“My RTIC cooler just under 2 years old and has been only used on (2) 1-week vacations. The cooler zipper broke in 2 different places on both occasions. A friend also owns an RTIC cooler and his zipper is also broken. We both decided we are going to purchase Yeti from now on, since RTIC doesn't' stand behind their products. Even though the one year warranty has expired, this is clearly a manufacturing defect and they should stand behind their products. I could have purchase 3 less expensive cooler for the price of this one, total waste of money.”
“Zippers on RTIC soft pack coolers are not made to withstand the wear and tear of use. I have purchased 2 soft pack coolers so far and will never purchase another again! First one the whole zipper seam came apart after a few years. The newest one the handle broke off after only a few uses. It was under warranty and after filling a claim to have it replaced I was denied. Instead they sent me just a replacement handle. In order to replace the handle I needed to use pliers to pull the metal zipper piece out to remove the broken one and put the replacement hand on. Wouldn’t this just weaken the actual zipper?! Instead, I used a keychain ring to attach it. DO NOT BUY RTIC PRODUCTS! They are not overbuilt, and obviously they do not stand by their products or warranty!!!”
“I wish i had the space to tell you everything wrong about my RTIC experience. Never again will I buy an RTIC product. Their website said their bottle I purchased was dishwasher safe, but when product arrived underneath their sticker, it was engraved Handwash only. I had already paid for customization. They sent me a new bottle explaining they had dishwasher safe ones they would send me, only to receive the same Handwash safe again. After realizing that it might be my color choice that was making it handwash only, i asked if they would honor free customization on a new bottle i purchase since i already paid for customization on a bottle that was useless to me since i wouldn't be using a bottle that was handwash only. They said NO, the only thing they would honor was 10% off a future bottle. They have the WORST customer service. They accused me of trying to get a free bottle from them after i explained i wanted to return the handwash bottles and i would PURCHASE a new bottle. I only asked for free customization, that's it. Unbelievable. i spent so much time on the phone explaining and they wouldn't call me back when they said they would call me back. The list goes on.”
“I bought an rtic 45qt cooler from the dealer I bought my truck from, and since day one it would not keep I've for more than 2 days even after doing the proper prep, when I contacted them about getting it warranted they said they only warranty if bought from their website, so their product is so bad they won't warranty it even if you have a receipt, you can go to Walmart and buy a lifetime cooler for a fraction of the cost that will keep ice for a week, I cannot recommend ever buying an rtic product.”

Our 30 soft pack cooler was out on bow of our boat for quicker access and the sun released the glue that held the top to the cooler (see pics)! RTIC Rep. Amairani S said, to bad the one year warranty is over, buy some 3M 5200 glue! REALLY? UNSAT RTIC for a $119.00 product! Why don't you have China use the 3M glue in the first place when they produce them!!! “The service and warranty on these supposedly high end cooler is horrible. The zipper on the soft backpack cooler broke after only a few uses and the service department could find the apropriate product and kept insisting that the product was out of warrenty. I will not buy another RTIC product and I will recommend that everyone else stay clear of this complany and there products.”
“We ordered a new cooler because one of our friends said they are the best and keep things very cold. And yes they do we went to the Outer Banks for 5 days and only had to put ice in it the first day when we got home from our trip there was still ice in the cooler. This cooler is great for the beach, the pool, and even for hunting. Highly recommend this brand!”
“Was gifted a gallon jug 3 yrs ago. Loved it until I lost the lid. Well turns out they no longer make those lids so now this jug is completely obsolete. I emailed and they told me to call customer service to request the lid who informed me that they don't have any. Seems crazy that something is completely worthless only after 3 yrs and you cant get a replacement part. You can get replacement parts for an oven from the 70's. Guess they don't care about replacing parts. They just want you to buy more.”
“Six WEEKS after returning a $240 cooler & accessories after only opening the box, TWO weeks after calling Customer Service and being assured they received the return and my Visa would be refunded within 5 to 7 days -- I'm still waiting for the refund. Do I have to call YET AGAIN for a response? If RTIC is short staffed in the summer, please hire up. I got this as a gift that didn't work out, but never again.”
“I also have the soft sided cooler with a zipper that failed at the same spot as the ones I see with negative reviews.. I've had mine for over 2 yrs with very limited use.. this defect should not occur. I've seen many reviews with the same issue so I do believe it's a Manufacturers defect and should be replaced..”
“Bought multiple products. 2 big cooler, coozie, ice packs and a rack for the cooler. Most are good. But the warranty on soft cooler stinks. The customer service Felisa is unreal . I will not but an other Rtic product. Or ever recommended it. Garbage

Bought a cup online and the picture of the customization was completely different than the product I got. They make the cup look darker online, but when you get it, you can barely see the customization on it. Told customer service but they don’t care, they will not help you. They will say they are they say sorry for the inconvenience and there’s nothing they can do. They won’t be getting my business again! From the looks of all the one star reviews here everyone has the same terrible experience with their customer service!! Don’t give them your business they don’t deserve it! I am trying to upload pictures and their website will not work in. It was a nightmare, trying to customize the cups on their website as well. It’s amazing that this company isn’t out of business already!!!!”
“I have had three of the soft sided coolers and all have come apart. Two of them had hardly been used. The third was good for years before falling apart. All three split at the seams. Rtic would not replace because it was over a year ever though it was a Christmas gift bought earlier in the year.”
“The zipper on the soft cooler is very poorly designed. We purchased a 30 and a 40 can cooler. The smaller one the zipper came off track. Called Rtic to see if they could fix it and was told no it was out of warranty. My sister bought a couple as well and the same thing happened to both. Do NOT buy an Rtic soft cooler! “Zipper broke and zipper area is bleeding colors from cooler. Looks horrible and zipper is worthless. Used as directed w the lubricant. They deny the 1 yr warranty that comes w the cooler. They blamed me for the colors running bc of salt water. This color has never seen salt water. Just junk. Should have saved $75 and bought a Walmart cooler. Same quality.”
“I purchased 2 1 gal water jugs, all customized, and spent a little extra, but I did not see any option for Fonts, as it was small and away from the screen, easy to overlook. I tried to call in and email to update the Fonts only, but nothing that would add any extra money or not, but RTIC cannot do anything once they receive the money and not even call the manufacturer to let them know a small change before the jugs are even processed. Chat(Bri) was horrible and condescending, but the call was good, but still nothing they cannot do but make you miss the discount because they have to refund (5-7 business) and then once I get the money back I can re-order and lose the memorial day discount and stated that this is all on me. horrible customer service and unable to make any updates, even if the order was placed two minutes prior, which I find unbearable and wanted to warn people about buying from RTIC.”
“I owned 1 of every size soft cooler including 2 each of the 12-can and 20-can and one of the hard coolers. Four of the soft coolers either "came apart" in the lid area of the zippers got permanently stuck. I went to their HQ in Houston and was not looking for free replacements, just some sort of concession on purchasing replacements. The BEST they could offer was 10%! :) I am done with RTIC forever. Poor support of what seemed to be good products...for a while! Moving on...”
