Shower of Sh ite! had a bed for 3 years despite turning it like it says my mattress slopes to one side! had someone come out about 6 months ago to do a check, not heard anything back! terrible customer service!

What has happened to this once great company??? I’ve bought every bed from Bensons in my adult life. I will not be returning after my latest experience. I received a damaged headboard. To get the matter resolved. I emailed, went into the shop, had lots of 38 minutes wait to customer service call centres , was told a replacement is in - now it’s not. Sorry next step is Furniture Ombudsman & I will never buy anything from Bensons again. Loyal customer lost. If they carry on like this I’ll be surprised if they’re around in 8 years time. DISGUSTING After sales service. Avoid at all costs.

Comes with a "five year guarantee" they say. Nope. If there's a problem after six months, it's on the customer to prove a manufacturing defect, with absolutely no assistance from Bensons. A technician call-out to do this costs you £48 and - presumably - you also need a time machine. They will not accept photographs or perform their own inspection. You must pay to claim on their "guarantee". Bensons are perfectly within the law to stipulate this under the Consumer Rights Act, but advertising that they offer a "guarantee" is nonsense. This is not claiming under a guarantee in any way - it's taking action to force them to comply with statutory consumer law. Customer service doesn't provide "service", just a patronising explanation of why the law is on their side. A fabulous way to speak to someone who hasn't had a good night's sleep.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Just been waiting 40 minutes for customer services to answer the phone for no help at all. I found them rude and useless and did not care about our problem in the slightest bit and did not seem to care about me not likely having my money refunded. And from reading all the truthfully shocking reviews, bad customer service seems to be the norm with this company!!

DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR BED HERE!! We purchased a king sized mattress which was rated a 4 in firmness, we tried the mattress in store on a hard base, however we were not advised the mattress would not be compatible with the type of bed frame which had slats. This was because we were not told by staff that the firmness rating would change(which was important for medical reasons). My wife described sleeping on the bed as sleeping on a slant with the support only down the centre of the bed due to the frame work, however this was not advised that this would happen in store. We believe that we have been miss-sold this bed, and judging from reading the comments this is not the first time a bed has been miss-sold. We are also now struggling to get a refund and staff seem unhelpful across the phone to resolve the matter. As a result my husband has had drive down to the store to deal with the matter because the staff were too incapable to deal with it over the phone.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMER Bought a Mattress - however they CONNED us , made a DODGY fraud fake Invoice said delivery in 1 week which took 3 weeks - so now on the 40day return they are trying to refund less then the cost of mattress - they threw in a FREE mattress Protector and FREE pillow which we didnt actually need but invoice has these listed at over £109 so on the return on the mattress they are taking this off , from day 1 we tried get a corrected invoice they say they post but never did , Rude staff customer service is terrible they just say contact Ombudsman - they are just CON artists , scammers my mother is almost 80 and this is causing her medical issues and stress - they dont answer calls very fast then hang up ..

I bought two wardrobes a bed and bedside cabinets , waited for two weeks delivery , when they arrived both wardrobes and one bedside cabinet were damaged on calling the store and customer services agreed to take a replacement, two weeks later they arrived minus the bedside cabinet and I could not believe it two more damaged wardrobes am now waiting for a refund . The customer service is nonexistent so be warned

Excellent service from start to finish. Shop staff explained the different options, allowed us to use the mattress simulator to determine required hardness etc, and informed us of delivery options and dates. We ordered an ottoman bed and mattress which were delivered on the date specified, and we were kept informed on order progress via text message throughout the process. On the day of delivery we were emailed a link to see exactly where the delivery driver was and we could predict the arrival time down to 10 minutes. The delivery team were efficient, placed the items in the required room, and were very careful not to cause any damage. Assembly of the bed frame was straightforward, too about 2 hours for 2 people to complete, and the quality of all items was excellent. After reading all the negative reviews (after ordering) I was a bit worried, but in my case everything was done perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend.

How I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing my bed and mattress. I believe sensible people actually take reviews on board when making any purchases and I am amazed that Bensons have not tried something to resolve these dreadful reviews but they keep coming!! We ordered a bed and mattress on a Wednesday on line, the email confirmed our order and delivery would be 21 days. Next morning I received a text to say mattress would be delivered Friday!!! So I called and rearranged this. Bed turned up fine on a Thursday and we put it together before the mattress arrived the next day. Upon opening the mattress box we were horrified to find a huge tear down the middle of it. I tried to call Bensons, was on hold for 45 minutes, so ended up emailing. I tried calling again the next day, 45 minutes still no answer so hung up. I finally got hold of them the next day and they advised that they would send a new mattress out and collect the old one. That was over a month ago! Yesterday they called me to say they would be delivering it tomorrow but not collect it as - I HAD PUT A KNIFE DOWN MY OWN BRAND NEW MATTRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What on earth would I do that for? I think the customer service girl thinks I must walk around with a flick knife or carving knife in my pocket!!!! I was so upset by this accusation that I ended up asking on twitter for the MD to call me.... I spoke to a lady on the exec board and I am now at home currently waiting for a new mattress to be delivered and old one taken away...... its 10.47am and I am getting nervous that it won't happen!!!! This company is horrendous - they have blocked me from twitter due to my constant tweets on how bad they were, but if they did there job properly and employed some decent customer service agents a lot of the complaints would go away! For someone to actually accuse me of taking a knife to a mattress is simply unforgivable and slander! Wish me luck for my exchange today!!!!

Ordered two single beds and headboards nearly 3 weeks ago with delivery due yesterday (20.11.19). By 6.30pm, the beds hadn't arrived so I went to the shop (Chester store) to be told that a delivery attempt was made and that the delivery drivers had waited for 15 mins. I checked our CCTV and there was no sign of any attempted delivery. I was then told that my order had gone back to the depot (Bolton) and the next delivery date was 06.12.19. Store told me to call Customer Services and after phoning a premium line number and being on hold for 25mins, they said that my name didn't match my order details and they couldn't discuss it with me. It was me who ordered and paid for the goods in the store and I have no idea why the had a "Mr R T" (not even a full surname, just initials) as the customer. I went back to the store and immediately cancelled the order (not that they cared enough to try and get my order to me sooner). What a complete waste of 3 weeks. Would NEVER deal with them again and I'd suggest you save your time and energy and go elsewhere!

Bed ordered 17th October from the store in Harlow. Was told delivery date was 5 th November. Me and my partner both covered the 7am and 1pm slot. Got to 2pm I rang them, they said sorry we tried to ring u once in the morning to say it wasn’t arriving till the 21st November.Due to bed damaged. So 19th November text arrived saying delivery time slot 7am to 1pm delivery will be on the 21st. Few hours later a phone call saying sorry your bed isn’t in the warehouse you will need to re order your bed and wait 3 weeks. So another trip to bensons beds and finally thought this isn’t good enough so I’ve cancelled the bed due to very poor service. Staff didn’t seem to care. Wouldn’t order from them again and I also tell friends and family never to use this company.

I wish I had read these reviews before I had bought my bed. What I notice is all of these bad reviews and no one from the company representing them, not an apology in sight. For anyone reading this, you have statutory & consumer rights . My bed arrived , 4 feet missing, after a 40 minuted wait on the phone ( which is shocking) I was told to prop the bed up with books and my choice if I used the bed. NO SYMPATHY, customer service is appalling. I will never buy a bed from this company again. Apparently it will be 3 weeks before I get the feet, they are out of stock!!!!!!!!!!! How did my bed manage to leave the depot with only half of the feet? I had to give 1 star and im giving that to them through gritted teeth.

Bedside cabinet and chest of drawers delivered faulty. Customer service is the worst I have ever come across. Hours waiting to speak top someone. Also found out that a lot of stuff comes from direct manufacture, so the store is unable to do anything, and customer services have to contact the courier, before they can speak to the manufacturer. Thy rely on email. also my Mum suffered a nasty injury as a result of as drawer falling out of the unit. All you get is that standard apology email. NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

If there was a minus rating this would be at minus 10. I am an ill woman and in order to make my last few days more comfortable I purchased a hospital style bed from bensons - Bilston Road, Wolverhampton. I paid for them to take away all rubbish which they did not do. I had the bed 2 days never having slept in it as I wanted to get new bedding for it and christen it properly. I tested the bed in its most upward position and then it couldnt come back down to horizontal position. I contacted the customer services - which is itself a feat as they take their time answering the phone. I sent pictures of the position of the bed and that was all I heard from them for 2 weeks. I call back to see what was being done, as I couldn't use the bed, or the bedroom, thanks to this so non-functional bed. so I have no bed and no use of my bedroom. I was told it just had to go through the process and there was nothing they could do and no-one I could speak to. Meanwhile my health was deteriorating due to the stress that dealing with this organisation was causing me. After several attempt to speak to someone who would help..They finally organised someone to come and see me and test/fix bed - they didn't turn up. Ever since my e-mails have been bounced back and I've not been able to contact anyone in customer services. what am I to do they clearly want me to die before any resolution and hope my family will be too distressed to follow-up and resolve. I don't need this stress and hateful behaviour in my last days - its shameful and evil - where can I go for help??

Where to start!! We purchased an Ottoman Divan Set Front opening Santiago king size bed costing £1799.00. Arrived on correct day, set up and looked good. Every week after turning mattress around we noticed a slight bump in the middle of mattress, this has now developed into a rather big bump, lumpy mess. Bensons sent out an inspector who took photos and explained that we just needed to “iron” out the mattress every morning. I’m assuming he meant by our hands and not a iron!! I have never had to do this with any mattress in my 61years on this planet. However we did as asked, it did not help and got worse. Phoned Bensons again told to get my own independent inspector who they recommend again it was in spec!! So we have given up. Now the bed frame is squeaking something terrible which wakes you up every time you move in bed, again Bensons do not want to know. I will never get anything from them and advise anyone else to do there homework and shop elsewhere.

Matress sagging, hump in the middle and impossible to sleep on without feeling your falling out of the bed, complaint made and sent an home repair gentleman who agreed that it was very poor but said he did not think Bensons would take any notice of him, how correct, they said , it was within the normal linkage, well it's not normal for me so have taken out a court order for supplying a bed that is not fit for purpose, I intend supplying an independent evidence !! Do not use this company if you want a good matress.

Poor delivery service, parts missing, bed frame sagging and mattress failure. Spoke to store advised to send photos in, did so no response, called customer services then told photos meant nothing, will need to pay for 'technician' to visit. Was not told that at point of sale or in any literature from store. Waste of money, effort and time. Bunch of jokers, but I'm not laughing.

Purchased Sealy king size bed and mattress from birstall store in Leeds in January of this year . initially store staff and delivery me was exceptional. However, discovered one side of base damaged. Contacted customer services and this is where the problem started: overall after spending almost eight hours waiting for them to answer the phone ( from.january to August) and speaking to seven different people ( and request to speak to education's team being denied ) my issue was finally resolved ( this was also after the replacement agreed was not on the delivery van as arranged) . I requested that I wanted the bed returning and a full refund . Miraculously the bed was posted cked up within a week however, I had to wait for the money and was told that I would have to go back to the shop where I had originally purchased it from The staff weren't supposed that due to customer services the bed had been returned. I pointed out that I had the bed had been a cash purchase (almost £1800).which had come out of my account within hours yet it took all students two weeks after I had purchased it back on n January. I also pointed out that I had to contact them on a frequent basis and that had I purchased the bed on finance I would not have started paying for it till it was satisfactory. On a final.note with regard to mattress I suspect that the ones that are returned are then sent out again after being used despite people paying full price ??? Despite negative reviews Benson's still need to sort out their customer services and distribution services. I also need to say that I received a text from them a couple of weeks ago saying that they had ordered my replacement base and they would then contact me with a delivery date !!!!!! So much for data protection. Think very very carefully before making a purchase from Benson's !!!
