Had and I am having a terrible experience with VC. The item got lost by La Poste, VC instead of giving the carrier a call to understand the whereabouts of the item (300€ item)... is more concerned in asking me to send them a handwritten letter and Id Card so they can open a case with the carrier. I have raised 5 cases with VC and there is no proper follow up. I have sent 8 chaser and total radio silence. There is no customer service number.. so its a great experience for the client.. you get stuck with hundreds or thousands of €.. and you have to wait for them to reply... basically.. when they feel like. This company is not set up, and should be fined for making the clients to go through this terrible experience.. we are stuck with virtual chat boxes and emails. Unacceptable... My next step is to write a handwritten complaint letter to the respective department

Utterly disappointed with my recent purchase! I bought a bag that was listed as brand new without any defects stated in the description. When the bag arrived i noticed immediately there was a glue stain on the bag. Certainly I reported this as an issue and requested for the item to be returned. However Vestiaire Collective insisted that the request is not possible as it matches the description. I relooked at the original post and zoomed in to the pictures and I found the same glue stain on the bag! Obviously it was not caused by me and the defect was already present. I wonder how it got passed the control checks and I sent multiple emails to their customer service to re-visit this issue but there were no response at all! My request was simply ignored and was forced in a way to accept something that is defective when I expected the item to be brand new as listed!

Disgraceful Service I have been selling with Vestiaire for some years now and the service used to be good. I am a VIP customer so in September 2020 I sent 13 Designer clothing from Chanel to Saint Laurent from season 2019 so most of them brand new. Since 29 September 2020, all my 13 Articles are showing as sold but they are not sold because i have not been paid. Also, they put so little prices on them that i might as well throw them in the bin. I have contacted my VIP representative 8 times. I have contacted them via Chat 10 times. To this date, my articles are still showing as sold. These are my 13 Articles showing as sold for 3.5 months now but they must be lost or stolen. Because, they do not get back to me. I have now realised that they must have lost my designer clothes as the timeline for dealing with an enquiry is 72 hours. i have now emailed again and demanded full payment - an insurance claim. It is disgraceful service. Once the issues are resolved, i will never sell them again. I have also withdrew a Dior coat from sale 8 months ago. I am still waiting for it to be returned. As well, when i first started selling, i shipped a Dior Classic handbag with Fedex to be safe. It was signed and received but Vestiaire claimed that it was never received. Clearly, someone stole the bag. Don't buy or sell with Vestiaire. Disgraceful service.

Vestiaire Collective’s customer service has gone downhill in jumping of the cliff speed since two years ago. Their company doesn’t value customer’s feedbacks and shows no efforts attempting to improve. 90% of the time customer service does nothing to solve problems, and most of the time they are arrogant and rude. There is no where you can make complaints either. Since they launched direct shipping it becomes mayhem more than what they claim is for sustainability. If you choose direct shipping you have no quality and authenticity guarantees for items lower than 300€ unless you pay extra fees of course. Besides the above issues, their evaluation process for time submissions is very biased. Same item listed different times of the week you will get different status of this “we love” label. Having this label is basically the only way to get your items exposure. There is absolutely no standard. And the prices they suggest is always different for the same item listed at different days of the week. After trying for a little over a year I realized it is better to list your items during week days. Perhaps staff who work on weekends are just part times or trainees? It is very sad and disappointing to see the changes for worse since 2014 I joined the community. I’m just waiting for a better European site like this so I can jump ship and never use VC again.

I've been using Vestiaire Collective sporadically for over 6 years now. I've had some minor issues before but the company seems to have really gone downhill these days. I sold an item via direct shipping and the parcel went missing, I contacted their chat multiple times, was told a different story each time so ended up having to contact UPS and the buyer directly myself. I had to figure out on my own what happened, let them know, and they still refused to pay me out even though it was a system error and the buyer actually received the package a long time ago. Luckily the item wasn't so expensive but I will be deleting my account for good as their customer service is non existent and it caused me too much lost time and annoyance. For people considering selling items on VC - if everything goes right you will be fine. But if something goes wrong you're on your own and you will lose lots of time and maybe also some money.

As a seller, I sold 4 pieces. First 3 went ok but it was very frustrating on vintage Jean Paul Gauthier, YSL and Alaia, when all accepted offers were being ghosted (I think once the buyers were notified of high shipping and duties on items shipped from Canada, even though French vintage was going back to country of manufacture, they fled). I subsequently closed all offer options. My 3 items did sell and I was paid. On 4th item sold, a vintage Alaia sweater, compliance in NYC informed me of deficiencies such as missing size tag (which was clear from picture that it was not there plus I provided all measurements in listing) and stains which I never saw. I authorized a discount of $25 to the buyer and they told me that buyer refused (of course, I have no idea who buyer is). They asked if I want to have it returned or relist; I am frustrated that there is no such option on my iPhone app and I have no idea how to reply, so back to chat who say the reply exists only on the web version, but my web version does not allow me into my own profile, no idea why. Chat did offer to relist for me, and said it will take 2 days to appear. Some 4 days later nothing, and new chat said it will take 7 days to resist. Eventually relist does appear and IMMEDIATELY it is shown as sold, without any "non compliance" discount. I get an email asking me to ship the item - but it is already at their warehouse ! Back to chat. I figured if I get paid for this transaction it will be a miracle, but I did get paid 2 weeks later. I really do not know what truly happened. Did they claim original buyer refused and looked for a private buyer on their own, at a higher price ? I will never know and neither will you as sellers. Way too stressful, time consuming and convoluted, plus they keep forcing to lower price and you can never raise it again. Do they just want a high volume of sales for their investors ? Do they buy up items for their own inventory and resell on their own ? Too many questions.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced and no phone number to communicate only chat with inexperienced people who offer only standard answers from a text book. No outside of the box thinking or helping customers. I will never sell with them again

As a seller I have had such bad experience with Vestiaire. Firstly due to the country I am based in I have to send the item myself which is extremely expensive but one time my item was stuck in french customs for a month and they did nothing to help. I was calling customs and contacting vestiaire and they were totally unhelpful - i spent so much time contacting the various post offices, and customs offices - i was told my the post in my country that as the item is nowin France this should now be the receivers responsibility. Finally the bag although released from customs, was not delivered (apparently it was not accepted probably as it took too long so no flexibility on their part) and was sent back to me ending in me even paying import fees for my own bag!!!!!!!!! I then sold the same bag again, it finally arrives at Vestiaire (after paying etc again) and they tell me the item is not fully compliant as I said it was in very good condition while they would describe it as only 'good', they suggest a price drop and need to contact the buyer. The buyer refuses the item and then they finally send me the picture that they took to show the seller which is completely badly taken and shows the item in bad shape which its totally is not. Another item I sold i was also told is not compliant and i had the buyer almost pull out as they claimed I didnt have the receipt. I nEVER stated in any description I had the receipt (the item was bought on net a porter so I had proof of purchase however) but I had guarantee, dustbag etc. This resulted in almost cancellation of my item again and a LOT of coming and going. I will never sell any item again on Vestiaire. Plus their customer service is abysmal. There is only chat function, it takes forever and they never email you back when they say they will...no continuation of discussions etc. Nightmare.

I have sold items and have been a member for 8 years. The items I have sold have been mostly Chanel and other high end luxury items. I sold two brand new Chanel bag 2 weeks ago, I took a lot of pictures that proves the bags were brand new and plastic still on hardware . I sent the bags to Vestiaire and received a email saying they were received. 2 days later I received a email from the so called customer service saying that one bag was scratched in the inside of the flaps and the other didn’t fit the description? I got really upset and contacted them Immediately with the original pictures proving the bags condition. They promised to get back to me but of course they didn’t. I contacted them again and explained that I can not accept that they destroyed one brand new bag for almost 6500 euro and that the other one is exactly as the description provided online. I told them that I could absolutely not take them back when I have proof they were brand new and that I did everything right from my part. The other Chanel bag did fit the description perfectly and they still tried to pull something, I’m not sure why. They promised once again to get back to me to find a solution, they didn’t. Today I received a email saying that one of the bags was shipped back to me, in other words one bag impossible to sell destroyed by them. Thanks to a understanding buyer the other one with the description issue was accepted by the buyer so after 3 days of stress the sale went through, but not with the help Of Vestiaire! I will report this and won’t let it go, even if I will have to pay more money than these two bags were worth. I hate when company’s fool customers and think there will be no consequences. There always is!

Before using this site read the bad reviews before the good as this is a shoddy run company. Firstly, it is full of serial timewasters who make offers on items then never proceed to purchase them once you have accepted their offer. There is no recourse i.e. an ability to leave feedback to warn others so if this is how they get their kicks there is no deterrent to stop them doing it. I then got my first sale I posted the item straight away but it took them almost a week to acknowledge it. I then received a message telling me the bag that had never been used and removed from its packaging was covered in scratches; it was in perfect condition when I handed it over. A price drop was offered which I agreed to as I just wanted the long drawn out process over. It turns out after just receiving an email telling me the bag was on its way back to me via DHL the buyer refused the item. I contacted customer service and they tell me I should have received a message telling me this but when I asked when the message was sent they could not answer. I am now unsure if I am expected to pay to receive the goods back as the customer service representative ended the chat. I will never use this company again and based on my experience advise all others to avoid it. I will stick to local buying and selling sites at least they don’t cream a fortune off the proceeds and you can liase with the buyer yourself.

Vestiaire Collective has no customer service! Their phone number doesn’t work, they almost never respond to emails and when they do, they send a generic response that has nothing to do with an issue. How can you run a business without having a customer service?

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you have a problem don't count on them to help you. I live in the US and got paid duty long before they knew how much it was going to be. In the end when the package arrives in the US, DHL contacts me to tell me that Vestiaire did not pay them and that therefore I had to pay the customs duties within 5 days otherwise the package would be returned. Note that the customs duties that Vestiaire Co made me pay are higher than the amount that DHL asks me. I explained the situation to DHL, and according to them under US law it is a fraud and that I should sue them, which I think I will. No one has contacted me for a week. They might be more responsive when faced with a letter from a lawyer. By the way, their customer service blamed me because according to them I contacted them too often which is slowing down the procedure (great when you know that you have 5 days before your package is returned). It's been three days since I contacted them for the last time, yet still no response. You are a JOKE!

This site is a scam. I will never ever sell an item here again, and I strongly recommend people that wanted to try selling on this site to stay away and try somewhere else. They received my item and after 3 days they send an email saying that they could not verify the authenticity. No other explanation! Now to get my item back I need o pay the shipping myself!! I am really mad and also upset that although I read other reviews saying the exact same thing, I still sold my item here.

have sent an item using the UPS label provided by Vestiaire and the address seems to be wrong or the buyer did not receive it for reasons that I will never know. I don't have any form to contact the buyer and Vestiaire says the item will be returned back to me and the sale cancelled. while this is not obviously my fault, vestiaire does not simply want to contact the buyer or provide a new label. they even suggested me to send the item again once this gets back but at my expense and they would take the same comission.... not only they are not capable of fixing this they also don't understand how frustrating this is, stressful and the time you lose.... obviously this company doesn't honor their sales and service they say they provide and there is no point on selling here. I would strongly recommend you to use other platforms in the market and avoid this !

worst customers service in the world, these people do not have ANY training before they handle and check your bag, just ask for recipe everytime. How on earth am i gonna find a receipt of something i brought a few years ago??? And why the hell do i need to pay up to thousands of commission if u just gonna ask me for receipt?? Isnt the whole point you exist is to check bags without certification? AND NOT TO MENTION HOW RUDE THOSE STAFF ARE!!! It's they are working for us for free or they are actually paying us or something. Btw some tips for new sellers, when they refuse to return your bag, just call the police to their shipping address :) that's the only way works, no need to wait for their emails cause you very likely need to wait up to months

I've been a member for ages, and unfortunately felt compelled to tell other potential customers not to get their hopes up. Over the last year I've had six (6!) consecutive orders cancelled after the sale went through – a few times after weeks of waiting and hundreds (sometimes 1000s) of $ being transferred. It is refunded of course, but after waiting, expecting for weeks and weeks, and then suddenly the item is 'not available'. There seems to be no accountability or trust system to actually follow through on a sale. No way to leave a review of the seller or contact them, either. After these multiple bad experiences, I wonder how many of these items are actually for sale, or whether there is something else going on. It's like shopping at an imaginary store. Quite a big waste of time, in my opinion better spent on other sites where you actually receive what you bought! :)

I never received the shoes I purchased. When I asked for refund they told me they are going to ask the seller to send the shoes-- although they did several times and the seller never did. According to their policy if more than 15 days they need to refund. This still has not happened. Never again!!

My shipment got lost and they’re saying that their expert is making the claim but haven’t made any claim on their end. I’ve spoken to FedEx and they told me the seller (Vestiaire) hasn’t made any claim. They’ve been lying and making a fraudulent statement that they did. Does anyone know who or how to make a claim against them?
