t get any post until he’s back! How can this even happen. It’s taking over 2 weeks to deliver a first class parcel from amazon and elsewhere. Awful service.”
“Waiting on very important documents & packages for over 2 weeks now, most of which were sent 24hr tracked delivery & still nothing !! Simply cannot contact them verbally & all you get back from a complaint email is the usual drivel. All other delivery companies are delivering fine & within there promised time scales. Royal mail are so embarrassingly poor I simply wouldn't even give them 1 star !! AWFUL”
“Utterly incompetent, and corrupt in covering up their incompetence.
They quote "it's in our regulations" at every opportunity, but their regulations are self-serving to excuse their atrocious service behaviours.
A 48 hour parcel delivery service took 12 days. They left a missed call card that had illegible handwriting, so I couldn't use the redelivery option; so I had to enter the complaints system, which brought me to the victim mentality and a plethora of regulations based self-serving excuses as to why their failure is not their fault and, because of their regulations, I was not entitled to any refund of the already high postage cost that I had paid in good faith...
I cannot give zero stars, otherwise I would.”
