Ipad Air 2020 at £579. I checked stock availability 6th November (In Stock) click and collect immediate pick up, so i proceeded to purchase click and collect only to find i could not collect until Tuesday 10th November from Stoke Festival Park Argos Store once I had paid for the Ipad... Still down on website immediate collection, incorrect information on this site. I had tried to contact the store and to no avail. I contacted live chat only to be told it was a mistake on Argos website. The purpose of my order was to be able to collect the same day. Argos took my payment but then to cancel the order I have to wait upto 5 days for a refund. I ordered this item on the information i was given which is false. Live Chat is an appalling service, all they kept saying was contact the store, I had tried many times to no use, then was told to wait until the 10th, but that was not the reason for ordering from them, it was to get immediate collection. Appalling service from Argos would never order from them again. DO NOT BUY FROM ARGOS

Refused a refund for defective earphones, the girl i spoke to was grossly rude and ignorant can believe she's employed. I will never shop in Argos again and advise no one else do. Argos in Sainsbury's portswood Southampton.

Ultimately, I would not recommend either a particular Bush oven (Model no. BBDBL60ELW), or purchasing large electrical items from Argos if you need it to have a longer lifespan than 1yr and 2.5wks. Bush electric cooker (£269.99), oven section stopped working 2.5 weeks after warranty ended, leaving a 75yr old, in sheltered accommodation, with no working oven. The oven section has been rarely used. Aftersales (Argos/Bush quoted £89.99 for call out, PLUS, additional costs for parts. Argos Resolution Team, declined to apply any discretion to carry out a repair (a replacement was not being asked for), and said to obtain an independent report to say that the product was faulty at time of purchase, and then they would look at repair or replacement. All of this required, from a vulnerable adult, during a pandemic and imminent lock down! It is not expected for them to be a charity but, goods sold should be of sufficient quality and, a bit of compassionate action, given the whole of the circumstances, would not cost them much or damage business.

Very poor service over the telephone about Argos card. With being told I was paying interest as well as late payment fees each month to find out I wasn’t on a buy now pay later scheme as this wasn’t Made clear . I then spoken to two people over the phone and there was no customer service they belittled me and made me feel like a idiot. When trying to come to a solution I said I can’t pay the outstanding amount now but I will set up a direct debit for them to tell me i Would still be being charged interest . I feel as though this is a money making scheme and I have been conned over double the amount I paid For the item . I am now left skint and unable to feed my family because of this . There was no compromise and felt as though no one understood where I was coming from . It wasn’t clear that the min payment I was paying was not enough and that I would be charged late fees.

We ordered a mattress from Argos on Sunday and it was confirmed for delivery on Tuesday between 13.30 and 15.30. I was at work until 1pm but my partner was here. He took a call at 12.30 and the driver asked if we live in a block of flats which we do. The 10th floor. He asked if there was another way of getting up there without using the lift. I think it would be a little difficult dragging a double mattress up ten flights. The slot came and no mattress arrived. There was no further contact from the driver. I rang Argos and waited 20 minutes to be connected. Someone told me it would be delivered by 4. It wasn't. I waited ages for live chat and was told by Susan that she would contact the driver and ask him to ring with an expected delivery time. He didn't. I rang Argos again. A 25 minute wait. The man I was speaking to asked if I would hold on while he spoke to the transport team. This was 6.45 pm. Apparently the drivers didn't want to deliver to a tower block. What! Its at the drivers discretion. Health and safety. What did they think were the risks of using a daily cleaned lift. It's just over a week ago that I got a new washing machine from Argos and those guys were happy to bring it up in the lift and take the old one away. We're trying again on Thursday afternoon. Hopefully another crew will be prepared to bring it. If not it will be cancelled and I'll get it somewhere else. Those guys will have lost their company a sale and I will spend my £400 somewhere else. The driver should have told my partner they weren't prepared to deliver to us but I guess he didn't have the bottle. They just left us hanging. Also if they aren't prepared to do the job they are employed for then maybe they should seek alternative employment!

Bunch of cowboys. They sell broken and misslabeled goods then refuse to return or replace. Having a quick look on the internet it seems to be their business model as opposed to 'a bit of bad luck'. Stay well clear. You WILL be dissapointed. I promise.

We ordered a wasing machine 13 October, despite being in stock we were given a deliver date of 29th October. My partner went on chat 26th to ensure delivery would take place due to lockdown. He was assured it would and that he would get a phone call the day before to discuss access issues. At this stage he was informed that the delivery and installation was subcontracted to DHL. HE was told deliver would be between 7 am and 7 pm and we would not receive a four hour slot on the day. As no phone call on 28th my partner rang Argos I the evening. Was informed that the delivery was in hands of DHL and Argos had no control of delivery mnd no explanation was given as to why no phone call. A message was added to delivery note to say ring an hour before arriving . 29th no phone call, contact etc and above all no delivery. Went on chat at 5 pm, no help whatsoever. Though an email was sent to enquire. At 6 30 waited an hour to speak to some one, who again could give no answers. 30th on chat my partner was informed that DHL responded to email at 10 am saying they did not deliver because we did not answer the phone when they rang about access. We nursed the phones to snsure we did not miss a call. This was a blatant lie. They rescheduled delivery for 12th November. This was a total disgrace and my partner cancelled immediately. He now has to wait up to 2 weeks for refund. On every occasion he chased the delivery, we received nothing from Argos or DHL. Argos has no control over DHL and has no concept on customer care. WE went to AO spoke to a really nice guy. DElivery is 1st November, we have received texts confirming and telling us we will get 4 hour slot on day. Same washing machine same service £20 cheaper. I will never shop at Argos again, customers are treated with contempt

Bought a shoe rack from Argos, the item arrived with missing screws, chips and scratches. For a £100 shoe rack the quality was beyond disappointing- I'd get a better quality form a second hand product. 've organised a refund but it can be only issued to the original payment and Argos refused to provide a refund to an e-voucher. I have email evidence that I purchased the e-voucher yet I can't get a refund. It's illogical that you can offer a refund for a physical gift card but not e-card the purpose of both is the same. My money is now stuck with Argos and I will be forced to buy something from them otherwise I will lose £100!!! Argos online consultants simply disconnected my chat when they felt they have answered the question without asking if there was anything else they could help with - I've never dealt with a company that would be so unprofessional and shady. They quote laws and policies but don't have the details of what they are to justify their processes. Very poor

The worst company ever! After being a loyal customer for more than 5 years Argos decided to steal from me and did not bother to investigate more into the situation. I asked for evidence of a signed receipt from myself but didn’t get nothing. I asked for cctv proof and they ignored all my request. I reported the situation as fraud but was ignored and this has depressed me. The head office signed for my letter and did not reply to it. Giving them a star is not even worth it. Has the worst customer service! I will not rest and I will continue to give them a bad reveal as they do not care for their customers or any human’s well-being and that is worrying

No Delivery order number: 223994710 On the 25th September I have purchased a laptop. Argos should have contacted me for a delivery date. They did not. After 5 days I contacted them myself on the phone several times. I waited for hours and no one pick up the phone. I went on their chat system again several times till the 14th of October chat to different people. The outcome was that my order comes from a third party supplier. They are out of stock and their stock gets replenish often and the supplier would contact me. I was assertive that Argos has sold me a product which they do not have and my contract is with them not the supplier. As a customer they must deliver my product in a reasonable time (30 days). I have lost hope with the chat system. I was told my query has been escalated now when I post one of their chat on Argos Facebook page. Everyone who dealt with the issue wanted me to take a refund. At the end I did as I found a better deal. Be careful in the small print they say if certain product is open from their original package it cannot be returned. As a customer this is the worst experience I ever had. From this experience I can say Argos is good with “click n collect” or “same day delivery”. I would not recommend using them for anything else.

Wish I could rate them -5. Just gone through a worst online purchasing experience with Argos, I purchased a Lenovo laptop by paying £399.99 online, back home I came to know the WebCam is very bad & mic is not working, felt cheated as this was to be used for Virtual meetings. I hardly kept the laptop running for 20 mins ( 15 mins went in setup). Within 24hrs I went back to Argos shop to return it. They straightway refused it saying we don't take "USED" things. How come a laptop be USED, when it was ON for 20 mins ?? The staff was rude, as if I was asking them something for free. £400 is hard earned money, I wanted this machine for my virtual meetings & my sons virtual classes during this lockdown. The whole purpose of buying it is not served. Requested them for an exchange, they didn't help.

If your product breaks down and is also out of warranty or catches fire and they are deemed to be an issue with the manufacturer be prepared. (Eventhough they admit liability - your be pushed pillar to post). Argos will not take responsibility neither will the manufacturer. If your house catches fire and you die they will try every trick to avoid responsibility. 'Not us gov'. So even if there is a fault they will say 'that's life'. Nothing to do with us.

If I could put 0 stars I would. Bought a sofa, Jackson 3 seater, just over a year ago ago have just discovered it has a manufacturing fault underneath and could be collapsing. After struggling to get to talk to anyone, and spending a couple of hours on hold, live chat and on the phone, I have now been told they will not do anything about it as it is just over the one year warranty. Please do not buy furniture from Argos, as the quality is rubbish. I would expect a sofa to last longer, especially since it is only two of us.
