Ordered and paid for a carpet 1st September 2021, promised fitting in 4-6 weeks. I rang them after 6 weeks and was told they'd forgotten to order the carpet! Told another 4-6 weeks for fitting. I rang after another 5 weeks and was told the order was with the supplier and that they'd ring back in 2-3 days to confirm fitting. I heard nothing from them! I rang after another week and was told they'd only authorised the order the previous day and hadn't ordered the carpet yet! They said they wouldn't get the carpet until 7th January 2022 and wouldn't give a fitting date. We gave up at this point and got a refund. I wrote to Customer Service at their head office and haven't even received the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Avoid this company at all costs. There are no positive points at all. Everyone I spoke to was very dismissive and had no concern at the appalling service they delivered - it's obviously what they expect.

Terrible Service - Avoid this Company!! I called staff to arrange fitting and was told carpets were in the warehouse and I needed book my fitting asap. I took the day off work to accommodate this request as the house is a rental property. I called several times on the fitting day (which takes forever, as noone answers the phone) and waited in the rental property until 5.30pm as I was told the carpet fitters work late. The carpet fitter didn't arrive. Noone from SCS bothered to call to rebook, explain or apologise. I called to rebook for 10 days later - Again, noone called to confirm the fitting or give any information. Without the carpet fitted I had to wait before the tenant could occupy the property. Avoid this company, the service is terrible!

Worst ever purchase of my life. Brought 2 & 3 seater sofas. Delivered in January, by April called them out, as the material on bottom and bags had gone baggy. No where near enough stuffing in backs. Homeserve came out told me nothing wrong. Told me take each cushion off backs & bottoms and whack them into shape. Should you be doing this on 4 months old sofas. I’m disgusted with them. 9 months on they are worse. Sent photos on contact form again snd nothing back. I’ve ordered 2 new sofas from a proper furniture shop, coming in January. So I will be getting rid of them 2 piles of complete rubbish after having only 1 year. Says it all really.

Ordered carpet and sofa in May and because of Covid production issues was given date of Aug Sept for delivery. Ok with that. Chased for updates several times and bearing in mind, customer service are working from home, they were helpful. Was informed that sofa was available September but said I wanted carpet fitted first. Carpet fitting date arranged for October 15th and sofa 18th. Carpet arrived and fitted, all fine. Fitters did excellent job. Really excited about delivery of sofa due to arrive 18th….. Delivery did arrive, but…. It was the wrong sofa, totally different model and colour. I was offered the opportunity of using this item until my order could be completed, as in back to manufacture process, but due to the amount of time which had elapsed since the order was placed in May and still not correct, …. I asked for a refund and this was received within 4 days. The Manager kept his word. I have placed an order with another company and due date is February, I accept Covid is still playing a part in the lengthy lead times…but it’s local and I can talk directly to the store. My tale of woe is not one of poor quality but of sheer incompetence and the inability to be able to speak directly to the store to sort issues arising. Cute prices and glossy advertising need to be backed up with assured delivery dates of the correct items. The staff both instore and online deserve to be given daily updates from head office to enable them to do their job effectively. Unfortunately…. I would not recommend this company to anyone due to my experience.

Use this company at your own peril I ordered 3 bedroom and 1 stair carpet in April 2021 the bedroom carpets were fitted on June 24th but the fitters said they had sent the wrong size stair carpet so it would need to be re ordered after several weeks I had heard nothing so I went into store it took a further 3 weeks before they acknowledged the problem and then reordered the carpet 6 weeks after that I got a new fitting date waited in all day eventually got a call saying fitter had been held up but was on his way he said would not take long as was only flat lay for a bedroom when I told him it was a stair carpet he said he could not fit it as he had no time or cutting plan.a couple of days later after trying to contact them by phone I again went to store complained and received another fitting date which was Saturday 30th of October same thing happened no cutting plan and not down as a stair carpet so he could not fit after again not being able to contact them by email or phone I went back to the store to be told that after speaking to me the fitter had wrang the store and resigned but had not handed back the carpet. so there was nothing they could do the girl emailed 2 different managers on my behalf and said they would reply in 48 to 72 hours its been 10 days and still nothing and to add insult to injury because the order had been flagged as shipped I have now started paying for it I will be back in store in the next couple of days but I am also looking at the legal options it should not have got to this but I don't know what else I can do. you have been warned. if you feel the need to write a similar review in the months ahead for appalling customer service or broken promises you will deserve everything you get don't be a mug like me there are plenty of good retailers out there so please go elsewhere

Our expensive Grey glitter carpet has been down only 18 months and is in a shocking state, pile flattened, glitter non existent, - called SCS to have a look, sent someone down about 2-3 weeks later and he said its ok and how it would be (was a nice lad in fairness) The carpet needs replacing!!! - they must think people complain for nothing Atrocious customer service!!!!!!!! I am now getting carpet replaced by a local firm I will NEVER EVER EVER use SCS again - cowboys who sell rubbish and treat people with no respect

Worse customer service I've ever experienced! Afer waiting 6 werks for a coffee table to be delivered and assenbled, the delivery guys weren't able to assemble it & damaged it whilst trying, so it was taken away & a new one re-ordered, on the proviso I didn't have to wait another 6 wks. After many phone calls & being in queues for ages I was eventually given another delivery date - 2 wks after I was told it was at the warehouse! Was given a delivery slot the day of delivery, & when it got to more than 2 hrs late I made yet another call, & was told they'd broken down! More than 4 hrs late the delivery men arrived & tried leaving without assembling it, & told me they didn't have time to do it!! I said I'd paid for it to be assembled, so after some arguing they agreed to phone their boss, who said they had to assemble it. They said the box had been taped up & when they opened it, it was the same damaged table that had been returned 5 weeks earlier!!!! For the 2nd time I was left with no table & instead, hundreds of polysterene balls all over my floor!! I then had to make numerous phone calls, with X saying Y had to tell V before W could give me a refund of my money, which SCS had had for 12 weeks!! Who would've thought just wanting a coffee table would be so stressful & still not even have 1 at the end if it all! I'd never ever purchase anything from SCS again

We where promised our sofa delivery would be mid December. Just got an email from them saying it will come 14 th January 2022 . It sounds like all there products are made abroad and not in this country. (Same on you ) They are trying to blame the shipping companies. Why make a promise they can not keep . I will be cancelling my order and making a show when I go in the shop to do this . KEEP WELL AWAY I will also be cancelling the carpet that I've ordered off them to be fitted day before delivery of suite.

Scs are the worst company, who has text a review following my partner giving them a bad review to say they don’t come out to houses to see if there couches fit nooo you employ staff who don’t know the product even though we were told it comes apart he fails to say that even though she reckons she didn’t anyway stick your couches we have two coming before Christmas

A company can be all glitzy and have a fab sales team. The can keep in contact with you by email to remind you of delivery and fitting. But if they then let you down with fitting and delivery after months of waiting and preparation for the day, it is all for nothing. After weeks of waiting for a delivery and fitting of my carpet they did not even have the decency to let us know they had overbooked. Only once we had been left waiting, not being able to get through to the office and being cut off we had to go to the store and wait for 1 hour while they unsuccessfully tried to resolve the issue. Got to wait again now without a stair carpet. We have a suite coming from them as well. I am not filled with hope.

Have been in an ongoing dispute for a year now.first sofa delivered,snapped in half,took numerous calls and visits.replacement of same sofa had cushion that wasn't even sewn.visited store,new sofa,diff design picked,double price in July.phone call on day of delivery to safe damaged,wait another 10 weeks.phone call 2 days ago asking WHEN we would visit to order sofa,seems shop forgot about my last visit.paid nearly £700 now off my bill,in process of asking to cancel and get all my money back,watch this space....

When we ordered our 3,300 pounds two seater and three seater leather couch we were told by the woman who dealt with us it comes in bits and gets put together in our second floor three story house we have been waiting from June they turned up and it does not break down it’s a fixed unit now she denies saying it to us both but she dam well did we are without furniture and now been told they can get someone to take it to bits and charge us 300 pounds the cheeky pigs even though the delivery guys told us they had another suit there on there van that won’t fit and by the stars you scs have got your not worth one disgusting treatment see how this unfolds

Had a carpet fitted today, looks nice but some damage has been done to my cupboard doors, SCS said they are not responsible as its down to the fitters....they provide the fitters....I contacted them and was asked if I still had some paint as I could repaint it. My room was done by a professional decorator.....I paid £75.60 for fitting why are SCS passing the buck....afterall I bought my carpet from them and would expect perfection from start to finish this was not the case

Five carpets ordered early August, paid for in full. Expected fitting date was 10th Sept, which came and went without contact. Each week we were told "I promise it will be next week" but they never called and we would have to chase. Finally three carpets came in and we were told we could have those ones fitted, as we'd now been without carpet for several weeks. However instead of arranging it the store manager called and said we had to wait, you guessed it, "one more week" and he "promised" the other carpets would be in. They weren't. He eventually agreed to a split fitting. Another three weeks of "just one more week" from the store manager, along with some very poor behaviour from said store manager. We finally emailed to say relations had broken down and we would be approaching our bank for a Section 75 charge back as they refused to refund and had not supplied the goods. We were then referred to a head office complaints resolver. She admitted the final carpet had only just been made and should be ready for ir transport from Belgium. The carpet which the store manager had said "was refused because it wasn't in its full shipment and had been sent back to the North Sea" was magically found. Within 10 days all the missing carpet was installed, although not the tidiest. It was an awful mess, caused a lot of stress and until Head Office got involved we didn't get any where. Extremely unhappy at spending more than two months without carpets, being constantly lied to by an over friendly manager and having to constantly contact SCS. I would advise everyone to buy elsewhere. SCS are shoddy scam artists and if they think they can get one over on you they will.

We bought corner sofa delivered end of July within 3 weeks the arm was broken. I got up from sofa using the arm next thing there was a bang upon further inspection a technician came out 6 weeks later & the wood had cracked. His report was accidental damage & wanted to charge me for repair. I complained and they said a senior technician agreed with 1st technician although he never came out to inspect it, so how can he possibly agree. There is no way it’s accidental damage as I was just getting up off sofa it is obviously defective. Will NEVER EVER & my family and friends buy from this company again they are a disgrace!!!

We paid £2200 for sofa and £250 for extended warranty. Manager said they can not repair it but can offer £400 and collect the sofa. Any advice please?

Having promised my carpet would be in for today the 4 th of November I've had no word to say that my carpet is in now for delivery this is my 4 th carpet since June the first two came damaged and the third one was the completely different carpet I chose wrong colour and it was the most thin thing you have seen the manager in the store ordered the wrong one I have paid for this shoddy service by S C S and I expect my carpet before Christmas

I had Bought a sofa for over £2400, It had given me 10 year guarantee for leather, structure and spring. Plus I had bought 5 years accident damage policy for extra £300 within three years time of owning the sofa, I cannot even sit; All springs have came out from the bottom of the sofa, inside fabric torn, the structure has changed as well as the leather texture has creased. I claimed the sofa through insurance and they have stated all these problems are not covered within the insurance policy. There was no benefit from the insurance policy if it did not cover the damages. Very cheap quality sofa and can not recommend to anyone unless you want to waste your money.
