I wanted to buy some bark clippings, Wickes seemed to have a reasonable product and, according to their website, my closest Wickes branch had 14 bags in stock. But in fact, they had none. The assistant there asked if I'd checked their branch on line and I said yes, and they showed stock. He checked while I was there and agreed that their site showed stock, but said they'd been out of stock for a while. When I said what is the point of showing stock if they don't actually he have any, he said: "No point". He said that the nearest store with stock was Minworth - 40 miles away. So when I got home I phoned customer services. The guy there apologised and said he'd speak to their IT dept. I pointed out that there were around 20 stores showing stock closer than Minworth but did they actually have stock? How would I know? He eventually agreed to contact the two closest stores and get them to call with with what their physical stock was. Having heard nothing for 24 hours, I called customer services again. This time, their representative said he would call the next closest store and check on the stock; he couldn't get through so told me that he had emailed them for a response - he promised that he would then call me with the relevant stock info. I heard nothing, so decided to risk another trip, and did actually get the bags I wanted. Moral of the story: don't believe Wickes's online store stock figures and don't expect their customer service teams to act on what they promise.

My sister had the planner come to design a new kitchen and a builder recommended by wicks. They started work December 3rd 2019. The planner had got so many mistakes builders tried to do it as best as they could. Should have been finished by Christmas finally finished August 2020!!! Tiles were cracking measurements all out so many things wrong. No sink or hob at Christmas. My sister also had cancer at the time which they knew. Aftercare appalling. They offered her 450 pounds yesterday and considering they had to eat out most of the time over that period it’s appalling. I am writing this as she’s in bed know so upset. Sadly I recommend them never again. We are telling everybody we know how disgusting Wicks have treated them!!a,

After waiting nearly 2 weeks for a call regarding appointment for kitchen plan at the Hull branch I was told an estimated price for an 8 unit kitchen would be from £8000 to £10000 and this was supposedly at 50%off crazy! I am guessing the guy I was talking to did not want any business! Needless to say we never took it any further.

Already reported abysmal service. Danielle was sent email . 5 days later , no reply. Ordered and paid for 4 paints . Plus delivery £ 7.99 . I paint was missing . Phoned customer services , told to take reciept/ email confirming payment , to local store and ( 1 ) get paint I had paid for , and (2) get refund for delivery. When myself and my son went to local store ( hanworth ) we recieved antagonistic response from store manager , abuse from a girl on desk ... and intimidated by security on managers request! . Still , a week later .. no paint-! No replies ! At this time , I am £20 owed, and nothing from @wickes.

Half delivery came and I had to chase wickes for the missing order. Called call centre about 7 times to get false promises and to be on hold for 45mins and then to be cut off twice. Requested for a call back from management 3 times and no one called me back. Still havnt had my order after 5 days!!! Poor customer service from a big branded name. Very disappointed.

I bought my kitchen from wicks in 2018. Was recommended a so called best fitter by the lady who planned my kitchen. Fitter was smooth talking, employed all workers from other countries who did not speak any English boss was never around so to communicate was difficult with these guys. The very first week there was a gas leak as these guys were not gas safe registered. I'm lucky to be alive and my house not blown away. Washing machine was not fitted properly so when used for the first time I had to stop as it was shaking so badly I thought it will jump out of the cabinet as I have all integrated appliances same with my dish washer which I can't use. Outlet pipes are or jumbled under kitchen sink. All the appliances have started to go wrong. Within a year I had to change my oven still not okay. Go without a kitchen but don't buy your new kitchen from Wicks. Poor and shoddy service from start to finish.

Received a Keter storage box - £118. Assembled it - it took many hours as I am a pensioner - this is a lot of time and money for me. When I came to fit the last part - a door - it had the hinge fitting broken off. I simply requested a replacement door from Wickes - as thats the only thing needed. I was told I had to dissassemble the whole item, repack in its box (it didnt come in a box - just plastic wrap) - and then I had to arrange collection. I told them as a pensioner this is something I cannot do. I was told - thats their policy. The first - and last time I will ever buy from Wickes. I will now contact Trading Standards etc to see if they can help - and as I am retired I will make as many posts as I can to alert others. Wickes - its not a good idea to upset pensioners. Buyers - you have been warned.

i ordered a garden gate online, just before lockdown, i didnt unwrap and check it as i am disabled, the person who was fitting the gate didnt come until after lockdown, unwrapped the gate and it was damaged in 3 places, i rung customer services and sent a letter for a refund but they have refused, so now i have a gate that is not fit for purpose and £88 down and in these unprecedented times you would think there would have been a bit of discretion but no. obviously not bothered about customers, so my advice is do not buy a garden gate without seeing it in the store . what a shambles this service is. i would have thought that it it iilegal to sell something that is not fit for purpose, and not as described !!!!!

BUYER BEWARE.I ordered my kitchen online but due to coronavirus my builder was late installing.Slight change to my design meant 4 large end panels were no longer required amounting to £300 pound roughly but I needed to buy more stuff amounting to over £500.BUT GUESS WHAT! My 30 day returns limit had passed so I'm stuck with 4 large panels and still have to by more from this company when they have been really helpful to me NOT.I work for the NHS and i hope if they have a problem and need to return, they get the same responses I have.

Wickes kitchen customer service awful. Delivery of kitchen took 6 weeks to complete. Four separate delivery days to complete after separate calls to customer service with 30 minutes on hold. I then had to reschedule tradesmen after each delivery date because I was each time I told all items would be delivered and they were not.

I ordered a brand-new kitchen from Wickes in December 2019; everything went smoothly at the planning stage. The kitchen was delivered and about a week later my kitchen installer came around to install it (this was the earliest he could install it), on installing the worktops he noticed they were warped/bowed in the middle so there was a gap where the sink sat and it was not flush where the 2 worktops met (laminate worktops). Went back to Wickes and they basically just fobbed me off with excuses then ignored my emails until I found an email for Customer Relations, the first excuse was that the worktop was not installed correctly but they did not clarify how they were installed incorrectly, second excuse was that I did not use the 72 hour window to report this damaged item however, I explained to them the worktops did not look damaged on delivery, you could not tell they were warped/bowed by just looking at them and a customer will not know to check this. The final excuse was the worktops were not stored correctly by myself, the delivery team placed the worktops flat so I do not understand how they came to this conclusion. At the end Wickes replied: "Unfortunately, Wickes will not be able to help in this instance as every time I have reported the issue further the answer is still an install/storage issue." I used Wickes to avoid issue however they have been terrible to deal with, once they sell it they are not interested, they suggest I purchase new worktops and Sheridan’s (Wickes supplier) will give me 50% off, so I am expected to purchase new worktops to replace faulty ones provided to me in the first place and pay someone to fit them again. Personally, I will be avoiding Wickes for such purchases in the future however, if you do purchase such an item, check the items with a spirit level at delivery and report anything back to them within 72 hours or they will not help. Also pay via Credit Card so you can get the bank involved when they fob you off as I am sure they will, unfortunately I did not pay by credit card so I now have uneven worktops which I need to sort out.

Look at the reviews it tells the same story, don’t trust anything you read online about stock level, went to buy a jet wash said 2 in stock, all that they had was an empty box.Months later went to buy LED plinth lights said 2 in stock went all way to store guess what? Yip none in stock.Same story on every review how anybody would spend thousands on a kitchen or bathroom is beyond me or expect anything delivered only buy from Wickes if it’s on shelf and your in store and even then I would open box before you take it home if possible because if you have anything missing good luck trying to solve it

Had a Keter garden storage unit delivered today. Opening the box we found bits of plastic chipped off in various places, steel frame bent, and multiple cracks. Wish I’d read Wickes reviews before we ordered! I will be making a complaint but going by other reviews it’s not going to make any difference at all is it? Never again, will I purchase anything from Wickes!!!’

This is specifically about Wickes online and delivery service. The shops are good and became my goto DIY store once B&Q starting having those vast US-style warehouses. I bought a flat pack kitchen from Wickes online. - Their website is poorly designed and inefficient to use. - Their payment system is unreliable - it actually looked like I'd ordered then it cancelled it due to some combination of what I was buying. It was just fortunate that I double checked otherwise I'd have been wondering why it was not delivered a couple of days later. - Speaking of which: it wasn't delivered on time! Their website says Next Day delivery. It offered me deliveries two days later. I'm still waiting for delivery, so perhaps a better description would be Next Week delivery. - Wickes use an awful, unreliable courier service called DX. Unless they change who they use, they will lose online customers. As it stands I will avoid using Wickes online, but will continue to visit their stores.

Terrible experience Totally unprofessional, no consideration for customers. Just Look at the reviews they speak for themselves as long as they got your money they really do not care what happens after that. 2nd Time they made arrangement to delivery and day off again with DX and no show again I waited in all day for the delivery and still it did not arrive we are at another weekend when I need this tool. That’s now 2 days at home to receive the Wickes delivery 1 trying to delivery to the wrong house. And l presume a no show. This is now very frustrating as I am being told thing that are not happening. There is my house name on my gates it’s quite clearly marked.

Wickes plc are a dishonest, uncaring, unprofessional, complete in consideration for customers. I ordered a parasol which arrived trashed direct from supplier. My money ha been debited from my bank account and they are stalling to refund. I will be contacting the police on this matter as the service is corrupt. Even got Ben swearing down the phone to me. This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with.

Have used Wickes a few times recently using both, Click & collect & delivery service, both worked really well but can't say the same about the staff in store! The lady that seved me was rude, abrupt & really couldn't be bothered, she used no manners what so ever, even sighed and shook her head at me at one point!

Terrible experience. Ordered 2 of a product (needed 5 really, but apparently only 2 in stock). Told when they were picking it that there was only 1 in stock. A few days later, I ordered another 1, which it said was in stock again, and got another call to say it was no longer in stock. If only they'd update their website with accurate stock levels. I don't go into the store at the moment, because they make you queue for ages, so what other option than to give up buying from them.
