“The parking permit website for Waltham Forest is the worst I have ever used. Information and intstructions are inadequate, confusing and misleading . I have spent hours of my life trying to upload documents to buy a Residents Parking Permit without success. No wonder the lines to the wonderful people who answer the NSL phone are always jammed with callers! Thank goodness the Council gave up the idea of putting the whole system on line!!!”
“Just found out £2.50 taken from my account for a car park in Canary Wharf. I have never been to Canary wharf and was in Kent that day. Now I have the inconvenience of cancelling my bank card. Ringo app has been uninstalled.”

“I called Ringo multiple times and entered my debit card details to pay on many occasions but I kept getting an automated voice error message. I also tried many times to pay through the app and entered my payment details but kept getting a generic error message.
I also tried to pay through my friends RingGo app who was parking next to me, adding a new vehicle to her account, however instead of that working she ended up paying the £12.50 parking ticket twice for her own car.
Since then I have been charged with an £85 ticket for not paying. It makes me so angry as I tried so hard to pay but it was made completely impossible to do so.”

I parked stop starting yesterday and after about an hour I called Ringo to stop the parking it the voice recording clearly said my parking has stopped .Today I checked my account and they still charged me the full £13.50. You go to this site it claims to have live chat, but live chat not on not available when you try to use it. I cannot find anywhere any number to telephone them and I've been 10 minutes trying to find out how to even email them and still cannot find a email address yet THIS IS A TYPICAL COMPANY THAT'S BEEN SET UP THAT ISN'T POLICED PROPERLY AND IS RIPPING OFF THE PUBLIC BE AWARE!!!!!!”
“Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Drove into a car park, spent the next fifteen minutes trying to get their automated phone system to recognise my car. Gave up exasperated and parked elsewhere. They then had the cheek to send me a parking fine. Not only that, when I provided evidence of my attempts to pay, they rejected my appeal. So I've had to go through to the ombudsman. They are not a real company, just gangsters attempting to extort anyone who has the misfortune of driving into any of their properties. I'll make sure that they never get another penny from me ever again.”
“Biggest pile of sh**e ever! I have to park in a ringo carpark for work, I’ve been parking there using the app for 4 months no problem, then all of a sudden it won’t take my payment and said there’s an error. Tried uninstalling app, deleting and re-adding cards and still getting the error. Phoned my bank, they said there’s nothing wrong with my cards, tried my partners card (who also uses the same bank as me) and his worked! Went onto live chat with ringo, totally useless, all they could tell me was there was a new higher security when paying with some banks and it will eventually be resolved. I asked why my partner’s card works on my app and mine doesn’t and they said “they couldn’t discuss this with me” and I should send an email. I sent an email and after a week, I’ve had no response.
They are a money grabbing joke of a company with ZERO customer support and should be shut down.”
“Took £8.50 for "start/stop" parking (max period) when I wanted £1.40 worth.
Couldn't stop parking as every time I phoned it tried to get me to buy new parking.
Eventually customer services admitted my account was "locked" (they couldn't tell me why or what this means) and that I would get the difference refunded. It would be down to my bank whether this was minutes or days.
1 week later and still no refund!”
“Payed for 7 minutes parking which cost 90 pence via Ringo app In Maidenhead. They put a £15.40 pending charge on my account which Is held for 7 days. Not acceptable. They will not remove the charge even though they are able to. Rip off Ringo”
“Parking for half hour, charge is 70p but they debited my card £3.50 bloody rip off merchants, their excuse is its a pre-authorization charge which I will eventually get back. its only 70p why do they need a pre-authorization and several hours later it still states £3.50. Absolute cowboys employed by Torbay Council”
“Worse parking experience I've EVER had. After ringing the phone number 8 times (!) and receiving multiple texts telling me to re enter my number plate 30 MINUTES later I gave up and downloaded the app which I'm assuming is what they wanted. My phone is old and the battery was drained and I went over my data allowance. HOW CAN SOMETHING SO SIMPLE BE MADE SO PAINFUL?! I can honestly say this riuned my trip. It took almost 1 hr to sort out parking payment!!!! Absolutely disgusting.”
“I used the Didcot parking on 20/11/2021 and there was no option to pay by machine. Using the number to pay via phone said my account was suspended. I called the next number displayed on the sign post and they also were not able to help as it is not a customer support number as advertised on the sign post.
Then I see that this number is billed as a premium number despite it not being advertised on the sign post. So you make sure customers cannot pay via advertised means and then charge them to call your advertised numbers. Shameful service.”
“Total farce of a company, no way of speaking to anyone. Took parking payment then said account suspended when tried to stop parking charge, so charged in excess of actual time parked. Will never use again. Waiting for response to email !”

Tried Chat line and tells me they don’t have staff to man it so tried e mail but no response of any kind from this company !

“Spent 25 minutes trying to to pay for parking at a car park where coin operated Pay & display not working. App wouldn't verify my mobile number. Couldn't log in online - reset password - got into account but got error message that said ": "An error has occurred" and a report logged with Support. Would not allow me to proceed further. Call the telephone number - got an auto-recorded message, something about unverified/outstanding payment (nonsense) and auto-disconnect. No option to speak to anyone, or make payment by phone. Gave up, canx my (now late) appointment & went home. Got online, reactivated account (expired due to inactivity), sent complaint about spending 25 mins trying to pay & asking them to address entirely automated system which can lock out users & provide no alternative. Reply tells me what I already told them (expired a/c, they don't manage car parks, contact council - I told them I already had), details my account log, but also tells me my account was deleted due to inactivity - I check & it has been - since I reactivated 2 days previously! They either cannot/did not read my complaint, or their customer service simply does not care. No consideration for personal experience, just automated guff and don't give a damn. I have deleted the App and will not use again. Appalling service, appalling attitude!”
“Paid for car parking using the app but got the wrong code by error, appealed to the company as I had bought a ticket but they refused to recind the ticket …. I shall by paying in by 1p’s and 2p’s coins from now on and they can have the pleasure of handling all that cash”
