They are with out a doubt THE WORST gas and electric company I have ever been with. They ‘forget’ to inform you about important changes via email/letter and state they phoned you once the previous year about this upcoming change and then when you switch to a pay as you go meter they steal your money! £40 in less than 48 hours and absolutely no way to contact them out of hours. I am absolutely furious and will be taking this further! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The waiting time to speak to someone is absolutely ridiculous!!! On hold for way over an hour, customer service is rubbish!!! One man I spoke to was taking to me saying ‘ yeah innit ‘ not professional at all!! Nothing but hassle since joining them!

1 star is too high for this company, if I could I would give no stars. I have been battling for 3 months, now into the 4th to get the account sorted. They took over £400 off me for a period I wasn’t even liable for, they refuse to reply to my complaint emails. For such a basic task of amending a date and reissuing a bill they seem to be making it 1000000000x harder than needed. I could go on endlessly about how you should AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Absolutely disgusting service received and j will not be staying with them, a single woman telling me I need to pay over £200 a month….JOKE!!!

Been on hold for over 30 minutes now it 09:20 on a week day. It couldnt be a quieter time and yet no one to answer their calls. Appaling customer service. Why do we put up with this kind of rubbish?

If I could give a lower score then I would... this week in total i've wasted 5 hours of my life on HOLD!!! someone put the phone down on me so that was an hour lost and everytime I call a number it sounds like someone is working from home and then tells me i must be transferred... i would avoid this company solely on customer service, hold times and lack of technical knowledge. the website is shocking too... you can login into your account via the app but not on the website? why can't it be like facebook, twitter, etc... you know simple? avoid at all costs people you will only get frustrated

For several years after joining UW, I was more than satisfied with their service. All bills in one place, always able to speak to someone directly for any issue, and promptly resolved. Alas, all good things come to an end.. at the end of last year I took out their Boiler & Home insurance to my regret. It took me months, literally to be able to contact anyone to book a boiler service, and always unable to speak to anyone, emails, go unanswered. Last week I had an emergency, which left me without heating, hot water, landline phone, WiFi and dead sockets unable to charge mobile, same story. I ended calling out an independent electrician at midnight (at a cost of £165) with the last bit of battery on my phone. He came, checked, identified the issue and advised me to keep a number of fuses off to prevent further blackout until my insurance electrician came in the morning. No one from UW called until I raised complaints mid morning, eventually someone turned up at 9pm and stood there staring at the boiler completely blank, no check, not a look at the fusebox or equipment. Fiddled with a connection and re wired it and left. Electricity worked for a few hours and again off. All weekend left now without heating, hot water etc.. they now will send someone tomorrow late evening. Absolutely appaling, they shouldn't be allowed to do business, at least the Insurance division.

PLEASE, DON'T EVEN BOTHER. Just as everyone here has said this company is a joke. Took 6 months for them to switch my bill to prepaid. Paid my bill as always and was told i have an outstanding bill! How? From where? Looked online no bill there balance 0. Customer service is non existent. They're rude, inconsiderate, and hang up on you. Just... DON'T!

I wish I could give zero stars. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Ridiculous wait times and then they hang up. I have been having issues with my gas supply and billing for the past 3 months since I signed up. I have filed 2 official complaints, neither dealt with. Useless customer service, it's as if you haven't even had the conversation. 6 times I have spoken with someone and what they told me they would do was not actioned. I can't pay my gas bill because of the outstanding issues and all I get is bombarded for payment and had my energy cancelled. STAY AWAY!!

Worst company I have ever seen in my… Worst company I have ever seen in my life. He registered me at my neighbour's house and paid the bills of 3 families for 1 year and moreover, a company that burdens me with a debt that I do not owe. Trying to prove me wrong even though I'm right. stay away! I don't even give your company 1 star!!!!

very bad service firstly .. I have lost my broadband on a working day suddenly and when I contacted the UW customer care the Lady was very rude and they mentioned its Telephone issue and we don't cover..... I am shocked when I was getting the UW for my property the UW mentioned that we are going provide all the service(for Marketing Purpose). I can't able to work for 5 days ... because of this Provider.. and the customer care was not good ..not even a Single person tried to understand my Pain and problem ..I lost my Pay for 5 days...

Worst service provider. Didn’t port my landline number as agreed. Cut off my internet and landline services to “reconnect porting my number” without informing me. No services for 2 weeks whilst I was working from home. No real ownership of my issue, no urgency to resolve the issue. Needless to say I terminated my contract

I would give less than one star if I could. Moved to UW and despite making it clear that I could not afford to have any loss of internet went 6 days without - customer service attitude was very poor. You can't get through to customer service (how they claim this is award winning I do not know. I have cancelled all services - negotiated new deals with my existing suppliers and will not actually be much worse off - and the peace of mind will be priceless

Day 1) Broadband cut out three times within 1 hour. Advised to ring Customer Service in the morning. Internet dependant TV is off, mobiles are on Mobile Data 📱 (thankfully not with UW). Roll on Day 2 🤦‍♂️

Since 4th March I have been trying to get broadband & electricity into business address. Yesterday I was at the property 8am-1pm as instructed waiting for an engineer who did NOT show. Today, I have been on the phone for 3 hours and they can not tell me why he didn't turn up, or when another engineer will be booked. I asked about their complaints process which is abysmal. They just do not know what they are doing and everyone you speak to gives you a different answer. Nothing resolved and no one who can help!!!!

The absolute worst bunch of cunts I've ever had the misfortunate of coming across. When I signed up with UW in November, the person I spoke to estimated my monthly bill would amount to £40-£50 per month. They are claiming I have used £400 worth of energy each month. I have told them that even when I turn the electricity off for my home, the meter continues to go up. They still claimed it was right. I have never actually spoke to them over the phone because theyre absolute shithouses and just put you on hold for hours (as I write this I am currently in hour 3 of being on hold after they threatened to get a warrant to enter my apartment and install a prepayment meter) I sincerely hope all employees die miserably.

They have zero customer service. Waiting times of around 30 minutes for someone to answer the phone are normal and recently when I phoned them I gave up after waiting 45 minutes. Quite simply they just don't care about customers. Disgraceful.

Absolutely shocking to deal with. I inherited them as the energy supplier when a tenant left a commercial premises. If it’s possible for them to get it wrong they will. Wait on the phone for up to an hour, then staff unable to help. Avoid them like the plague. I deal with lots of different utility companies and this company set new standards in appalling customer service!!!!!
