Carphone Warehouse perfect proof of poor customer service. None of their verbally confirmed delivery dates fulfilled, three 0800 phone calls having to chase them after saying they would send emails and texts to verify the order none of which appeared. Then unable to refund for up to 5 days due to their policies when they failed to fulfill the order and meet their promised delivery dates. Best advice I can have don't order online off them.

I purchased a new contract, 2nd year in a row, from the Carphone Warehouse in the Willow Centre at Bradley Stoke Bristol. After a few days it locked up and couldn't be used dispite a re-boot. After trying the SAMSUNG help line who hung up as I was explaining, politley, what was wrong. This was after waiting 30 minutes to speak to them. I then went to the branch above where I bought the phone and was dealt with by the Assistant Manager Chris. He was amazing!! very polite, tried to fix the problem then when he couldn't he replaced the phone, no fuss. This was the perfect example of how customer services should work and a brilliant example. This has made me a very loyal customer to Carephone Warehouse, being treated so well by Chris is how to make a business work. I will now recommend the branch to everyone I can. Thank you Chris, your a brilliant example to others in the retail trade. Rod

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. THEY CHARGE FOR NON-EXISTENT STOCK AND NOT REFUNDING YOUR MONEY. ORDER AT YOUR OWN PERIL. I have, regrettably, ordered a phone online, at the end of February 2017 which showed available at the time. Prior to placing the order, I checked both on the phone with Customer Services and also separately online via Customer Services employee, whether the item was in stock. I was assured it was! Placed the order for next day collection from a branch. They charged me straightaway but immediately after, they sent me an email to say that item was not available. So I cancelled the order on the phone AND online. I received a text from them to confirm that they are HAVE REFUNDED, AS WELL AS BY EMAIL AND ON THE PHONE! All lies! They are messing about, not refunding. At the moment its been one month and I am still waiting for my own money that they are keeping!

awful company,I bought something from them online and returned it unopened the same day, it's been 2 months and I haven't received my refund yet.they have acknoledged that they have received my item and agree there is no problem with refunding me but they just don't do it. this company is so behind times,I've bought hundreds of items online from various retailers, and never had any issues with return and refund. I will never buy anything from this people, and I definitely don't recommend anyone do so.

Went into the store today, the staff member couldn't put her own phone down and basically couldn't be bothered. This store used to be excellent bring back those staff please! Disgraceful couldn't be arsed attitude.

My husband bought a sumsang phone from the shop in Yeovil before Christmas, yesterday after only 4 months use, it stop working completely. I went to shop this morning try to exchange or repair the phone, because my husband is on business trip, even I have all the recipe and my ID on me, they will not do anything because it's my husband's phone! The woman said it's THE LAW. What is even worse? I ask for a replacement phone because clearly everybody needs their phone, that woman said they don't have any replacement phone either! I said to her this service is horrible, she replied she cannot be anymore polite. Such a joke!

Not given correct information. Will take up to 5 days to cancel the line. All I got was sorry we can't help but is there anything else we can help with. Didn't help in the first place.

Bought a phone Monday. Excellent advice from salesperson. Set up phone by Geek Squad. Discounted price with full insurance. Smashed phone next day. They replaced it straightaway and did the paperwork and also set up the new phone. On every occasion the staff were helpful gave good advice and sent me away a very happy customer.

Bought a new phone just before Christmas and the touch screen stopped working. So took it back to Carphone Warehouse in Dunstable to sort out. They told me they could not fix it nor replace it and had to be sent way and all my Christmas photos would be deleted, not good. However was told the Tec Team in Luton would be able to help, no they don’t have a clue either, vacant expression all round. I think it would be a good idea to invest and train the staff so they can help! So I sent off the phone knowing that all my Christmas photos where going to be deleted great once again! Then I waited for a phone call that never came, they said at the store they would contact me when it was fixed but it could take up to two weeks or a month. After more than a month I phoned up the repair centre and they said it had been ready for pick up for some time. Thanks for NO phone call carphone warehouse Dunstable. So I went and picked it up which took longer than planned as people didn’t know how to put my sim car in the phone, and now under a month later I have got no service Sim card issues. All I want is a phone that works no thanks to carphone warehouse where I thought a reputable retailer would be able to sell good quality phones and provide a good service. Very disappointed the amount of time and stress this has caused me it’s not worth ever going back to them for anything!

Poorly customer service. Not very satisfied with the customer consultants. I had to go at the shop about five or more times to get the phone i was after. I was at least expecting the people working there to be more willing and happy to help ....

Visited the Banbury store and they were really helpful and spent lots of time making sure I got the best deal, unlike EE who couldn't be bothered!!! I would definitely recommend going to this store for help with any phone queries.

55mins Head office call.......Called 9 times diverted to South Africa then Acton, bloody everywhere. Those executives simply don't want to be contacted. SCARED, they must be frightened of their customers...YOU and ME. THEN the survey at the end....THAT was cut short when they requested more details. Head Office must be dreadful place to work, in a bunker and avoiding all contact with the outside world. NEVER, Never, never would I have any more contact with this miserable organisation.

Terrible service from this Company. Tried to upgrade 10 days ago , paid up front for an upgrade phone, never received, upgrade stuck in "fulfillment" ---- big black hole. Can't upgrade with Carphone Warehouse or anywhere else in fact until they sort it out. Store & Customer Services just fob you off! Will never use them again.

Absolutely awful service. Took over a week trying to get my phone delivered - that was meant to be delivered within 2 days originally. In the end had to go through the complaints department to try and get it delivered, and even they were incompetent. They shouldn't be able to call it 'customer service' - regret even ordering through them.

Looked at their website saying that if not satisfied could exchange hand sets within 14 days. Had galaxy s6 but tried an iPhone 7. Couldn't get on with it so went back to change for a galaxy s7. Was told that because I took out an early upgrade they wouldn't exchange. When I asked why I had not been told this at the time their basic attitude was it not their problem. If you want an upgrade my advice is to go elsewhere to take out a contract.

I don't know where to begin. I have had a phone in and out of repairs for 14 months. After a year they wouldn't even admit the handset is clearly faulty beyond repair and offer me a replacement phone or a refund, so I've had to buy a handset myself. They have now lied and said they have replaced the handset, when I can see the same mark on it that I had from my model and the notes on their computer said "new main board". They leave me with the only option to sell my 14 month old handset to try and recuperate some of the costs of buying a new one.

Service in shop was good when I purchased phone. But am still waiting for phone to be connected after nearly 72 hour. I have been in another shop since have rung head office that past the buck and criticise 02 telling me they would not know about the state of my contract and 02 slatted car phone warehouse. I'm still waiting to be connected Ithought the customer should be treated with respect how stupid of me. I will be taking phone and cancelling contract if not sorted as I am getting fed up of having a new phone with no service back in the shop tomorrow .now thinking why I did I go back to car phone warehouse to upgrade as they r treating me like an idiot on the phone. Suggest u train helpline staff better.

So they sold me a phone about a year and half ago and I was quite happy with it. It suffered a software failure at the tail end of 2016, got it replaced, it took 2 weeks but no bother. Then immediately upon updating it gets incredibly hot and develops a hairline crack in the screen. "Never mind", I think, it's still functional and does what I need so I keep it. Then at the start of this year it develops the same software failure as my original. "Time to take it back", I think. After an hour and a half of them failing to work their stock system correctly the replacement is ordered and I'm told a 24 hour turnaround. Except it actually takes several days. Not impressed thus far. Immediately upon unboxing the second replacement, it fails to find any networks whatsoever. Very unimpressed at this point as even my previous replacement got signal fine anywhere I went. So I take it back and half to pay my insurance excess because of the crack in my screen. Not my fault but I don't care, I just want a working phone. It takes another 3 visits (each one lasting around an hour and a half) for them to figure out their stock system again. Now it's been almost 2 weeks (after being promised another 24 hour turnaround) on my 3rd replacement handset, they've refunded the excess but it's hardly adequate for a list of broken promises and failed solutions almost as long as my arm. The wait continues....
