My experience with the Wickes Muswell Hill store reflectes how Wickes is unprofessional and not a company to trust. The above store designer agreed with us that we post our London property key to her store so a surveyor can go prior to our placing and order as we live outside London. That's after playing many games about the offer regarding the pricing which was going to cost us 20000 GBP for the kitchen and bathroom, something we were willing to pay for a integrate, trustworthy and honest company. But she played games to trick us to commit and pay upfront then face more hidden costs. Before we realised the games, we sent our property key to them using secure post. But because we then disagreed to pay the deposit first and said we won't go ahead with the order, the vindictive store designer and her manager refused to post our key back to us. We live outside London and the lockdown can go on for months, which means we cannot possible collect the keys ourselves. Once they took possession of the key and we didn't progress the order, they are refusing to send it back. They first said that sending it back was conditional on our placing an order! Ridiculous claim indeed. Then oh it's not store policy to post the key back: if so, why did they accept for the key to be sent to them and posted back in the first place? We have evidence emails and texts. Then when I contacted customer service, the new lie was we are short of staff so have no time to post it. Also evidenced in an email!! Then, when we posted a review here, we received more lies from Wicked and again they continue to hold on to our key at their Muswell Hill store. I contacted the customer relations manager as well as the CEO and will relentlessly continue to escalate and expose their lies and poor staff. I also reported the incident to the police so if anything happens to our now insecure property, Wicked Wickes and its staff will be held responsible. It's amazing how trusting the Wickes name was such a big mistake. My advice is to run away from Wickes and their lies. Otherwise you will have a problem with your property, like us. I will continue to tell the story everywhere to protect other customers.

Do not touch Wicks. I have a kitchen fitted 3 months ago, a side panel and edging was missing. I have had these two items for nearly two months and no-one has come back to fit them. After numerous emails to sales person, messages to fitter, both of whom are ignoring me I resorted to emailing customer services, who are also ignoring me. Great up until they have got your money, then don't want to know. They have consequently lost a new bathroom sale from me, and a kitchen and bathroom sale from a friend.

Went to 4 different shops because website said they had 1 in stock only for staff to try to sell me a faulty item that someone else had returned! Surely if something is returned then it shouldn't be sold again and cant believe a major retailer does not have systems in place to prevent this! Also the router I returned to Baguley store on 5/1/21 is now also showing on the website as back in stock despite me telling counter staff that it was faulty! Extremely poor

Absolutely terrible service, had a bathroom installed within the 1st year had so many issues eg: leaking shower tray, shower tray over flowing as water not draining away fast enough, shower tap jamming when on, sistern running after flushing toilet as the ballcock was stuck, floor cracked after a year. Had to keep chasing up for repairs that are still not all fixed. Now told floor is wear and tear as its been down a year.

AVOID WICKES AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE!! Needed to completely refit two bathrooms. Made appointment with Design Consultant who was very competent and helpful. Due to availability of my installer it was critical the all items were delivered within 4 weeks. Design Consultant has no visibility of stock levels!!. Placed order and told would have phone call or e mail following week confirming availability and to arrange delivery date. Also placed in store order for tiles and arranged delivery date at time of purchase. Had contact from Wickes as promised following week to arrange delivery of main order - so far so good. Two weeks later and two weeks before due delivery had phone call from Wickes Customer Service saying that some of my items were on a twelve week delivery and some on a six week delivery. No concern or apology from Wickes that this would seriously affect my plans as my installer was fully committed elsewhere until Spring 2021. Spoke to Design Consultant who said as he could not see what was in stock he would get someone from Customers Services to contact me that day who did have visibility of stock levels to see if suitable alternatives could be provided to meet my commitment . No phone call that day, waited another two days then cancelled orders for bathroom fittings and tiles. Two weeks later van turns up with tiles!!. Driver not pleased when I told the order had been cancelled and he take the tiles back. Although the money for the main order was refunded quickly it has taken me almost a month to get the money for the tiles refunded. Wicked have no concept of customer service and no empathy with customers when they fail to fulfil their promises. To cap it all after I cancelled my orders a little while later I received an e mail from Wickes thanking me for my order and attaching a 10% off voucher for paint etc to complete my project. I responded thanking them for their kind gesture but asked if I could have a B&Q voucher instead as I would never step inside a Wickes store again!!! Funnily enough did not get any reply.

FIRST & LAST TIME I WILL USE WICKES!!! Ordered for the first time ever and been TOTALLY let down. Chose a Delivery Date, got text confirmation on the morning of delivery that it would be delivered on chosen/given date (21.12.20) - NOTHING (having waited in ALL day for an ALL DAY delivery slot!! Went on Wickes "Track my Order" link - Said my Order had been delivered!!?? Contacted the call centre on 22.12.20 - who confirmed that on THEIR Tracking system it had NOT yet been delivered and was out for delivery on 22.12.20. So again waited ALL day - SURPRISE SURPRISE - NOTHING AGAIN!!! Called Customer Services again today 23.12.20 and NO APOLOGY and now been told that I have to wait until Wickes have contacted the Courier and heard back BEFORE they process my Refund, which then will take 14 Working days!!!!!! TOTALLY UNNACCEPTABLE, WHOLLY INEFFICIENT AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BEWARE!!!!! I WILL NEVER USE A WICKES STORE/ONLINE EVER AGAIN

Wickes bathroom fitter. Flooring was over ordered and we got a refund on some of it but other items we are still stuck with. The fan for the shower, picked by the designer, was not suitable so I had to go to Wickes to get a refund and purchase the appropriate fan for the electrician which works fine. Now after 12 months the floor is starting to come up. Luckily still got some opened boxes of it in the loft and will be going in to Wickes soon to see what can be done, but not hopefull. Even though you have a fitter appointed by Wickes all the other `tradesmen` are self employed. We would not recommend Wickes to anybody.

What went right would be much quicker. Bathroom ordered in September. Work started in November. Middle of January it is still unfinished. Part of the toilet was delivered and part of it was missing. It turned out that the toilet was discontinued. We had to source the toilet ourselves. The sink worktop was missing in the delivery and it took phone call after a phone call to sort it out. We were dealing with the most inefficient Customer Services Agents who promised to do things and never did them. The pump was not delivered on time and we had to chase and chase that too. One of the shower panels was the wrong size and it is still to be delivered. The fitter had to fit one correct and one incorrect size!!!! It is still be swapped! The cabinet above the sink was incorrect size ( too large) and the correct one one was supposedly delivered on the 19th of December and despite the confirmation of delivery e mails it never arrived. The delivery can not be traced on line as the delivery number is not recognised! Wickes is the most inefficient company I have ever dealt with. We were planning to have our kitchen done and needless to say they will never ever be used again. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing and how they are still in the business is beyond me but rest assured I will advertise this chain of incompetencies everywhere. This is just a start.

Went to Kettering store the other day and it looks like it’s ready to close down. Lots of empty shelves. Saw an item I wanted online, supposedly 8 of them in stock but the item’s size wasn’t given in the description. So I went to the store to look at the item before buying. No sign of the item on the shelf and not even a price ticket to show where it should have been. Gave up. Probably just as well because only one till open so a very long queue. Meanwhile, my partner went to customer service desk for a click & collect item. Member of staff (who was only partially wearing her face mask) just walked away! Turns out she went to swap places with a colleague but she didn’t say a word! What a shambles. Wickes should be embarrassed

Wickes promised me a kitchen but did not expect it to take 3 months to arrive. Don’t go to Wickes for your kitchen. Very stressful experience for myself and my builder. Customer service bad quality. Promises they could not keep. Too many texts and then cancelling delivery the day before. No sink to install worktop. Unbelievable, even at the very top the CEO David Wood office. They don’t appreciate their customers enough to spend that kind of money. Never had such a bad experience like this.

We ordered a kitchen back in February from wicks and obviously because of covid the fit was pushed back. We finally received delivery of the kitchen in early June although a number of items were still missing. The fit didn’t commence until almost two weeks later meaning that one of the rooms in are house was unable to be used with no communication from the wicks office as to time frames. The time frame for the fit given to us was two weeks this stretched out to over three weeks again with no communication from the office. The fit in general was to a good stand but still a few things that we let go as this process had allready taken any enjoyment and excitement out of having a new kitchen. One issue we had was the fact that the boiler unit was fitted out of level meaning it was catching on the worktop. The fitter came to fix this issue but instead of levelling the unit just lifted the hinges with screws resulting in using the wrong length coming through the unit. Now we are currently in the process of waiting for a signal panel to hide the damage made to the unit this should of been ordered a month ago yet still waiting on delivery. 6months has gone and still the kitchen is not complete the office are not responsive promise the world but follow through with none of the promises made all in all this has been a very stressful and upsetting experience Advice to anyone is to not release any money to wicks until 100% happy and don’t take up the interest free credit as this means they get there money before completing the fit resulting in them no longer seeing you as a priority

Absolutely horrendous experience with customer service, several members of the team have mislead us and actually told us outright lies. They do no respond to emails regarding our issues with them, we are out of pocket over ÂŁ1,000 due to their errors and all they will say is "it is unfortunate".

Have shopped in Wickes for many years but they've taken their eye off the ball. Experience in shop today where an item was marked one price and they tried to charge more. Then he couldn't leave till to check. All very last century. Will be shopping at Screwfix in future whenever possible.

Brentwood store is terrible - both with click and collect (have had two recent orders when been phoned back several hours later to be told no stock available) and in-store. Customer service also very poor (vs other DIY chains). Clearly hasn't used the benefit of increased DIY demand to invest in either store or staff

What a shambles. Their website's checkout provided nowhere to enter card numbers (i.e. no way to pay them). Their telephone sales people were able to put the transaction through after taking my details, but then I got an email saying "Regrettably, we are unable to process your order on this occasion."
