really nice people but the service is so convoluted and not explained, no one seems to know what they are doing or getting back to you. They need a proper system to manage their clients. I wish I just did it myself tbh, but I am roped into a contract and fell bad to leave now I've started. Such a shame as the people themselves really sell the product. But once you get the product you're chasing and stressing to get answers and understand what you've bought. This could be so good but right now they are running before they can walk and we are the guinea pigs. Sort it out Yell!

Been with you nearly six years and have 100% fantastic reviews but for one liable one, when I rang not interested but they said they would take it down, while they investigate but haven't. Work to hard over last six years, building up a small business for yell to destroy. Very good selling you stuff but hopeless when a problem, while charging you £50 + per month

If you are a UK Business, never think of spending any money with Yell. If you pay £200 plus and opt to be even at first place, you just lost the £200 monthly. They have a 12-month contract and you won't even able to cancel the contract. They will send somebody at your office and tell you in your face that yes I understand you are not getting any benefit, but u cant cancel and u won't get any benefit. you simply will lose money. spend the 200 on FB or google you may get a better result. My company listed in Yell in No 1 place. But I never received even a single enquiry or phone call. The worst company I ever dealt with is Yell. I am in the 12-month contract . to cancel the contract they charge 80% of 1-year payment, So once you enter you won't be able to exit. also, you can give notice only in the last 14 days of the annual term. if you miss it, you will get charged one more month. I feel companies should make customers happy and make money instead of cheating customers.

After a very convincing phone call that a website with this company will boost turnover with our small business we signed up. The website was to be to be polite poor but i thought get it live so potential customers can visit it and I will improve it. I got it better tried to get help but was a complicated process. After 12 months the cost of the service was far higher than the increase in turnover so i cancelled the website.Firstly I was told I had paid up so I cancelled the direct debit I was told I can have the website redone plus 3 months free I made it clear i wanted to cancel the website but agreed to try. Waited on 3 occasions for someone to ring me but no one did throughout the 3 months but got a bill because it seams I hadnt paid up rang up everytime but still got bills. (I Was told after the 3 months I would not pay anything but the bills kept coming) I even cancelled online after a phone call being told I have no option but to pay because I agreed to the 3 months free and I cant talk to anyone else I paid to get rid of them and got an email saying as much again. but guess what the bills keep coming and I keep ringing up I truly wish I had never got involved with Yell

Waste of time and money. No return on investment and they are happy to force you to continue to pay them for a service that is not working in any way for you. Expensive for no good reason and I had to complain several times before I got any help. All they care about is taking your money and their service is atrocious. Regular customer service reps can't do anything to help you and neither can managers. The people who can help do not take calls so basically, there's no one available who can help you. Even though they finally allowed me a 50% discount, they still managed to overcharge me and then tell me to wait a month to get my money back. Do not waste your money on this company.

Not sad, but also not happy. Reputation manager in my opinion, is really only for established companies looking to advertise on YELL.com. I was fortunate and thankful to be changed over to a PPC campaign service, which I believe will (for sole traders/small and new businesses) at least put your business in front of targeted potential buyers. For £64, it had better. In YELL.com's defence, I appreciate that there is a lead time with these things, but with that said, you should not be left wanting when you expect a return on your investment. So, if your new, and looking to get 'your name out there' then I recommend the PPC service; at least you can directly see what your money is being spent on. To conclude, I do think that YELL.com can also reduce their costs by at least 25%, as I believe they are way too expensive for the services they provide. Customer service, however is great! !!Approach With Caution!!

I used Yell.com to list my business and was contacted by them. Here's my honest review. PROS: free business listings and a free scanning tool to assess the reputation level of your business across the internet. Friendly staff on the phone. CONS: I was quoted just under £40 a month to optimise my reputation on the above scanner with a yell.com premium listing. First of all the scan results I was quoted (98% error rate) were different to the scan results I got myself (72% error rate). Secondly, £40 a month is £480 a year and for a sole trader starting out that's pretty brutal. I also know that much of the work suggested to me that would be included in the service are things I can do myself (I've already got my error rate down to 52% since I spoke to Yell.com by taking these steps myself). These latest scan results are also inaccurate because I know for a fact that my business is listed on certain directories that are showing up as unlisted on the Yell.com scanner. So I expect my error rate should be around 40% now, and all done by myself without having to pay £480 a year. I think Yell.com is one of many similar services out there in a competitive market. And I also think that the kind of money they're asking is unrealistically high for sole traders like me. Fees that high don't encourage small business in my view and I've since been quoted £199 by a competitor for what seems to be an even better service. Yell.com also tried to have this review removed on another review site, claiming that it was not genuine. I'm pretty disgusted by that tactic and as a result I definitely won't be buying advertising with them in the future. Anyone can check their extrotionate fees to verify that my review is honest.

Paid 1K and website written in India - did not work and reputation which cost £40 per month was a waste of money you can do it for free. Talked to some product owner at Yell to complain - chap called Phil was honest and said yell analytics are rubbish!!!! Cheers Yell, bunch of amateurs...

Shoddy website written in India. All the calls you make go to India to get stuff sorted. Total unsatisfactory. And guess what YOU CAN NOT CANCEL - they stick you on a 12 month contract then AUTOMATICALLY on a rolling contract. If you don't pay they send in Moorcroft debt agency who are a nightmare.

Advert did not perform and website when I checked my Google Analytics i added had hardly any visitors - they had visitors in Yells analytics but turns out these were spam ones. So don't trust what yells analytics tell you - add your own independent ones to see if it is working. yell did not ask me for a review - seems the warning on this website is right and they cherry pick who they ask. Trying to lure in new customers by bumping up their review score. So glad this site picked it up
