“Bought a refrigerator on line on 11/5/2020 and scheduled home delivery for 11/17. Best Buy charged my credit card on 11/6 and I received several email and text confirmations of the delivery on 11/17. At 6:55AM on the morning of 11/17 I received a text saying I needed to reschedule the delivery. Then at 8:42AM I received another text and email confirmation of the delivery on 11/17. At 10:05AM I received a text and email stating the refrigerator was on the truck and out for delivery. They even gave the driver's name and an estimated time of arrival. The truck never showed up. I called the Best Buy customer service number and the automated system hung up on me the first time. The second time I got hold of a real live person and she told me the refrigerator was on back order until 1/24/2021! She then transferred me to sales who said he couldn't help me and transferred me to someone else who said she couldn't help me and transferred me to someone else who finally confirmed that the refrigerator wasn't expected to be in stock until 1/24/2021. He could not answer my questions, such as: Why did they charge my credit card for something that was on back order? Why did they let me schedule delivery for 11/17/2020 for something that wouldn't be available until 1/24/2021? Why did they repeatedly confirm an appointment to deliver something that wouldn't be available until 2 months later? Why did they say the item was on its way and give me an estimated arrival time when it wasn't true? But he could tell me that the charge wouldn't be reversed on my credit card until the next billing cycle. Have bought several appliances here before, never again.”
“Purchased ibuypower pc from bestbuy 12/2019 xmas gift for son. Brought to geek squad 11/2020 paid $99 + tax to find out the problem. A bad motherboard. (Wow, never had that happen before especially since I paid $550 for it). I called bestbuy and they hid behind policy. Sorry but not much they can do. I did contact the vendor and you get the feeling they are amateurs. I have to ship the pc to california to get another motherboard installed. I am livid that a pc fails in less than a year. I purchased from bestbuy, i paid again to find out what the problem is. Then there hands go up and hide behind policy. I wished I purchased from Amazon. I must've spent close to 10k over the yrs but they will never get another penny. 9”
“Had a brand new Samsung washer which never worked, Best Buy says "not our problem" call Samsung who are booking service calls 3 months from now.
No one at Best Buy was willing to make a phone call, lousy dealer.
Took my issue to Better Business B.

“This review is more about loyalty and good customer service than anything else after being charged a 100+% promotional interest penalty.
I made a mistake, and had a promotional purchase being paid on a monthly "auto pay" from my bank. I didn't pay attention to my monthly statements, because I knew it was being paid every month ( early every month ). When I did look at recent statements, I noticed a problem. When I went back a few months, I saw where I received a $457 interest charge on a $422 remaining balance. I immediately called when I found the problem , and was told since a few months had passed there was nothing they could do now. I told them I would have paid the $422 if I would have known to avoid a 110+% interest charge.
I asked if they could split it or do anything as I have been a customer for 20+ years and literally have spent in excess of $20k. The answer from Best Buy customer service & her supervisor for that type of loyalty is "I am sorry - Nothing we can do".
I've learned my expensive lesson here, and will spend my money with a company that appreciates the customer. That definitely is not Best Buy.”
“The worst service and accountability! I ordered a soundbar for a gift and it stated same day delivery. Well it did not come the same day. The next day when I contacted them they seemed uninterested in resolving the issue and did not seem to care I needed that as a gift and was promised same day shipping. The Best Buy rep decided to tell me he is not sure when it will be delivered. I am never buying anything from them again especially as a gift. Now I have to tell the person their birthday gift is going to be late because Best Buy can’t deliver on their promises. Do not order here you will not get it when they promise it!!!”

“Slow customer service in store:but, not nearly as slow as the delivery by UPS. I waited for over and hour on hold to talk to a person at Best Buy who proved totally disinterested in helping me. I paid for the item and was promised it by Nov 10. It is now 3 days late and was told that maybe it will come Monday (Nov 19, promise date was Nov 10).”
“There website doesn’t work properly. I ordered a ps5 and it went into my cart but when I went to check out and purchase it, it wouldn’t let me. I went and drove to Best Buy only for them to say it was a glitch, I took off work for this. I tried calling customer service only for it to say there was an hour and a half wait. “Went to Best Buy after my 15 yr old windows 7 died and told them I was 76 and only needed basic services but would like to upgrade to a better desktop. They show me two all-in -one Lenovo computers $639 and $679 and I asked repeatedly do you have anything less but the said "NO" turns out they did have one on their website for$529. They claimed it was not in store but would have to shipped to my house. They sold me a $200 year policy that included transfer of my hard drive info to the new computer but later told me they didn't have the ability to do that there(this the Geek Squad) but would have to send it out adding costs not in the $200 because my computer was too old which they new when they started this offer. I found that they were not totally upfront with a senior person who had little tach ability. The only thing that went ok was the time Zachary spent with the use and set time of the computer I bought because driving from Eastham to Hyannis was getting crazy to do over again with a new computer at a new company.”
“I spoke with a Best Buy technician on the [hone yesterday. He said because I had Windows XP he cold not help me remotely. He said I could be assisted if I went to a Best Buy store & he scheduled an appointment for me.
When I went for the appointment I was told they could no longer help with XP. Their technician should have known that & not have scheduled an appointment for me thus wasting more than one hour of my time. Truly awful service.”
“Be careful ordering from Best Buy. They do not deliver when they commit to deliver. I ordered from them October 2 and was told that I would have the order on November 10. They called and told me that they could not deliver until December 19. I tried everything I could to maybe take another item but nobody would help me. I was hung up on three times and forwarded in circles. Please be careful dealing with Best Buy. Not a good company.”

“The worst customer service ever experienced. I just spent close to $1700 and the work order isn't the same as the store receipt I've been trying for 4 days to talk to someone and finally got a call center agent and instead of fixing an item on the order, she cancelled the item, stupid. 92 minute call. Today I got another call center agent and he was into trying to change the order and if so the install date would be delayed another week. So I was in the middle of the call and he put me on hold at about 50 minutes and now I look on my phone timer, it's one hour and 41 minutes. I'm hanging up now and tomorrow , even though I'm on a walker, I will go to the store and cancel my order and go across the street to Costco's. When I started my business I bought all our PCs from Best Buy not to mention the $7K Pioneer plaza that I am replacing now. Where's that company now?”
“Worst customer service ever. Do not shop here. Over 5 hours on the phone for a replacement dishwasher, which turned into pick up your dishwasher. I still can’t believe how bad the experience was. I lost my cool in dealing with them, and I wish I handled it better, but they missed appointments, sent people who couldn’t complete the job, and passed me to different departments after being incompetent. You have been warned.”
