Bought a bicycle from argos on November the 14th of this year from there online store, unboxed it and put it together as instructed but after my first ride on it I found the crank had became loose. Tightened it as best as I could with the limited tools that were supplied and next day went out same problem repeated the process then day after day of same sort of thing. Yesterday it was so bad that I thought something was gonna drop off it so I rang argos today thinking its only been about a month since I bought it so should be no problem to have a replacement bike sent but I was wrong. Got told to ring the supplier even tho I bought the bike from argos?,rang them they seemed to accept my problem then got told I could be sent a replacement part that I would then have to source a local mechanic to install and id have to pay for the privalidge. How can this be right?,i bought it from argos site not some other supplier and then just because its a fixable problem I cant have a replacement even tho the bike was at fault from day one?,i need it to get to work and back and like most people id have thought if I tighten it then the problem would stop which I did but it didn't. What happened to the old days when you bought something its faulty and so you get your money back or an exchange if you do this within a reasonable time period,ok you might argue it was slightly outside the 30 day period but I paid on the 14th November but then had to wait a few days for it to be delivered so its more or less within the time as its only 21st December when Im writing this. Pretty sure I had something along these lines happen to a bike I bought from amazon and had no problems having it exchanged for the same model and so I went and bought a new one today from them and its the last time im gonna buy from argos unless its something I cannot get elsewere. Looking at the recent one star argos reviews it seems im not alone as well. Merry Christmas argos you grinch.

Had to return 2 game controllers purchased in error & thus never opened. Would only accept one as one box had a drip of water on it. Box was unopened but shop assistant ripped open & destroyed box thus I am unable to even sell on now! I should have been given the option whether I wanted to continue with the return & give permission for 'my property' to be tampered with. No permission was sought by the assistant nor given by me before she ripped the box open rendering the contents practically worthless. Think very carefully before shopping here as I am not the first person to have been treated so shabbily at this particular store. Will never be back!

Had two corner sofas and after 8 months the back panel broken due to poor design. Argos sent their repair guys out and they ordered the parts, the parts failed to arrive and after 5 months going back and forth, I instructed Argos to just take the sofas away and refund me, Argos we’re happy to do this and booked collection but they failed to collect the sofas on 3 occasions, now I am waiting for the 4th attempt. NEVER BUY FURNITURE FROM ARGOS AS THEY DONT LAST AND ARE MADE OF REALLY BAD QUALITY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AS THE DONT DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO.

WALLET STOLEN BY ARGOS DELIVERYMAN Dealing with ARGOS over the last couple of weeks has been a painful experience. I ordered a sofa, which finally arrived (one week late and after numerous phone calls to find out where it was). Then, on the day of delivery, one of the delivery men from ARGOS (whilst in my house) stole my wallet and work I.D. When I noticed the wallet and I.D was missing I rang the delivery crew and asked them to return. They denied taking the wallet and I.D, however agreed to return, but not before stating that I would have to apologise to them for accusing them of theft! When the delivery crew finally returned an hour later I informed them that I would be contacting the police. At this point one of the delivery crew from ARGOS was spotted taking my work I.D out of his pocket and discarding it under a nearby car. When the police arrived the ARGOS delivery truck was searched and my bank cards were found in the drivers cabin of the delivery truck hidden behind one of the seats! The ARGOS delivery man who was seen discarding my work I.D was also searched and found in possession of a crack pipe! The ARGOS delivery man was arrested, but I am still out of pocket. I will have to get my driving licence replaced at a cost, I had an old antique coin in my wallet of sentimental value which is now missing as well as some other forms of I.D and documentation. This has been a massive inconvenience. The following morning was spent cancelling all my cards, ordering replacements and it subsequently caused problems on a day I had planned to take my kids Xmas shopping. The only thing worse than this is the way we have subsequently been treated by ARGOS customer services. They were contacted straight away and we were promised a call back. No call back received. We called the next day and we were told the department we want to speak to don’t work weekends. Called on Monday and told someone would call us back. We didn’t receive any call back. After each and every phone call with ARGOS I feel there is a deliberate policy of making any form of complaint or obtaining any form of reasonable recompence as difficult as possible. Numerous promises of someone calling back, which never materialise and then having to contact them once again and explain the whole situation for the umpteenth time. After finally getting someone from the Investigations Team to look at it, they closed the investigation almost immediately and said there is nothing they could do! They weren’t even able to tell me if the deliveryman still worked for them or not. I remain out of pocket as a result. The sofa had a big stain on it aswell which I can’t get rid of, but I didn’t even bother complaining about that as I knew I wouldn’t get anywhere

Buyers beware - Argos vouchers are only valid for 22 days!!! Buyers beware! Argos Vouchers expire VERY, VERY fast (22 days!!!) AND won’t get honoured by the company, if you try to use them too late (20 days)! I bought a new laptop at the end of October and received a £10 voucher from our local Argos store. What I didn’t know was that unlike Sport’s Direct (2 years expiration) and other retailers who offer vouchers, as a reward for spending X amount of money per purchase, Argos vouchers have an unreasonable short expiration date of just 22 days. So when I went to buy two items at Argos today (13 December 2018), I was told by the cashier that my voucher had expired. She advised me to contact the Argos customer service team, which I did via their online support chat. According to the online support team Mat & Anna, customers should read the Terms & Conditions, to find out more about the Argos voucher system. I couldn’t believe that Argos would not honour their own voucher! Now mind the dates here: Voucher received: 29 October 2018 Voucher expire date: 20 November 2018 (22 Days) According to Which.co.uk the average validity for a voucher is between 3-12 months! Argos, THIS is not how you treat your customers! Since I have been a customer for the past 7 years, spending literally thousands of pounds on your products, you clearly don't understand the concept of customer lifetime value!!!

Ordered matching chest of drawers and wardrobe Myra ready assembled and paid alot of money for them. On delivery I had already waited 3 weeks and wardrobe was damaged, probably by the way other furniture had been stacked on top of it. Delivery man said would send replacement. I phoned Argos and explained i already waited a while and need item before Xmas as promised daughter her bedroom would be done for her for Xmas. Customer service representative said they cannot help as using external delivery company or give me a time frame. Since that useless information i have received message saying replacement won't arrive until after New year so that will be 7 weeks of waiting. Not acceptable at all. I tried to complain but they have made that so hard to do also. There is no email address to send complaint. You either have to phone on premium rate number or write in by post which is ancient. Live chat does not seem to be accessible (does not load). Daughter let down which is very upsetting to me. I will never purchase from Argos again as level of customer service is non existent.

I purchased a product from argos 3 weeks ago firstly they sent me the wrong item to start with and then when i had it collected for a refund all they have refunded was the £3.95 shipping fee but they kept the money for the actual item this is shocking for a business this big. As its shown as a partial refund on my account due to the £3.95 shipping fee been refunded i cant raise a claim via paypal and customer services at argos are a absolute joke they just keep telling me it been refunded however i have had no confirmation of this and still no refund 3 weeks later. The only details of a refund i have are for the shipping fee so 3 weeks later where the hell is my money Argos? Refunded erm no it isnt.....Will never purchase from these robbing morons again......say be to a regular customer fools... toodles...

Where do you start with this shambles of a company? Purchased laptop, returned unopened, obviously unused with receipt. Denied a refund as a high value item.. Manager vanished behind back of store and ran off...thanks Whitechapel branch! Customer service said his discretion, try another branch. Actually, I believe it was racially motivated, as I'm non Muslim, but that cannot be proved. Don't bother with this company, shop online where they can't see what colour you are.

The system took my money then kicked me out without confirming the order - I called customer service - they point-blank refused to put the order up manually and gave me two options: wait 3 days for a refund or 2 days for the order to go up again... What kind of madness is that? Apparently, the reorder team are so busy dealing with the fact that this fault on the website HAPPENS ALOT !!!! Be warned !!!!

Argos online chat is awful. Twice now I have been lied to by the person I spoke to regarding 2 separate missing/non delivery. Argos should be ashamed of the online chat service they offer!! Disgraceful a big company can deliver that kind of service.

I purchased last Sunday a new freezer, a blender and a table. My delivery had to be split in two due to the large size of the freezer. I have been waiting all day to get a time slot from my order ( literally I have spent all Saturday at home waiting for my freezer) when I decided to call customer service the reply was that there was an issue and my order was not scheduled, my option would be or waiting next Wed, or in my case that Im working during the week, next 22nd of December, 20 DAYS AFTER MY PURCHASE. I spent in the last month over £700 in Argos, and the delivery service is just a joke. I did not received any solution or alternative, it was myself trying to get a solution , all I got was "Im sorry about that". Bravo

I bought a 55" tv from argos via a friend as a birthday present for my partner in July. In October the tv got a crack down screen due to an accident. I bought insurance because of accidental damage 5 weeks we have been waiting for equinox to fix tv and nothing complaints department now saying we have to wait 1-5 working days for response from them then it will be another God knows how long before it gets fixed. The way I have been treated is more than disgusting why do you pay insurance when in all honesty it's useless your complaints department an absolute waste of time and effort your repairs department same

Eleanor the manager was rude and unhelpful. A Friday evening in the Church street Croydon store and they only had one person on the tills. I waited for 15 minutes to be told I couldn’t use my love to shop vouchers as the total was under £10. I informed them that I didn’t need change and she refused service until I purchased batteries (which took it WELL over the £10) and would not offer any other alternatives. I complained that Brixton Argos has allowed this twice and she grunted. I also complained about the wait and lack of till staff, to which she grunted and did not offer explanation.
