Ordered carpet then told not on the system and we will get refund as it’s there fault then one of the staff members had put on the system don’t let customer cancel order so a different member of staff cancelled it and now we have to see Wednesday if we can get our refund absolutely disgusting service avoid everyone they are not helpful at all we shall be going elsewhere for our carpet

If I could rate this company as zero stars I would. Please avoid at all costs!! I rue the day I went into my local SCS store in Birstall, Leeds - I have suffered with nothing but stress and anxiety since. The level of customer service is truly appalling. Staff genuinely don’t care about anything other than their own commission. Staff lie, patronise and fail to contact you when they promise they will. You have to chase them constantly for answers that you never get. I could go on and on about my shocking experience but I almost can’t put it into words. We ordered carpet for stairs, landing and 3 bedrooms only to be told by fitters on arrival that one of the bedroom carpets was missing. Nobody from SCS had for warned me about this and the fitter told me the operations manager was ringing me that day to explain which she never did! After finally speaking with someone in store (I believe only cos I had initiated contact) I was told not to worry as it would be fitted today so I booked another day off work only to be told yesterday the carpet had not been delivered again. despite several emails and calls and a visit to store today (because no one returns your calls) I am still none the wiser where my carpet (that is for my mildly autistic son who is now sleeping on a mattress on a cold floor with no carpet) is or when it will be fitted!!! During my visit to store today when I challenged the sales rep on the level of customer service I’d received he told me he had gone ‘over and above’ for me! Obviously my jaw dropped at this ridiculous statement. I will never buy anything from this company again and intend to tell as many people as I can that it’s a company to AVOID!!!

I have no problem with the carpet I purchased. But I wasnt made aware of the hidden costs .I was charged £25 for a can of carpet glue ..also had to have 2 doors taken off by the fitter and was told it would cost me to have them plane them off and hung again .I wasnt made aware of any cost in store .one of the fitters was extremely rude on the phone to my daughter in law I have waited 4 days for a call back off an area manager .and still not recived .that in my opinion is bad custmer service

pleased with my furniture...but the carpet was faulty...badly fitted causing problems with other flooring that it merged with. The customer service set-up is shocking. You are passed from department to department as nothing is joined up . You cannot ring the stores and nobody responds to emails .i would never recommend buying anything from there purely from a customer service point as they have no power to act on any enquiry they just email the department and they then do not respond. The CEO of this company needs to take a long hard look at his business and staff it appropriately and not cut corners in service especially after you have ordered and awaiting delivery. It would be much better dealt with in store and not in a call centre .

I went to scs and I was pressured to buy a sofa and bought one then in the same day I wanted a refund as I payed half the order and they said no even though it’s only been a couple hours. When I brung my kids with me they started shouting at them because they were looking at sofas. Staff is very rude and Im still waiting for a refund. This was yesterday.

Ordered a sofa and two chairs on 28/6/20. We were told it had a twelve week delivery time. All we got at the time in the way of paperwork was a receipt slip for payment. We contacted them on 15/7/20 and asked when we’d be receiving their terms and conditions. They then emailed the terms and conditions the same day, stating that they’d sent them before and advised us to look in our junk file folder, which we did but nothing had been sent their either. When reading their terms and conditions, lo and behold the seven and fourteen day amending and cancellation deadlines had expired. I feel this is sharp practise and would be interested to know how often this happens to other customers.

Scs does not even deserve 1 star. Ordered a sofa online in april they keep messing me around with delivery. As of today I still have not had my sofas. I have taken time off work to be available for delivery, have not heard anything on the day so called them and surprise, surprise it's not ready. All lies from different people.

The staff in shop were very helpful and pleasant, and the two guys who delivered our furniture were spot on from phone call with time of delivery and getting settee's into the house made it look so easy, full marks to them all thank you xx

we bought a three piece suite, in february and understand a delay would affect our delivery which should have been may 2020,but covid 19 delayed that,we waited till july,before going back to the store to find out what was happening as scs did not keep us informed what was happening.we went to white city store in old trafford,manchester,where we met the rudest ,ageist employee ever,he was arrogant, and because we are in our 70s talked down to us, and treated us like we were THICK. gesticulating a the shape of the world to show us where the pandemic is.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE OR COMPANY, and refused a refund,never been as insulted as much in my life by his attitude,I have2 sons who would not speak to people like he did, mr and mrs j loftus

Was promised scs would uplift damages sofas which I received on the 6th of February this was due to take place the Thursday the week lock down happened but only after I was instructed by my lawyer to inform them they had breached my customer rights and informed them court action would be taken I was informed by scs an arrangement would be made to uplift the goods as soon as the business opened again despite waiting to hear from them I then waited over 2 weeks to go into the kirkcaldy store to see why I had not heard from them about uplift they said they would get back to me that was 2 weeks ago and guess what no further forward. Was told when I visited the store because of coronavirus they couldn't uplift from my home this is utter rubbish as I have just heard from the suppliers of my new sofas they can deliver them to me at a convenient time to myself. So if anyone is thinking of going to scs for furniture I advise them to think carefully as if you have any complaints and try to get through to customer service you better have plenty of time on your hands as 4 months later I am still waiting for them to get back to me. This has in no way any reflect on the staff in the store who have always been helpful but in their own words their hands are tied as far as dealing with complaints That is now all done from their head office which quite fankly is a joke you can't even get through to leave an e mail .this company is a joke and does not deserve you even contemplating giving them your money.

had no satisfaction from scs after sales over a faulty new Lazyboy £1100 leather settee, they didn't want to know, the seat seams were badly mis-aligned by 30mm and they advised "bash the seat squab forward with both fists really had to bring it forwards, the technician who came within the first month did this and the seam moved but just reverted to it's former postion, he did it a second time but the same happened. the advice from him was to keep bashing it, at 75 years of age I haven't got the sort of bash in me to do it as hard as he did. I pursued the claim for that and a sagging seat filling problem for over 12 months with absolutely no held from SCS, their CEO or Lazyboy, I would certainly never use either of these companies services or buy their products again.

Over promised, under delivered! Took my order and my money for bedroom carpet, underlay and fitting. Order placed on condition of guaranteed fitting date to fit in with other works. Fitter arrived and realised they'd supplied the wrong gripper edging plate. After 2 days of contact, the Manager at the Birstall store contacted me to apologise, confirmed the correct plate was available and rearranged fitting for 2 days later. Guess what.....fitter contacted me to advise they still hadn't supplied the correct edging plate! I'm now still waiting for a call back from a Manager. Needless to say, I'll be cancelling my order, demanding my money back and will take my business elsewhere.

What a disastrous experience. I ordered carpets at the London Beckton store. Gave measurements and told to wait 3 weeks. I remove my carpets all ready for the new to discover SCS got my measurements wrong. Had two rooms fitted on recommendation of fitter being told they will easily fix and reorder the right size. That’s where it all goes wrong! Went in on carpet delivery day (Thursday) to discover if the carpet manager is on his day off you’ll have to wait till he is back in to move forward with anything. Good luck to customers if he is on annual leave. So then speaking to him (Dave the carpet manager) I was promised on Friday I’ll have the right carpets by the following Monday or Tuesday latest but momentarily they will put the wrong sized carpets down to reduce the inconvenience they have caused. Expected really as it’s their mess. But no. No update or contact on Monday to confirm. If you call SCS you’ll be on a very long hold and if you’re lucky you’ll have someone to talk to. I couldn’t get through to anyone on Monday but got lucky on Tuesday. After no response from an email I got through to the store. I’m now told no temporary carpets but I should have carpets on Monday or Tuesday. I thought ok. Mistakes happen but no... Tuesday late evening I get a call saying they can’t get me the carpets at all. No compensation or anything will be offered for inconvenience as the agreement is cancelled once the order is cancelled. So I asked for my money back.. They say they will only refund me once they remove the carpet already installed. So then third trip to the store this time to argue with them as clearly being nice has not got me anywhere. They are refusing to give my money back now. After so much time wasted I get promised to have temporary carpets again till 10 august when they will have my right size. But it doesn’t end there. Wednesday I am called they are coming to remove the existing carpets as they are not putting temporary carpets down. I explain I have a 2.5m wardrobe fitted after carpet installation as anyone would order their furniture after carpet installation right? now would need manpower to move but I’m told they will just cut around and take what they can reach so they can to be able to give my money back. I am speaking to the carpets manager and request to speak to someone higher as he clearly is making false promises. Harpul is above but again no luck. No contact only this Dave. Now am now left with two rooms with different carpets as I couldn’t have the wardrobe moved and to somehow get away from this disaster and get some of my money back at least. I now am waiting for carpets from elsewhere after being delayed another week by scs adding to my inconvenience. I’ve got bare wood with two young children and only an apology. SCS has now given me the remaining two room carpets at a discount which now looks ridiculous as it will be different to the rest of my house. I am literally stuck and regret from the bottom of my heart in making this order from SCS. I’ve literally been left with no carpets and two rooms with different carpets which I have been made to pay for due to SCS mistake. I’ll have to look at this carpet and remember SCS messing up the look of my house for many years to come. To all customers reading this. AVOID SCS! Save yourself from this heartache. These guys don’t have a clue in carpets and what customer service is. I’ve known SCS to be a sofa shop. I should’ve trusted my instincts. SCS really needs to stick to selling sofas. The service I got was literally disgusting. Go to a carpet specialist or your local carpet shop. You will be doing yourself a favour. To top it off I was told I would my refund at 11.30 over the phone but had to go in the forth time to get my refund as no one was answering the phone. Scared at another false promise at 4.30pm went back to the store and managed to get some of my money back. Absolute disaster.

Visited Dundee store 1st July to browse for a sofa and was refused entry despite there being no customers in store! Was told I would have to make an appointment to browse?! Will not be buying from them!

The worst ever uncomfortable suite we have ever bought. Even my guests cant get comfy and continue to slide of it. The service was very good when we bought it but we havent contacted them over this matter.

Avoid This Company At All Costs !!!!!!!!! ScS do not deserve any stars at all. Bought my 3 seater sofa in November 2019, and after a few weeks a small hole appeared at the back of safa, which got worse over time, with the wooden bracket protruding through. I complained to this company over this faulty sofa and was told by email that parts would be ordered and will be in store on 27/6/2020. I am waiting for the repair man. ScS are selling shoddy goods and ripping people off, left right and centre. Its insane how this is still allowed to go on. If you are reading this please do not buy anything from this company. Also, the reviews on Trustpilot are not genuine. I made the mistake of purchasing sofas and carpets from SCS and my problems started from there. On delivery of the sofas, I noticed that they were way undersized from what was advertised and looked ridiculously small in my living room. I measured the space in my room to make sure the sofas would fit so knew they were the wrong size. I measured the sofas and to my shock, they were way smaller than what they should have been. I contacted SCS about this after finally managing to get through to them by phone and they sent a technician out. He agreed they were the wrong size and said he would pass this on to SCS. SCS didn't get in touch with me so I contacted them, then to my shock, they said the report shows there is nothing wrong with the sofas and they will be doing nothing about it. Then the problems started with the carpets, I purchased what I thought was good quality carpets, underlay and grippers but straight away the carpets were excessively shedding. Obviously carpets shed when first laid but the shedding of this carpet was ridiculous. I thought that this would eventually stop but it just got even worse. The shedding eventually resulted in holes appearing in patches in a lot of different places on the carpet. All you could see was the backing of the carpet, it looked a really bad mess. The carpet that was taken out to be replaced was in better condition than the one SCS fitted. I phoned and emailed SCS so many times but they did nothing, so I phoned Citizens advice. I was advised to write letters stating my consumer rights which I did but SCS still did nothing about the sofas as they said there was nothing wrong with them. They did send a woman out to look at the carpets, she said they had a manufacturing fault and SCS will be back in touch but surprise surprise they never contacted me back. I also sent in photographic evidence to SCS and the finance companies which were Ikano and Creation but they did nothing either. I then decided to make a claim with MONEY CLAIMS ONLINE as why should I pay for faulty and misdescribed goods. I made a claim online which cost me £180.00 and waited for a response from SCS. I must say SCS replied to my claim quickly but still had the cheek to dispute the claim, so I took it further and the courts arranged a free mediation service. A mediation lady phoned me on an arranged day and spoke to me and listened to my case, she then spoke to someone from SCS. After all, this SCS agreed to take away my sofas and cancel the finance. They also agreed to cancel the finance for the carpets and reimburse me for the payments already made. I also stated I wanted my £180 court fee back which SCS didn't mention but I also got that back. SCS also damaged my property delivering the sofas and I got awarded £150 for that also. It has caused me nothing but hassle dealing with this horrible company which is why I have wanted to leave a review so that others don't make the same mistake. Please, if you are in the receipt of faulty or misdescribed goods don't let SCS fob you off and keep your money, do as i did and file a claim against them with Money Claims Online, yes you will have to pay for this service but you WILL get your money back as SCS know they're in the wrong and will fold eventually. They are just hoping that you will go away and give up. SCS are breaking the law by refusing to give refunds for faulty goods and they know this, so file a claim with Money Claims Online and get your money back, it's easy to do, I did it online and i'm so glad i did.

Leather, electric recliner was damaged when delivered. 5 emails and photos no response, from SCS Contacted Revolver - SCS offered to send someone to repair my brand new chair! They have now agreed to send me a new one - in September (it was ordered in January) Trying to contact them or get a response was hard work.

As I was we were ordering a new suit a customer was irate and complaining about their poor service and told to us not shop here, I wish we had listened. Delayed due to covid unavoidable finally got a call with a date but later in the week got a message changing our delivery date so that meant 2 days off work. Delivery arrived with only 1 of the 2 settees,I got in touch with SCS and they said I had been made aware only one sette was coming which was a lie because I wouldn't have accepted half the order. The other sette came a few days later damaged. SCS said a technician would be in touch within 5 days. Still not heard nothing 3 weeks later Will never use them again. Excellent from the delivery staff.AVOID THIS COMPANY
