I have just returned to shop a Solar light it cost £10.99 so not cheap as it had gone rusty after just 10 days.The assistant askd if it had been outdoors,to which I replied yes its a Solar light and works from sunlight to be told it was for indoor use only I should have in Conservatory.They did refund mymoney but I came away from shop amazed that I had been told such rubbish.

Portsmouth branch Really frustrated as I was treated unfairly today in that branch. Went to return a faulty blender that my husdand bought a few days ago. Surprisingly, the manager did not want to refund us. They came up with reason that this has been used and is not resalable. Very bad customer services. Staff including managers started pushing me and calling me names in front of customers. Horrible experience!!! Still in shock and demand answers

AVOID THIS COMPANY. Ordered a wardrobe. delivered damaged by a driver who abused my family. After many hours on the phone and unanswered emails, ""Customer Service" reordered the wardrobe. When it didn't arrive, The Range stated it was never in stock!! The Range have not offered compensation for the lies and hassle and waste of time. Don't bother trying to escalate any issues within their complaints system as it will be ignored. Written to The Range CEO directly who has similarly not replied. AVOID THE RANGE

Disgusting treatment! After waiting considerable time for delivery of mirrors, 3 were broken! Had range collect them, no refund given so chased it and they said to my utter surprise only 2 received! Could it b that the range got that wrong and did not bother counting all the broken bits? But no I’m blantantly the liar here according to the range! Either way I did not even receive a refund for two and still haven’t! Not even the money now but the principal! Do not order from them quick to take money not quick to deliver, no care taken on delivery just dumped broken then on collecting they did not bother checking what was received and did not bother with refund! Worse service ever. Defo lost me as a customer

Chichester branch Only one till working, dealing with a lady asking about curtains. Asked if I could pay for my one item at the refund desk. The till lady said yes, unfortunately the man on the refund desk said no. There were very few people in. Went to Homebase and was treated with a smile. That’s another two customers lost forever.

Paid £10 delivery of goods, they gave their external delivery company the wrong address. Sent me in circles, had to organise the redelivery myself. Said an investigation was escalated, heard nothing. No apologies and still have no delivery as of yet 4 weeks after ordering.

I made a phone call to a store in Sheffield on the 29/08/2019 to make an inquiry regarding an item in stock, she was very professional and quick she told me they had the items I wanted, 2 Garden Rabbit ornaments and asked if I wanted them she would leave them at the customer help desk. So far so good excellent service, I called that evening and decided I wanted to make an extra purchase of some artificial flowers and Ivy of about £30, I them made my way into the garden section at around 7.40 to be abruptly told it was closed you cannot come in here will you get out. I said pardon me but its part of the same store which does not close till 8pm, again a further more agitated reply its closed for maintenance end of mate. I was disgusted to receive such an amazing earlier service to this appalling one. I work as a maintenance operative in a Nursing Home and it was a decision that afternoon to purchase extra flowers to help with a pen pal project that would cover the base of two letter boxes to help stimulate these residents. I felt very upset from the attitude of your member of staff, mixed emotions that the following day I would be unable to purchase the items I require at NOW such short notice. I found out that this member of staff's name is Dave.

Manager and cashier were rude and aggressive. A problem with the card machine and when I questioned what was wrong, they blamed me. My card was working fine. I was spending money and they were borderline threatening. Gareth the manager and Natalie on the till were unprofessional. Don’t visit Bursledone store basically!!!

Visited Ballymena store today.Left my mobile phone in store by mistake. When I discovered my mistake contacted store. Some honest person had handed it in, and I picked it up later. I'd like to thank Orla and Karen, from the store, who were most helpful.

Purchased a trampoline, made the mistake of not checking the contents for 30 days due to holidays and having work done on our lawn. Went to assemble it, only to discover that some of the items are missing, including the actual trampoline bed. Disgusted that it's obviously a return that someone has swiped key items from. Despite them acknowledging that the weight of the delivered box didn't match the weight specified by the manufacturer, they refused to either swap it out, provide the missing items or provide a refund. I'm disgusted with them. They also refused to let me speak to their Line Manager and even hung up on me for having the audacity to interrupt them on the call. Pathetic customer service - I won't ever buy anything from them again.

Absolutely disgusting customer service and delivery company. Arrived late after 3rd scheduled day, 3 days of waiting in and unpaid days off work. Order did not arrive. Phoned and emailed delivery company, dozens of times, no calls or emails answered. Tracking info kept telling me it had been delivered when it hadn't but no way of telling them this! So frustrating. Spent £250! Finally turned up, not a word from delivery person, just left on doorstep. Do not ever buy online from the range!!! All that customer services did at the range after I had lost the will to live on hold was give me same email address to complain to that I had already complained to unanswered for last 5 days!!!

Absolute nightmare - issue with system means that payment didn't go through immediately for an online purchase. We then called and cancelled it as it wouldn't arrive on time. Told us it was cancelled. week later the money was taken from bank and we again got an e-mail saying that the delivery would be delivered (a week after the initial date). Again called - again cancelled and told we would receive a refund. 4 days later, message from courier saying that our goods were being delivered. Another call, another cancellation and advice that if it did get delivered we could always take it to our nearest branch for a refund (which by the way is 10 miles away and would need to be done during the weekend)- SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!! I am gobsmacked at the incompetence, and we are still awaiting a refund. The customer service staff are friendly and apologetic but the situation is ridiculous. Shame on you THE RANGE

Can’t believe for such a big company they have such bad customer service. As with most other customers I wish I had read the reviews first. Bought a sofa which came damaged. After numerous phone calls (as with everyone else) left listening to the recording about how great the Range is, what a joke, I finally got through. The minimum time I waited was 23mins and must have called 6 times. Asked to send pictures and they respond in 48 hours, since when has a week been 48 hours? As I was getting no where with emails I called again. To cut a long story short, they arranged a return (no date given, I await call from courier) and had to order and pay AGAIN for yet another sofa. Surely the replacement should have been put through free of charge? So as it stands I am waiting for a collection, new delivery and my refund!! The place is a joke. Where possible DO NOT order anything online. Can’t believe this company has not been on Watchdog, actually that might be the way to go if this is not dealt with asap.

We went to the range in Stockton- and chose 2 garden orinments at £12.99 a set of lights at £4.99 And a set of heart shaped fairy lights £4.99 ! At the till the orinments went through the till at £16.99 , lights at £8.99 And fairy lights £5.99 I explained to the shop assistant that the prices were wrong - she went and checked the prices which were as I said And till was wrong ! She called the supervision who also checked the prices and she rang the manager ! The supervisor couldn't tell me the managers name but said that he/she said that the price on the till was correct ! I argued that the price on the shelf was less than the price on the till ! The supervisor said that the shop policy is to charge what the till shows ! Basically they show a price on the shelf and charge what ever the like at the till and tough if you don't like it ! They say they will take my items off sale for 24 hours and I will be there tomorrow to check and will report them to trading standards if they are on sale ! We went else where and purchased goods in a reputable organisation ! There were other people at other tills having exactly the same problem ! So be warned ! The price of your goods will change at the till and you will be over charged ! All I can say it even dick turpin had the decency to wear a maske !!!

Rude assistant Stella in York store reduced me to tears when waiting at the till,don't shop there if your mum has just died and you have other relatives terminally I'll. I will never go there again. Stella having a bad day,try mine!

The same experiences as mine? An online order was delivered to a store for collection. On opening, the items were the wrong ones completely AND, one was smashed. The order of delicate porcelain pieces were lightly wrapped in some bubble wrap, then put into a PLASTIC bag for transit; no wonder there was damage here. I have tried to contact customer services for almost a fortnight now; the online options were not relevant to my situation, so I rang constantly over seven days receiving the ‘hold’ messages, until I finally received an answer. My joy was short-lived, as the young man I spoke to agreed with my complaint and requested I send photos and my reference number. He reassured me that this would rectify the situation. Ha ha! No response whatsoever to me email, and subsequent emails. I am now constantly ringing (thanks for the phone bills, Range), and cannot get beyond the ‘hold-on messages). The are just batting-off customer complaints. I have tableware I didn’t order (but have paid for), and of which some is smashed. The Range obviously sees me as ‘enemy’?

Bought 2 wardrobes £329. The courier lost one of four boxes. This was 5 weeks ago and despite many emails and phone calls I still have not received my refund. I will never go near this company again

Disgusted with The Range, a big company but they haven't even bothered to acknowledge my need for an exchange (faulty wardrobe). I have emailed, called (on hold for ages, no answer) and even Tweeted, what a joke this company is, avoid! I certainly won't be buying again.

I bought paint from this company. When I got it home the car boot was covered in paint which I feel was due to a faulty lid. I returned to the Range in Livingston where it was purchased from and showed the manager who was shocked to see the mess off the boot. He gave me the email address for compensation and to get the boot cleaned. I sent off pictures and an email to them as I was told to do. When they did get back to me they said it was nothing to do with them. Customer service is non existent and as a frequent shopper there I won't be shopping there again. What a disgusting way to treat a customer. Still in shock!!!
