“Do not use this agency as they don't code well and work with China Airlines who do not feel a serious medical reason to not fly is insufficient to warrant neither a refund nor a cancellation fee,!! An elderly passenger needed to cancel her flight and receive a refund on her business ticket flying to Australia January 27 2020, on medical orders to not to fly into bushfire zone. Many airlines offer immediate refunds with medical proof. So what did China airlines do? No mention of refund and told to pay a large cancellation fee! Budgetair.co.uk did not comprehend the urgency, taking up to 15 hrs on average to respond to urgent emails. They didn't š enquire about a refund, apparently on our behalf. Astounding. Highly unprofessional. Fortunately the press here are noticing unethical behaviour of corporations on this current crisis here.”

“We bought 4 tickets to Brazil with all passengers departing on the day but coming back to London on different dates. Budgetair changed our flights a number of times, which was not a major problem. We were supposed to fly out from Governador Valadares (GVR), go to Belo Horizonte (CNF) and then catch a flight there to Lisbon to finally make our way back to London. However on Friday 27th December they sent emails changing our departure city, our journey now starts at Belo Horizonte (CNF) instead of Governador Valadares (GVR) which is 313.5km away! Every time they sent an email with changes there would be a button to confirm said changes, but this email I received didnāt have a button. I tried to call them on Friday when I saw the email but couldnāt get through. Called again on Saturday and couldnāt get through. Sent an email. Called a number of times on Sunday and after explaining the situation each time, I was put on hold and/or then they would hang up. After a long time and asking not to be put on hold, one of the workers said I had confirmed the change. How would I confirm a change like that? 313.5km away? The email they sent me also stated: āPlease note that you donāt have to confirm the schedule changeā. I asked to speak to a manager and he said one wasnāt available. Then said it was my fault, that I should have called earlier and to call back in 24 hours. He then hang up. Called again and another person said that the change was because there were no flights available for that day from GVR airport. Immediately I checked online and whilst on the phone I informed them that there were available flights including one being sold by BudgetAir! Again they hang up. My sister was trying to call them at the same time and one helpful worker agreed that a change of city 313.5km away couldnāt have happened. Said he would change it and email the e-tickets with flights departing from GVR in 24 hours. Couple of hours later I get a call from them saying they needed me to confirm that all flights would depart from CNF and nothing could be done. I said that was not ok since I paid the tickets to depart from GVR and the company had to honour for a service that I paid for. He pushed me to get a refund, with 4 days before we depart, but it would take at least 10 working days for the money to get back to my account and I wouldnāt be able to book with another company with the same arrival date in Brazil. We have quite a few events and other internal flights booked and would not be able to reshuffle them. The worker said they would try to solve it in 48 hours but I said I couldnāt wait and couldnāt continue to be on the phone trying to reach them for hours without any success or getting my emails ignored by them. I then received an email saying that I should contact the airline and solve my issue with them directly and that they had proof that I confirmed the change, which I didnāt. Since I pointed out that the email with changes I received had the āPlease note that you donāt have to confirm the schedule changeā, they stopped answering my calls and will not answer to any of my emails. As I said before I just want they to honour the service I have paid them to provide me, a departure city 313.5km away cannot be considered a minor change! After buying our tickets almost 6 months before so we could plan our holiday properly I and now, with 4 days before we depart, trying to solve something that shouldnāt even be a issue, since we paid to depart from GVR. They are now trying to sell me tickets from GVR to CNF. What a joke! Proper scam.”
“Bunch of crooks, they sell you tickets online which are not available, when you contact them because you haven't received your tickets, they tell you the Airline did not have any tickets. They debit your Account first, then you have to contact them instead of them contacting you. After you contact them ,one hour later they will send you email about non availability of flights. Ruined my Christmas holidays. Bunch of idiots and crook do not book with this Company. I do not know why the relevant authorities do not take any action on this Company despite of all adverse reviews.”
“Absolutely bunch of crooks. On 24th Dec I booked 2 tickets online to suprise my family to meet them on Christmas day. As the departure was within 5 hours on the same day I booked the tickets online, I did not receive any confirmation about my E ticket. I rang them up twice, third time luckily someone answered, I told them I have few hours to leave and I did receive the E tickets. At this time the crook told me there were no available tickets for that flight. Only because I contacted them, I came to know about this. O e hour later he sends me a email that my tickets could not be issued. I could not even book with another Travel Agent because my Account was debited and had no money to pay to book from another site. Please avoid this Company. I do not know why the UK Government or relevant authorities still allow this Company to operate. There are so many adverse reviews about this Company and these Crooks still exists. Will the Government do anything about this Company? Please do not use this Company.”

When I called next day he wasn't there and another agent told me the change would cost me 370 pounds! I asked for manager - wasn't available on Sunday. When I called on Monday, manager would not speak to me! Agent promised for manager to call back - never did! When I contacted airline directly they only charged me 100 pounds forthe change! “I do not what their game is but they are worse booking agent I have ever used.
I fly atleast 20 times a year and always source flights through sky scanner and always straightforward.
I sourced a flight from Athens to DĆ¼sseldorf and reserved seat 6F. I booked through Budget air who quoted Ā£178.
Later that evening I had email to say my booking was cancelled. I called them to be told that I failed fraud verification. I contacted my card provider who said they had no issues and that Ā£214 had been claimed by Budget air. I called budget air who still Insisted Iād failed fraud verification to which I asked āwhat verificationā as if my card provider cleared payment then there is no further verification.
I booked flight direct with Aegean Air and reserved same seat 6F.
I sent Budget air a strong email accusing them of fraudulent trading.
The following day they emailed to say it was not fraud verification but that there was no flight availability, which is false as I booked same flight and same seat.
Do not take a chance and book through them as I could afford to book another flight and wait for Barclaycard to block payment and recredit at a later date... not all young families could do this.
I run 6 companies with 3 merchant accounts and an FCA licence, there is no explainable reason for how they behaved and I just advise to book through a reputable broker or if possible direct with airline.”
“I cancelled a flight that I accidentally booked twice, because BudgetAir's loading time when I booked the tickets was unloaded, I thought it didn't charge me so I booked it with another agency again. When I realised, I asked BudgetAir to cancel my flight, they agreed, but it's now been 4 months they still haven't given me the refund. I called numerous of times and now they have just told me that they did not send the request to the airline to have refund!! Totally ridiculous I am now searching legal action against them.”
“Having taken their flight insurance I cannot get my money back when our flight was cancelled. I paid Ā£48 for this to be protected on top of Ā£1123 for the flights.
I have made 2 phone calls to their customer services in Holland and sent numerous emails. You just get a response we are looking into this and nothing more!

“Bought ticket via budgetair.com website. I received an email that flight my got rescheduled and my flight is in 30 minutes. Gate get closed 45 minutes before departure for every international flight and i got 30 minutes before the departure. So i got info after gate is already closed. How come anyone on earth get onboard of that flight. Can anyone answer??? So had to go to airlines counter and check in counter. Everyone advised to contact budget air since i purchase thru budgetair and airlines can nothing to do. So to get on board another flight i had to buy another ticket and get on board. Later on contacted budget air and they responded flight was cancelled and they will refund me within few weeks as soon as airlines make the refund. After one week i got email saying airlines refused to make any refund and for further query i shall contact to airlines directly. After numerous email budgetair responded its my fault and ticket was exchanged. In case of exchanged ticket there is no refund. i gave them the money receipt and every details but budgetair asking me to contact airlines as always. Can you imagine how harassing it is??? its completely scam and stay away from budgetair or any conglomerate of Travix International BV.”

“Purchasing from budgetair.fr is easy, but getting a refund is a nightmare. I requested a refund on July 23 2019. I still have not received it. They promised to process it in 10 working days but have since completely ceased responding to my emails. This company is a scam. Stay away.”
