“After trying to resolve a cancelled booking, for which they took the money and blamed the airline, I received a refund after two emails, an online resolver tool and a long phone call.
They refunded the money and promptly removed it from my account again a few hours later. I have had to call my bank who have now written to them to try and retrieve the FIRST payment (still pending), for which they did not provide a flight.
Never ever ever go near them. Not if you want to stay safe (know you have a flight), and if you only want to pay for something once.
I am now about to call my bank to ask if this company can be blocked from taking any further money.
There is no reason why the money should have been taken twice as these were two separate "takings" done on three days apart.”

I called budget air, who told me my flight had been cancelled. They didn’t tell me, I had to find that out for myself.
They said the airline had cancelled the booking due to the fare no longer being available. (later called airline who said fare was available)
They said they would refund me, within 10 business working days. An annoying conversation about why in 2019 it needs to be 10 business working days. And told me to book another flight. As if! As if I would so any such thing with them.
Still waiting for promised written confirmation that they will refund me - which I know I am not going to get. Have used an online complaints resolver tool now, as have called them many times but eventually I am cut off saying their agents are busy. I have emailed. I have registered on their site to send a complaint but the page says ‘oops try again later’.
Horrible experience, and very shady indeed. It may take the ombudsmen to get my money back. Never ever book with this agent.”

“Appalled by BudgetAir’s customer service and handling of an issue caused by them! After turning up to a flight that “did not exist”, and was rather a private transfer to another airport (scamming us by making us pay a significantly large amount when we easily could have taken a shuttle bus transfer), we were then advised that our luggage, whilst paid for and confirmed, had never been processed by BudgetAir. When calling BudgetAir to follow up this issue, were told to pay for luggage again (double the price on the day off the flight) and that they would refund us within a couple hours - obviously this was not the case. Multiple calls and a month later, they have still not refunded us, and have only now decided to let us know that they will not be refunding, despite our multiple receipts of purchase. This is an absolute scam of a booking agency that has been terrible to deal with and a waste of our time.”
“Budget Air has scammed me. My friends and I purchased a ticket which included two flights. The first flight turned out to be non existent and merely an overpriced car transfer. When we were checking in baggage for our second flight, we were told budget air had not completed the payment. We called the company immediately and were told to purchase baggage which we would be refunded. As we had already payed for luggage in our original purchase. A month later and no refund has issued. We emailed the receipts on the day of the flight and received no reply. We have called the company many time, the result being either a promise to be called back within 24 hours which has never been fulfilled or no answer at all. I am disappointed with this airline, mostly for its poor customer service. Overall this experience has been terrible and a waste of time. I advice anyone looking to book ‘budget’ flights to look elsewhere as this has only caused my friends and I to waste money on company which enjoys scamming its customers.”
“Avoid booking with this company at all costs. My friends and I purchased two connecting flights with Budgetair. The first was nonexistent and despite giving us a flight number, telling us the airline and ‘flight time’ turned out to be an extremely long and bumpy taxi ride. This, although annoying was the least of our problems however. We arrived at Podgorica airport and the airline told us that Budget air had not paid for our baggage (which we had pre paid for and had confirmation). We then called Budget Air and were told that they were so sorry for the mistake, to pay for the baggage ($175 euros) and we will be refunded as soon as possible (within a few days). It is over a month later of daily calls, being put on hold for hours and being told that the refund is ‘coming’ and they will call us the next day etc. When I called up today I was told that we would not be getting any money back despite being told previously that we would and it is their mistake. After dozens of phone calls and so much effort and inconvenience this was the last straw. The people on the customer service lines were incredibly patronising, sarcastic and unhelpful, giving me no way to escalate this to a manager or a next step to solve the issue. Now I am $175 euros and hours upon hours of time in debt. NEVER book with Budgetair, they are total scammers”

Tuesday
Called from 16:00 until the office closed and there was an automated message. Called Emergency number - no answer in 2hrs.
Wednesday
First agent confirmed a change of flight option @ £480 + £150 airline fee. Called back to pay 10 mins later - agent had me on hold for 10 mins 'looking up the booking' and then disconnected me. Called back - agent had me on a call for 55 mins - he said his system was down, then he blamed the issue on the Delta site. Then told me he released the ticket and that I should call Delta. No re-routing options offered, he confirmed he did not know what to do and had no solution other than for me to sort it with the airline direct. I asked if as the agent this was not his job, he said no.
Spoke to Delta. They confirmed that the agent should have called them, not me. I got the flight I had been indicating all morning and was offered by the 1st agent. No additional cost for flight and admin airline fee was £120 airline.
It is very strange that the admin fees differ, the flight cost difference was none existent, general customer service was poor and I had paid an add-on fees for flight amendments. Wrote to the company to provide feedback, hoping they were rogue employees and received a 2 line email 3 weeks later saying they assisted as per airline terms and availability. Clearly not and now will forward this to Delta for their review.

“Hi Im from Canada. I book flights back in March 2019 to go to Syndey, Australia in June 2019. I made sure that while filling out online forms my name matched what my passport said. I got my e-tickets and they listed my name with two last names. I contacted them by email as i cannot get through the local number to anyone it drops my calls EVERY time. They said as long as spelled correctly was valid and normal to have no spaces. Ok. Two weeks before my flights they asked "Wrong name?" - send us a scan of your passport and we will call airlines and advise you. OK. Heard nothing. Thought well oh maybe Im wrong and it is ok. Get to the airport and guess what? I was denied a boarding pass because my name does not match the e-ticket! I tried calling Budget air dropped my calls and managed to get through to Netherlands emergency number said i would have had to call 24 hours before. Except I cannot talk to anyone! Dropped calls. AND i emailed them a scan of my passport TWO weeks prior. I asked about a refund they said maybe a partial. REALLY? Two weeks after being back cause i had to purchase NEW almost double the price tickets to go. They responded after I told them im going to media and small claims court. AND still no refund. I spend $4000 for a trip! That was suppose to be $1370. Im not made of money. NO one is. I was visiting a loved one who also just had emergency surgery. DO NOT BOOK with them. SAVE yourselves!”

“On our return from Skiathos, Greece we received an e-mail from Budgetair stating our return flight time to The UK had changed from 19:50 to 22:50. We then decided we’d better check at the airport to make sure this was correct, it wasn’t! The flight time “was” the original time of 19:50. Had we taken notice of Budgetair’s flight time change we would have missed our flight! We would never consider using Budgetair again and would never recommend anyone else using them either. DO NOT USE BUDGETAIR!”
