In Nov 20 we purchased a 2 seater and 3 seater Rockcliffe Chocolate Plain sofa with Chenille material from SCS in Kempston. After afew hours we noticed there were dark marks on the seat cushions where we had briefly sat. We immediately discussed it with staff at Kempston SCS and were advised to contact the SCS aftercare team. We followed their aftercare instructions but the sofa was still in the same condition and the dark patches were getting worse. In Jan 21, an SCS technician visited us to check the damage. He said it was the material pile, he brushed the cushions, turned them over and GUARANTEED that it would be normal after a week. Well, after a week we turned the seat cushions over and the "magic trick" hadn't worked. So we now have visible dark patches on both sides of every seat cushion. We contacted the aftercare team again, providing photos at every stage to highlight the problem, but a few days ago they advised that there's nothing else they can do. No compensation, no replacement seat cushion covers that we could use when family or friends visit in the future. So we are stuck with sofa seat cushions that look terrible. We spent months looking for a sofa that was the right height, size and easy for us to get on and off of (we are 78 and 79 years old). We are hugely disappointed and want to warn others not to buy a sofa with CHENILLE material. Theres a problem with the material pile but SCS won't tell you because they want to sell the sofas!

Ordered 2 x 2-seater sofas. One in silver, one in pewter coloured fabric. After waiting way longer than the 10 weeks delivery promised our sofas were delivered - only both were silver. We had to contact them numerous times to organise the swap. Another 10 week plus wait for the sofa to be changed and hey, ho, a different coloured sofa arrived, but not the colour we ordered. Now we cannot get any kind of response from Customer Services. Avoid SCS like the plague.

If i could give no stars i definitely would. Ordered light grey/dark grey leather sofas, taupe and brownish col delivered but no t the style/design i ordered. No stuffing/foam; n places very lumpy bumpy. I did get the correct carpet i ordered to go with it however defo did not go with sofas delivered took leather swatch to carpet section to get closest match. Collected sofas eventually full refund given after 6 weeks carpet looked like it had been down years where; t had been walked on , shadow pile all pile flattened and no shadow whatsoever came and collected carpet last wed awaiting refund. Ive asked for compensation for all the stress anxiety and inconvenience i had no sofa or anything to sit on for 8 weeks until could get a new sofa, ive suffered with anxiety and depression since having a stroke several years ago i was left disabled from this so this was a hugh problem for me .This company pushed me tomy ultimate limit and almost toppled me over the edge they are now trying to say wont compensate me has i am no longer in contract with them , i still am has not got refund for carpet yet and i asjed for compensation before they came and took carpet back now need to get new carpet. Avoid like the pandemic .

Would never use SCS again. They talk you into insuring your goods not telling you its only accidental damage the insurance company will pay out on. We are pensioners and bought a 2 seater sofa and reclining chair at a cost of £1400. The beading on the sofa and chair has started to split. The seat cushion on sofa is scuffed. Insurance company wouldnt do anything cos it was classed as wear and tear not accidental. Bearing in mind we are pensioners. Theres no children jumping all over it. So the furniture we thought would last us years is gona have to be re newed in the future but i definatly wont be going to SCS.

Sofa and recliner received 19 th Jan this year,seating (pads) nothing like the website display or the one tried out at waterlooville store,have chased them up,got home serve visit,report put in 12 Feb 21 Had to chase up only to be told no further action needed,they are having a laugh,our seat pads are flat with slight rise but website ones are nice and high and firm,DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FIRST AND LAST TIME WE WILL USE THEM

Ordered suite in September 2020 for Xmas delivery which did not happened. Promised alternative dates which did not happen. Now telling me April delivery 😒

Minus 10 stars. No carpet delivered or fitted as it had a hole in the middle by fork lift truck. Just told today that the second one has disappeared with Alladin. Carpet paid for. G-Plan suite apparentley sitting in their distribution centre . Strange because I was told that had gone into liquidation.

Bought 2 sofas last January. Due to covid we had to wait until August for delivery , immediately saw a problem with seating in one of the sofas, contacted scs they sent an 'engineer 'out he said it was due to my husbands weight hes 6ft 2inch and 14 stone not overweight at all, we laughed and sent him on his way. After many a email I engaged an independent furniture inspector.agan scs rejected this .we then proceded to get the money back .Scs refunded the money and collected the sofas last week.I also requested the furniture report money back and they have refunded that also. All I can say is do not give up . Persevere hound them if you have to .you will get yr money back. We did buy a carpet from them at the same time and that is lovely. Shame about service and disgraceful customer service attitude.

I would NEVER buy from scs again I had so many problems after paying for my carpet and sofas Delivery and fitting dates are never stuck to I was informed the carpet I originally bought was out of stock after buying it, I ended up waiting months for my carpet and sofas to be delivered. The carpet fitters was rude and I ended up having to pay extra as they charged me to shave down each door as the carpet wouldn’t fit. The quilty of there goods is terrible I bought one of there elite carpets and it has gone totally flat and doll. It’s terrible and they refuse to do anything about it once they’ve got there money

SCS would rather save a few pounds then repaired a fault on your sofa that was there from brand new. Warranties are worthless and customer services are the same.

A nightmare from beginning to end - forget 4 year interest free credit - they don't bother to check, they just say no. Delivery dates are way beyond the date given in store when ordering. There is no apology for late deliveries. Couches arrived with the wrong cushion pads - how can one couch have one firm and one soft cushion pad on the same piece of furniture? It has taken 6 months from ordering and paying for our furniture to be the finished product as originially ordered. AVOID SCS - shop elsewhere!!!

I ordered my sofa on Boxing Day, to then be told it would not be delivered until April. I then asked to use my 14 day cooling off period, to be told that wasn’t an option on an online purchase. How else during Covid could I buy when the shops were shut?? I have since been advised twice that they can’t even keep to that ridiculous timeframe!!

If I could give a zero I would. Absolute disgrace. My 83 year old mother paid outright for a suite in October she was told delivery would be December 11th. She put her old suite out thinking the new one was going to be delivered then. She is still waiting! After several other dates given she has now been told it will be March. She has nothing to sit on and Scs do not care. They were quick enough in taking her money. She has had every excuse from them. We know of other people who have had delivery's that ordered after she did. Shame on you Scs. Even after saying they would assist me with looking into the suite and several lengthy conversations with them they have done nothing to help me. Myself and my sister have spent days and days trying to resolve this issue and Scs are having none of it. They are quick in taking money of customers KNOWING they are unable to provide the goods. If you are wise from my experience think twice before you give them any money. None of my family will ever use them again.

Bought a carpet in September made a complaint 10 weeks later as the carpet pile had gone flat. They sent someone out who took pictures and agreed that the carpet shouldn't look like it does. The end verdict was scs said there was nothing wrong with the carpet and it's getting worse by the day. 10 year guarantee on it means nothing. If you look on a Facebook page called "scs complaints" you'll see lots of people like me that scs have screwed over. I wish we had never walked through the door and urge anyone thinking of shopping there to go elsewhere. The products they sell are not fit for purpose and we are now left with a carpet that looks worse than the one that had been down 10 years. PLEASE AVOID SCS AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

I've paid deposit £1000 at 8.11.20 for £6000 worth furniture and been told that have to wait up to 12 weeks to be delivered,the one who done all the paperwork assured me the 31.1.21 will be the latest. 6.1.21 received an email and they're asking apologies but they can't deliver the furniture because there's a delay like short on staff and no materials. 21.1.21 scs phone me up and they give me the next delivery date at 31.3.21 but they can deliver me the kitchen table and chairs by 27.1.21 and I said not happy at all to receive a phone like this. They don't care about our loans,finances or credit scores. The worst furniture services in uk is this SCS. At 27.1.21 the kitchen table and 6 chairs been delivered and SURPRISED that all of them are made in China and not Uk how I've been told. By the phone I was asking for refund or discount because I can't wait 5 months for my furniture to be delivered and they said we can't help you and you'll have to wait.

Terrible overpriced Chinese sofas. Look good at first but sadly don't seem to last. Customer service is like running a marathon. More obstacles in the way than on an Olympic track. Please save yourself the stress and go elsewhere

Do not buy anything from scs bought leather chair and two seater sette cost over £1600.00 had it 16 months colour pigment coming of where rest my head on arm chair back aftercare team say it is natural oils from my head told them if thats the case the colour pigment is not fit for purpose as when you sit in a arm chair you naturally rest you head on back cushion scs not interested takes ages to get through to anyone on phone Not interested in resloving problem Just try to tell you its your fault and want to charge you to repair it DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!
