“Bought a laptop that was misrepresented online it said it was a touchscreen and it wasn’t. Called primary support was on hold for over an hour and 45 minutes got hung up on six times trying to get a discount and have to call again tomorrow. They need to train their employees how to treat a good customer if they want them to return back to buy from Best Buy!”
“I don’t even know where to begin. First, 2020, we spent over $30,000 with Best Buy. One of the products we purchase, a dishwasher, which was $1500, was installed on November 25th. I recently used it, and discovered that the heating part of the dishwasher is not working, therefore, my dishes are not getting dried. So I decided to call Best Buy to let them know so that they could send a repairman out. I called this morning, and after about an hour on the line with a person the car gets disconnected. I’m sitting around saying to myself, oh she’s going to call me back, because we were on the tail end of getting everything done. However, to my dismay, nobody called me back. So I decided to call back later on this afternoon, I spoke to a gentleman named Dani. He was actually a very nice customer service rep, and was very genuine and apologetic about my call this morning. He deserves a raise. We discussed my situation, and when he went To process the order, he told me that he was unable to help me and then I would have to call the manufacturer for the repair. At this point, my blood is boiling, I just purchased a $1500 dishwasher, just a small part of the $30,000 I spent during the year, and now he’s telling me I have to call the manufacture. This of course is not Daniel’s fault, he’s just a messenger. The policies from Best Buy are horrible, and I would not be surprised if Best Buy goes out of business. The service is The worst of its kind. I might as well just have bought the KitchenAid dishwasher from KitchenAid. This way if it wasn’t working properly as it is today, I would have just gone directly to them. The reason I buy from Best Buy is because I expect for them to resolve an issue. The dishwasher is installed, is not working properly, and they should resolve it. They should not direct me to call the manufacturer. I would have been happy if Daniel had said to me I apologize for this issue ma’am kick squad can’t repair it since it is brand new, however, we are going to make the call to the manufacture for you and we’re going to help you get this scheduled. But of course that did not happen. I’m left to go handle this problem. So I decided to tell Daniel that I wanted to just return the $1500 dishwasher. At this point, I would think it’s best buys policy to let their team members on the phone know if a customer is upset and wants to return something that’s quite expensive, get a supervisor and maybe things can be handled differently. Instead, Daniel processed the return. I don’t understand Best Buy thought process, returning this is going to be much more expensive than if they would have handled it differently I just made an extra phone call on behalf of the client. This is just bizarre. I have decided I am going to take my business elsewhere. I will not be purchasing any more electronics appliances or anything else from Best Buy.
I feel bad for this customer service agents that have to work for a company like this. I know it’s not their rules and it’s not their policies they are just a messenger. Daniel was very nice and I genuinely took his apology, however this company disgusts me.”

BestBuy confirmed 3 times that my refund was processed. Never happened. After 20 days I'm working with my credit card company to get my money back.”
“This is not about the 85 in TV I bought but it's about the purchase that I am going through with pain. I bought two 85 in tv from bestbuy, one in store and one online. I then returned the one that I bought in store. Online agent told me to come to the store to set up a pick up for my return because the tv is so big. When I got to the store they asked me to call bestbuy online store to set that up. Finally I got it picked and delivered back to Bestbuy. I waited for 10 business days to call them for a refund. They refunded me pretty quickly on the phone but I saw the refund amount is for the TV that I bought online and not the one I returned. Somehow I got disconnected on the phone. I called back and talked to another agent. I told them basically I just wanted a refund for the item that I returned and for the amount that I paid for it. The agent said that they cannot do anything for a store purchase return. I then came to the store but they couldn't fix the issue either and I have to wait for them to contact someone to take a look.
I have be an Elite Bestbuy customer for years but all my trust to it will go away after what happen this time. What I want to say is, each agent tell me different thing. The first agent refund me with wrong amount from another order. Phone disconnected and didn't call me back even though they asked for my phone, email, home address before we started the conversation. Second agent when I called back say "we cannot process refund for in store purchase, You need to go to the store to fix it." I wonder why, the first agent processed it without any problem. You need to let me know in the first place then I can go to the store to avoid the mess up.
From your website, return policy and price match seems to be very nice and unbeatable, but when I got in to the situation, then it's a nightmare. it's not straight forward at all. If bestbuy customer care reads this, you can take a look into my account and see what I meant from my account record.
Lastly, my advise for other consumers out there, you need to pay attention or look into it more for what bestbuy posts on the page where you buy the item about all of their return/price match policy,

“Multiple delays and issues with appliance purchase. Every single person (about 8) had a different story or reason why my items weren't delivered. Then when they finally arrived the range stove was damaged. They did offer very little compensation, on a nearly $4,000 purchase $200 is an insult. $100 gift card and $100 credit back to card...ridiculous. It took ALOT to even get that when clearly Best Buy failed me as a consumer.”
“Ordered nintendo switch for a Xmas gift said it would be locally ready for pickup on 12/7. Get email saying it's running a few days late. Never comes I call in after several hrs of being on hold they tell me it's not coming it's on backorder and will Arrive after Xmas or just be cancelled I tried calling local store no one answers the phone. So I login and try to buy locally and it says it's available for pickup at my local store within an HR so I call And try to get my order changed and he said I would get the email within the HR to go pick it up never arrives so I call back and the first rep transfers me so I gotta explain it again never buy from the Again.”
“I needed replace the battery in my I phone. . I called Best Buy waited 20 minutes without receiving assistance. I went in to the store and waited in line for 20 minutes and was unable to speak with a person. I subsequently went home and scheduled an appointment online several days in future. I waited three days for this appointment because I believed that best buy would replace my battery with an apple product rather than some random battery from who knows where. I went to my appointment and waited another 20 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes I was told that the apple technician was not available and I should go somewhere else. I would rather spend the afternoon at DMV than try to get assistance at Best Buy again.”
“The Geek Squad which provides very spotty service is excellent at charging renewal of service without authorization. f a customer attempts to reach them, they are put on terminal hold, disconnected and asked to go on line where it dead ends. BEWARE.- providing Best Buy with your credit card # they attempt to use it at their discretion without authorization.”
“Ordered stove which paid 3 payments for and delivery was rescheduled three times d/t the stove being too heavy to be brought to my single family home. Once stove arrived on the fourth scheduled delivery, it never left the truck and we were told that the it does not meet the cabinet clearing protocol by quarter inch. Over the 30 years we lived here we had multiple stoves without installation difficulties.
We feel cabinet clearance protocol should of been explained to us while bing our range.”
“When one lives nearly an hour away from the store, one needs to know if the product is available before driving there. Best Buy does not answer their phones, and provide no help in this manner. And should you have any problem with a product three weeks after purchase, then forget about it. They won't help.”

“Stay away from this store if you’re looking to buy smartphone! My story is very sad and because of the store I had a lot of hard time. I did buy two unlocked IPhones from them, with full payment in cash. No contract, no restrictions on it. I did told staff member that I travel a lot and that’s why I need unlocked IPhone which can work with any carrier in any country. That’s not my first iPhone, but it was the first time I get it not from the Apple store. So one week ago my daughter fly to Russia and replaced the SIM card with a Russian carrier, guess what we found out? The iPhone is locked!!! Can you believe it?! So the manager in Best Bye from the mobile department was very ignorant and acting like what’s your problem ma’am, use a WI-FI!!! Best Buy refused to solve the problem and all they offered was IOS reinstallation and cheapest prepaid phone compensation when my daughter came back with all receipts on hand. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. Stay away if you don’t want to be in a situation like this one.”

Today, we got a call asking us to set up an appointment for delivery. For Thursday. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 30 minutes & then was told there was no expected time frame for speaking to someone. I wish we had purchased elsewhere and am seeking as many opportunities as possible to share my review as I don't trust that the products I paid for will actually be delivered when they say they will.”
“Waited 45 minutes to get assistance. No sales associates to be found, They were all standing in the front of the store cutting up with each other. I asked for assistance and told them that i wanted to buy an ipad. They said they were short handed. Ok so i waited 30 more minutes till someone came and told me they did not have any iPads in stock. They turned around and left without asking if needed additional information or help. The website said they had some available for one hour pickup. Please hire quality employees and train them with customer service.”
