Buyer Beware Argos returns policy is impossible to comply with. I purchased a product from Argos. I opened the box took the item out and decided I liked it so much that I wanted another one. I went on line to order another one and noticed it had been reduced to half the price. Brilliant I thought! I will return to Argos and get another while getting a ‘refund & re sell’ as they advertise they do that. I had only had the product 24hrs so well within 30 day ‘refund’ policy. They refused because the box had been opened. Ok I said I will purchase a new one at the reduced price, not open the box & use my higher price receipt to return it. I said I am sure your ‘refund & re sell’ policy is in place to stop us all having to waste time like that though. They refused to sell me another & threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave the shop. 🤨 What an embarrassing waste of police time that would of been so I left the shop with an address to write to as I was told they do not have an email for complaints. I wrote to the address giving my email should they wish to reply by email ( which I was told they didn’t have) Of course I got a response by email so to me that demonstrates another tactic Argos use to make it difficult to complain and get them to honour what they say they do. 30 day returns policy - not in my experience Refund & re sell - not in my experience Argos 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

i bought 2 TX30 head phones for my kids one lasted a day it broke so i took it back with recipe and was told from 2 young girls they could not send it back cause they would have to pay the money for it they put it down to accidental damage witch i would like to know how they know that! it was not accidental damage i have red up and there very common for this fault, the service was very poor and very disappointed with them.so i went home and contacted the manufacturers and got a great response from them! more than the Argos customer service! manufacturers were not happy how Argos handled this!

Item purchased 15/2/2020 This may be some thing I have been doing wrong, but the response I received when asking for help was unbelievable the essence is I could not get any technical assistance over the phone they would rather send an engineer to my home a week later. In addition to this I made numerous calls only to join the generic merry go round. When some thing is wrong argos are failing to assist customer one day someone may understand that half the problem is Good Communication is the best way, not people telling you what they cannot do.

Good helpsorted out a suitable delivery date for big item but they could do with a technical advisor in every store like another unnamed retailer has who can make sure you know what to do when you get item home I had to be put through to panosonic helpline just to find out if my new phone needed to be switched on at handset to charge and the panosonic man seemed to have trouble grasping what I meant it was a simple question he said no I hope it works after the 7 hour charge or I will be cross ifi have to repeat it again as I was given wrong info

I had a very bad customer service experience with ARGOS. Bought on Sunday a Macbook Air charges but didn't realised that Apple changed the chargers. I wanted to return the charger to Argos but was told that I can't get a refund as there are clearly pictures online to show what charger it is. Do not buy from Argos anything Apple related. Take your time to go to an Apple Store as you at least get a better service. Never by anything from Argos again and now spent £79 for a charger I cannot use!!!!

Ordered a dishwasher on Monday, arranged to have it delivered 14.02.20, I added on installation and recycling of my old machine, all good so far, until today. Txt message from Argos asking me to call to arrange delivery date. Called and advised that I had already arranged delivery, it is clearly marked on my Visa receipt and e mail receipt. I was told that that date was not on her system, and that date was not available. Absolutely raging by now as I work full time and had booked a day off for the delivery. Went into the Argos store at lunchtime, staff slightly apologetic but did nothing to come up with a solution. Money back, went to CURRY'S. Will not be returning to Argos. Angry, disappointed, let down, poor customer service, rant over!!!

BROADWAY WARDROBE 815/4329 I don't understand how all other reviews are 5 stars, I'm  being generous affording it 3. The wardrobe is made in Poland and the instructions must have been translated from Polish because there's quite a few typos and bits that don't make sense. ( I was given the wrong hinges and it wasn't until the 5th go that they managed to send the correct ones..which took nearly 3 weeks in total. They had different instructions....and a previous reviewer I came across had the same thing so obviously Argos are not committed to improving things) There are no pre drilled holes so it's tricky to get the screws through the plastic coating. When fitting the 'wedgefixes' to keep the back board in place, this became a problem. The screws just slipped down as you turned them (it said not to use a power driver) and came through the front. The screws were too long anyway, we think. (The wedgefixes came with fitted screws (angled) in, so there's no error on our part) It looks a real mess and if I saw it in a shop in that state I would not buy it, even as a 'second'. I expected better from Argos. I will not be buying anything else from them.

Hi I would like to raise my concerns/complaint about a delivery and was given the wrong information.... I ordered a range cooker from yourselves around 4 weeks ago I do have the order number on request, when ordering the range cooker it did say 7 days delivery I thought fabulous I’ll order it, till then it said 7th February which I rang up and tried to change the delivery address within the 7 days that said on your website, to then get told the reason your waiting that long is because of installation, I did say I only wanted delivery and they said no it’s included in what you’ve paid so I cancelled the guy who was meant to install my cooker I rang up on numerous of times to clarify that it is getting installed (evidence if needed) and asked for a note to be put on my file, the woman did say she has put a note on the file I rang up maybe a week later and different lady said yes it’s getting installed there is a note on your file, the day of the delivery the delivery company rang me and told me it’s not getting delivered in the four hour time slot as it’s to heavy so they need to do half of there jobs and then deliver the item, I asked specifically for the time slots as I have plans so there for I have to rearrange my plans, I also confirmed with the delivery company that it was getting installed for them to say no, I have family members coming from London as I have recently moved in to my own property, I did receive a text message of Argos saying my delivery will be delivered and installed on the 7th February, I rang up and argos said I’m sorry but you’ve been giving miss information on numerous of times in the 4 weeks I’ve been waiting for the cooker. The customer service I have received has been disgraceful, break down in trust and has left me feeling very disappointed I am now left with a cooker sitting in my garage waiting even longer for it to be installed. If I knew I had to wait this long without a cooker and feeling very anxious about this situation I wouldn’t of ordered from yourselves. Your complaints procedure is to write a letter and post it but no one could tell me when I would get a reply I would like this resolved, I have everyone’s names I have spoken to at Argos Kind regards Sarah Carson

Very angry right now! I ordered a pair of Sennheiser HD 4.50BTNC Noise Cancelling Bluetooth/NFC Wireless Over-Ear Headphones via the Argos app. I needed these headphones right away so I opted to go here rather than John Lewis who were doing them of over £10 cheaper but with a longer wait. The app stated I could "Order now and collect in-store right away". So it seemed worth paying the extra money. However once I had paid for the headphones, I was sent a message saying the headphones would be ready to collect on Friday. I called Argos and they told me the headphones were not actually available in-store and that the app plays up sometime and there's nothing they can do to help me. Now for the next three days I have no headphones and no money to buy the headphones I want. I've used argos for years , but after this experience, I will be deleting the app and never shopping there again. . They've lost a valuable customer in me and whomever I'm able to tell this experience to.

Do NOT order large household appliances from Argos. Upon delivery the item was damaged, they took my old appliance and then informed me I had to wait 5 weeks without a washing machine!! I cancelled the order, Argos kept messaging me with the 5 week delivery date, I cancelled the order again, this was again ignored. I had to phone and cancel the order for the 3rd time! They did not give my money back, they still haven't given my money back......2 weeks after I am still waiting! Poor customer service. I ordered from Very in the end a cheaper like for like machine delivered in 5 days. You have been warned!

If I could give zero stars then I would... I ordered a washing machine and oven from Argos on January 1st and paid for delivery and installation. I took the day off work to be in for the products and used the tracking system advertised however the delivery company (DHL) were two and a half hours earlier than the tracking system said so I wasn’t at the property. They didn’t ring an hour before delivery as they were supposed to. It came to light that my items were put onto a different vehicle due to staff sickness so I was tracking the wrong lorry. Not my fault! I rushed back to the property within 20 minutes and even though the drivers had promised they would wait, they hadn’t. I spoke to many unhelpful and rude members of staff; Argos were not taking any responsibility and were blaming DHL even though my money went to Argos therefore any issues are their responsibility. I have been spoken to like dirt by many staff. A new delivery date was eventually agreed for Thursday 30th Jan and a member of my family waited in for the delivery all day. Turns out that the items we paid for were never loaded onto the delivery vehicle! Again I complained and again no one cared. I stated that the items would have to come on a weekend as I couldn’t take any more time off work and neither could my family. The loss of our earnings were accumulating plus the costs of using a launderette which I had to drive to. At 6.28 the next morning (a Friday and not a weekend) I had a phone call saying the items would be with me in an hour. I asked if I could be moved lower down the list as I wasn’t expecting the items; I was told no and there was zero flexibility. I went into work late to accommodate the delivery despite more loss of earnings. This was yesterday. My items were installed yesterday and the washing machine is leaking. Either it wasn’t fitted properly or it is faulty. Help me!!!

Awful experience with Argos - terrible customer service from the telephone CS team Reserved an item from a store 20 miles away (item wasn't available anywhere else) Spent over 2 hours & fuel to collect item. Back home, tested item was faulty (potentially a returned item) and should not have been resold. Told Argos they should at least compensate me for the wasted journey, or offer to send a working replacement. They refused and said it "was a personal choice to collect item". It wasn't a personal choice to be sold a defective item! A rude manager by the name of Rebecca refused to show any empathy and consideration for my awful experience. Was told I could hand write a complaint to the Head Office of which I would not receive any correspondence. Very bizarre as there would be no proof that my complaint will ever be dealt with. Argos has a poor dispute service and wont take responsibility for reselling returned & defective items. They hide behind a poor customer service policy which does not take into consideration the effort a consumer goes through to collect an item. They are also unwilling to take complaints via email and wont offer to post out a replacement. Other online sellers are far more receptive and the distance selling regulations in the UK are far better than when physically purchasing from a store. It makes you wonder why the high street is failing us. Argos simply hides behind a dated, inflexible and rigid Customer Service Policy which seems to make the managers think they can be rude to paying customers. Poor form Argos!!
