In an attempt to make this useful rather than coming across as a rant, my experience is as follows : - Chat service : it's actually quicker to call than use this service. I spent 30 mins asking one question and gave up as I couldn't get a straight answer. English didn't appear to be their first language. - Customer service : called 5 times, mostly getting through to an Irish call center. 1 guy did genuinely try to help but it appears that he couldn't do anything due to company policies. As for the others, I guess they were in the same boat but lacked the people skills. All the frustration could have been avoided if they would have answered my initial question plainly. - Complaints : Took about 40 minutes to get through to them. They were sympathetic but ultimately powerless. What frustrated me was that they told me one thing (as I had already given my 30 days notice she would cancel my contract so it would stop immediately) and did another (gave 30 days notice and asked me to call another department to get the refund that I was due only to find that when I called the other department they couldn't do anything). As a result of all of this, I've spent 4 hours calling the various different vodafone customer service centers and haven't got anywhere. So I am still paying for 2 Vodafone contracts, and will have to pay for these 2 contracts for yet another 30 days. I regret staying with Vodafone, it's obviously much easier to switch than it is to stay.

Vodafone customer service is truly the worst of any company i deal with. The website log on system never works. I constantly am asked to rest my password. I have been trying to get a fully itemised bill sent to me for several months and it seems beyond Vodafone's ability to process this simple request. I have wasted hours on the phone to Vodafone. Appalling. Avoid at all costs.

Spent an hour being passed back and forth to different numbers, which then just sent me back to the same place, which I wasted an hour doing! The way that the main menu on the Vodafone helpline is done is absolutely terrible as my issue did not come under any catagory on that main menu! I finally got in touch with an advisor who then sent me to the wrong place, the customer service helpline is awful! If anyone needs help, use the live chat that is available on the Vodafone website as my issue was resolved within 10 minutes! If I had the option I would have not even given one star!

The issues begin when you call them, the chat service is legit and people are way more polite when not on the phone. So basically I just received my phone through post I was expecting an S8 plus and the sent me an S8. I call to resolve the issue and their team was so arrogant and they even argued that I received the right parcel but I was mistaken. Apart from tha according to my deal I was meant to receive a Free Accessory Bundle which I did but according to them I should return and I am not eligible for one since the Bundles for the S8 plus are long gone. The person on the phone was no impolite. I am really disappointed from their performance I have been a customer for the last 4 years and I would expect at least an apology for all the inconvenience that Im going through, nevertheless nothing.

Awful, awful money-making company! I have been with Vodafone for several years and without doubt paid for my handsets several times over. As others have commented, their customer service has rapidly declined. My phone is broken - It does not work at all. As an insurance payer, I presumed a new phone would be couriered out to be asap. Wrong, instead, I am advised to visit a Vodafone store and get a courtesy phone there, while mine is being repaired. Vodafone are unable to tell me which stores have courtesy phones available. The Vodafone stores are also unable to tell me where there is a courtesy phone available. Numerous Vodafone stores have no contact number listed online to enquire. Which means you are left to trawl the Vodafone stores in person to search for a courtesy phone, which perhaps exits in Vodafone's parallel universe. Four Vodafone stores in, two in central London and guess what they do not have any courtesy phones available, however they can sell me a new phone, a new contract a new internet service provided by them and then I can have a new phone right there on the spot! What an earth have I been paying my insurance for? The manager said to me today, that he doubts very much that I will find a courtesy phone anywhere. But if I sign a new contract for 24 months a phone is right there for me! Needless to say, Vodafone has forever lost my custom and recommendation.

The only reasons this company even gets 1 star is so I can review them. I have been with Vodafone for several years and up until the end of last year I had no problem at all, they were accommodating, polite and had excellent customer service. Then I renewed my contract and took out an Ipad on top of my existing line and it all went from bad to worse to atrocious. Before I even get into my rant, has anyone ever had a phone call less than 30 minutes?. I opted once for them to call me back which they did but I was instantly put on hold for another 30 minutes after waiting 50 minutes for them to call me back in the first place!!!! From the moment I ordered the Ipad I was lied to time and time again, promised it would be delivered on a specific day 3 times, promised phone calls back yet never received one the dozens of times that I have called and spoken to customer services. Each time I have phoned customer services I have to repeat the whole issue over and over, its there in the records of my account!!!!. I have emailed, written, called and requested to speak to someone over and over, yet not one phone call have I had to address the continual lies and shocking service I have received. I was advised to go to a store even after being assured they had the item in stock, arrive at store and surprise surprise not in stock. Vodafone has wasted over 26 hours of my time in the last 7 months, 2 days ago you even had the nerve to take 3 payments from my card and then deny it all. I even have a transcript of them denying it, yet when I phone shortly afterwards they accept they have done it and now will refund the money THEY took out instantly yet I have to wait up to 5 days to receive it. I WILL be cancelling my contract and when they send me my remaining contract bill I will send it back with my own bill for the 26 hours of my time you have wasted to be deducted from it along with the costs for the stress and anxiety you have caused me over the last 7 months. Vodafone you are truly shocking in ways I cannot comprehend. You find it acceptable to LIE to your customers, to IGNORE your customers & treat them like DIRT on your shoes. Well no more will you have my custom and I will broadcast my whole story on every media outlet I have at my disposal, I will be reporting you to your Regulators and anyone else that should be alerted to your atrocious treatment of people.

where can I begin...crap crap crap don't ever sign with them! they try to steal me money in cutting my internet off because i made calls to Africa??( i was not even home during that period and I'm not black) and my balance was overdue. I don't even have a home phone!! i called the costumer service 4 times who asked me on and on again when i was going to pay my bill without trying to resolve my problem.hard to understand their northen accents and the women were really rude. the line was cut off 4 times, they didn't even call me back so i had to go through the recorded female voice again that don't undestand a word I say. the music on hold makes your ears bleed and they ask you security questions everytime you call even if you called seconds ago. is so damn hard to get one person on a case instead of spreading it to a unqualified team?! Ispent all afternoon on the phone to resolve nothing.plus the indian guy who installed my broadband was not friendly and a misogynist.AVOID.

i have been a Vodafone Customer for 22 years in that time i have not been able to download any bills from my online portal. i have put up with this asking them every Qtr to email me the bills. i have currently have 4 lines with them which i use for my business. Until 2 weeks ago this worked fine sort of 3 bars and 3G service. 2 weeks ago the service stopped no network coverage. after phoning them every day and getting no where with them i was told by agent that this the best it was going to get. i said what no service that i. to which he replied yep that's it. so i decided to cancel my contract and now they are trying to charge me £400 to leave in termination charges for service i dont have. i think after 22 years as a loyal customer this is a disgrace and Vodafone you should be ashamed of yourself. Will be glad to see the back of you. really really bad company.

Didn't realise I had to end My 24 month in writing? I just stopped my direct debit after 24 months. I'd had nothing but nightmares with Vodafone.eg no signal for months due to mast being down ect !!! But TWO!!!years after the finished contract iv just received a bay lift letter for £133. After spending a frustrating hour on the phone no joy. I said I didn't realise I owed them ANY money they had NEVER CONTACTED ME SO I COULD PUT IT RIGHT. and they said they had sent me a letter TWO !!!!YEARS AGO ????I asked why they never phoned me or wrote to me again but it's all a waste of frustrating time you just get passed around and they just make up excuses and tell lies. Iv now got a big bill to pay the money grabbing bay lifts. Thanks Vodafone !!

Over 25 minutes waiting on the line to cancel (gave up after that). No call back even though I confirmed it had been recorded. Chat line very slow and tedious. Vodafone make the whole experience of querying your account or leaving so tedious that they must deter about 75% of their customers seeing it through. Well over an hour wasted today on something that would take 5 minutes with another reputable company. They increased my monthly bill with no communication whatsoever and now cannot be bothered to go through the whole process again with these people. Shameful organisation.

Worst mobile phone provider I have ever had the misfortune to be on. My contract with them ended four months ago and they are refusing to unlock my phone. Customer service is horrific, they don't know anything about what they're on about. My contract is finished with them, I have filled out countless forms, but no. I cant put anything but a silly vodaphone SIM card in it. I am having to go to the ombudsman to sort this issue. Completely incompetent company. Will never go back, 100% would not recommend

Awful customer service, the people in the store ignore you (even if you've been waiting for half an hour!), then often they can't help you anyway and tell you to call the service desk, it's so hard to top up, then they sell you products that such as the Big Value Deal (No value deal!) where 'you will get international allowance of 500MB, 100 minutes and 100 texts in our Europe zone' then it doesn't work even after they've sent you a welcome text telling you about your allowance and you call them they say they can't provide that service because the UK government made it ILLEGAL!! Well, if it's illegal don't go advertising services and letting your customers get stranded in new countries in the middle of the night with no access to telecommunications. My friend used 3 for a trip around Europe and it was perfect.
