Poor customer service. Staff just hang up on you when they're unable to answer your questions.

Absolutely appalling company! Was a customer for years, tried to return something, phoned up just to innocently enquire why it has been returned to me unfortunately, spoke to the most rudest moronic individual I've ever known, she was such a sarcastic, condescending cow! Wouldn't know what customer service was if it bit them in the arm pit! Didn't get anywhere! What done it for me was when returned two items, received an email and txt stating they received it, checked my account a month later and I noticed the credit hadn't been credited back to my account. Got told I needed a receipt of proof! Totally idiots! Told them we're passed that, as they received them, unfortunately I didn't keep txt from them month prior, and my emails get deleted after a month if nothing's done with them. Didn't get anywhere with that! So I paid £50 for no reason! Con artists! I have since paid what the balance was and asked for account to be closed as I'm not paying another penny to these idiots! And they STILL haven't done it after a week, total idiots!

This is quite frankly the worst company I have ever come across. Whilst there might be some people who have had a good experience with them, there is large amount of people that have had terrible service. In brief, I ordered a shelving unit from them which despite being told was going to turn up on a saturday (and I had to wait in 12 hours with my 2 young children to be sure was here to receive it), it didnt come. Took several calls to find out when it was arriving and that was subsequently 48 hours later. I then tried to complain about this and it took 2 emails and 3 phonecalls before I could speak to a Manager who gave me £4 postage credit! I then opened the box to put it together a week after purchase and there were no screws... just bits of wood. So again it took numerous calls and emails to 'apparently' sort this out and because I had spent more than 1.5 hours on various phonecalls they gave me a credit of £20 and assured me the screws would be with me in a few days. Over 2 weeks later and no screws still so I phone again only to be told they couldnt order them as they needed part numbers (which as it turned out the screws didnt have). No one had obviously phoned in the meantime to let me know! I asked for 2 call backs from Managers to complain again and didnt get 1 call back. The third time I kicked up such a fuss they put me through to someone. He said they still couldnt send the screws, I had to be sent the entire shelving unit again and then take out the screw pack and send it back! How bloody ridiculous! It also meant I had to be in on 2 different delivery dates to be able to receive and then send of the package... and given that I am a single parents that works, its really difficult to re-arrange my day to be in. So the latest is that I was assured 3 days ago the new unit would be here today between 7 and 12 so I arranged to work from home and cancelled 2 meetings..... and yet again it hasnt arrived (and wont be coming either)!! .....another wasted day of waiting and no idea now when I can be around for a new delivery date... So bloody frustrating and 4 weeks of stress so far! Which I had read the reviews first before ordering from them! Rant over!

Awful company, bad customer service and no people skills. Ordered a bed and wardrobe for my 4 year old son. Paid £20 to have delivered Saturday. The bed turned up but only half of the wardrobe so they took the full order back leaving my son with no bed for 4 nights. Bed finally arrived, no update on wardrobe. Drivers knew nothing about it. After 5 long phone calls to very I still have not had an update. Very angry as was promised calls back, never got them. Customer service is diabolical, messaged them n Facebook and they said we are an online based company so cannot contact you via the telephone, yet their happy for you to waste your money tirelessly ringing them. Avoid using very, I am currently writing to trading standards

I saw an advert on TV for very and thought I'd give their website a look. Within a couple of minutes I thought I'd found the perfect present for my mums Christmas, all was not to be. Ordered the product, it was £28 including delivery it came to £31.99. Paid for it all on the Monday and they said it would be delivered on Wednesday. I was very happy with the time it was going to take p to be delivered. However on the Wednesday j received a phone call and text to say the parcel was delayed but that it was still a priroty. Waited two weeks, heard nothing. Then got an email to say the parcel was despatched, one week later and Yodel had said they hadnt received it. I emailed customer service, two days later they respond to say they've forwarded my enquiry. I then see I've been refunded the £28 for the item, with no explanation as to why, what's happening with the product. Then email them again to ask for the delivery charge to be refunded along with an answer as to why I'm not getting the product. Email back twenty minutes later, saying they have refunded the 3.99 but absolutely no answer to my question about the product. The worst customer service I have ever experienced while shopping online. I wish I had reviews beforehand and I will certainly not be ordering from Very ever again in the future. Absolutely terrible! How on earth are they still trading?

Be Warned! The laptop you receive is not the laptop described and the very.co.uk policies are terrible. I received a laptop with 1366×768 and not the 1920x1080 resolution as described twice in the details. Instead of replacing the laptop with the correct one, I have to wait for a refund (in over 2 weeks time!) and then re-order the laptop in the hope they actually send the advertised model (because a week later they still cannot verify it)...I will never be purchasing from Very again. And one other thing - they don't post negative reviews as mine have been declined.

I will never order anything from Very and would suggest to others not to either. I ordered very expensive clothes for a wedding, I paid for next day delivery and I paid extra to be able to choose the time. So I stayed in, had a text that they had been delivered to a "safe place" and so searched my garden to find that this so called safe place was on top of my bins, outside of my garden, on the main road which also happens to be down a long flight of steps. This happened 3 times because the parcels all arrived at different times and certainly not "next day" like I paid for. When I called all I had was a lot of attitude and told if I need the items now that I'll need to reorder them again and pay for next day delivery again. I refused and luckily the order turned up the next day. I'm yet to be refunded the next day delivery cost, and have recently received an item I had forgotten about because I ordered it weeks ago! Terrible customer service and an even worse delivery service.

Cheating promotion, Bad Customer Service. To Avoid On 04/09/15, I received an email from VERY with £20 OFF – say hello to Autumn… ,which was saying all I need to do is spend £50 or more in one order before 24/09/15; Quote 6LR7C at the check out; £20 will be credited to my account. I then placed an order of £54.25 on 04/09/2015, I should only owe VERY £34.25 at that time. One item was in poor quality then I returned it on 17/09/2015, so the balance should be £26.75. However on 23/09/15, I just found out that the £20 voucher has been removed and I am required to pay £46.75 for the order. I sent many emails to VERY customer service, only on 05/10/15, one person named Nangamso Booi confirmed to me that: "I am pleased to confirm that the £20.00 will be revoked on Sat 17 Oct 2015 to this order. Although this may not show immediately on My Account, you will see this adjustment on your next or following statement." I then waited the voucher to reappear in my account since. However, on 17/10/15, I checked my account again, and found out that £20 voucher did not appear, and moreover, £12.00 Missed Minimum Payment Fee and £1.51 Account Interest was added. Which means I owe VERY £60.26 now, it is a bit of shocking. I sent emails to these so called customer service, only was told that: "It is important to pay your account before the payment due date or you may incur late charges. This is the reason that a late charge has been charged to your account." I regret I did online shopping with VERY, and I am VERY VERY disappointed.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE COMPANY, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Still waiting for an item I ordered two months ago. Keep being told it is out of stock yet they are selling it on their website. Customer service appalling. I emailed a complaint and got an email back to say my missing order had been passed to another department. What department?? I was registering a complaint with customer services, surely they are the department that deals with it?? After several more emails that generated nothing more than an automated email response, I emailed and asked for a Letter of Deadlock and gave them 14 days to respond. I also said I would only deal with them via email as I wanted written evidence of any interaction with them. The reps once to that was an email form a person!! saying she had tried to call me but my phone number was incorrect. Complete lie as my account details clearly have the correct number. I would advise anyone who has an issue with this company to email the CEO Alex Baldock at LinkedIn. You can sign up for a free trial and bombard him with emails.

Order wasn't sent on day promised, when rang Absolutely horrendous customer service no one knows what they are doing plus it costs you to ring (I had to ring 4 times) so I had to pay all this money for an unhelpful foul attitude and for them to hang up once they've put me on hold, will not use them again!!!

Very: The Scamming Cowboys Ok it starts as a normal standard purchase for a washing machine. 6th Oct 2015. I saw theirs listed and it was £10.00 cheaper. So I went to do it online. Their website is so incapable. It will reject passwords and emails. So I gave up after 10 minutes and placed the order on the phone. Paid for everything there and then. £6.99 for delivery, £219.00 for washing machine, £5.00 for collecting the old machine and £15.00 for install of new one. No invoices no emails confirming receipt and the order. I called again to query this. The call took some 40 minutes. The day of delivery was the 9th Oct 2015. They machine arrived. The 2 guys delivering said that we have to do the uninstall and then they can take the old one away and install. I suggested this was not what was intimated in the purchase. He did not even have a per of pliers. He was but a truck driver. And said the same, I am not a plumber. I just deliver. had to reject the delivery and get on the phone to e told they cannot re deliver and will do a refund. Ok can you do a refund then please so I can buy it else where. The answer is no we need a minimum of 7 working days to refund. The call took 1 hour 25 minutes. Basically a bunch of cowboys. Not fit for purpose. Fraud is the only way I can explain it. They take money there and then on the spot. Like some little local crooked gangster. Can not provide the product and service and you have to grovel for a receipt (never got) and await their good will to refund. The good will clearly does not exist. I have no reason to believe they will do a refund and have reported it as a disputed transaction with the bank, which requires 14 days for them to action. If I was the owner, CEO or director. I would shut the whole thing done. It is a total embarrassment to anything resembling a business operation. A waste of time. A scam. Save time. Save headache and save money by avoiding Very.co.uk . Rubbish.

So I pre ordered a game, (the uncharted collection) which is not something I usually do but brought a groupon voucher giving me £40 very credit for £20... Worst mistake I've made, for a start the code simply would not work for 3 days, after countless expensive and rude (them not me) phone calls to very they agreed to contact groupon and get me a new (working) code. So I finally buy the item I want using the code and assumes all's well... 5 days before the game is due to come out I receive a email saying the order has been cancelled and that I have broken the terms of service! I called very and was accused of being a scammer! Eventually I got through to management who arranged for me to get a £20 groupon voucher (of which I have no use) and not a refund because it was somehow my fault the code they gave me was dodgy! I do not have much Money and now cannot afford the game I want and also feel insulted and tired by the whole ordeal... Not to mention the bill for £9 they will not refund and the tens of hours of my time wasted taking to people in India who have no clue what's going on! NEVEF EVER USE VERY, THEY ARE OVERPRICED, RUDE AND HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! an absolute disgrace!

Ordered a washing machine and given a delivery by date, no communication at all and when I contacted them on said delivery date to be told it's out of stock, five weeks wasted needless to say I cancelled the order and will not purchase from this site again.

I placed an order 3 weeks ago and have still not received my order. Terrible customer services, promised they will arrange delivery but still not received. They seem happy to take the money straight from my bank but not to send it. I have emailed them and they have said they will look into but still waiting... The products was for my holiday and I have been back a week now..

I've only ever made 3 orders with Very and I've had issues with the delivery for 2 of those! One I had to cancel as they expected me to wait 2 months for a curtain pole the other was where part of my order was late, I received a vague text explaining it was late but still a priority then heard no more for a month. I've complained and am cuurently awaiting an explanation as the tracker still says estimated delivery is a month ago! My partner has also had major issues while trying to buy a ps4 and their customer service has been no help.

Paid £3 extra to have it delivered between 7am-12pm... 1.45pm and still no delivery! Didn't even leave newton Abbot until 10.33am and I'm only in Plymouth! Safe to say, I am not paying that £3 delivery charge, and I am not ever buying from very again. Especially as I later seen it is cheaper elsewhere... By £50!

AVOID I ordered a tumble dryer, it was delivered but was the wrong model. I was out and hubby took delivery and being the pro active guy he is unwrapped and plugged it in. NOTHING ELSE When I got home I realised it was wrong and rang very to complain. They said as it was connected it was to late.... Connected by a PLUG???? Then I tried to register the appliance after seemingly having to lump the wrong one but the stickers on the front didn't match the manafacturer?? Then to top it off it broke within a day!!!! After a lot of upset and a pretty good rant from hubby they agreed to refund. The staff are rude and do not understand or listen. Hate this company !!
