“I ordered an Apple Watch on the last day of the $70 off offer. The next day Best Buy cancelled the order saying the information I provided on the order was suspect. I called Best Buy and was told I must call the bank to see why the payment was rejected. The bank said the order was paid to Best Buy but the money was returned by Best Buy the next day cancelling the order. The offer of $70 off was over on midnight the day I placed the order, so, I called Best Buy and asked if they made a mistake by cancelling the order and could I please get the watch now at $70 off. Best Buy agent placed me on hold while they checked why the order was cancelled and the give me the original offer again. I was on hold for about 5 minutes. They hung up on me without getting back to me.”
“Overall good price and quick delivery to front porch, online order. Very pleased with our LG 43” TV. But…I called the local Best Buy in Amherst, NY and asked about recycling our old TV the told me no problem. Just bring it to our store call us on the phone we will come out to your car and take it. No charge. Easy peezy.
So we loaded it in our car, drove it to their store and was told we were misinformed and there would be $30 fee. We objected and referenced to our conversation and was told they were sorry.
I chose to call Best Buy corporate 888-number and had all kinds of communication problems. Call this number, we’ll transfer you to this department on and on. I experience dead ends with choices. No one to talk to. So went on a Bes Buy chat conversation. But that didn’t get me anywhere. They gave me same numbers to call but always went to a dead end. This went on for over an hour. Long story short. No resolve for our issue. TV is still in my car.”
“customer service...since sending all help out of country...it is unbelievable..I was on chat for over an hour and they passed me on to 5 different people who were supposed to be care team...in the end, they just shut me down and I never got the problem solved..I use to talk up Best Buy, because of customer service...”
“Jessica from Pac Tac Protetive Services stuck her nose in where it didn't belong. I was, after 3 plus months, incensed with Best Buy, Issaquah, WA. I told Adrian, the Best Buy employee at the door, I was finally angry and loud and that he should direct me to an office or backroom, not to appliances. Before he could respond to my comment, which was addressed only and directly to him, Jessica from Pac Tac felt the need to stick her nose in. Adrian did not ask for assistance/protection nor feel threatened by a 76 year old woman who walks with a limp and who had been to the store almost daily for the last three weeks. Even Jessica recognized me and acknowledged my frequent visits. Due to Jessica I was asked to leave the store. I told the excellent, polite employee Riley, I was returning my $1800 worth of products. Never mind that I was assured that if I dealt directly with Best Buy and not with Whirlpool, I would become a satisfied customer. Not!”
“I have bought many items from Clarksville, TN Best Buy. I don't work there, so why do I have to hunt someone down everytime I want to purchase something. I have to search it online, know exactly what I want, walk-in and tell the person at the front, or I will never get anyone to help me. Then I end up apologizing for bothering them, because that's just how I am. I just want someone to help me!!!”
“Their customer service stinks. They have no clue what their doing and how to address any issues that confront them. I'm not sure if it is poor training, or that Best Buy contracts out their customer service to foreign countries who don't care about helping you. I twice had to work with them and both times did not get my issues resolved. Over an hour and 30minutes with 6 transfers, pathetic. I ended up going back to the local store and talk with the store manager who was able to help me. My advice to Best Buy either pay more and get qualified workers or slowly lose customers. It's hard for me to go back an purchase anything from them. And I surely can't recommend them knowing their customer service is soooo bad. Best Buy's saving grace is knowlegable store managers. Maybe I don't run large corporations but I do know you have to take care of your customers if you want them to take care of you. You don't stay in business very long if you don't follow that basic principle. Good Luck”
“Extremely disgusting company. They sell defective open box products and scam customers into buying their unnecessary and costly warranties.
I recently bought an ASUS laptop that was on sale because it was open box. One week into using it, the laptop broke because it had problems with the hinges. I did nothing but simply close the laptop and it folded incorrectly because the hinges broke. I called their customer service first asking if I'm allowed to return it and they said yes, but when I got into the store they had a different story to tell. They wouldn't allow me to return it and made me purchase a $450 warranty just to get a replacement. I tried calling their customer service again and they said that there will be a report made about it and that they would send me an email about the details but I never got an email or any news about the report. It's a disgusting scam.
NEVER BUY AN OPEN BOX product from them. ALWAYS CHECK FOR THE SALES they do because they're probably trying to get rid of unsellable last products. And RETURN THEIR PRODUCTS RIGHT AWAY even with very mild signs that something is wrong. I take good care of my things and I've never had to use the warranty once they actually gave me a proper non-defective laptop. It was an absolute waste of money and a purchase I never had to make if they did not send me a defective laptop in the first place.”
“Last night I ordered an Antivirus software but Until now I did not receive the Digital or Online Delivery of it. IT IS VERY DISGUSTING! Why they have contracted third-party sellers with this KIND OF VERY POOR DELIVERY SYSTEM????
This would GREATLY Affect the NAME..., BEST BUY" CUSTOMER SERVICE SYSTEM!
PLEASE improve...”
“I purchased a washer and dryer that is now one year old. I have a warranty in effect for another year. I scheduled service because the washer will no longer turn on. They never showed up.
I called customer service. They told me the notes say the delay is because they ordered a part. The could not order a part because no one has been here to inspect the machine to determine what is wrong.
Subsequently I have had to call 7 times and I have spent 3 hours on the phone to try to get someone out here.
The story keeps changing. They keep telling me someone will call me back yet no one does. They tell me the repair person will call, but can't tell me who that is or when they call.
The phone operators are completely incompetent.”
“had problem with a samsung cell bought at Best Buy. phone not working after only 2 months-made and appointment with "Geek" squad 1200 Sunday 2/12/23, got into line for Geek squad and the appt is meaningless as they take customers lst come 1st served in the line even though my name was on a screen showing my time- finally got to talk to someone and they told me they don't honour Samsungs 12 month warrenty and don't service these phones (which they sell)only their own warranty which is only15 days-they also said they don't work on Samsung phones and it needs a reset that they will do for $40 called for the store manager who was the most hostile unfriendly balligerent store manager (Oscar) that I have ever meet-to make a complaint to corpoate HQ and the jumps & hoops they but you through makes it impossible-Best Buy a bad, bad company stay away”
“Sorry it is so long but it is WORTH the READ. You will learn a lot from this. BB stinks for delivery, and install service and WORSE with customer service.
Would love to leave a zero or lower but I can't. 1 is the lowest. By far they are the worst company to depend on. Ordered 2 TV 2-2-1/2 weeks before Superbowl. ALL items were in stock at the store but I wanted them delivered and installed. I was assured it would be done on Sun Feb 5. I had to get special permission for them to work Sunday as I live in a condo in Florida. My wife tracked the shipment for 3-4 days before scheduled delivery just to make sure it would be delivered and installed. Sunday morning AFTER it was supposed to be delivered and installed. When my wife called the dispatcher 2 hours after it was to be delivered only to be told the order was canceled because the warehouse didn't have 1 or the 2 sound bars. She asked why not deliver what you have? We were told ONLY the store can change this, the order was canceled for delivery that day. We called the store and they had it but warehouse could not get it from them and they already canceled delivery and install. They rescheduled for Feb 14 AFTER Superbowl. We were told ONLY store can change this. We went to store only to get run around for more than 4 hours until I DEMANDED refund. Store manager was giving us a hard time to cancel. He was stalling us so we would not be able to go elsewhere to order and get on time. Finally after several other customers came and complained about the same thing, we finally got a credit. I will NEVER deal with them again. Even if I would have saved a few dollars, which I would not have, (cheaper in Coscto exact same TV or better) is not worth the aggravation.
When I called customer service they claimed there was nothing they can do. It's up to the store. I believe the wrong BBB store is in financial trouble. It should not be BBBY (bed bath & beyond. It should be BBBEST BUY. They stick and their customer service and relations are the worst. DEFINITELY not worth the few pennies savings. STAY AWAY for your sanity. Remember CRAZY EDDIES. Welcome to their replacement.
The COMPANY, STORE AND especially THE MANAGER IN THE BOCA RATON ARE BY FAR THE WROST. I actually think the manager deserves salesman of the year for COSTCO. If not for him I would never have gone to COSTCO. Went their after leaving BB and bought the 2 exact same brand TV with more features, at almost 10% less and they were delivered and installed within 4 days. PBB and their salesman were the best sales people for COSTCO. I'll buy there again.”
“Extremely Dangerous to buy from Best Buy. It can off shoot and they can charge you without delivering the product and claim that they have delivered. My experience with Best buy has been horrible and they just made me suffer to get a refund after they misplaced my order and kept me hanging by committing that they will refund but at the end did not refund my 900.99 USD. I lost this money for free because of their unethical false claims of delivery of the order. They talk softly with customer but they don't shy away from tricking you and loot you when they mismanage shipments. They tied up with FedEx which is another company who have no value towards customers. I would suggest not to buy on this platform. Once trouble catches you they will dump you and they wont care about the customers. Please have some shame on the cheap tricks that you play with your customers !!”
“We purchased an item, wanted to return it, called Best Buy they sent me a return label and I shipped it back. I recieved an email from Best Buy stating they recieved my refund but never refunded me my money. I have contacted Best Buy but they refuse to do anything. BIG BOX COMPANY doesn't care about their customers. I won't be sad if they go out of buisness because they do not care about their customers.”
“They thought it was a good idea to make it where you can't call the store to check to see if they have items. No one at their call center. I stop buying from there because every time I walk in 5 employees are doing nothing and could have answered the phone but now I have to deal with a call center that solves none of my problems.”
“One star is too good. If there were negative stars then that would be more appropriate. My entire experience with Best Buy has been awful. I made an in store purchase of an IPAD as a birthday gift for my daughter. The item was supposed to be shipped next day for free. The item never came. I called Best Buy and they shipped another IPAD. It did arrive 1 week later way after my daughter's birthday. I called Best Buy to receive some sort of compensation for ruining my daughter's birthday and making false claims and promises. I was promised a refund. Refund never came. I called back. I was promised another refund. I waited. It never came. I called back, was on the phone for over an hour, only to be told that they won't issue a refund. My advise is to NEVER purchase anything from Best Buy. They have horrible customer service and fail to produce what you are entitled to. May Best Buy receive the same treatment they give their customers.”
“So, after eight months, my brand new Dell Inspiron is literally falling apart. I had purchased a BB Totaltech warranty.
Greek Squad posts claim:
"[The warranty] covers every electronic device you purchase fur 2 years. So long as you keep the device active (post fur the service once each year) Its a warranty for all of your devices. Worth every penny if you buy from Best Buy regularly. Plus you get free set up and installation. And free delivery. Tech support."
Elsewhere BB claims "You'll never pay for parts and labor. We take care of 100% of the costs of parts and labor for covered repairs, with no hidden fees. "
Just be forewarned, like most big box POS companies, BB fibs a bit.

So, to be fair, caveat emptor. The T&C mentions "service fees" ten times in the contract and that these fees can be changed any time without warning. None of the sales people at BB mentioned this when I bought my lousy Dell, of course, but it is up to me as the consumer to be informed about my purchases. Still, BB you friggin' spider, you lost a customer here. Your contract mentions nothing about $99 as a "service fee," and now with the cost of the warranty + the "service fee" I am paying pretty much what I would have paid at the local computer repair shop (which also sucks). I have been a customer for years and I have never had a good experience with BB. It is worse than the government and about as bad as the airlines.
BEST BUY, YOU ROYALLY SUCK.”
“Bogus claim of "ready in one hour", so I order on line and pay for it. They supposed to let me know when I can come in and pick it up, but after several hours they send an email saying item is not available, but maybe next week. So much for "ready in one hour". Also their web site said only one available, hurry up and get it. But several hours after I supposedly ordered the last one, their web site stills says ready in one hour, but only one available, so hurry up.”
“We recently bought a computer at the Mayfield Best Buy in Ohio and the woman who took care of us was wonderful. Her name is Hera Maras and she had an abundance of patience, knowledge and understanding. You should be proud to have her as an employee. We will definitely recommend Best Buy and Hera to our family and friends. It took the stress of purchasing a computer away. Thank you, Hannah Lucci and Al Lucci”
