Picked up brand new car today 13/09/23 from chelmsford branch collection date was decided in advance finance agreement was signed 5 days prior to collection On day of collection Have to wait 4 hrs to collect the car after 4 hrs guess what only rear mud flaps were fitted, not even noticed by sales person who was suppose to hand over the car When I asked to see the sales manager guess what there was no one in the branch to speak. Guess what after waiting over 4 hrs mud flaps fitted, keys were just handed over drove home and to my surprise wheel locking nuts were not in glove box & boot parasol shelf missing Just disappointed with pathetic service by Steven Eagell, Pathetic service and I am sure there customer service will never get back to me after writing negative review and writing email to them

Just wanted to advice potential buyers of Toyota I would highly advice people to avoid Steven Eagell Toyota Wolverhampton, here the sales and management have a tendency to say yes to everything but when it comes to collecting your car don’t expect it to be all bells and whistles once you have walked out of the doors, the sales team tell you things that you want to hear but avoid factual technical information about the car you are buying. This is our Third Toyota and we picked up our car in March from the Wolverhampton showroom and the car isn’t anything like we was promised and like the previous cars we had we bought this on the basis that it was exactly the same but with a couple of upgrades. We have been back and forth ever since picking the car up since March 2023, few weeks ago we spoke to the general manager who was very understanding and put up his hands saying that the issue was on there side and he will help us resolve it, we asked in plain simply language can you email us across what are you willing to do to rectify this issue as we don’t have any idea what you can offer, he nodded away “yes yes it will be sent across by the end of the day, two days later still hadn’t heard anything sent a chaser email apparently he had sent it but we didn’t receive it all he responded with was if you can email how we want this resolved and he can suggest that idea to people higher up, which clearly shows how much he was listening and till now we are still waiting. Our advice to others looking to buy from this showroom please avoid and do not give 10 rating on reviews or surveys they send you before you even get your car because that reflects on the bonus that sales guys get so you can see how this will affect your experience once they give the 10 rating that the sales guys will openly ask you to give them so they get there bonus this lot don’t care. So please avoid this showroom.

An incompetent and complacent service based on my recent experience. Why? Having reserved a new car with the Northampton branch and paid the deposit I was assured it would be ordered with Toyota the following Monday. Two weeks later I received an email from the dealer saying my deposit was being returned and I could only order the car online direct with Toyota. However, by then the car had sold out the UK allocation. Toyota contacted all UK dealers ahead of online ordering going live so that customers would be contacted and made aware. Would it have been too much trouble to alert me, allowing me to buy the car online. Not even so much as an apology. You have to ask yourself if this is the level of service I received do you really want to take the risk buying a new car with this dealer? There are lots of other great Toyota dealers and based on my experience I wouldn't trust Steven Eagell Northampton.

disgusting ,i recently purchased a car showing 59,000 miles and the car had had a speedo change at toyota, the real mileage was 94,000 miles, the response was tuff luck and they said nothing could be done,we are now heading to court,i wouldn't expect this behaviour from a back street garage let alone a toyota main dealer, disgusted to say the least

This is my experience in Steven Eagell Toyota Tamworth in mid October 21. I bought a second hand car, they said I can't take it in the day as they have to do the MOT and to clean in, and they offer to apply supaguard protection (for leather and exterior paint) which cost me £445 with VAT, wait 2 weeks to pick un the car, and the car wasn't even hoovered, no paint protection, nothing. AVOID this company!

This is my experience in steven Eagell Toyota Luton. Avoid avoid never ever go to this place.it’s ok at the beginning but when you place and order and then try to cancel it they all say you can’t cancel it but I know it’s my right if I want to cancel my order I can. Having said that I went for a test drive and o liked the car but me and wife wanted to think about it but the sales man(isham) told me that I can always cancel the order if I can’t make it and I would get my deposit back. And now they telling me I can’t get my deposit back and also I can’t cancell my order.and I have spoken to advise bureau and they said that there is no way they can tell me they can’t cancell an order.anyway I am going back again tomorrow to see the manager as the manager was not in today. I am not having this as I am going to take this further. Even the managers they are the same aswell. Guys take my advise avoid this place. I will write the outcome of my case here so do look for it. This place is in luton(Steven eagll)

They shouldn't offer damaged car and shouldn't hide real pictures on advert. We are thinking like this is the dealer and they never cheat. No. It's not like that. Dealer mean is franchising and there is no one from Toyota to manage this dealer. Dealer controlled by third party person who has contract with toyota. Do not trust dealers. Especially, do not trust this dealer. Don't trust people when they talking to you with gently and welcoming you. This is called friendly cheating. I went there to see the car and thought this is the dealer and should not cheat people. The car has 100's of scratches on whole left side, damage and deep scratches on bumper...etc. There are so many damage and scratches on the car. When I open the door, all decoration has been damaged and scratched. It's 2018 model car and I think has been used as minicab. Also the mileage was 17K which I didn't believe that. The dealer or who drove the car before has changed the mileage. They offered me to repair the car but I didn't believe them. I'm sure that after signed the finance agreement, they will say good bye and drive the car like that. Do not buy scratched and damaged car. Do not trust their repair promise. They will not repair properly and they can't remove deep scratches with polish.

Utterly appalled with the entire experience, filled with lies, manipulation and complete waste of 3 hours, my entire Saturday afternoon lost! 100X100X100 is the latest deceitful offer now available! I feel like I have a duty to write this long-winded HONEST review of my recent experience at trying to purchase a new car. Bullet points of condensed synopsis - Went to an early preview of a sale termed ‘100x100x100’ to purchase a car at cost price - Researched before going, sales and offer prices are typically £4k - £6k below the OTR price, from the same place - In the end. was given a price that was only discounted by £492 below the OTR and then told that this was ‘cost-price’ - They added £2k of extras, so actual discount cost-price, became £1500 more expensive than the OTR price - Told they only make £1k profit on a car but then tried to sell me one for £500 more than the ‘cost-price’ - Completely misled and time wasted - Given PX offer of a third less than market value - GDPR breach – gave no consent to be contacted, but was called a few hours later, offering me another rubbish deal, which was £800 - £900 less than OTR! - Gutted, I was taken for a fool, when I know better I always get these random sales emails from Steven Eagell, talking about some ‘super-secret’, ‘open to a selected few only’, top notch manager special sales and I know they’re nonsense, so mostly ignore. However, I have been after a Toyota CH-R for years now and as the old Juke is on its way out, thought I need to get a new car at some point. Then I came across this 100x100x100 deal, that I thought was too good to miss out on. It’s a simple but complicated to some deal, which talks about some nonsense about having promised to purchase a certain amount of stock from Toyota and so have ‘100’ cars, that will be sold at ‘cost price’, with only a £100 admin charge, and the sale will last ‘100’ hours. Quite straightforward, right?... Anyway, I saw the ad on FB last night and couldn’t wait to book in my spot, which was a pre-condition of the offer, that you get booked in, to get the deal on the day. The ‘sale’ starts on Wednesday, so this morning (Saturday 5th June 2021), I called up as soon as they opened and spoke to a young lad from their sales team, to get booked in. I genuinely, thought I was calling just to book the meeting for Wednesday, but he was eager to get all my details, PX details and preferences, etc. which is fine. He then put me on hold and came back with the tremendous news, I was such a special customer that they would bring the sale forward and let me be seen today, with the same deal as I would receive on the sale day. I was ecstatic and booked in the meeting for the same day. Luckily, I googled standard offers on the CH-R, some of which were from Steven Eagell themselves, e.g., £31,500 standard OTR price, discounted to £27,995, there was also a business deal from the same branch, and this was discounted to £25,649, so I thought if that’s the normal sales, this one at cost price should be ridiculously cheap, so couldn’t wait to go down. Long story short, met him, was pleasant, went through all usual spiel, he went off to get the ‘super-duper special boombastic fantastic cost price’ deal. It was £492 off the OTR price but then he added £2k of extras, so it was £1500 more than the OTR price, making the total over £33k!!! I literally felt sick to my stomach and majorly disappointed and disrespected, how he could do me like that, when they’re selling the same cars on autotrader for cheaper. I had a to and fro and asked him what are the margins, he said very slim, and they barely make £1k profit on each car they sell, that’s why he couldn’t discount it further, I told him, they in the wrong game then and they definitely doing it wrong, if they barely making any money off selling cars. Anyway, I knew I should have walked out then but then felt I invested time in this process and maybe he would drop it if I haggled, as I really want the car. Plus, I spent ages, finding all my car’s docs for the PX, license, ID, proof of address, etc for the credit check. Anyway, a lot of back and forth later, he as a last ditched attempt, bought in his ‘manager’, who offered some offer paltry deal and when I told him that I wanted something in my realistic budget, he said I was in dreamland, which was majorly offensive. He made out that I was taking food out his kids mouth for asking for a better deal, really appalling experience, he even showed me some dodgy print out that showed the purchase price and profit, something they knocked up and wanted to show me for ‘full transparency’ of how much they are making on the deal, it said £124 profit, that was the last straw, I came in for a 100x100x100 deal, and after wasting over 2 hours, they come out with a deal which is above the stated promotion by £124, I knew it was all car salesmen lies and deception from the start but damn, not to this level, it’s all lies, lies, lies. Shakes your mental outlook on the integrity of people you meet and makes you paranoid and question everything. In the end, I asked for a better deal, which should be better than the existing offers, I was told that the car at £27k was making a £5k loss to the business and they wanted to get rid of it, as it was the last of the old stock, even though it was pre-reg, and even with those numbers, if you include the £5k, it comes to £32k, which is £1k above the OTR, which made zero sense and flawed their argument. Plus, that would mean the business deals, are definitely plunging the firm into the poverty line, as they are taking a hit of £6k on every deal, my heart bled for them. The manager said that for me to possibly get a couple of quid off more, they could ask his manager, I was thinking , how can you claim you only make £1k per car sale, when you have showroom costs, sales staff costs, manager costs and senior manager costs, obviously they were just lying through their teeth and after looking at their last annual accounts, they made a gross profit of almost £68m, so £1k per car, equates to 68,000 car sales, which is utter cobblers. They’re living hand to mouth by all accounts. Why do this to people, con the people all you like, money isn’t as valuable as good character, and doesn’t last as long, in the end, I hope you realise, it wasn’t worth it. Please do not do this to others.

Took my 2017 Verso in for a full service and tyre change at the Cambridge branch yesterday. Also asked them to check the touch screen which is out of synch and specifically said that I was having issues programming the SatNav because of this. I told both the person who took the booking in their service centre over the phone and the pick up driver who made a note. We then both did a thorough walk around of the car and he noted that there were no scratches or dents. The car is really only used for the school run and shopping and has one very careful owner from new. Received the car back surprisingly quickly and the drop off driver was in a hurry to go. I made a point of stopping him and asking him how the service went as I walked around the car for a quick inspection. I was really only checking the correct tyres had been replaced but to my surprise I found small scratches on the back near the number plate. The driver shrugged it off as just 'dirt' picked up during the drive but I ran my fingers over it and it is clearly scratched. I was on the verge of letting this go as they were only small scratches and had not gone deep. Then to my horror my eyes looked below the scratches and found a line of scrapes with indentations which had actually gone through the paintwork. The car is Tyrol Silver and the scrapes and dents were showing a dark metal below. When I pointed this out to the Toyota guy he just shrugged and dismissed it once again. I got annoyed at this stage and insisted this was not there at the walk round inspection before it was taken in. These scrapes are clearly visible being in a line and so dark against the silver colour of the car. When he saw me become agitated he took it more seriously and took out his mobile to take some pictures which he said he would pass onto the office when he got back. Someone will be in touch he assured me. A couple of hours later I could no longer wait and called them up myself. Tried to speak to Paul who was dealing with my service only to be told he was busy but they were aware of the issue and he would call me back. No call back. The following day I waited until midday until calling them. Immediately Paul picked up and on hearing my voice admitted sheepishly he'd been meaning to call me. Then he asked me what it was I wanted? Really so he did not know there was an issue with the service? Neither the drop off driver nor the previous person I spoke to had told informed him of the scratches? So I jogged his memory and he recalled being informed of the issue. Then proceeded to tell me that he'd seen the photos and 'that is not the sort of thing that would have happened here'. Really? So accidents never happen on your busy, overcrowded site where to find a parking space is nigh impossible and cars are crammed every which way on the parking lot and pavements? And your staff have never reversed into anything, ever? The sheer rudeness and lack of customer service is appalling. This is the sort of fobbing-off story I would expect from cowboy garages or even a certain popular chain of mot/service providers but not of a Toyota dealership. Especially when it was clearly done while in their care and is not an expensive fix if they value their customer. I have spent a lot of money buying into their expensive service plans so would expect better treatment.  The call ended with Paul saying I should send an email to their manager who no doubt would have given me the same runaround. No, I would rather vote with my feet. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE COWBOYS AGAINI WILL LIKELY NOT BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA CAR.

The sales experience was ok. The normal to and fro 'to speak to the manager' and attemps rinse more money through pointless insurances and paint traetments but par for yhe course and no complaints. However after nearly a month they have still not settled the credit on the car i traded in and don't seem to be in a rush to get this sorted despite the fact they know i am now paying credit on 2 cars. Aftersales at the Solihull branch is a shambles.

Completly disapointing by the service at Toyota Steven Eagell Northampton. Went for a service and Mot for my Toyota yaris. I have been told that it will not pass the Mot if i do not change the rear wheel bearing which cost 475pounds to change with them. This bearing was change a year ago. I went to see two other garages for advise and been told that bearing are in Perfect condition. I have passed successfully the Mot with no warning advisory on bearing. I can't trust anymore Steven eagells Toyota and will not come back to the Northampton garage.

Mis diagnosing the car which resulted in engine failure then denied it all. Failing to do a proper service on the car not changing filters etc which now explains why the engine is in the state it’s in. Trying to get you change pads and discs when they are perfectly fine and saying your tyres are illegal when they’re perfectly fine. I could go on. Don’t trust these people.

Over the past 30 years I have only ever purchased new or used vehicles from the dealerships. Bought a new vehicle from Steven Eagell and the worst customer experience you can imagine, certainly in my life. Once the vehicle is off their forecourt you are are on your own. It is an absolute rubbish dealership with management to match. Don't be sucked in their customer experience claims, you will be disappointed.
