An absolute nightmare, I wanted to cancel my account ( a long time out of contract) was hardly at home … first 2 cancellation phone calls cut off in the final minute, never a call back. Finally after 3 months, I stopped my DDebit haha suddenly got a ‘manager’ get me another operative to cancel GOT CUT OFF SECONDS from confirmation! Again no call back. Sent a bill ..ignored it, got a phone demand, paid it, JUST TO GET RID though no service, and allegedly paid one month in advance at original contact. Have had a £33.20 bill for the last 8 months, 2 investigations by Moorcroft debt collection ( both times the dismissed their claims) Still going through it nearly one year later, now going to a formal complaint group. Never had the speeds promised, never had Wi-Fi in my 3rd bedroom, in a one level flat!!!! Never recommended by me EVER!

TalkTalk, a company with the word 'Talk' in its name TWICE but it's impossible to actually talk to anybody because they work on skeleton staff. I have 4 months left of my contract, without a doubt I will not be renewing.

Talk Talk is am absolute joke of a company. Can't get through to anyone on the phone and even when i wrote a letter to explain my problems I had no reply.

Made an appointment with an engineer for 4pm - 6pm turned up 10.30 am said in area now . I was on my way out to hospital so said come back at the appointed time. He phoned said he had been done everything outside so he was finished. He was a LIAR He did nothing my phone line is connected to emergency call out because I fell and was unconscious for 5 days , lost 5 pints of blood in hospital for 7 weeks...... I told TalkTalk this . They don't care , rude left me with no emergency connection for 10 days, so NO PHONE.... NO TV ..... NO BROADBAND All the call centres are in the Philipines they are rude, can't speak English or understand English .......I ASKED TO KEEP MY PHONE NO..... they lost it I am 73 I have to contact all hospitals, doctors etc. THEY DONT CARE.... they made me wait another 10 days for a second appointment. Saying I should wait like everybody else......have taken £14 more from my bank than was agreed..... but are telling me they can't find my account....... if you want a call centre abroad with idiots making you spell everything up to nine times cos they do not understand anything . I was raised in Bucks so I don't have a regional accent.....dreadful dreadful worst ever experience with any company I have had

Shocking , terrible lack of service waited 24 days to be connected , no service , engineers don’t turn up or don’t the job properly, in addition they lied & said we’d been connected, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Cancelled order ,

UPDATE AS OF 06/12/2022 - I HAVE OFFICIALLY TRANSFERRED TO SKY BROADBAND AND SINCE SUMMER TALK TALK HAS NOT STOPPED HARASSING ME TO PAY THEM FOR A SERVICE WHICH I AM NO LONGER USING. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THEY HAVE NOW TRANSFERRED ME TO A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY TO GET THEIR WELL UNDERSERVED MONEY, I KEEP GETTING EMAILS, LETTERS THROUGH THE POST FROM THEIR DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY, AND I AM NOT USING THEM, I COULD NOT LAST A WHOLE MONTH WITH THEM AND I HAD TO LEAVE RIGHT AWAY AND ENDED UP WITH A EARLY CANCELLATION FEE, BUT THEY NEVER OWNED UP TO THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY PROVIDED AND NOW THEY WONT STOP CHASING ME FOR THEIR MONEY. TALK TALK LISTEN UP, YOU WILL NOT SEE A SINGLE PENNY OUT OF THE £292 YOU ARE DEMANDING! GET USED TO IT! THEY WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE ON TOP OF EVERYTHING BELOW. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! STAY WELL AWAY FROM THEM! Not understanding not helpful at all. Here is why. I paid them to reinstate my connection and a few days later they switched my connection off and it was when I lost needed my internet connection so I had to call their 0345 number from my friend’s phone which has incurred a huge bill on their phone because we spent over 30 mins through their 3 phone. I asked the lady from TalkTalk customer service to call me back because I had already waited a long time to be connected and I asked them if they could call me back because I feared of the kind of bill I will incur on my friend’s phone. The lady from the TalkTalk customer service kept pretending she didn’t hear us which resulted in me having to repeat the same question over and over again loud and clear and she still did not care to even consider listening to my suggestion. I think it has been a month since I am with TalkTalk and it was the WORST decision I have ever made leaving my previous provider to which I am currently in the process of crawling back to. I have 2 of TalkTalk’s routers at home and they will never see them again. To top it all off they sold us a pipe dream of full fibre broadband which we never got and it was all empty promises. On top of ALL this I couldn’t take it anymore so I decided to leave them and since my contract with TalkTalk had already started, they are asking me to pay them £228.50 for leaving them even though I was on the phone to them regarding their connection every single day because it was that bad. They are gutless, horrible, and everything you would not want in a customer service team or in a company altogether. Please listen guys don’t waste your time, you will have extreme headaches when you try to leave them. TalkTalk are the biggest SCAMMERS in the broadband industry. High voltage, keep away!

This is the most useless company ever used, service undelivered, staff very incompetent, the company has been taking my money through direct debit without delivering services. Not able to advise on vital issues concerning services during contract, stayed too long on the phone as staffs lack technical knowledge. Poor communication skills and sham!!! It has been a hell since several months as my equipment not working etc

If 0 was possible I would still be classed as benevolent. Tried to close an account today! Two hours of back and forth, transfer, what you like sir, transfer, here's an out of hours contact number to call, alright, here's a number you can call, but we can offer you a better deal. I DON'T WANT ONE!! Now I've got to give them 30 days notice, I think I'm out of contract anyway. Hum ho, gladly pay an extra month to be rid of these incompetents. Sad, because never had a problem with their service (technical), sad to say their customer service is not even comparable to a TV comedy show. Next time I need a contract, sorry ladies and gentlemen at Talk Talk, you won't even be in the game! APPALLING.

The worst customer experience I have ever had, I placed a new order (new customer) but after finalizing the order online I realized I had made a mistake, that's when a call to customer service made me realize I did not want to give this company my business and would rather pay more to someone else. Trying to cancel an order I have not received is as difficult as trying to talk to someone who is capable of helping. Absolutely avoid at all costs.

Promise the earth, deliver little. I was supposed to get a new modem when I renewed my contract, several conversations later I am still waiting. The old one has packed up so no internet. Time to buy myself out of my contract. If you have any sense you will stay away. It will cost me £210 to buy myself out of the contract but worth every penny. My son plays his Xbox online but the broadband drops regularly; it's not stable. He has ADHD and has wrecked his room due his frustration with the service.

My 85-year-old mother is without internet. I have been trying for days to get an engineer rescheduled to visit. All they have to do is call her but they insist on hour-long text messaging and webchats which get nowhere because I do not know her password. My mother also does not know her password. I have made four long calls to them where they insist on me calling my mother on another phone so they can hear her say she is the account holder! Now 'Eugeryl' of the Filipino webchat 'support' team says that the relevant department is closed. Utterly utterly hopeless. Avoid.

Horrendous to deal with. My mum had a fault on her line so for a week she hasn't had any internet or phone line. They ran a test and said there was a fault, and an engineer was coming out, they never turned up. I rang today and they won't send an engineer out until my mum who is elderly does some tests in the house. They are expecting her to take the front of the box off and do some tests. I explained she can't do that, and I am not at her house to do it. They said nothing else they can do until that's done. I asked to speak to a manager, and they wouldn't speak to me, the operator said they would only say the same as she had told me. My mum has no phone to call them and is unable to bend down and test the box so there is nothing they can do. Polite lady but rubbish service and just kept repeating the same sentence over and over again. Will be recommending my mum moves to another provider.

Horrendous. Guy came to install it as I was working in My office. Heard lots of banging then silence. Went to inspect. The guy nowhere to be seen and wires after wires nailed to my fireplace. I was furious. The guy disappeared and NEVER came back. I should of cancelled my contract then No installation. Now I’ve upgraded to a 4k box that does not pause rewind and you need a usb to record and you CAN NOT turn it over once it records. Customer service really is the worst you will EVER experience. Do not get this box the technology is from years ago. Sold it misleadingly. Records one programme at a time and you can’t turn it over. Even the 1970s VCR when it first came out had the technology to turn the tv over. This new box will ensure talk talks down fall as they are laughed out of the market by other providers. I’d rather pay a fortune now with another provider. They really do not care. You’ll be passed over to any one. Think you’ve sorted the matter then find out there’s no record of it. Please go ahead and get talk talk and you’ll end up writing a review like this !!!

This must be the worst customer service out there. We initially tried to inform TalkTalk of our home move via the website. This did not work so decided to try via live chat. We gave the dates to the member of staff who incorrectly keyed our move out date to the month before. Within 10 minutes our internet was switched off. We have called to inform them of their mistake and so they could switch the internet back on, we were passed to around 10 different advisors. Asked the same questions over and over again. Not a single one cared about the issue. Dropping the call on us mid conversation. we were then told the internet could not be switched back on. This went even further to TalkTalk saying “could you find other internet for a couple of week?” This is beyond disgusting as this was no fault of our own. Asking paying customers to find different internet when they have caused you the problem. When we have asked to be put through to the complaint team they have stated there isn’t one. The issues gets passed to a supervisor who will give us a call back in 24 hours. Even though the advisor was speaking to the supervisor they would not pass the phone to them there and then. Have we received a call back? NO This is TalkTalks fault and we have been left without internet for 2 weeks until we move. We have to work from home and now can’t do our job because of a mistake on their end that they refuse to resolve. Absolutely disgusting service

Do yourself a favour and use someone else, I’ve had countless broadband connection issues and hardware issues. In a bog standard residential area. My bet would be service in the Shetland Islands would be more reliable than these bunch of the chancers in the Centre of Manchester. I’ve spent well over 15 hours in total dealing with my various issues with broadband and each time, “It’s a problem with your line” Then you have to arrange time off work for OpenReach to come out, whom I’m on first name terms with the 3 engineers that cover my patch. They then tell TalkTalk it’s their equipment, they send a new router, don’t compensate you for your outages and the cycle repeats! If you wan to pay for a service you never receive, I who heartily recommend these guys!

Disgusting customer service with the elderly! They won’t deal with you if you don’t have an email address, I’ve helped my mother-in-law walk away and go with another provider. They did not deal with her query about her bill because she didn’t have an email address she spoke to 5 different people over different days!

Stay away!!! My daughter has had No internet service for 5 weeks after fault report. Told lies and rubbish..still not fixed.
