I bought a laptop from Argos which has been faulty since the day I got it. I tried to get in touch with Argos but they make it extremely difficult. There is no answer on their phones, ever. It always just hangs up. The only option to chat is through Facebook Messenger. It took 4 days for someone to respond to my enquiry and they left halfway through the conversation. That was a week ago. Someone else has just responded now to tell me to take it up with the manufacturer. I have told them 3 times now I've spoken to the manufacturer already who said this is a problem for Argos and I could only be refunded through them. The customer service Argos gives (or lack thereof!) is absolutely appalling. I don't know any other big company that is as bad as this. I was trying to support them over Amazon during these times as I know the British high street is struggling but in future I'll stick to Amazon - much more reliable and can actually deal with a problem!

Am fed up of trying to get on the chat line I have even phoned customer services on to be told go to the chat line even tryed to put a complaint in again only to be told you to the chat line. The whole thing is a joke.

Back in March I placed an order for a printer and it arrived on the day it was due. From the start the printer has been nothing but trouble with terrible quality streaky, patchy and washed out prints. Then after a handful of unusable prints it says "Low on ink" so i just presumed it must be faulty as my Sister has the exact same printer and says how brilliant it is. I have VERY bad anxiety so i never use the phone and always prefer to email. There is NO contact email address on the Argos website which seems ludicrous to me in this day and age. But with some searching i managed to find an email address so i contact them there. I get a reply saying before they can look into my order they need me to confirm my full address to which i reply straight away. Then exactly 30 days later they finally reply and tell me to get in touch with the manufacturer of the printer. I find it convenient that they reply exactly 30 days later so that i fall outside of their 30 day return window. As i say i have VERY bad anxiety and never use the phone so to have to contact another company is just too much for me. I haven't even left my house for 20 years so that gives you an idea of how serious my "Issues" are. So i am now stuck with a printer that does not function properly. The printer was packed up into the original packaging and put in our spare room shortly after it arrived as it is not fit for purpose. I have since emailed Argos countless times and have not had one reply. And looking at all their other reviews it seems i am not the only person to have been ripped off by them. It's bad enough for people who don't have any issues to lose their money but for people with Mental Health issues like myself it makes things So much harder! It seems Argos do not care about that as long as they have your money they do not give a damn about what happens to your item. How can a HUGE company like Argos be allowed to send customers faulty products and then simply do nothing about it when the customer informs them??? I know that it is a very difficult time that we are all living in right now but i placed my order back in March. If Argos could arrange a collection i do not mind at all. All i want it my money back. And obviously i will NEVER be shopping with Argos ever again. They could take a tip from Amazon as their returns process is simple and hassle free.

Unacceptable service. 22.06.2020 ordered kettle to be delivered, 2.00-6.00pm 23.06.20. Order did not arrive. Contacted chat line, after standard 30 minute wait, presumably intended to put off contact, told sorry, delivery would take place 25.06.2020, 2.00-6.00pm. both deliveries were confirmed by email. Order did not arrive. Once again, contacted chat line after 30 minute wait, only to be told the order had been cancelled and my money refunded. I asked why this had happened, and was told "We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, however, delays and cancellations are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen circumstances" (This is a quote from the transcript of the chat line conversation) So, I have waited in for eight hours to receive my goods, spent an hour waiting to contact the chat line (which appears the only way to contact Argos) and received no notification that the order had been cancelled. I checked stock availability for the kettle ordered, there was a model in the Herne Bay Sainsbury's outlet, there was no effort made to mention this or help me obtain the order. I notice that, for this item, the option to deliver to my postcode, CT146QB, has been withdrawn. I assume that Argos are having trouble meeting commitments and are withdrawing delivery to what they consider less profitable areas.

Argos tried delivering my £300 item to a different person. They pulled up in the van, didn’t leave the van, and didn’t attempt delivery. The van drove off after 1 minute. after trying to chase my item for HOURS with them, I got told they had rang somebody else’s phone number to deliver it to them. A. Please don’t deliver my item to a random number, this is a data protection breach. Imagine if the phone number had said “oh we wrote the wrong address, please deliver to x instead - I have no doubt in my mind this would have occurred B. If delivering an item, idk, how about getting out the van and knocking on my door????? Generally the easiest way to deliver an item. The Argos delivery tracker didn’t work. My item didn’t turn up within the required time frame and I was never contacted. I had to sit on hours of hold for their call centre to rearrange my own delivery as they never attempted to contact me. Their twitter page is erratic and they seem to openly cherrypick easy queries so it’s not effective to contact them on there either. I am a key worker and had to take a day off work the following day to retrieve my item, when, I did specifically ask for delivery the day prior because that was my day off. When I submitted a complaint the team didn’t at all care, told me it wasn’t a data protection breach (I work really closely with data protection in my job so I know what is and what isn’t) and basically told me sorry not sorry I am moving house and was planning to buy my furniture from Argos. Looks like I’ll find somewhere else because I don’t want my fridge going to the man down the road. I’ll find a business who actually respects their customers enough to actually apologise when they mess up. Argos; you still have time to rectify my issue DCL-0520-2007 and then I’d happily take my review down and chalk this issue down to a few members of staff that need customer service training

Ordered on-line for collection the next day from Argos collection point inside Sainsbury's. The email said, collect after 4pm. I phoned before setting out and were told no-delivery. Went to pickup on Monday only to be told no delivery was made on Sunday; or Monday. and now the phone is not answered. Online chat waiting time is forever. I am glad I paid by Paypal. I will get a full refund??

The worse aftercare and returns policies ever. This company has caused me nothing but stress after trying to return an item I got in lockdown that was faulty when it was delivered. I tried to return an item for a refund following the instructions on their website and was refused. They also refused to have the phone repaired suggesting I do have to organise and get the repair sorted myself. Absolutely shocking. After trying to explain that is not how returns work the jobsworth manager decided they knew best and I was wrong. They called the police to remove me from the area stating I had been abusive. Argos is a complete disgrace and I will never visit any of their shops or partners again.

2x beds ordered for delivery on 12th June.....old thrown out on the 19th June 2020. Delivery was not done until 19th June 2020 with no contact. Tried calling, web chat etc with no luck. Beds being assembled and the base is broken! Tried contacting to organise replacement, and guess what! Lies lies lies and more lies. I’ve spent nearly 4 hours just today trying to sort this out while being disconnected or receiving empty promises before being disconnected. Will never use Argos again 😡 cannot use current situation as an excuse as they should not be operating if they cannot deal with customers who have spent hard earned money with them.

Waiting 2 months for a child's slide, only to be told 2 days after it was due to arrive that it was out of stock. It is now 2 weeks later and they have not given us any update regarding our order. I've tried to phone but they keep cutting me off to say that they can't help and to try online chat. I've tried online chat about 15 times and when it does send me through to the queue, it says I have to wait 30 min which it is still saying over an hour later before it crashes and I have to start again. It says to check my account but my account status says that my delivery date is the original date from 2 weeks ago. Feeling frustrated indeed.

Ordered an item for same day delivery: received email confirmation for delivery between 7 and 11 pm. Nothing arrived. On hold for almost an hour the next morning - best offer - rescheduled for another 7/11 pm delivery. Very take it or leave it attitude. Appalling lack of courtesy or concern. Dreadful. Of course using Covid as the excuse.

I’ve had endless chats, answerphones cutting me off all to return unsuitable metal bed frame. It’s been in my hall for a month. I have interest due to accrue on my credit card and nothing but lies from the chat line people who know nothing working from home. I have half a dozen chat line emails to prove my disgust and frustration and cover up lies from Argos employees. Argos won’t pick the bed up because the supplier has to get in touch to arrange this with me following an email from Argos. One excuse I have been chatted with is that they are awaiting clearance from the government to be able to pick up items up. Rubbish! Amazon and Dunelm don’t have this problem. DO NOT BUY FROM ARGOS if you don’t want the hassle I’m having!! Buy from Amazon or Dunelm who are efficient and know how to treat their customers.
