I booked three nights at the Chatrium Hotel in Bangkok earlier in the year. On 6 September I received confirmation from Rehlat that the booking was confirmed. So at this stage I was happy and everything to do with the booking was going smoothly.
I’m a keen traveller and typically travel for two months every year. I have booked numerous hotels in the past though various companies and have almost always been happy with the service I have been provided.
Rehlat has proved to be an immense disappointment. On 2 October Anju from Rehlat emailed me to say “Unfortunately, your booking has been cancelled at our backend due to some technical issue”. I was informed I would receive a full refund.
Over the last 8 weeks I have tried to obtain the refund without success. Every time I email there is an excuse as to why they can’t pay at the moment (payment processing issues) or they say they have escalated my concerns and will update me as soon as possible. Nothing happens.
Refunding the money would be an easy step for any company so the lack of refund is concerning.
In my country, and probably many in the world, would consider this to be a fraudulent transaction. Taking money without any intension of providing the agreed service. Even in early October Rehlat could have booked the hotel even if there had been an internal problem. The money would then have been used for the agreed purpose. So I believe it can be shown that there was a lack of intension. This lack of intension is reinforced by the money not having been refunded.
At this stage I am taking action through the credit card company and will probably also raise the issue with our local embassy.
Hopefully applying some pressure will resolve this issue.”

I have contacted them multiple times and they have promised escalation to finance departemt and will update asap. There is no process till now. Booked and paid in full and when I went to hotel , there was no booking and had to spend night in the car , these people just take the money and don’t make any effort to book .
It’s more than one month and I am calling and writing to them on daily basis but all I am. Getting in return are false promises and cleverly worded email .

I cancelled the booking as I didnt want to pay more than what the website showed. Many months later, no refund.
I contacted them 10 times and still no refund. They said I cannot complain as they dont have a complaints procedure.

“Very, very, very disappointing experience with Rehlat! Beware – this company feels like a complete scam. I booked a hotel through them and faced immense challenges from the get-go. Upon reaching the hotel, I was left stranded, forcing me to send 5 emails and make 8 desperate calls to their customer service - all of which were met with generic, unhelpful responses or, worse, silence.
I was left waiting at the hotel for an excruciating 5 hours. Left with no choice, I had to make a direct booking with the hotel just to secure a stay for the night. “I hope that I could give 0-STAR. I had the absolute worst experience with Rehlat! Over a year ago, I booked a hotel online for Italy through their website. It was written on their page that, I could pay at the hotel, but guess what? They collected the entire payment during finalising the online booking!
But here's the kicker: they canceled my entire booking in the dead of night, just hours before I was supposed to check in. My hotel reservation was a significant part of my tour cost, and they completely ruined my trip.
I've been chasing them for a refund ever since, but all they do is respond to my emails with excuses. They keep saying my case is a "priority," but it's been over a year of their ridiculous delay tactics.

“Booked a ticket from this website on 22th June 2023, but the ticket was and the booking was cancelled because off spelling mistakes. was supposed to receive a refund for the amount of 1078AED which was already debited from my credit card.
The email which they sent after cancellation mentioned that payment will be refunded within 15-20 WORKING DAYS (which feel is unreasonably long time required to return someone's hard earned money). However, this period is already over, in fact it has been a month now & have still not received the refund.
I have contacted them more than 25 times by phone and their only answer "please wait.asap", "our financials will contact you within 24 hours" but nothing happen at all!”

Ho prenotato un hotel per 72,42 Euro e immediatamente cancellato, ho richiesto il rimborso 8 VOLTE con e mail e per 8VOLTE si sono scusati dicendo che avrebbero effettuato il rimborso.

After booking flight tickets using Rehlat, after payment ticket not confirmed and they asked to pay double the amount which is highter than in actual airline charge, so i cancelled and asked them in written to refund in the same card. Booking was done with free cancelation.
I have contacted them prior to the cancelation and they have confirmed the money will be refounded in 20 business days. It has been more than 2 months since and no refound was issued. I have contacted them more than 15 times by phone and their only answer "please wait.asap", "our financials will contact you within 24 hours" but nothing happen at all!
I hope Dubai police is only the way to return the money. Rehlat doesnt respect the customers at all!

We booked a hotel, never cancelled it but received a right away message (following the payment), that they could not reserve the hotel.
I requested money back and they said it will be credited back in two weeks! (They are a banking system ?? Taking benefit of personal money lending??)

“First mistake was booking with this website without proper research about them. So almost the same like the others, i booked my flight in their website (cheapest at that time), i received email that the booking was pending and they are waiting for the airline to confirm before they will send me the ticket copy. After 2 hours, i received another email that there was a price hike and i need to pay for the booking to proceed and 3rd email that since no response from my side the cancelled my booking.
I read the email when i reached home after work, but still i paid the fare hike just to secure my booking since my flight was already in 2 weeks. The following day i called their customer care to double check if my ticket was confirmed but they said it was cancelled already and they will initiate the refund on June 15,2023.
After multiple calls and emails from them, until now i dont receive my refund with cost 2.6 aed in total. I filed complaint in DET in dubai since the office is located there. They said that Rehlat is not licensed by the department, thus they does not fall under their jurisdiction. I called ******* but they refer me to Ministry of Economy (*******)because they are dealing only with company within Abu Dhabi. Ministry of Economy was close today and sunday so i am planning to file a case also.
As i am reading the review of others, I read about filling a dispute report. So I called my bank to file a dispute case to Rehlat and suggested that I should send them email regarding the situation and any proof of emails from the company. Waiting time is 120 days (plus the 2 months waiting for rehlat without refund =(
Such a huge inconvenience booking with Rehlat.
To those who have same experiences, let us knock all doors. Don't loose hope because it is our hard earned money! They cannot take it like that.”

They have agreed to process the refund after 1 months of follow up and after constant email reminders , .After they agreed , 2 months have passed (Now at 16th reminder email) and even copying their CEO , CFO , no action.
