SHAME ON YOU ROYAL MAIL . I live in Edgware, my business is from home and we depend on our mail to run smoothly, Royal Mail is far from a smooth operation. We get our normal mail at 5pm each day and Special Delivery at 3-4pm, Such a useless service to say the least. And i don't have time to claim for every special delivery that arrives way past its promised delivery time, A shocking service. PLEASE remove the word ''ROYAL'' from your tittle, your not fit to use this Word in your operation.

Seems they have 2 services running now, there's , "we'll deliver it when we want" or 1st class recorded, then there's the other sercvice, "We don't give a F*** " , that's 2nd class recorded, all blamed on CV19, it takes 8 days to get a 1st class letter from Wales to England, the same sendef then sends me a similar parcel on a Saturday, 2 nd class , I get it Monday, I send that person a package 2nd class recorded, 4 days that includes the weekend, he returns that parcel, sent early Monday afternoon, 8 days for 2nd class recorded, thrn obviously the red and white tape that clearly says "FRAGILE" must be written in secret code , it's thrown over a 6ft high back gate because my daughter took 5 secs too long to answer the front door, no wonder this country is in such a state

Extremely poor service clearly didn't even bother to knock on the door or ring the door bell, been home all day waiting and what a waist it time the tracking is after watching it all day and still says it's not even out for delivery and it's now 4pm yet this ticket which was put in my outdoor letterbox says an attempt was made at 10.30.. Now it says on the ticket it cant be picked up till next working day. Absolute joke of service and will not use again. Sort out your tracking and knock on the actual door because quite clearly you cant be bothered to walk down a drive.

Too much trouble to walk around a motorbike to access the letter box so thrown a parcel delivery card on the drive. How difficult is your job 🤔

Payed the extra money for Signed for service as the item was a tablet p.c Item never turned up, the tracking history only shows what time it was posted, at which post office Shocking service, you think signed for service gives you 100% delivery confidence, but not with royal mail

I post between 15 and 30 items at Large Letter rate every day for my business. At the start of the COVID-19 I was concerned that there would be delays but things were much better than I expected. Now in July I am finding that items are mysteriously going missing or taking 2 weeks for 1st class post. It is a shambles and starting to ruin my business because I relay on feedback for my good customer service. I have heard horror stories from Royal Mail staff about how they are expected to work and that the Royal Mail are ignoring low value items and giving priority to Parcels where they make the most money. It is a Disgrace. No point in blaming COVID-19 because the first 3 months nothing went missing now daily I find things have "GONE MISSING" why is this happening.

I have shipped more than 100pacakges from Japan to the UK between late-April and early-June, using economy airmail which has no tracking. So far none of them has been delivered to my customers. I don't know what heck is going on. They are bad really bad in service. Somehow, airmail with tracking numbers has delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. I have lost tons of money because of this long-delayed. Royal Mail is the worst.

When i Phone for a Re- delivery, an automated robot comes on and asks me for my address, problem is, it doesn't want to hear my address, (ie the number 28) this has been going on for years with Royal mail, no matter how many times i say 28, (My door number) it comes back and says 38 or 48 or 58 so on so on, this is obviously been put there in place to drive customers insane, and to not inconvenience themselves with redelivering my parcel, another global company with too much power over it's customers.

They lost one parcel mail gone missing Dear John - Thank you for contacting us about an item of mail sent to you reference 2104797630000000943F7. I am very sorry to hear of the problem you have experienced.  Every item of mail is important to us and our priority is to provide a good quality service at all times, but sometimes problems do arise. We contacted the Delivery Office Manager regarding this item and a search and investigation was made.  Unfortunately if you have not received the item since you first contacted us then we must consider the item lost   On this occasion I am not able to accept your claim for compensation, as the service used was a prepaid service and all claims must be made by the contract holder.  I recommend that you contact the sender in respect of this matter as they may consider sending you a replacement or refunding any payment you have made. Once again please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience and concern that may have been caused. NOW THIS tracking said i would recieve it today waited in all day Sorry, your item went to Prescot DO in error, so we re-routed it immediately. More information will be available as it travels through our network. They have been really bad during the covid19 crisis while other parcel delivery firms have stepped up, never use royal mail again

I am currently waiting for a parcel that was dispatched First Class ten days ago from an address in London, only a couple of miles ago. Had I crawled there on my hands and knees, and back again, it would have taken a fraction of the time. I blame myself for not having chosen a more reliable delivery option as the 'Royal' Mail is practically useless these days. A parcel of drugs for my dog took 41 days to be delivered. Had I waited, the dog might have died. As it was, I re-ordered and paid a premium for courier delivery. My local delivery office is right around the corner, two minutes away, but apparently is barely capable of actually delivering anything. It's scheduled for re-development as part of the wholesale asset stripping of the Post Office since privatisation, so perhaps this lack of service is deliberate:we won't miss the Crampton Street Sorting Office when its gone because it is of no use to us, now. How this diabolical organisation retains its Royal warrant is beyond me. It brings the Monarchy into further disrepute.

VERY poor deliveries for some years. 1st Class typically takes 4 days. Unusual to get a next day delivery in my area (Northumberland). Some items take 2 weeks or more ,(e.g. bank statements) by which time they are completely out of date. Only recently able to get on-line via a phone but awful signal (rural area) means still being reliant on post that isn't being delivered. Paid extra for recorded delivery to send an important financial document - it disappeared for 2 weeks holding everything up. Previously complained when an urgent cheque vanished for over 5 weeks. Got no reply and had to get the cheque cancelled and organise a different method of payment. Pandemic is now making the situation much worse. In last 6 weeks I have had only 4/5 deliveries and these are arriving in bundles of 10 or more letters in an elastic band, every single one of them weeks out of date. People are being hugely impacted and financially detrimented by the pandemic but the last thing they need is to incur more financial penalties for missed deadlines they didn't even know about until it was too late, sent by other large companies who are not accepting phone calls, and sticking to their usual procedures leaving the general public to pay the price. This is a national scandal and there are many people who may not recover from the financial blow who might otherwise have just about survived it had the Royal Mail not delayed vital papers so much. This has happened to me and the complaints procedure is so long and drawn out with little chance of success. There are millions of people with no access to the internet due to cost/signal etc. who have to depend on a service that seems to have a "don't care, take it or leave it" attitude. I have always believed the Royal Mail should be a quality service for everyone and not be privatised, but I'm beginning to feel that anything will be better than this as I am fed up (understatement! - can't repeat what I would really like to say,) and distressed at constantly having to take the brunt of the effects of none delivery such as financial penalties, more expense due to delays, people not believing that the post is so slow etc. I don't think Royal Mail is fit for purpose any more. The recent fine imposed on Royal Mail for failing to deliver 90 per cent of 1st Class the next day indicated the target was missed by 1.5 percent. Presumably this was averaged across the country because it doesn't reflect the delivery in my area where next day deliveries are as rare as hen's teeth! By contrast my family recall going to the post office in the village and posting a birthday card in the 1960s (it was considered important to take the trouble to post it then) and it had been delivered second post (what's that these days!) before they got home. In the 1980s we had a post lady who delivered by 7am without fail for 20 years. Now we are lucky to get someone shamble up like they're out for an afternoon stroll, usually looking scruffy, and deliver things from weeks ago somewhere between 12 noon and 3pm (helplines are closed from 4pm at present with huge queues to get through so no chance of dealing with urgent issues) and the latest posting time is 9am (7am on Saturdays) from my local box, meaning the letter won't go till the next working day unless people travel to another box. This is really not fair on e.g. older people with no tranport. They can't even keep the letters in their bag until they reach the door - I got one letter that was so wet through I had to tease it apart with tweezers and hang the pages up to dry before trying to read what was left and not smudged or obliterated. If the Royal Mail was a private company doing this I think it would have collapsed years ago as people voted with their feet and used a competitor (although, to be fair, UK Mail is no better and do not respond to complaints at all). We all know we have to make allowances for the effects of the pandemic but come on Royal Mail, if other delivery companies can do it why are customers who are already very vulnerable having to put up with this?

I find it a really good service except for one BIG flaw: it does not let you cancel/redirect a parcel while it is shipping! This is particularly bad when you are victim of a fraud and want to stop the shipping! Not only I have lost a very valuable item but a person with bad intention will receive my parcel and will acknowledge my address, which could put me in serious danger! The only way to stop a parcel is to have a court case! Which is impossible in the space of a day! And the police was not able to do anything about it! I was in shock when royal mail told me they could not do anything about it. Also, I had waited 45 minutes on the phone before they answered!

Have a weekly subscription to the weekly economist magazine and the post is so unreliable now. It’s supposed to be delivered on a Sat every week, it turns up on a Monday now or later, this week and it’s Thursday now, not at all. All I get from the postman is people are off sick and so the post suffers. Fed up with the Royal Mail and their pathetic excuses.
